We chose a venue outside the state we live in, and wanted to choose a planner who we trusted to help plan and create our dream wedding! From the first call we had with Maggie, we knew she and her team were exactly what we were looking for. Through out the process, Maggie was extremely helpful and made herself available when ever we had a question, concern, or just needed to vent. She would go out of her way to take time to see how we were doing as we got closer to the big day.
Our wedding weekend was a dream! Everything was beyond what we expected and everything went seamlessly. Maggie and her team were so helpful and professional, we can not thank them enough!

Maggie and her entire team were so helpful from start to finish. Not only were they integral in finding most of my other vendors, but Maggie eased my anxiety and helped me stick to a timeline the whole way through. Working with Maggie & the DGE team for our wedding was hands down the best decision we made.
We hired Maggie mostly for the planning, coordination, and execution (we had already picked our venue and hired most of our vendors).
Maggie was our saving grace throughout the wedding planning process; she was a guide, a visionary, an organizer, a sounding board, a realist, an artist, and most importantly - a friend. Maggie is an expert in every way possible and a true master of her craft - she kept us on track, alleviated exponential amounts of stress, and made us feel supported every step of the way. The ONLY regret we have is not finding her before we started planning because we wish we could have worked with her longer! :) There are honestly few people as passionate, driven, genuine, and skilled as Maggie, and we are so grateful to have had the chance to work with her.
On the day of our wedding, we had 3 amazing members of the DGE team onsite - Ashley A., Ashley T., and Melanie - and they FAR exceeded every expectation we had. They coordinated every detail with our venue and vendors (and made sure everything was flawlessly executed), communicated with our families & wedding party, and did everything they could to make sure we had the wedding of our dreams. If we needed a breather, a drink, a plate of apps for later, and even when my mother-in-law spilled red wine on my party dress….they were there to assist and shockingly got the stain out!
The entire DGE Team made sure our wedding day was flawless, seamless, and the fairytale we imagined. There simply aren't enough words to describe how extraordinary they are & grateful we feel. We could not speak more highly about Maggie and will forever cherish the DGE team.
We hired Maggie for our May 2022 wedding. It was a relatively short engagement (6mths) so we had to hop to it ASAP. Maggie was great at navigating the town of Bedford, NY's silly rules and regulations for our tent, generator, etc. She has a fantastic arsenal of folks she works with for flowers, tent, lighting, etc. We had some issues with our caterer (that we brought in) and Maggie was able to smooth everything out for us which was extremely helpful. Day of we had a few bumps with transportation and staying on schedule but it absolutely worked out in the end and they were by no means "day ruining" bumps. I was so grateful that she was able to make my vision for the lighting in the tent and for our flowers come to life. It was a dreamy wedding day in our back (and front) yard that I won't ever stop thinking about. Maggie is super organized, pleasant and professional. Highly recommend!
Amazing! We hired the Double G team about 7 months before our wedding. We planned to have everything on our property and knew tented weddings would have so many logistics. We hired Maggie for full service and her and her team was the best investment and decision we made. We could not have done this on our own and our wedding day was perfect! Thank you for everything!
We hired Maggie for full planning and design for our September 2020 wedding, which postponed twice because of Covid.
We would not have been able to get through the past two years without her. She kept us calm, updated and most of all supported. Our wedding day finally came and ... let's just say I cried tears of joy when we walked into our tent. It was beautiful and everything I ever imagined, wanted and more! Maggie and her whole vendor team worked so hard and I am so grateful to have them be a part of our wedding!

Maggie and her team are truly the best. I hired her in 2018 for a June 2020 wedding. Through every postponement and every turn Maggie and her team were there with any solution I needed. I finally had my perfect day May 29, 2021 and it is really all thanks to this team. If you’re looking for a wedding planner, please do yourself a favor and look no further than Maggie.

