Had the pleasure to use DJ Connections as our DJ for our wedding back in October 2023! Our DJ was amazing!!! Planning process was easy and extremely funny! Highly recommend using DJ connections for your wedding!

DJ Connections did an amazing job! We had a few phone call meetings with their team to run through our wedding day and ensure everything was in place as we wanted it. They arrived on time, set up and moved from ceremony to reception effortlessly, and met with us a few times throughout the reception to make sure everything was going well. The DJ had guests ask me before playing any songs that may have fallen on our do no play list. The DJ, Ty, was upbeat and had everyone dancing all night!

The DJ we had was absolutely wonderful he made the night perfect, he followed everything that was asked! We even ended the night a little early and he still played music as we packed up! I highly recommend this company!

This was the WORST experience. We had to part ways with DJ Connection two weeks before our event, because after confirming with us that they could play the exact music we wanted in the order we had picked, they told us via email they could no longer provide us with our one request of them. This was something we had discussed with them repeatedly via phone call after phone call, and they reassured us it could happen. Then TWO WEEKS before the wedding they told us they couldn't provide that because their system couldn't do that. We told them this was the exact opposite of what they confirmed with us, before we put the deposit down, and they continued to say there was nothing they could do. I notified them that this was a dealbreaker, since they completely went back on their word to us, and they refused to give us our deposit money back. I understand "deposits" and "non-refundable payments" when the customer backs out of the commitment, but when a company LIES to their customer and then they can't provide what they guaranteed them, it seems like that is a one-off circumstance in which you should, out of good faith, refund their money. We verified that we could have full control of the music, they said we could, we paid, then they emailed us weeks later saying "the DJ will decide on what music is played when by reading the dance floor." They then ignored our emails for over 24 hours, and my husband had to contact them via phone directly in order to fully cancel the reservation and get our second payment back. However, we still lost almost $1,000 because DJ Connection basically deceived me and my husband. Thank goodness I found another DJ, who was great, just a week before my wedding who could exactly fulfill what we wanted in a Dj in the first place.

The DJ that was sent was fantastic, very friendly and read the room very well. I enjoyed the booking experience when we booked them in March 2022. The cocktail hour and ceremony music was exactly what we asked for. The only thing I really didn't like was the finalizing 'guru' calling. I found him to be very pushy in trying to upsell us to get a second speaker set up, despite the small size of venue.

my daughter was married 10/14/2023. the dj she was supplied with was extremely sub par. she did not set up her equipment well and people could not be understood during speeches. she cut out during the father/daughter dance and they finished the dance with no music and were leaving the dance floor when she restarted the song. after the wedding party dances were over she played ONE song that was on the brides playlist. when the bride told her to stop playing rap and unapproved songs, her request was ignored. the dj played her own choices and most of those were line dancing songs. she even did a repeat play. guests started leaving almost two hours before the reception ended and cited the dy as the reason why. a live band was also there and played one set. bride was so upset with the dj that she asked the band if they could play a few more songs which they agreed to do. at one point the dj got on the mike and said she would be back right after this song....well she disappeared . the band didn't know what to do and actually got on their mike calling her and saying "dead air". a bridesmaid spotted her in a corner talking and went to get her; she approached and waved her arms telling the band to play another song. they played two before she got back to her equipment and proceeded to play NO other song that was on the brides playlist. this was simply disgusting. this person needs to be FIRED. whose wedding was it anyway. do NOT let her to do this to another bride and groom.

We actually met our DJ, Jovet, at an open house and he is the sole reason we booked DJ Connections. He was so professional and fun and we knew he would be awesome. We were so excited to have him as our DJ - he was the perfect amount of "involved", read the dance floor perfectly to get the vibes we wanted and the party going, and paid attention to detail/timeline - nothing went wrong! He was incredible and we are so happy with Jovet and DJ Connections! *At time of booking they said they could not promise that we would get Jovet but made a note of our request and ended up being able to honor our request*

They were such a great pick! The entire process was fabulous! Made picking songs and setting up reception time line fun. The DJ checked in several times through the night to ensure we were happy and having fun. Had people dancing and laughing. Highly recommend!

