We had our wedding and ceremony here earlier this month and everything turned out absolutely amazing. Hayley was wonderful to work with. She was kind, organized, and helpful. She made our special day turn out perfect. The food was top notch. The roasted potatoes were a huge hit all the guests raved about them. The rest of the staff was very attentive. Overall our experience was a 10/10.

We hosted our wedding reception at DoubleTree and were absolutely thrilled across the board. 5 stars to say the least.
Hayley, DoubleTree's wedding coordinator, made the process a breeze. She is responsive and organized, gives great advice and easily adapts to changes in plans. Hayley worked with us for over a year and always made time to answer questions and give direction. Her guidance and experience was invaluable.
The space is huge and flexible. We reserved 3 of the 5 ballrooms and comfortably fit 200 guests. The space looks great as-is, but also is easily customizable for whatever look you're going for. We rented a dance floor, stage, bar and draping from outside vendors to get a particular look. DoubleTree and our vendors coordinated directly on setup and teardown, which made everything easy on us. We also used the foyer for our cocktail hour and liked how spacious it felt.
The food and drinks were outstanding. Catering at large events has a reputation for being bland and mediocre quality, but that was certainly not the case here. Dinner was on par with the nicest restaurants in town and we were impressed by the wide variety of entree and side dish options DoubleTree offered. The appetizers at cocktail hour were also a hit with guests. The portion sizes are great (especially on appetizers), much more than you would expect for the price. DoubleTree also has a good selection of beers and liquors on their standard menu plus they can place special orders through their distributor. Several guests commented how they enjoyed the meal and drinks.
We and our guests were happy with the rooms. The rooms are modern and spacious, and come with free breakfast and parking included. In particular, the suites for the bride and groom are huge. The block rate was generous, especially compared to the rates are similar hotels.
We appreciated how attentive, friendly and gracious the staff treated us and our guests all throughout the weekend. They really went above and beyond for us, and you could feel that they were putting their heart into it.
DoubleTree was the perfect fit for our wedding reception. They delivered a first rate event, all at a very reasonable price considering the quality and service level.
Picking to have our wedding reception at The DoubleTree was the best decision! Everyone who was there to help us was amazing and easy to communicate with, especially Hayley. Hayley was extremely helpful, answered all our questions, and helped turn our vision into reality. There were so many package options to choose from, for food or drink, and could fit many different types of needs. We ended up choosing one of the Buffett packages for dinner, and it was amazing. Our food was even better from what I had remembered from our tasting. Everything was perfect and I would definitely recommended having a wedding/event here!!
From beginning to end, our experience with Double Tree was nothing but wonderful. We worked with Hayley in the planning and vision for my daughter's wedding. She listened to our ideas and added her own experience to make it amazing. Double Tree was a perfect place because they have everything there......the room set up, some table decorations, food, and a place to stay if needed. We gave them the decorations and they set everything up for us and they took everything down after our evening and organized it for us to take home. They had plenty of staff to serve hors d'oeuvres (we had 300 people) during our appetizer time and 2 buffets set up to serve everyone quickly-everything was thought out and carried out! The reception area is beautiful and we even used their outdoor patio for our 'glow stick' send off. The food was delicious and we were able to sign a form 'releasing' the extra food that was left over (from people who didn't show up)-so the next day we enjoyed the food again once we were home. I can't say enough about this venue. It has EVERYTHING you need!!! Very easy planning!!!! We give it 10 million stars!!!
I have photographed dozens of weddings in Bloomington IL (Ernst Jacobsen Photography) and the DoubleTree is one of the best options for hosting a gorgeous wedding reception. The ballroom is beautiful plus there's a large room just outside the ballroom which is perfect for the cocktail hour. Top it off with an amazing wedding coordinator and catering service! Highly recommend.
Our wedding was the most magical and perfect day! I couldn't have asked for a better day. We worked with Diana for the majority of the planning and then with Hayley as she transitioned into her new role. Both ladies were organized, attentive, and great to work with. They made everything I had imagined come to life!
We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding at The DoubleTree! Diana was amazing and helped us with every last detail. It was great that our ceremony and reception could be in the same place without having to worry about transportation. They tore down ceremony and set up the reception very quickly and did a beautiful job. I would highly recommend having your wedding here.
The DoubleTree proved to be a great and convenient venue for both our wedding ceremony AND reception! Diana was amazing to work with. We had the most perfect day and all of our guests had a blast as well! Highly recommend.

