Most of the requested songs were not played, the DJ itself went MIA in several instances for hours at a time, did not came prepared with batteries for the microphones, and the sound was hard to understand in a small venue. His attitude was top notch, he was fun and knew how to uplift the mood, but definitely did not follow through with the promise of service as presented by the company.

We had a meeting with the company one week out which was so helpful for confirming the timeline and songs. Elijah kept the energy perfect and the dance floor busy throughout the reception. He helped move the reception along throughout all the different pieces. The music selection was perfect and what we had requested. Thank you for making our wedding reception a night to remember!

The DJ had guests ask me before playing any songs that may have fallen on our do no play list. The DJ, Ty, was upbeat and had everyone dancing all night!

the order we had picked, they told us via email they could no longer provide us with our one request of them. This was something we had discussed with them repeatedly via phone call after phone call, and they reassured us it could happen. Then TWO WEEKS before the wedding they told us they couldn't provide that because their system couldn't do that. We told them this was the exact opposite of what they confirmed with us, before we put the deposit down, and they continued to say there was nothing they could do. I notified them that this was a dealbreaker, since they completely went back on their word to us, and they refused to give us our deposit money back. I understand "deposits" and "non-refundable payments" when the customer backs out of the commitment, but when a company LIES to their customer and then they can't provide what they guaranteed them, it seems like that is a one-off circumstance in which you should, out of good faith, refund their money. We verified that we could have full control of the music, they said we could, we paid, then they emailed us weeks later saying "the DJ will decide on what music is played when by reading the dance floor." They then ignored our emails for over 24 hours, and my husband had to contact them via phone directly in order to fully cancel the reservation and get our second payment back. However, we still lost almost $1,000 because DJ Connection basically deceived me and my husband. Thank goodness I found another DJ, who was great, just a week before my wedding who could exactly fulfill what we wanted in a Dj in the first place.

Unfortunately, during ancheck-in call with DJ CJ, he made us feel uncomfortable for being a same-sex couple, stating, “Oh, I didn’t realize it was that type of wedding.” This really put a bad taste in our mouths, and we probably would have looked elsewhere for a DJ if it wasn’t a week away. On the day of the wedding, we really enjoyed DJ JT and the DJ he was training. However, there was a mix-up, and he did not play most of our “Must Play” songs. Thankfully, the dance floor stayed crowded the whole night, but it was not to songs that we were looking forward to hearing.

ral vibe for the evening. We basically let our DJ, Brandon, decide what songs to play during the dancing portion of the evening. And he absolutely killed it. We didn't necessarily have the most lively group of guests in the world. Privately, we kind of expected not to have much of a dance floor throughout the reception. However, Brandon's music selections kept the dance floor active throughout the night, so much so that there were still people dancing when he announced that it was time for the last song, around 3 hours into the reception. In addition to keeping the party going in terms of the dancing, Brandon was a fantastic MC on the night, making announcements, and even going around to dismiss tables (with his only guidance being to send the two of us and our wedding party first). Brandon also approached us throughout the day to see if everything was going as planned or if we needed to change anything. He was very accommodating to changes. For example. we started our reception around half an hour early (to get everyone in from the heat), and he had no problem pivoting to this new schedule and even helping us add moments that hadn't been planned in advance to fill the time. We did find the portal to be a bit annoying to use for song selections, but someone called us around a week before the wedding and went through every individual moment in the ceremony to determine what song should be played when. And he was fine with us not having specific preferences for some of these individual moments.

cess. The only thing that we wish had gone differently was the scheduling for the final meeting with our DJ. When we booked, one of the first questions we asked was if we would have the opportunity to speak with our DJ before the wedding day. They assured us that we would be able to a few weeks before the wedding when all of our music details had been solidified. This time came around and we had not heard anything from anyone, so we reached out to request a meeting with him. After numerous back-and-forth calls and emails, we were finally contacted by our DJ just three days before the wedding. This was incredibly stressful and not at all an ideal time considering how busy wedding weeks are. My husband and I are both professional musicians, so our reception music was very important to us. We handpicked every song on our playlist, so it was crucial that we met with our DJ to ensure everything was in order before our big day. As mentioned, our DJ did reach out to us, so everything ended up going perfectly on the day of. We would have just appreciated having our meeting prior to our wedding week. That being said, our DJ (DJ Braxton) was fantastic and kept our reception running so smoothly. The lighting and music volume were perfectly set, and we could not be happier with how the night went!

e were all good. He introduced himself before the ceremony and ran through our timeline with us just to confirm everything he had was correct. It was obvious he really loves his job and loves to bring people joy on such an important day. We would definitely recommend Thomas for your DJ needs!

uring the wedding. The only complaints I have is that I never actually knew who my DJ was or spoke with my DJ until the wedding day. I also provided a timeline for the day with specific times for the bouquet toss and garter toss which were missed causing my photographer and videographer to stay later than anticipated. These were only minor hiccups but did cause a little frustration in the moment. Everything else went smoothly and our DJ even checked with us before the reception to make sure he had the correct names. I would still recommend using them as your DJ for the day.

You don't work with your DJ directly until the day of, and we had to correct the staff we were calling with on some key details. The price is great, overall we had a very positive experience with our DJ, and the online portal is easy to use, but it does seem that the staff making planning calls doesn't always have the details right or know the ins and outs of what will happen day of.

They perfectly timed the ceremony and reception moments just right. Jovet brought us waters during dinner time and checked in with us multiple times before the dances and dance floor opened. He was also into our idea to have our maid of honor and best man Rock Paper Scissors for who went first and coordinated that with them. He was a lot of fun and we had a great time. We cannot recommend them enough!!