We first encountered DJ Connection at a wedding show in St. Louis, where we had a great interaction with the team. DJ Connection gave us access to a portal, where we were able to create a list of “Must Play” and “Do Not Play” songs. This was very helpful, and something we took full advantage of! Unfortunately, during ancheck-in call with DJ CJ, he made us feel uncomfortable for being a same-sex couple, stating, “Oh, I didn’t realize it was that type of wedding.” This really put a bad taste in our mouths, and we probably would have looked elsewhere for a DJ if it wasn’t a week away. On the day of the wedding, we really enjoyed DJ JT and the DJ he was training. However, there was a mix-up, and he did not play most of our “Must Play” songs. Thankfully, the dance floor stayed crowded the whole night, but it was not to songs that we were looking forward to hearing.

Other than a few specific songs for a few key moments, we had very little that we knew we wanted going into the wedding day. We didn't make any sort of playlist or even have a general vibe for the evening. We basically let our DJ, Brandon, decide what songs to play during the dancing portion of the evening. And he absolutely killed it. We didn't necessarily have the most lively group of guests in the world. Privately, we kind of expected not to have much of a dance floor throughout the reception. However, Brandon's music selections kept the dance floor active throughout the night, so much so that there were still people dancing when he announced that it was time for the last song, around 3 hours into the reception. In addition to keeping the party going in terms of the dancing, Brandon was a fantastic MC on the night, making announcements, and even going around to dismiss tables (with his only guidance being to send the two of us and our wedding party first). Brandon also approached us throughout the day to see if everything was going as planned or if we needed to change anything. He was very accommodating to changes. For example. we started our reception around half an hour early (to get everyone in from the heat), and he had no problem pivoting to this new schedule and even helping us add moments that hadn't been planned in advance to fill the time. We did find the portal to be a bit annoying to use for song selections, but someone called us around a week before the wedding and went through every individual moment in the ceremony to determine what song should be played when. And he was fine with us not having specific preferences for some of these individual moments.

We looooooved our DJ! He literally attended to not only our guests but us as a couple! He brought out safety Pins when my bustle broke, he MCd, he did it all. 100% reccomend booking this DJ. Their website made everything so easy for "dances, must play, don't play" etc. They call to walk through exactly what you are wanting/envisioning.

Our DJ kept checking with us to make sure everything was good, what time we wanted things with some last minute changes, and even brought me a water after photos to help me hydrate! He was perfect for our big day!

We hired our DJ pretty early on in the process. The website was very user friendly and allowed us to customize our music to our liking. We had a phone call around 2 weeks out and were able to get the timeline organized. Day of DJ was great and listened to our needs.

My husband and I booked DJ Connection for our wedding reception last month. We were very happy with our experience and appreciated how friendly everyone was during our planning process. The only thing that we wish had gone differently was the scheduling for the final meeting with our DJ. When we booked, one of the first questions we asked was if we would have the opportunity to speak with our DJ before the wedding day. They assured us that we would be able to a few weeks before the wedding when all of our music details had been solidified. This time came around and we had not heard anything from anyone, so we reached out to request a meeting with him. After numerous back-and-forth calls and emails, we were finally contacted by our DJ just three days before the wedding. This was incredibly stressful and not at all an ideal time considering how busy wedding weeks are. My husband and I are both professional musicians, so our reception music was very important to us. We handpicked every song on our playlist, so it was crucial that we met with our DJ to ensure everything was in order before our big day. As mentioned, our DJ did reach out to us, so everything ended up going perfectly on the day of. We would have just appreciated having our meeting prior to our wedding week. That being said, our DJ (DJ Braxton) was fantastic and kept our reception running so smoothly. The lighting and music volume were perfectly set, and we could not be happier with how the night went!

TY was a riot! We loved his engagement and energy during our entire night. The music was absolutely perfect and they were easy to work with.