When we first reached out about a year before our January 2021 wedding she helped us set up a timeline and prioritize what tasks needed to be done when. Then Covid hit, so we decided to hit the pause button. Fast forward to about 5 months before our wedding... guidelines were changing but the uncertainty around them felt unnerving to us. Maggie listened to us and helped us navigate through everything seamlessly. About 3 months before the wedding we finally decided on a plan that felt safe.
Our original 140 person 8 hr wedding turned into a weekend long celebration with the 20 people we love most in this world, and it couldn’t have been more “us.” It was, by far, the most beautiful wedding I’ve ever been to in my entire life.
I would recommend Maggie hands down, with the utmost sincerity. She brings with her personalization, professionalism, and a team of vendors that are absolutely superb. So wether you’re planning a year out or are altering plans completely due to an unforeseen pandemic, my husband and I couldn’t recommend her more.

We had a destination wedding in South Hampton, New York with multiple events all weekend and we could not have done it without Maggie and her team. She was so amazing during the whole planning process and what we loved about her most was her out of the box ideas and guidance without being pushy. Our family and friends are still talking about how "authentically us" our wedding was! With three events in one weekend, I'm sure not all went smoothly, but we never heard or knew anything that went wrong, nor did we ever see Maggie or any of her team members break a sweat or look stressed. They always had a smile and were close by with anything we needed. Thank you all so much, it was a weekend to remember because of you and your team! It turned out what I was looking for was not a wedding planner or designer. However, I was still pointed in the right direction. They took time out of their schedule to help a bride that was not paying them and that courtesy was just amazing and very professional. If that is how they treat a non-client I bet their services are spectacular.

Maggie is the wedding planner any couple needs in their lives, whether they know it or not! As a bride who had zero interest in planning a wedding, Maggie and her team made the wedding planning process easier and more manageable in every possible way. Hiring Maggie and her team was the best decision we made for our wedding. She helped us with every decision and we never once felt like we were forgetting something major for the wedding. I was originally so overwhelmed with the decision making that we hired DoubleG to help out. It ended up feeling like I was planning the wedding with one of my friends. Maggie is so chill you never feel like the planning is a chore or a job.
All of her vendor recommendations were amazing. She gave just enough direction so that I didn't feel like her ideas were overpowering, but she let me know what would work best. She also gave me her honest opinion on vendors and which ones would work best with our style and budget.
I am still getting messages from people saying that they had never been to a wedding as cool that the one we had and we owe that all to Maggie and her team. They took all our jumbled ideas and made them into an amazing cohesive event. We never could have thrown such a perfect wedding without them. Seriously, hire them! You won't regret it
We were both living out of state, moving and finishing our residencies at hospitals so we were quite busy! We knew we wanted to have our wedding in Conn., where my fiance's family is originally from but had no idea where to start. From our first conversation, Maggie was friendly, informative, empathetic and funny! We felt comfortable with her right away. Maggie and Ashley were always very communicative throughout the whole planning process, checking in with us and making sure we were on schedule with planning, payments, etc. She has a great list of vendors to choose from and she always guided us to the ones the fit our style the best without being pushy.
On the day of our wedding, we didn't have to lift a finger or think any thoughts. There was always someone from the Double G team close by to assist with anything we needed. We're so happy with Maggie and Double G. They are most definitely worth the investment and peace of mind a bride needs during times of stress. I highly recommend them to anyone.
Honestly what can I say about Maggie and her team? They absolutely went above and beyond for our multicultural Indian-American wedding! My husband and I live in California so planning a dual wedding long-distance was no simple task! Maggie was flexible with her hours and made it easy to hop on a call as needed, despite the 3 hour time difference and our hectic work schedules. I did not have a clear vision of what I wanted from the outset, and Maggie was not only patient with me as I narrowed things down (and occasionally changed my mind on things), but was also helpful in guiding me through all the options. She picked up on my style right away and designed something that was out of a fairytale. Every one of our guests commented on how beautiful everything was and how smooth everything went. I didn’t have to worry about a thing on our wedding day and we were both able to just enjoy every moment. I could never have imagined a more perfect wedding! Thank you Maggie!
Maggie and her team are absolutely amazing. We both had very specific images in our heads of how we wanted the wedding to go, and Maggie and her team were able to both meet and exceed our expectations. We also both work full-time, so having an involved wedding planner was very important for us. Maggie and her team coordinated with the venue, the band, the florist, the photographer and videographer, the transportation, and the hotels for us, as well as worked with us on things we hadn’t initially considered, like wedding favors (which she and her team put together for us) and charger plates. Also, Maggie’s day-of wedding assistant Rhonda is fantastic! On the day of the wedding, Rhonda kept everything running incredibly smoothly, shepherding everyone to where they needed to go and keeping everyone calm. Everyone is still raving about how tasteful and well-organized our wedding was; we couldn’t have pulled it off without Double G. Most importantly, Maggie is very personable and passionate about her work. She is also very funny and make the environment very easy going, which is great because during wedding planning we were very stressed. We always had weekly phone calls for status updates. So, there was always constant communication every week. Maggie is more than just a wedding planner. She is a friend, who was there with us in our time of need. Grabbing coffee and discussing the wedding, etc…We recommend Double G to every wedding couple that is looking for a planner. They are awesome.
While my mother and I could manage the planning and coordination leading up to the wedding, having Amanda for the weekend of was invaluable! Amanda’s insight and experience were clear during the first meeting and the rehearsal ensuring every detail, many of which we hadn’t considered, was addressed. The day-of, Amanda made sure everything ran smoothly and gracefully handled what could have been a major transportation disaster. On top of all that, she even helped wash my feet after our sunset photo shoot on the beach, such a lifesaver! We would absolutely recommend Amanda and Double G Events to anyone!