My husband and I had the best time planning and preparing with Diana for our wedding reception. When we saw the final product of our reception hall we were blown away, as it exceeded our expectations. I had full confidence in Diana and her staff. They were so accommodating and hands-on. If we needed anything throughout the night, they made sure we knew how to find them. I would recommend them to anyone who is throwing an event— especially a wedding reception!
Fantastic venue and coordinator! Our wedding was this past April, but we booked this venue about 18 months in advance, and the coordinator, Diana, made planning a breeze. She was so polite, quick to respond to emails, and well organized throughout the entire process. Diana made sure all the decor was set up exactly how we wanted. The banquet staff was also fantastic! They were very accommodating, made sure anyone with allergies or dietary restrictions got the appropriate meal, and even carried my plate for me at the buffet so I wouldn't risk getting anything on my dress! We cannot recommend this venue enough! Our wedding was everything we hoped for and more!

Loved Diana , she was great to work with . Can answer any questions you have to make your wedding beautiful. Food is good, it is easy for your guests to book in your room block. Guests told us our reception looked like a fairy tale! They make decor a breeze, drop it off and they decorate everything and have it all in a room the next morning for you to pack & take . Room for us was beautiful. Liked having a space in the am for guests and us to visit before checking out . Loved the space .

We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception at the DoubleTree and had an amazing experience! Diana is so easy to work with and was so detailed and responsive from the moment we booked in March until the end of our wedding weekend! The staff made our vision come to life with every decoration and detail! All of our food at both our rehearsal dinner and reception was also amazing! We highly recommend this venue!

We had the BEST experience having our ceremony & reception at the Double Tree. Diana is by far the most organized, prepared & professional wedding coordinator EVER. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. She made the process so easy and stress free. She accommodated our needs and wants for an amazing wedding experience. The food choices were delicious! The staff was super nice and amazing as well! We were also provided suites so stay in , and get ready in making the day of an easier process. They also provided storage for our decor the day before so we didn’t have to set things up the day of or try and worry about getting everything together. As the bride I literally didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Not only is the double tree an amazing space to have a wedding but it’s affordable! So if you are struggling to find a venue Diana at the double tree is your go to girl!
We had our wedding and reception at the DoubleTree, and I can't say enough great things about them! Every little detail was taken care of by Diana and the staff, so we didn't have to worry about anything, which made the day so much less stressful. Diana is amazing, seriously. She was very responsive to my many questions, she helped me figure things out that I didn't even know I needed, and she made sure everything was perfect on the day of. We appreciate all of her help so much! It looked more beautiful than I even imagined, and it was so nice that they setup and tear down for you, so you can just enjoy the day/night. We also had so many guests comment on how beautiful it was and how delicious the food tasted. The DoubleTree definitely helped make our wedding day everything we wanted and more with very little stress. If you're considering this venue, do yourself a favor and go for it! You won't regret it.

When I say Diana and her team saved our wedding day I’m not over exaggerating! They took us on last minute when we had to change venues and handled all the details I didn’t even know I needed to think of. Getting married and having a wedding reception during a pandemic can be incredibly stressful! However, Diana and the Double Tree were so kind, flexible, and accommodating. They helped to make my wedding reception everything I dreamed it would be, even after having to switch plans around multiple times. I would highly recommend Diana and the Double Tree to anyone who wants to have the best reception. They won’t let you down! I look forward to working with them again in June when I have my big reception with all my guests who were unable to attend my wedding due to the pandemic. Thanks again, Diana!

Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect! From beginning to end, Diana was so helpful and accommodating. She’s so sweet and cares about every couple. They have their process down to a T because everything was so organized and they knew exactly what was going on. The DoubleTree is hands down the best place to get married at. Our day was absolutely perfect and it was all thanks to them. The organization is amazing, I felt 100% confident throughout the whole process that Diana knew what my vision was. While being a bride through COVID, I had a million questions and Diana was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole thing. The staff was all so kind, the food was great and they were so accommodating at making my visions come to life while being a COVID bride. Last minute we had our rehearsal dinner location cancel on us and they were right there to make sure we had a spot to host! They took all precautions and made everyone feel safe through the whole wedding process. They take the liberty to make sure the bride and groom (as well as their families) don’t have anything to worry about the next day-all you have to do is pack your cars back up! I mean how awesome is that! I cannot recommend them enough to any bride looking for a vendor, everything was simply amazing.

Diana what more can I saw that hasn't already been said ! She takes care of evey detail. She's amazing sweet and kind. She makes the day its self so chill. I didnt stress once! Trust me planning a wedding itself is hard planning a wedding during pandemic even harder! She went above and beyond to make sure my MOH son had his own separate dinner for our rehearsal and actual ceremony and also was able to get the beer i like brought in ! She made sure masks were available as well as sanitzer stations as well to help keep everyone safe ! The food it was amazing! The catering department and chef are fantastic! Everyone honestly loved the food ! The servers were so amazing! We lost a apart of decor for the wedding and on check out day it was found! In general It was well worth our 2 hour drive ! She even made sure all of our wedding party got cookies and she even arranged for shots for my bridal party before we walked in to our reception! I would give her 10 stars if i could! She constantly kept in touch any question no matter how small she answered with in 1 day max! For any future functions myself and my husband have we will glad drive 2 hours away for Diana and her wonderful crew! Thanks for making our day amazing!

I can not say enough how amazing our wedding turned out! We held both our ceremony and reception at the doubletree and every single detail turned out exactly I had imagined. The food was delicious and the staff was so sweet and understanding whenever I was nervous or had a question. I can’t say enough about this awesome venue and its staff! Diana is absolutely amazing to work with. Every little detail was thoroughly taken care of leaving me with literally nothing to worry or stress about. Needless to say planning a wedding during these times is a bit of a challenge, the Doubletree made our guests and ourselves feel very safe. The room we had our reception in turned out beautifully, our Happy Hour area was so nice as well! They literally handle every detail from set up to tear down so all we had to do was enjoy our day. We had numerous compliments on the venue, the staff and especially the food! It was amazing! I can’t recommend them enough to anyone looking for a venue, they truly go above and beyond!

Diana was amazing! We looked at multiple venues but the Doubletree was close to home and offered everything we needed! Diana did such an amazing job decorating and setting things up for us. I was so relaxed on our big day and it was from the help of everyone at the Doubletree! Our morning after breakfast was great. We were able to visit with our guests and open up gifts together. We had our reception at the Doubletree in November 2019. Overall we had a great experience! Diana did an amazing job helping to make our vision happen. The only issue we had was with our guests booking rooms in our block. Diana did help fix these issues when they occurred. I highly recommend this venue!
Diana Vincent took over part way through our planning process and did a phenomenal job. She was so sweet and genuine. She helped us with every decision and had great advice. She always responded promptly to questions. They set up and took down everything the day of which was incredibly helpful and took so much of the wedding day stress off of us. The ballroom was gorgeous and Diana helped bring my vision to life. All of the event staff was attentive, polite, and hard working. The red skin potatoes were delicious!
We loved the Double Tree for our reception. They were incredibly accommodating for us and were so easy to work with. With us being two brides, we didn't feel that they treated us any differently, which was very important for us. The event coordinator changed after we signed our contract, but Diana made the transition so easy. She really listened to what we wanted, answered all 9 million of my questions, and made sure that everything was just as we wanted. They have great package and food options, and ample space for larger groups - we had about 210 guests and 22 in the bridal parties and we did not feel crammed at all. One of the best parts was being able to drop off all of our decorations during the week before and they set everything up for us. This is such a huge relief not having to find time to go and decorate when you should be enjoying your time. After the night was over, everything was set over on one table which made packing up and loading super easy the next morning. I'll admit I was very picky and detailed, and I feel Diana handled that very gracefully. I absolutely recommend trusting the Double Tree and Diana with your special day.
Best Venue ever!!! We used their courtyard for our ceremony and used them for the reception as well. They made everything flow so easily and so convenient! They did great working with our other vendors for flowers, cake, DJ and so much more. Would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a great venue!
The Double Tree did an amazing job with both our ceremony and reception!! We had the time of our lives and so did our guests! It was so simple and calm the whole time we planned our wedding with them. So glad we picked them for our special day! We couldn’t of done it without their wedding and special events manager who helped me any way possible and she was very responsive with any questions or concerns I had :)