We had DJ Thomas for our wedding day and he was just wonderful! Full of energy, kept everything running on time, and would check in with my husband from time to time making sure we were all good. He introduced himself before the ceremony and ran through our timeline with us just to confirm everything he had was correct. It was obvious he really loves his job and loves to bring people joy on such an important day. We would definitely recommend Thomas for your DJ needs!

Overall, DJ Connection did great and kept the crowd going with the music selection we made. Their portal is pretty easy to access and add music that you want for specific moments during the wedding. The only complaints I have is that I never actually knew who my DJ was or spoke with my DJ until the wedding day. I also provided a timeline for the day with specific times for the bouquet toss and garter toss which were missed causing my photographer and videographer to stay later than anticipated. These were only minor hiccups but did cause a little frustration in the moment. Everything else went smoothly and our DJ even checked with us before the reception to make sure he had the correct names. I would still recommend using them as your DJ for the day.

DJ Connection was wonderful from the very beginning booking to the last call of our wedding night. Organized, streamlined for ease, and the DJ was upbeat and energetic. Our bridal party switched up their entrance to reception at the last minute and he was so good at being flexible remembering everyone’s names. The ceremony music was also spot on. Thank you!

Thomas kept everything on time. There were meetings to get everything sorted before the wedding and they knew what they were talking about. The online site made it easy to add songs.

We absolutely LOVED the MC his name escapes me but he did an amazing job! He moved the night along perfectly. The only issue we had was my guests wanted to start requesting songs and were told they can't just play any song that it had to be on the list provided which I did not realize how rigid that list was or I would've spent more time really thinking about it but other than that they were perfect and I would still HIGHLY recommend them for your event!

We had Summer as our DJ and she was very outgoing, communicative, and flexible with us the day of. Communication was great prior to the wedding day as well. Lighting, sound, and our playlist was great and exactly what we wanted. Our microphone for the ceremony cut in and out during but unsure if that was due to wind because it was outside

I was hesitant to book with DJ Connection because they’re a bigger company, but I am so glad we ended up booking with them. The pricing was affordable, they had all the songs we wanted for our wedding, and our DJ, Da’Vyne, did an amazing job. She played all our favorites and had the crowd up and dancing. Everything went seamlessly from the set-up outside for our ceremony music to the move inside for the reception. She also made sure to make all the announcements we asked for. I’d book again in a heartbeat.

DJ Davyne was incredible - she had great energy all night and was able to accommodate our many requests, including our intro which we wanted done in a specific style. She was prompt, professional, and did an amazing job making our reception the party we wanted it to be. I took off a star just because the process leading up to the wedding was a little concerning. You don't work with your DJ directly until the day of, and we had to correct the staff we were calling with on some key details. The price is great, overall we had a very positive experience with our DJ, and the online portal is easy to use, but it does seem that the staff making planning calls doesn't always have the details right or know the ins and outs of what will happen day of.

Mateo was the best! He kept us on schedule all night and read the room really well when choosing songs. He kept the energy high, which is exactly what we wanted!

As I look over all the other reviews posted here, I get more and more upset. We did not have a good experience at all with the DJ from DJ connection for my daughters wedding. From the minute the DJ walked into our venue, problems started. As the mother of the bride, I am well aware of what my daughter wanted in her music and was part of the selection process. Immediately, the DJ began asking questions that had previously been answered on the online booking and subsequent calls from the company. She seemed very confused as to what was going on and it was almost as if this booking had been thrown on her last minute. First, She played the recessional music in the middle of the ceremony, not to mention hard cuts in the music. Next, she moved so slowly and I talked so softly that no one could hear her. The equipment she used was inadequate. For the father of the brides speech and dinner prayer, she denied them the use of her microphone even though the other one she gave them was cutting in and out. The second song played at the reception was one of my daughters 5 do not play songs. Only half of the requested songs, at best, were played. Each change of song included at least 5 seconds of dead air, no flow from one song to another. The DJ had no idea of how to read her audience as time and time again she cleared the dance floor with the songs she selected. At the end of the night, one of our guests went to ask for a change of music since no one was on the dance floor and she told them only the bride could request that. Being MOB, I went up and asked her to change the music and once again she refused even as I told her I was paying the bill. Please, please look elsewhere. Maybe other DJs with this company will do a better job but the girl we ended up with ruined our reception. We felt disrespected and our requests went by unanswered. You cannot risk being set up with such a clearly ill prepared person running your ceremony and reception music.

