From start to finish our experience could not have been better! Kimberly and team truly made the planning leading up to and on wedding day all we had hoped for.
Kimberly is organized and truly prides herself on making the day just what you want it to be. She had great suggestions and was also very flexible when we needed. Communication was timely and accurate. Kimberly was with us through all the planning, set-up, and day of. We reserved the Murphy Suite which was a perfect space for the bridal party to use on the day (we had the adjoining room as well which made it even better!) Signage on the day of made it easy for our guests to find their way to the Park Ballroom. Parking convenient. Food was great. The service was amazing. Everyone was so attentive and kind. The location is walkable to west end for pictures (Karen Feder Photography is amazing!!) and there is a little pond on the property which was also a great backdrop. The Atrium area is full of plants and made it a nice spot for indoor photos. Park Ballroom was perfect to hold both ceremony and reception. There is a smaller room (Orchard) right off the ballroom that we used for the wedding party which was very convenient. The event team has longevity in the field and truly know what they are doing. We received many compliments on how great the service was throughout the evening. At the end of the night, the team helped package up our decorations and even cooked up a little meal for the bridal couple to take back to their room. We would highly recommend this venue!

My husband and I had our wedding reception at DoubleTree in December. The planning leading up to the wedding was stress-free and DeAnna was amazing and very willing to work with us. Due to weather there were a lot of last-minute changes, but they handled them and even went out of their way to insure it was a perfect day! It was a very fun reception and it went very smoothly. The ballroom was beautifully set up and the food is amazing! I would definitely recommend them to other couples who are planning their own wedding!

My husband and I just got married at the DoubleTree and it was an amazing experience! De Anna and the whole staff made everything so easy, especially on the day of our wedding they handled everything for us, decorating- you name it. They took care of all of it so that we could relax and have a perfect day! We had both the ceremony and reception there and both rooms were so beautiful! It was also extremely affordable and especially perfect for a young couple like us! If you’re looking for a beautiful, affordable, stress free (or as much as it can be) wedding with an amazing staff then we would highly recommend checking out the DoubleTree!! :)

Best.day.ever.
The moment we met with De Anna for a tour of the venue, we knew it would be an incredible experience. We chose to have our ceremony and reception at the DoubleTree and were so impressed with both (250 guests, Park Ballroom). The staff was able to respectfully accomodate all of our requests, no matter how outside the box, which made our day unique to us and so special for our guests. De Anna was extremely punctual and always responded to our questions within a matter of days - and we had many, many questions!
The staff was able to quickly flip our space from a romantic ceremony to a large reception hall with plenty of room to dance and celebrate! While they were busy transforming the room, we were visiting with our guests in the Atrium during cocktail hour where we had our musician playing soft music in the background.
The reception was everything we dreamed of! From the delicious food (everyone talked about how good it was), to the double bar and friendly bartenders, to the large dance floor where we witnessed our friends busting some crazy moves!
Honestly, I could go on for hours about our experience. If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and choose DoubleTree by Hilton - Park Place. You will not regret it and they will help make your day the best one ever!

To sum it up, the hotel was a great venue, parking was easy, the hotel staff friendly and professional, quick to give out warm cookies, the event staff efficient, the food and drink was delicious. That said, De Anna is the reason our wedding was seamless. She is completely involved in all aspects of planning. De Anna is incredibly competent, organized and absolutely approachable. She responds promptly. Whether it's her staff, our guests, or a random stranger, she gave them her undivided attention.

The hotel is great, it’s a great location, and our guests liked it. However, we were unclear about breakfast, believing it was complimentary (it was not). It was far too expensive for the quality. We booked the shuttle, but did not meet the minimum number of bookings to have it free. As our wedding grew near, we realized the hotel did not give all of our guests the wedding rate nor were they in our list of guests there. We had to do a lot of backtracking to find them all. The cut-off was 3 weeks before the wedding, which was very far out, so some people hadn’t booked by then. I was able to get them the rate, but it was difficult to track everyone down. It would have been nice to have more time for everyone to book a room as not everyone thinks that far in advance. On the other side, the representatives I worked with throughout the process were wonderful. I would recommend them, but look carefully at the contract and be on top of your guests to book in time and keep track of who is booking so you can verify the hotel’s list.