Planning a wedding can be daunting! I don't know how any bride and do it without the help of a planner. Knowing all the ins and outs is overwhelming and hiring Double G was the best investment we made! We spoke with a bunch of other planners in the area, but Maggie was by far the friendliest and most honest. She told us about her "full disclosure" clause right from the start and we immediately felt comfortable and confident with her and her team.
During the planning process, Maggie referred the best vendors that fit what we were looking for and put together a wedding dream team. She was always responsive with any questions or concerns we had and I know our wedding day would not have been the same without them.
I looked through most of their reviews and it seems all of their clients have had very positive experiences with them with only one negative. While I can't speak for that bride and do feel badly, we never once had a negative experience with the Double G team! I guess there is always going to be that one bad Yelp review.
We would hire them ten times over and are so happy they were a part of such an important day. Thank you so much!
Working with Maggie has been nothing but a DREAM! She has inspired me to challenge and push myself to overcome my inhibitions and become the planner that I am today. I attribute all of my successes thus far to her and want to thank her for everything she has been able to teach me. Unfortunately, we did not have a positive experience with Double G Events. Our wedding venue didn't have a planner, so we thought it would be helpful to hire one. They came highly recommended, and it's clear many others have had great experiences with them. We got off to a good start. However, we soon noticed Maggie slipping on details - such as accidentally CCing our concerns with the venue staff to the venue staff. Our experience with Maggie and the Double G team went downhill from there. Some highlights:
* The week of our wedding, the venue considered not allowing our band to play (a complicated miscommunication). Maggie thought this was “entertaining”, and let the groom figure out how to resolve the issue.
*2 days before, Double G asked me to miss a lunch with 40 out of town guests the day of our rehearsal to accommodate THEIR schedule for having a handoff. They were inconvenienced by the drive to our venue and unwilling to arrive any other time.
* DoubleG committed to staff the wedding with 4 people and arrived with 2. They explained the day of the rehearsal (irritated when we asked) the other 2 staff would show up for the main event only (news to us!)
* We arrived early, prepped the venue, unloaded and labeled all the decorations. Catering would do the rest. When the Double G team arrived for the handoff, we had 2 remaining tasks. But they asked us: “So, who’s going to do that?” The tasks were not unreasonable, and I assumed they would take on responsibility at the handoff. But the implication was clear: they weren't going to do it, and the burden was on me - the bride - to or miss a pre-wedding family gathering to finish prepping. A friend had to convince them to help. There was no attempt on their part to problem solve.
* An hour into our rehearsal, the Double G team approached me and said they “were going to be done for the night.” Yes: they left an event they were supposed to be running. Our family and friends helped us clean up decorations.
* On the day of our wedding, no one checked in on me or the bridal party until I was already dressed and pictures were about to start.
* The DoubleG team was at our hotel venue but did not show up to finalize decorations for the reception. Perhaps they planned to get to it later, but family and friends agains jumped in to take care of it as we got to within an hour.
* During our reception, the groom asked for a plate of appetizers (which should have already been made for us). We probably weren't popular with their team at this point, but the DoubleG team member actually rolled her eyes at him and walked away. A friend eventually got us the food.
* The entire Double G team strolled into our wedding brunch on Sunday into their pajamas - bra straps showing, slippers on. Several of our guests commented on this. Incredibly unprofessional.
It was unclear to me if our wedding was too far away, too complex, or not worth enough money for DoubleG to care about. Perhaps they arrived and it was more work than they thought it should have been. However, ultimately the responsibility falls to the professional team to address miscommunications and try align our expectations with theirs, and they utterly failed to do this. I was upset at their rudeness and genuinely lacked confidence things would get done - and what do you hire a planner for if not to give you confidence things will be taken care of? I regret hiring Double G, and hope others consider this experience seriously before hiring them.