If you are planning a wedding in Bloomington-Normal, the DoubleTree is the place to have your ceremony/reception! We had a brunch reception and everything was absolutely perfect. Diana Vincent is an attentive, trustworthy, and organized event planner for the DoubleTree and made sure every detail of the event was executed. The food is delicious no matter what you choose, the linens, napkins, pipe and drape, food displays, and every other event item and service they offer are of great quality and will give your event a sense of high class. Diana and her team set up our centerpieces, table numbers, guest book, favors, signs, seating charts, and card box in the most beautiful way, which saved my husband and I a lot of time and worry. I can't recommend the DoubleTree enough!

From starting to plan our wedding reception with Ashley last May until the day of with Diana in June following Ashley's departure in early May, we had a seamless communication and execution experience in making our day memorable and enjoyable. Kaitlyn took great care of us in the interim, and Diana immediately reached out to us upon her arrival to confirm our plans and details.
We had a walk-through of all the details a few days before the wedding with Diana and dropped off everything they would need to decorate the space. Josh also took extra care to ensure everything would be just right for our reception and was protecting the space the night before as they were setting up. Knowing someone else was taking care of all the details and ensuring things kept moving while we enjoyed our special day meant a lot to us!
The only hiccup we encountered during our weekend was ensuring our guests received the hospitality bags we had put together for them upon check-in. It took several contacts with the front desk to ensure all of our guests staying at the DoubleTree received their hospitality bags.
We had our ceremony and reception here on June 8, 2019. A few weeks before our big day, the wedding coordinator (Ashley) we had been working with got another job. I was pretty concerned how things would go without her. But Kaitlyn stepped in along with Diana and everything went off perfectly. They responded quickly to my emails and were very patient when I made some last minute changes to the appetizers for cocktail hour. They made sure the ceremony space was set up with the aisle runner and rose petals and ensured all my centerpieces were placed correctly. They took care of the lighting during the ceremony and made sure we stayed on schedule for the whole day. I didn't have anything to worry about the entire time. Great job ladies. I really appreciate all you did for us!

DoubleTree is the only way to go with a wedding reception in Bloomington/Normal! Their event coordinators and staff took the stress and worry completely out of the picture. Ashley Walter was amazing from the first time we met her up until the reception. We also got the pleasure of working with Diana who was great to work with as well. Communication was never an issue and they were both willing to chat, email and text details up to the last minute! Everything I questioned or asked for was met and answered immediately. They knew exactly what they were doing and made life so much easier for me! If I had to do it all over again, I would pick DoubleTree every time!!

I just want to start by saying Ashley Walter is AMAZING! We are so happy we picked DoubleTree for our wedding reception. My husband and I were planning our wedding from Arizona. We flew back to Illinois to look at a few venues in the Bloomington/Normal area and were immediately impressed with the DoubleTree after meeting with Ashley for the first time. Ashley is AMAZING, super organized, prepared and responsive to all correspondence. When we met with her she provided us with a folder that included a packet of information including the packages they provide, food and drink options. Right off the bat she crunched numbers for us, so we knew exactly what we would be getting into. After meeting with Ashley we knew it was a no brainer that this was going to be our reception venue. Ashley advised me to give all of my vendors her contact information and she would schedule deliveries the day of the wedding for us, final numbers were requested only 4 days prior to the wedding and I met with her 3 days prior to the wedding to drop off our decorations for the staff to set up for us and everything looked perfect. The food at the reception was AMAZING! We had a plated meal served and I didn’t hear any complaints about cold food or it taking too long for our guests to receive their food. The next day we walked down and all of our decorations were boxed and ready for us to take home with us. Thank you so much Ashley and team for making our wedding reception and stay so memorable!