The DoubleTree was amazing to work with when we held our reception there. They were extremely budget-friendly and they were super flexible. Unlike most of the venues we visited (where it was $XX/plate, with no room to change what was offered in the package), the DoubleTree coordinators worked with us to allow us to choose what we wanted. No need to have an additional wine pour with dinner or a champagne toast - they really allow you to choose what is important to you. There was a coordinator change halfway through planning our wedding (from Brooke to Jackie), but I never felt like my details got missed, or that I was forgotten. Jackie and Angie were polite, professional, and on top of their stuff! On the actual wedding day, the entire DoubleTree staff could not have been more attentive or helpful. We used the hotel shuttle to transport me and my bridesmaids to the church, and our driver helped us load and unload everything we needed. At the actual reception, the food was hot and delicious, and service impeccable. All of our guests' allergies were accommodated, and my husband and I even had a personal waiter who very kindly packed up my dinner for me to eat later because I was too excited to eat. The hotel offered a very competitive rate for our hotel block, and I didn't hear anything but good things from guests (the hotel was recently redone, and everything looks great!), who were also very pleased to have such a great location with West End across the street. Our reception was flawlessly executed, and the planning was a breeze - thank you, DoubleTree!

My husband and I chose the DoubleTree as a venue for our September 30th wedding! Words cannot describe how impressed we were with the whole process. Jackie, the Catering Sales Manager, was AMAZING--very easy to work with and a great communicator. She put me at ease throughout the planning process. From the final result of the decorated Park Ballroom, to the food, to the staff, there was not a single thing that we were displeased with. I would highly recommend this venue for those getting married in the future.

We are so happy with our choice of having our wedding reception at the Double Tree, the Park Ballroom is beautiful- we hardly added extra decorations! Everything turned out just as we pictured and both my husband and I are still getting complements on our venue, the food, and the overall reception! Jackie K (sales/catering/coordinator) was awesome! She is so upbeat and down to earth, she offers to set up our reception hall and did a fantastic job! That really helped take some weight of our shoulders.

We didn't have our wedding here, but it was where we set up our hotel block. The coordinators were great, there were several we worked with or met with in person and everyone was helpful and responsive. The hotel gave us an awesome rate and it's located close to lots of food / entertainment options so it was convenient for our guests. The big selling point was that our venue was within their shuttle radius and because we had enough guests book we were able to get free shuttle service to and from the venue for hotel guests.

My husband and I just got married this past Saturday (10/8/16) and we are just so AMAZED at how perfect our day was. We held our cocktail hour and reception at the Doubletree along with our Sunday breakfast. We also had our room block here and basically just spent the whole weekend at the hotel. Brooke was so fun and easy to work with through the entire process. I made a decent amount of last minute changes and she was accommodating to each one...PLUS she set everything up for me at the reception that I dropped off early in the week and also items we brought from the ceremony. The staff took on WAY more than I was expecting. The ballroom looked GORGEOUS and the food was delicious (from what I heard from guests - I barely had time to eat).
Breakfast the next day in the lower atrium area was the perfect way to end the weekend with family as well. The food was delicious and the service was amazing.
I am just blown away by the whole experience. I definitely recommend this place for your wedding or even just for an event. It is very spacious and the service is AMAZING!

We loved our reception at the DT Park Place's Orchard Ballroom! My husband and I both have family out of town, and the team here made it simple to not only make a wedding block, but extend it several times to accommodate all our guests requesting a room. About halfway through our engagement, there was a new Catering Director. I was nervous about working with someone new, but Brooke was amazing to have as a new contact. She responded to emails immediately, answered all questions in detail and went above and beyond to reach out to all our vendors to make the day go smoothly. We got many compliments from guests about how great the food was- not your typical "banquet food" here! One other selling point for us with this venue is the flexibility- no preset packages for food and drinks. We could choose how many appetizers we wanted, and went with hosted kegs and bottles of wine vs having to do a hosted bar for Xhours or pay $X/per person. TMy husband and I both do not like cake, and we were able to order caramel apple crisp from an outside vendor without a cake cutting fee. Rare to find that level of flexibility with hotel venues!
I would highly recommend this venue to a couple looking for a very kind, experienced team that goes above and beyond to help make their day go smoothly! The ballrooms are gorgeous and the whole team works hard make sure you feel happy with how everything turns out. There are so many tricky decisions to decide in a reception venue and lodging options, but this place makes it so easy!! Thank you for everything!!