I met this vendor at a bridal show & instantly loved them. I wasn't able to book that day but I did go back to day 2 of the show just to book them. I had a small crowd for my wedding & all of my guests loved my DJ. He was sweet & came to find me for the reception(i didn't use them for my ceremony as the location I was at had no outlets)to verify everything he had was correct. He did an amazing job & my daughter(9) and he became besties with all the speeches and special requests she had. Would highly recommend.

They have a great questionnaire that really outlines what the couple wants for their wedding day and listened to feedback. I liked that they checked in with us throughout the evening to make sure we were happy.

DJ Connection was a great addition to our wedding day. From the booking process, to the online library to request songs, to having Jovet as our DJ for our wedding day, everything was a great experience. They understood we were a couple on a budget and were able to work with us in ways that other companies were not. They perfectly timed the ceremony and reception moments just right. Jovet brought us waters during dinner time and checked in with us multiple times before the dances and dance floor opened. He was also into our idea to have our maid of honor and best man Rock Paper Scissors for who went first and coordinated that with them. He was a lot of fun and we had a great time. We cannot recommend them enough!!

Jovet Hutcherson of DJ Connection went above and beyond for our wedding reception. We got compliments all night long and in the days after about how incredible he was and how he kept the party going. He even hand delivered my husband and I water during dinner, and checked in on us throughout the night to make sure things were going smooth in terms of timeline, opening windows, pacing the songs. Absolutely incredible and way more than I would have expected of a DJ. We and our wedding guests absolutely recommend!!!

The DJ that was sent to our wedding was lovely and communicative. We spent 2 months curating a soundtrack to our wedding, talking with two different people at the company (neither the actual DJ onsite), and only heard 2 songs played on our list after dinner and the special request songs. Once dinner was over it was a constant stream of dance/party music, it never slowed down once for any of our guests to slow dance. Moving forward the company should put you in contact with the DJ for your event, so they are in the loop.

We initially were nervous about booking a national DJ company that we weren't going to be able to personalize our experience very much. We learned pretty quickly that would not be the case. The online tool to add specific songs we wanted, as well as plan out our wedding day timeline was super user friendly and made planning so much simpler. Everyone we spoke to was very upbeat and friendly and always double checked information to make sure everything was correct. Our DJ the night of made sure to check in with us throughout the night to make sure we still felt good and to let us know what was coming up. Our guests made so many comments throughout the night about how fun the dance floor was!

Mixed review as I was horribly dissatisfied and disappointed with the National company as a whole but incredibly impressed with our specific DJ. The larger company very much made us feel as “just another client”- we were treated as cookie cutters and felt like we received the same robotic or pre planned conversations on every phone call. They frequently got our details for the reception wrong and it took contacting the manager numerous times before getting everything correct. Further, they made us jump through a ridiculous number of hoops and obstacles in order to speak with our actual DJ in advance of the wedding day. However, our specific DJ was absolutely perfect- so thoughtful in checking in with us before and throughout the reception to optimize our party. His attention to detail and ability to seamlessly blend songs was fantastic. He truly made our party a blast and so many guests were complimentary of him! Bottom line: the company is bad as a whole but our specific DJ I would book AGAIN and AGAIN!

We booked through DJ Connection for our reception in St. Louis. Our DJ was VERY, VERY kind and really just wanted the reception to be fun. He definitely seemed nervous, but the DJ was professional, caring, and kept the dance floor popping. The DJ Connection lets you personalize your music choices so you can make requests for special songs and song recommendations. Also, when calling the main office, everyone was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend DJ connection for a wedding reception.