Maggie worked with us for months and executed our wedding vision the day of so beautifully. We had an idea in our head of what we wanted the day to feel like, and with Maggie's direction, we were guided through and felt involved in every detail. She brought everything together more than we could have imagined. She listened to me and pulled the vision together. I loved the look and feel of my wedding day so much and for that, I am so grateful. We also worked with Ashley during much of the planning process, who was amazing as well! The entire DGE team is great to work with. Maggie is direct, confident, flexible, and very good at what she does. Thank you so so much!!
Thanks to Maggie's flexibility and patience dealing with me and my last minute request, she customized a package for us and provided the amazing Amanda, our event planner for the month, the ceremony went smoothly and my sanity was saved!! My daughter's wedding was in Scenic GLP, CT , June 16, 2018 , The ceremony was on my sisters beautiful back yard overlooking the water. The reception was at a hall down the lagoon- and much of those details were taken care of by the caterer and the decorator. A month before we realized we could really use help with the pre ceremony and ceremony details. One of my other daughters was the officiant and could not be the task master of all the details of the weekend, nor could I. By the time I reached out to Maggie we were 2 weeks out. I met with Amanda the week before to go thru what we envisioned for the day, including the transportation details, a trolley from the hotel, the quartet , photographer and videotographer. She provided such great advice and support , and her calming personality put everyone at ease. The day of the wedding our trolley made one trip successfully and then got lost going back for the remaining 15 guests. If Amanda had not been there to handle this major hiccup I would have gone insane. She was so calm and professional. Then my husband got stabbed by the pin in his boutonniere as a result of a very aggressive hug by a guest- resulting in his very white shirt being blood stained right before family pictures- Amanda to the rescue- bleach stick and blow dryer and he was picture ready in 5 minutes. And then Amanda stayed for cocktail hour and introductions at the reception. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!!!! If I had to do this over again I would have hired Double G a year ago!!!
Our wedding day was the best day of our lives and I owe 98% of that to Maggie and her team! To put things in perspective: we hired Maggie in November 2017 for full-service planning of a June 2019 wedding. That is, until we decided to move it WAY UP to May 2018. Maggie didn't even bat an eye. In just 6 months, she was able to plan & design the wedding of my dreams. She helped me choose every detail along the way- and there was a LOT! From the big stuff: venue, caterer, florist, photographer, videographer, dress... to the smaller details: day-of signage, glam squad, linens, cutlery, lighting, floor plan, tables... the list was never ending. Also, the AislePlanner portal she uses for her clients was HUGE for staying organized with my guest list, RSVPS, table assignments, and personal checklist. If I thought she was irreplaceable during the planning process, she and her team absolutely sealed the deal on the day-of. Everything was planned down to the minute and went off without a hitch. I knew I was in the best possible hands and was able to totally relax and just ENJOY my wedding day when it finally arrived. I've heard from friends and family that it was the most beautiful, organized, and fun wedding they have ever been to. The tent & Maggie's design took everyone's breath away, and I received so many compliments about what a professional and organized team I had to support me on my wedding day. I would hire Maggie 10x over if I could- worth literally every penny and then some. Thank you thank you thank you again to the dream team: Maggie, Ashley, Ashley, and Jackie!!
Everyone has been raving to me about how lovely
the staff was on all fronts. And I mean RAVED!! They loved you, and everything connected with you. I have a well to do friend (who hopefully are planning their wedding for the only child, their daughter, who would be marrying her longtime boyfriend whom she met at St. Andrew’s in Scotland, a wonderful school.
Maggie, all I hear is how the whole event was perfect down to the last detail.
But the perfect thing about the wedding was YOU! I know that I am incredibly spacey, and you hung in there with me and forgave me for everything I managed to muddle up! But my distractions aside, you picked wonderful people in terms of every single vendor. It truly was the wedding of my dreams and you did it all. I don’t know how you do your job so perfectly, but I will tell you that just going to Compo Flower Shop to order three centerpieces for the rehearsal dinner and remembering to pick them up two hours later, and then transporting them to Bailey’s nearly put me around the bend!! You were truly a joy to work with, your competent and kind demeanor really clicked with me as well. I can’t thank you enough, Maggie. No words are adequate. You are superb!
I forgot to mention the staff, who were uniformly gracious. That sweet Ashley: so helpful. I kept asking her to run back downstairs because the centerpieces by the pool were continually on their sides and it was driving me nuts, as my windows look right down at the pool. I might have been a little obsessive about this, but Sweet Ashley never batted an eye. She just kept
cheerfully running back down to tell “someone”. Every single person more than earned their gratuities. I certainly didn’t spend an adequate time thanking them, which I regret deeply.