I cannot recommend having your reception here enough. Brooke was by far the sweetest person I encountered through the planning process. No bride thinks she will have any bridezilla moments, but trust me, you will. Brooke handled my bridezilla moments with ease and calmed me down instantly. She was so helpful and answered all of my questions within a couple of hours, even on her days off. She truly cares about you and your day and makes sure that everything goes as planned. The venue is gorgeous and it's super convenient to have your guests stay at the hotel. I hope my friends get married here so I can go back!

My daughter was recently married in Minneapolis and we had the reception and a post wedding brunch and gift opening at the Park Place Double Tree. People found the guest rooms comfortable and the hotel layout friendly. Our guests raved about the food (the chicken and walleye at the buffet tasting was dry, but we had plated servings and my chicken was moist and delicous and people loved their walleye and braised ribs. I was very happy with the service all around. We worked with Brooke Beise. She was very responsive to my questions and helped keep this mother of the bride's stress level down. Two thumbs up!

We couldn't have been happier with our choice to go with the DoubleTree for our reception venue. Due to some staffing changes we worked with a few different people throughout the process but each were highly qualified and did a great job working with us to make our day perfect. It was a wonderful feeling to drop off everything for the reception and know that it would all be taken care of for us. We had lots of compliments from our guests about how great the staff was from the check in to the checkout process and everything in between. We had a ton of compliments on the food and just the overall flow of the night. The next day they had everything packed up and ready for us to take home. For us, this reduced a lot of stress and took off expectations of our families to help decorate and make sure the night moved along accordingly. They did a great job coordinating with our vendors and everything flowed seamlessly. If given the chance to do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the DoubleTree-Park Place. Our experience working with Katelyn (Catering Sales Manager) was amazing and we are so blessed to have had her managing what turned out to be a beautiful reception. I recommend that couples attend the wedding fair organized by Katelyn prior to your wedding. It's a great opportunity to see how the ballroom could look for your reception and you get to chat with various vendors. Overall, we're happy with our experience and would recommend this location to anyone planning a wedding.

We chose Hilton DoubleTree - Park Place after reading some of the positive reviews from The Knot. After we met with Katelyn, the wedding coordinator, we really were convinced that this was the place for us. Katelyn was wonderful to work with. Very accommodating and really informative about things we didn't even know we needed to think about. She was also super responsive to all of my random and frequent emails as we got closer to our wedding date.
We had our reception in the larger ballroom, and it was beautiful. They allowed us to bring in cafe lighting and have them strung across the room rather than using tulle draping. We loved it. Also, we chose chicken and pork plated meals, and they were delicious. We heard many compliments from our guests about the main dishes and the cocktail hour appetizers ahead of the meal.
We wouldn't have changed a thing!

We absolutely loved working with the staff at DoubleTree Park Place in West End!
Katelyn was wonderful from day one. She walked through the process with us and was so helpful in making our wedding day perfect! Katelyn and her staff worked with ALL of our vendors to make the night run smoothly and without a hitch. Simply could not have asked for a better place to celebrate our big day:)
I would recommend this venue to any Bride and Groom planning their wedding who wants a top of the line but affordable reception venue!

Obviously my wife and I wanted the perfect wedding reception, unfortunately we ran into a small snag... With my large family and our limited budget, we were left thinking, we would have to make many sacrifices and compromises. Luckily we were able to find the DoubleTree St. Louis Park. The combination of the size of the venue, the wonderful staff, and the affordability of the venue made our choice very easy.
In my opinion, the best thing about the DoubleTree is their flexibility and options. Our vision was to have a wedding reception that would look nice but maintain a casual atmosphere. This was easily accomplished with the variety of decorative options provided to us. In addition, we had a few abnormal request, which were were accepted with a smile, and executed to perfection.
Seeing as this is where I usually loose interest in reviews:
-The food tasted the same as it did the night of the taste testing - Delicious!!!
-There is plenty food options available
-The bar options are affordable and flexible
-The room blocks and rates are great for scale of the hotel
-The staff is WONDERFUL!