My husband and I hosted our ceremony and reception at the Double Tree and loved every minute of it. Ashley was great to work with and able to predict our needs and assist with last minute decorations. In addition, the rest of the staff was great making sure our reception went off without a hitch. We had over 200 people and the layout of their ballrooms and cocktail hour space along with the courtyard is the best in town. Several of our guests stayed at the hotel as well and we only heard nice things about it. Thankful for Ashley and the Double Tree team for helping make the day one we will never forget.

Kudos to DoubleTree and their Event Coordinator, Ashley Walter and their entire staff of professionals. Ashley is the best of the best! She was readily available, returned calls promptly if not and went above all expectations. Our daughter's reception was held here! The property is beautiful, the food delicious, the staff gracious and professional and lastly the s'mores bar was a huge hit for a late night treat.! Highly recommend this hotel! The rooms were beautifully updated recently for the overnight guests!

Ashley Walters was a godsend!! She made the process so easy and was quick to reply to emails (from my Mom as well).
She took the stress out of planning my reception. I was a little hesitant planning a reception as I wasn’t interested in planning my wedding but she completely eliminated any worries or concerns I had. She is able to customize for a simple wedding like ours but also willing to go the extra mile to perfect and add any details you’d want for your day.
DoubleTree offers a complimentary suite on the wedding night with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries! All the small details mattered and my husband and I felt very “taken care of” on our special day. Ashley made sure to check in with us through the night of.
We had so many compliments that the venue was great, food was great and all of our guests thanked us for such a wonderful time.
Weddings can be expensive too so it was wonderful that DoubleTree was upfront with prices and there were no hidden fees. You get more than what you pay for!!
Another perk, all decorations were cleaned up and cleared out of the reception ready for pick up the following day. So the day after was even relaxing!
Ashley and the rest of the staff at DoubleTree truly made it a remarkable night!!

The service we received from the beginning of the planning up to and including our daughter's wedding reception was exemplary! Ashely Walter and the catering staff are nothing short of amazing, taking care of every detail! You really don't need a wedding planner; they take care of everything and even things you hadn't thought of.
Ashley verified with each vendor several days prior to the event to be sure everything went seamlessly. She is a gem with outstanding attention to detail and exceptional customer service; I hope the Doubletree realizes it! We have had receptions at other hotels in B/N that don't hold a candle to the Doubletree Catering/Event planning staff. If you are considering another venue, stop, the Doubletree is simply the best! Highly recommend!

My husband and I can’t express how amazing our wedding was at the Doubletree!! Working with Ashley and the hotel staff made everything go smoothly and very stress free!! We held our ceremony outside and it was beautiful and the reception was just as amazing!! They were all super easy to work with and Ashley was available every step of the way!! Highly recommend them for any events!

This really was the best place to have our reception! We hosted 180 people with a DJ & photo booth, cupcakes on every table and some fun tables of games outside. I would say over 60% of our guests stayed at the hotel. Ashley did such a wonderful job helping us through the weekend. There was a small snafu with the room, but the staff made everything right and took care of any concerns I had immediately. I can't say enough good things about this place. There were clearly a lot of guests at the hotel that weekend (between our event and several other events) and the staff worked so hard to make sure all our requests were met. I love love love this place.
Ashley is amazing to work with. The staff was wonderfully attentive during the entire process, everything went smoothly, and it looked beautiful. We could not have been more pleased with our wedding day!!

We couldn't have picked a better location for our ceremony and reception! Ashley Walter (the event manager) is absolutely incredible! We had a pretty complicated Indian wedding and she made us feel so comfortable and was so helpful to our many requests and changes. Everything went perfect at my wedding at the DoubleTree! Ashley Walter, the event planner, is amazing and super helpful. She answered every question I had and even was okay with my future mother-in law and I stopping in occasionally (okay like 4 times) to creep on other wedding they were hosting for ideas. I highly recommend this hotel from head to toe. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all at the hotel. Our quests loved that!