I cannot say enough good things about Double G Events! We decided 2 months out from our wedding to hire a planner and I honestly do not know how we would have pulled off the ceremony without one. Maggie was incredibly helpful with last minute arrangements and details and made sure the event ran smoothly and was enjoyable for everyone, including us! I would definitely recommend hiring a wedding planner and using Maggie and her team to any couple out there planning a wedding!
Hiring Double G Events was the best money spent throughout the whole wedding process. Many people questioned my decision to get a wedding planner but I knew I was not going to be able to pull off my vision for a backyard wedding on our farm singlehandedly. Little did I know just how useful Maggie and her team would prove to be! They planned and executed the most perfect day with every single detail accounted for and transformed an empty field into a beautiful, luxurious event space!
Maggie and her team are true professionals—they know the wedding industry inside and out and provided me with the most helpful guidance and connections along the way. I met nearly all of my vendors through Double G and know without a doubt that I would not have found such high quality vendors on my own. Maggie also knows what works and what absolutely does not and was not afraid to tell me when one of my wacky ideas was way off base. With that said, though, I never felt like the plan for the day wasn’t mine—it was as if she took my vision, tweaked it, made it more doable and ultimately so much better!
Maggie and Ashley were also always available to me—this was the best reason to go with the Full Planning package—whenever I had a question or was freaking out about something, they would email or call right away. Ashley’s emails were always encouraging and enthusiastic which was so appreciated especially toward the end when I was just wishing the planning would be over. Maggie met me all over the state for in-person consultations and accompanied me to every vendor meeting which made me feel like I was in such good hands.
On the day of the wedding, I didn’t worry about a single thing—I knew that it was all going to be taken care of by my Double G ladies! Everyone remarked at how gorgeous and unique the day was and kept saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to. So much of this is due to Double G! Their beautiful design and flawless execution made the day simply perfect. I think back and truly cannot believe that this extraordinary wedding was mine!