My wedding reception was held at the DoubleTree Park Place and I couldn't have been more satisfied with my decision! If you're looking for a beautiful venue in the west metro, there's no other place that meets luxury and budget. We had approximately 230 guests, so we were in the Park Ballroom. Katelyn was wonderful to work with and made the process from booking to the final check very simple. The service staff the day of our wedding were also very helpful. Although we started to run low on kegs early in the night, they made sure to have extras on hand so we didn't run out. The room decor and food exceeded my expectations and we received lots of complements from our guests who also agreed. A few guests even said that this venue had the best wedding food they've eaten! Make sure to attend the Wedding Extravaganza so you can try out all the food and see their different decor options! Plus, there is no charge for the event which isn't the case at a lot of venues. Another great thing about the DoubleTree Park Place is their relationship with other vendors. Katelyn was fantastic about working with our floral vendor to get the tables set up the day of and the staff that evening packed everything up for the vendor to pick up the next day. This was a huge weight lifted off our shoulders.
Even with other events going on at the hotel that weekend, they did a great job of making sure that wedding guests were able to book rooms - they also added to our block to accommodate guests after the room number on our contract had been filled. With many of our guests coming from out of town, it was great that the hotel was easy to get to and has plenty of (free) parking.
I could go on and on about our experience with the DoubleTree, but bottom line - If you want a beautiful venue with fantastic food (and at a reasonable price) for your special day, this venue and its staff will meet all of your needs.

Katelyn was excellent from the beginning. When we first met Katelyn, she was so excited about showing us around and answering all of our questions, we knew right away that was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. She gave us a very detailed book to look over with all different options. Throughout our planning process, she met with us several times, her email responses were quick and informative and she helped us create a timeline for our evening. In February, she hosted an evening for couples who had booked their wedding reception at the DoubleTree for taste testing. Every item on their dinner menu was offered on the largest buffet I have ever seen. We were also given a book to take notes as we tried different food and wine. The room was set up as it would for a wedding, with different options of linens and settings at every table. Katelyn went out on maternity leave the week before our wedding. We were nervous at first but she had all the bases covered before she left. All throughout, she was conscious of our budget and offered suggestions to help us stay within our budget. The day of our wedding was perfect. We had plenty of food at the cocktail reception and one of the employees took us up to see the ballroom all ready before guests entered. The room looked better than we had envisioned. The service and food was phenomenal. The servers kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis - Park Place for your wedding.

The day of the wedding was fantastic, the staff does everything they can to make it easy on the newly married couple. They take care of the little things so you don't need to worry about them!

My husband and I were thrilled with our experience at the Doubletree. Katelynn was very helpful in our planning process to make sure we had everything we needed! The day of our Wedding, 7.31.15, the banquet staff were quick to get our delicious food out to all of our guests and were very polite. All of our decorations were set up for us so we didn't need to spend extra time with the set up. We had our reception in the Park Ballroom and it fit our 200 guests perfectly! We didn't have any tables on the dance floor that needed moving and plenty of room for high top tables and the bar! We definitely recommend the Doubletree for Wedding receptions and look forward to our stay next year on our Anniversary!