We were VERY pleased with our venue pick for our big date! The DoubleTree was ON IT. We are so happy we chose DoubleTree for our reception! Our day was perfect in every way. Ashley was wonderful to work with. Promptly responded to all emails, even when multiple family members were reaching out, and was so accommodating to all our needs. She was in contact almost every day the week of the wedding to make sure nothing else was needed. Day of she handled all set up and everything looked exactly as planned. Tons of food options and multiple packages depending what you want to spend. Guests loved not having to drive/shuttle anywhere at the end of the night. Couldn't have asked for a better venue!

I honestly could not have asked for a better wedding venue. Ashley (Wedding and Special Events Sales Manager) was absolutely awesome. She made sure that our day went so smoothly. All of our guests were impressed at how nice the venue was and even more impressed that they didn't have to leave the venue at all, even our rehearsal dinner was at the DoubleTree. Both of our families had to travel to get to Bloomington and Ashley made sure that everyone that needed a hotel room got one. The Presidential Suite was perfect for all of us ladies to get ready in, very spacious! The food was great, the staff was great, and the space was great! I cannot say enough great things about the DoubleTree or about Ashley and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a wedding venue in Bloomington, IL!

You never know exactly how something will turn out when every detail is jotted down on a piece of paper. But Ashley Walter and her banquet staff at the Double Tree are some of the best. She took every single note and brought it to life with all of our decorations. The reception looked absolutely beautiful and everyone we talked to from the staff only had our interests in mind. They treated us so great and everything couldn't have gone better!
Absolutely amazing venue! We had our wedding and reception booked at another venue but after having a meeting with Ashley we cancelled it all and switched it to here! Amazing to work with and had a stress free wedding thanks to the staff. I would recommend this venue to everyone I know!
We are so happy with our choice to have our reception at the doubletree! From the very beginning they had an answer to EVERYTHING! I can't imagine planning my reception without Ashley Walter helping me every step of the way. Of course hotels can be a little pricier but it is worth every single extra dollar to have your reception at the doubletree! I don't even know where to begin, they made Adam and I feel so special and helped us plan our dream reception.

DoubleTree did a phenomenal job with our wedding reception! Ashley Walter was so great working with us during planning and completely took care of set-up and making sure everything went smoothly during the reception! The staff did a great job of getting everyone served quickly and we had so many guests comment how much they enjoyed the food. The thing that I loved most was how hands-off I was able to be and able to simply enjoy my reception, because I knew that everything was being managed and executed so well! I would definitely recommend the DoubleTree.

I selected the DoubleTree by Hilton Bloomington for our wedding reception, and it was a great experience! We loved everything from the food, to the staff and everything between. We also had a block of rooms for our guests. Everyone who attended had a great time and we got a lot of compliments. The food was delicious and we were able to customize our menu choices. They also work really well with local vendors. This was out first and only choice in town. I would highly recommend this hotel for any kind of special event! The wedding coordinator, Ashley is quick to respond to questions and has a great attention to details.
We searched all over the Bloomington-Normal area for a great place to have a reception at a decent price.. We found others, but NONE that included as much as the DoubleTree! We felt that this was the best location for what we'd be spending and it was nice that everything was in one place. Ashley, the event coordinator, did an AMAZING job working with our other vendors and with my sister who had some pretty crazy decor ideas :) She was wonderful to work there. My husband and I are already thinking about having a 10 year anniversary party there because we had such a great time at our wedding at the DoubleTree.
DoubleTree is a wonderful place to hold your wedding reception! Think about it, your guests are enjoying themselves and most likely drinking, why wouldn't you have your reception at a hotel?! No shuttles needed at the end of the night for guests! Also working with Kaitlyn, the wedding coordinator was SOO easy. I know that she has moved on to a new position, but DoubleTree does an amazing job setting up your tables and decorating the room to be exactly what you imagined! The food is delicious! I would recommend that if you choose DoubleTree you also choose Absolute Light and Sound, they work together a lot and everything went very smoothly throughout the night. Thank you DoubleTree for helping to make our reception a HUGE hit!