Maggie and her team helped us plan a wedding from out of state over a two year period. As a Type A person I loved how organized our day of timeline was and how it all came together. Maggie and her team were terrific, we used them for the finishing touches and it was well worth it! We encountered a few cliches towards the end with transportation I had booked months before, Maggie and her team stepped in and took care of everything without burdening us! They are very professional and were dedicated to making sure my daughter and I had a stress free wedding! Having the gals with us before and on the wedding day let us enjoy every bit of the wedding weekend. Can't recommend them enough!!!!

I have to say hiring Maggie as our planner was the best decision we made!! I would have been completely overwhelmed and I honestly could not have done this without her. After one conversation with Maggie I felt like I had a best friend who was going to look out for me and kick ass ;)
I had so many ideas (overwhelming!) and Maggie was able to help me keep it focused and would give her honest opinion/advice. I really appreciated that as I can really be all over the place ;) She kept me on a timeline and was always available to me via email or phone if I needed.
She made the whole process fun, exciting, organic and doable!
The result of working with Maggie was I got my dream wedding. She was able to bring it all to life. We got so many wonderful compliments on every detail of the wedding. My favorite one was that the wedding was so "us". My husband and I loved that.

Maggie is the absolute best wedding planner out there. Hands down. The moment we spoke to her we knew that we could trust her with anything. Ashley, her associate planner, is also amazing! Honestly, if I had another event in the near future I would call you immediately! I am so grateful for your time, patience, demeanor and most important, your attention to detail and quality. If I had only one thing to address, it would be rehearsal. And only because I felt like we needed another complete run through in order for the bridesmaids to know how to straighten Rachael's dress and so that Rach and Rob would've been closer together at them podium. About 2 months before our wedding, we realized that although we had a clear vision and all of our vendors booked, we really needed someone to come in and finalize all the details and coordinate the day of. Maggie and her team at Double G were just what we were looking for. Our wedding was in Connecticut, but with us residing in North Dakota for the military we had to plan our wedding from a distance. From the moment we contacted Maggie (4 months out from the wedding date) we immediately knew Double G Events would take care of us in the planning process. Leading up to the wedding Maggie was flexible with our Skype meetings, kept us on track and helped us design what the day would look like. We talked about flowers, colors, etc. and within a week she had an incredible design board planned out specifically for what we wanted. I still cannot believe that Double G Events was able to plan the wedding my my dreams in only 4 months. Maggie is extremely professional, gives great advice and is super friendly. She also has great taste and was able to help me create beautiful decor that was cohesive and also a reflection of my husband and I's personal taste. We are both artist so it was important that our wedding was beautiful without feeling stuffy. We had an outdoor wedding in Greenwich Ct and Double G Events was able to help us find rentals, catering and everything else we needed. I am forever grateful to them!
Maggie and her team did an excellent job from beginning to end. Maggie took the time to get to know my fiance and I and it made her stand out from other candidates. She was always quick to respond to questions we had. We were out of the country for the majority of the time before our wedding and Maggie was great about making sure everything was taken care of. We told her our vision and she executed it to a T. Rhonda was especially helpful checking in with me throughout the night to make sure I was happy and getting enough to eat and drink. I can truly say our wedding would not have been as fabulous without Maggie and her team.
I can't really offer anything to improve upon! I felt like everything was handled in a fun, mellow, and professional way. On the day of, I felt thoroughly attended to and appreciative of how Trisha managed everything. I am also the only bride I know who ate a ton at the reception as food kept appearing in front of me.

They helped with finding vendors, organization, ideas, and the day-of craziness! Not only that, but being a source of stress relief through all the planning.
It would be great if they could take more of an active role with splitting out a budget. We found it hard to stay within the budget and could have used more help breaking out the items in our planning.