The DoubleTree was a perfect place for our reception. The catering sales managers handled everything from the decorations, set up/tear down, food/drinks, itinerary for the night, etc.
Starting with the decorations- there were a couple options that were provided by the hotel which was a big relief.
Set up/Tear down was a burden with my sisters wedding because it took up the whole day before and immediately following the reception so I was glad that the DoubleTree did all the work and I didn't even have to think about it.
The food was amazing. We did a plated service where we picked the ceasar salad and then our entrees were rosemary chicken, top serloin, lasagna, and kids meals. We ordered our cake/cupcakes from byerlys. Then we had sliders for a late night snack.
In the drinks aspect, there were many options to choose from such as cash bar, hosted bar, a tab to a dollar amount, drink tickets, and combos of each. It really just depended on what we wanted so we went with hosted sodas for the night, 3 kegs with 1 on reserve (for 200 guests we finished the 4th keg around midnight), a 700 dollar tab for the bridal party/parents (17 people)
As far as itinerary, Sarah (interm catering sales manager)laid out a timeline of when to make our grand enterance, cut the cake, sit down to eat, first dances, etc. Everything went so smoothly.
Couple of words of advice for brides. We used the shuttle provided by the hotel (free to use if room block had a certain amount of rooms booked) for the ladies to go to the hair appointment the day of, to transport the guys and ladies to the ceremony site. This was extremely helpful since we had a limo picking up the bridal party at the ceremony site.
Also, my mom and sister made arrival bags for our guests and the staff was very willing to hand them out when guests checked into the hotel.
Parents complimentary room for the wedding night was a perk!
Definitly go to the tasting that the DoubleTree hosts, it was a great night for us and we learned a lot about what we did and did not want.

After looking at several hotel options, we decided to book our October wedding reception at the DoubleTree. We were really drawn to the location as it is conveniently located and gave out-of-town guests quick access to downtown and the West End area. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and took the time to make sure each detail was covered. We were able to communicate really well via email after our sit down meeting and by the week of the wedding, there were very minimal changes. On the night of the event the room looked great. Our guests had plenty of space to dance the night away. Event staff made sure our expectations were being met and everything was handled. The food was average for a hotel venue. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend the DoubleTree for anyone planning a wedding.

We are so glad that we booked our Reception with DoubleTree Park Place. They helped us every step of the way. No detail was too small and every question was met with kindness and thoughtfulness. Everyone from the Reception to the Hotel were wonderful! We had such a wonderful experience in the planning stages that we choose DoubleTree Park Place for our Bachelorette and Bachelor Party accommodations. We also enjoyed having our grooms dinner overlooking the pool. With over 40 rooms booked for the night of the wedding, We enjoyed having our family close and did not use any other hotels for our wedding block. All of our guests commented on what a wonderful place to stay and have a reception! Thank you DoubleTree Park Place for making our wedding a night we will never forget!!

We were very happy with our choice to use the DoubleTree Park Place for our Wedding Reception (August 2015). Katelyn was one of the reasons we booked the venue and when she went out on maternity leave, we were bummed. However, Sarah stepped in to take Katelyn's spot and was absolutely amazing. We honestly didn't have to worry about a thing - she helped me with multiple, multiple questions (easily by email or by phone if I preferred) and took my loads of decorations a few days prior. The days before our wedding I thought I would be so stressed - but I wasn't, because I could get everything to the hotel the Tuesday before and could relax the days leading up to the wedding. The reception room was all set-up (and they tore down - so nice) so that we got a sneak peek before our guests were ushered in from the Cocktail Reception. Sarah did a great job of adding extra details to make the room look great. Overall, highly recommend - great value, super easy for guests from out of town, really easy for bride/groom/family for planning!

I wanted take a minute and let you know what a wonderful wedding (Twiford/Robinson) we had at your hotel on Saturday June 27the. In Fact it was such a success, I hadn’t been able to find the words until I was completely de-compressed 4 weeks later!
We began working with Katelyn in March of 2014 in the planning of this event. She was with my daughter every inch of the planning all the way up to guiding the party at the ceremony while 9 months pregnant! We cannot begin to thank Katelyn for her support and guidance. She is a true gem.
The catering of the event with Angie’s staff was top notch. All of the food was wonderful and in particular the beef filet was commented upon by every guest that evening as being excellent and unexpected! Your servers and bartenders were gracious and very attentive. I never had a single issue.
The entire staff of your hotel throughout the event were attentive to our needs. The front desk in particular were able to take our early check-in requests with grace and probably little thanks for their efforts. It was very appreciated! The room staff were attentive. At one point I asked one of the house maids for 2 extra glasses for the room. There were 2 extra clean glasses every day. It’s those little things guest remember and from my experience your staff excels.

On June 27, 2015 we booked Shannon and Andy's wedding with Katelyn Keyes at the Doubletree. The service with the catering manager and staff was outstanding! The venue was beautiful the entrees were delicious. It was a perfect memory put on by Doubletree for our family, a day we will never forget!

