It was just a really messy experience. When we first picked the place the guy that was our wedding coordinator got fired a few months later. I only found out when i emailed him asking his opinions on DJ's. His replacement was wonderful and I really liked her. I think that she did a great job with her part, i just wish i would have found out a different way about the changes. Besides her everything else was a disaster. I had family coming in from out of town and they kept checking my 85 year old grandpa out of his handicapped suite. Anytime I had a question no one ever seemed to be able to help me. I would have to make multiple phone calls, e-mails, or just show up there to get questions answered. It just seemed like nobody really knew what to do. The day after my wedding i asked them to bring me a luggage cart and they told me i could come get it myself. They just weren't very helpful but i'm still happy i got to marry my love.

Wow! I cannot say enough to say thank you to the staff of this hotel and event center. My wedding was one of the many affected by the recent floods and long story short we needed to change venues with about 48 hours notice. Carla and her event staff were so sweet, patient and accommodating. Having my wedding in a hotel ballroom was definitely never a part of my vision but The Castle space has massive ceilings, a lovely bridal suite, plenty of space for dinner & dancing and even hanging paper lanterns (not sure if those will stay but they were great for our purposes!). We went from having an outdoor farm wedding to an indoor hotel ballroom but so many of the guests said that if they hadn't known the venue changed, they would have just thought we planned it there all along! The hotel staff were able to block out rooms for guests so they could switch from their flooded hotels in Boulder and even booked my groom and I a bridal suite. The rooms were clean, spacious and had the most comfortable bedding I have ever experienced at a hotel! We did have a little trouble with the sound system in the event space, but I'm sure they have it fixed by now. Also, the breakfast buffet was delicious! Thank you DoubleTree!!!

Although the hotel was newly opened, the wedding went beautifully. Our catering captain, Carla was excellent and very attentive. Alot of value for the price and the hotel is nicely furnished