We loved our choice in dj connection. They were great throughout the whole Process from booking, planning, and day of. Our DJ was Adam and he did a great job. We had a blast and it was nonstop dancing thanks to DJ Adam.

Company had lots of follow-through to put our minds at ease during the stressful time of the pandemic. We were able to reschedule easily after covid started and postponed our April wedding, and when the time came for our big day in August our DJ did a great job. DJ JB played everything we requested and the night went off without a hitch. Great experience!

We had a great experience with DJ Connection for our wedding 10/03/20. There was some nervousness about not knowing who our specific DJ would be when we first booked but due to COVID we actually really appreciated knowing there would be back-up DJs for us in case the assigned one got sick/was exposed. We met our DJ for the first time during the cocktail hour and instantly liked his vibe. He did a great job of directing the flow of the evening based on the timeline we provided and all our special songs were played as we needed them. We did make a list of "requests" but told the DJ to use his judgement since he is the professional after all and he did use a few from our list but overall did his own thing and it was great. I'm sure if you want them to be a human ipod and just play the list they would do that too. Great experience overall and definitely affordable. We've gotten a ton of compliments on the DJ since the wedding which is awesome.

DJ Connection did a great job. They were affordable and helped us work with our wedding budget. They were very organized and communicated thoroughly. We chose to use a monogram light very last minute and they came through! Their system to choose our music was smooth and self explanatory. Our guests enjoyed the DJ because he took their requests and actually played them! Our dance floor was full and everyone had a blast!

They did a fantastic job with our reception! They work with you on everything with music choices to the energy level of the dj. I think they did a wonderful job and I highly recommend.

Did an acceptable job

A great DJ for a great price. He kept the party lively and was timely. Wish they would have done a little more "DJ" and blending of songs as opposed to sounding like a playlist was on. Overall, would recommend.

DJ Connection did an amazing job at our wedding. I think our DJ's name was DJ Samuel and he was very kind and friendly. He got everyone to dance on the dance floor. I would highly recommend them.

I was very disappointed with our DJ. First he started off by telling our parents they needed to go where the wedding party was and buy us food because we “needed food in our system.” No one was even drunk, nor is it his place to order our parents to go buy us food on our wedding day. So the mother of the bride had to walk down the street, in the dark, downtown, just to get there and realize everyone was perfectly fine. Then I walked her back. Then he pretty much forgot the speeches and squeezed them in at the end of the night, when no one is still there or not paying attention. Also, during the cake cutting, he was playing nothing, then played the correct song for 2 seconds, then nothing again, then the wrong song, then nothing again and then that was it. And it’s all on tape if any verification is needed. And close to the end, he was aggressively telling people to “get out” and saying he was gonna play baby shark if people didn’t get out. He eventually gave up but the time limit wasn’t even up yet. So overall, it was just the only bad part of an otherwise perfect day. Your money is better spent with anyone else other than this guy.

DJ connection is amazing!!! we had DJ the DJ work our wedding ceremony and our reception and he was amazing!! setting up with DJ connection was easy, and zero stress!! our DJ made sure we stayed on time with everything!! took our requests and took others. they are amazing and so much fun!! Had the party going and people dancing to the last song of the night!! I would recommend them for all weddings! He got the guest involved the dance floor was never empty. He communicated with is all night found us when he needed something or when we needed to be reminded of something it was just so amazing. when my husband left his phone on our party bus dj was on his phone calling the company without a second thought! amazing service.

From a wedding photographers point of view, good DJ’s are hard to find. Dj Cesar knocked it out of the part with his fun personality and great music selection. He’s the perfect hype man for the job! Would definitely recommend DJ Connections

DJ Connection was AMAZING!!! I highly recommend them. Every single person I spoke to during this process had great energy and was very helpful. They are also very affordable too! Shout out to Ceaser, our DJ. Everyone at my wedding loved him. He accommodated any last minute changes and was very personable. He mingled with guest during his breaks and made sure to have fun while working. He was always smiling and had great energy the entire night.