The doubletree was an amazing place for our wedding ceremony and reception! Katelyn made everything so easy and not stressful. Everyone who helped on our wedding day from the double tree was extremely helpful and attentive and we loved every minute of it! Not to mention the food is phenomenal! I highly recommend the doubletree park place as your wedding venue!

AMAZING!! We could not have asked for a better venue to hold our wedding. From start to finish, Katelyn was fabulous, she walked us through everything in detail and helped us make sure our dream wedding came to life. We could not have done it without her and the DoubleTree Park Place team. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception were all beautifully set up and our guests' loved all the details and ease of everything being in one location. We would do the whole day over again, in a heartbeat!! Thank you to Katelyn for making our wedding day, a day we will remember for the rest of our lives!

We got married Oct 11th, 2014. Like most brides I had been dreaming about the perfect wedding... And for me it was a fairytale wedding I had been dreaming of. We worked with Katelyn Keyes and she was perfect. Our first meeting with her was when we were still looking for a reception site but after meeting with her, our mind was instantly made up. She worked with us throughout the whole process and made sure we were both on the same page. She worked with our budget and was not pushy at all about adding extra things like some people can be. She helped us put our fairytale wedding together and made sure everything went smoothly and as least stressful as possible. She was professional but also very personable. When we finally walked into our reception that night everything was better than we imagined. Our set up was beautiful, our food was delicious and the service was exceptional. We had heard that the Doubletree hosted great weddings, but we didn't fully understand how happy we would be until that night. I would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a reasonably priced reception site with great staff.

Overall experience with our Event Planner Katelyn Keyes at Double Tree Hilton was amazing and performed her job at a high level of knowledge and expertise. She walked us through everything down to the last minute of the reception. Communication between us and the hotel staff was handled promptly and with professionalism. Cocktail and Dinner reception was carried out with no issues and was absolutely beautiful! It was an evening of great fun and many memories. I had my wedding reception here 29 years ago and remember it well. I know my daughter and her husband will remember this experience for many years to come.

The DoubleTree – Park Place is an amazing venue. We had our cocktail hour in the Lower Atrium and the reception was in the Park Ballroom for about 160 guests. Katelyn Keyes, the Catering Sales Manager, was super friendly and always got back to me with an answer. I felt very comfortable that she wouldn’t leave out any of the details and everything went smoothly. We received a lot of compliments from our guests about the food and wine. The location was great, just across the street from the West End where they had additional bars and entertainment. We would highly recommend the DoubleTree- Park Place to couples looking for a great place to hold their reception!

Katelyn Keyes and her team are truly the best! Katelyn definitely made the wedding planning process stress free and smooth sailing! I am so blessed to have had her as a wedding planner and pulling off our special day. Everything was beautiful and we received so many compliments on our wedding and it was all because Katelyn put everything together perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding planner, she knows what she is doing! I would definitely recommend her to anyone in need of a wedding planner, and if I had to rate her from 1 to 10...it would be a 20! Whenever we needed something or had a question, she always was responsive and quick! She was always professional and even recommend some great vendors to us! I was truly amazed by that because how many wedding planners can actually bring the vendors to you to sell their services. She understood our vision and it turned out beautifully! Thank you so much again and I would highly recommend her to any engaged couple!

After comparing many different venues, we decided to book our daughter's wedding reception at the Doubletree by Hilton Minneapolis. Katelyn, the Catering Manager, was extremely helpful in assisting us in selecting the perfect room/package to accommodate a smaller reception (60 people). We appreciated that the hotel was conveniently located right across from The West End - an upscale mall with shopping, restaurants and bars. We received a special block rate for the hotel rooms, where many of us stayed, which made it convenient to coordinate meals and activities. At the reception, the room was beautifully decorated - the tables were elegant, the buffet items we selected were deliciously prepared, and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. The reception included dancing, which made for a very fun evening. We highly recommend this venue.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the same room at the DoubleTree.
Katelyn did a great job of working with us. She worked with all of our vendors (photo booth, linens, DJ, cupcakes), got everything lined up, thought of everything. Incredibly helpful, professional, calming. Lots of ideas.
The food was very well received -- tasty, not crazy-expensive. Service was prompt. They did a good job of balancing "what we wanted" vs "what they could do".
Doing the entire evening in the hotel made so many things easy -- a place to "keep your stuff"/"home base" before the wedding, an easy walk back to the room at the end of the evening, and a great way to deal with the out-of-town (and even some in-town!) guests.
Overall they put on a very professional show and were key parts in making our wedding a success.

Having my wedding at the Doubletree made my wedding absolutely perfect! Katelyn was a delight to work with. She was very accommodating, kind, responsive and helpful. She gave helpful input when needed. They did an amazing job setting up all of our decor. We didn't need to worry about anything the day of our wedding. They did a fabulous job setting everything up and making sure it was perfect. The preparation was fairly simple as well. We just needed to communicate what our needs/ visions were.
They were very great and my wedding was gorgeous. The space is clean and spacious. The food is delicious. Everything they did was perfect. I would recommend to anyone thinking about where to have their wedding reception- to do it at the Doubletree Park Place.

Just had my daughter's wedding reception at the DoubleTree Park Place. We initlally chose this venue because of the location & proximity to West End & downtown, as well as the easy route from ceremony (Woods Chapel). We looked at a other places as a venue, but chose DoubleTree because of the flexibility they provided us.
The Doubletree Event planner, Katelyn Keyes, was amazing. She gave us many options to choose from & we never felt like she was pushing us in additional costs. No matter how many questions we had (& we had a lot throughout the months leading to wedding), she was always very prompt to respond & give us any info or suggestions we needed. Very much a "can-do" attitude. She made sure the evening was off to a great start the night of the reception & checked in with us to see all was going well before leaving as dinner was served.
A nice bonus - the comped rooms the night of the wedding for the bridal suite, & BOTH sets of parents. Drink vouchers the night before the wedding were also appreciated. If there is a tasting offered, be sure to take advantage of it. Will help make decisions as to appetizers & meals. Another big plus is that we were allowed to bring in our own wine, with a reasonable corkage fee. Everything went smoothly with the vendors & the timetable Katelyn had worked out for the night also worked well.
And those Hilton Honors points are sure to come in handy!
All in all, would highly recommend DoubleTree Park Place.

I recently had my social hour and wedding reception at the DoubleTree Park Place - it was AMAZING! The space is very accomodating, the service is fantastic, food was yummy and planning was a breeze. Kaitlyn is especially fun to work with, her calm presence and attitude leading up to and the day of my wedding made me feel very comfortable with everything. I'd highly recommend hosting your wedding here!

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Minneapolis-Park Place was ABSOLUTELY phenomenal! Katelyn Keyes is by far the best catering sales manager ever, she was attentive to everything, helped me out when I had no idea what I was doing, and made my big day unforgettable. The event staff was also extremely amazing, they decorated the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception EXACTLY how I wanted it and it looked amazing beyond belief. I do not have one terrible thing to say about this place because they truly care about your day and they want it to be one you will never forget, down to the decor, food, EVERYTHING, you literally get 5 star service all around for a pretty affordable cost as well (affordable for a wedding at least). Thank you so much Doubletree Park Place for everything you did, I couldn't have asked for anything better!!!

My husband and I were married here on Valentine's Day of 2009. What a wonderful night it was! Everything was put together exactly as I had wanted and instructed. The staff was great to work with and always answered any questions that I had in a timely manner. My review is very late as I did not think to write one before. However after recently attending a wedding (Ceremony AND Reception), there last month, I was impressed to see that the quality and service was exactly how I had remembered it - Excellent! I would highly recommend hosting any event here. My only regret was that I did not have my ceremony there as well. There's always vow renewals though! :)

Wow! I was so amazed with the job the Doubletree did for our wedding! Our Doubletree consultant, Katelyn Keyes, was so impressive. She answered every phone call or email within the hour and was extremely detailed and helpful. Her organization, friendliness and calm demeanor made wedding planning with her such a joyful experience! She helped us plan everything perfectly. I wasn't sure who would be able to help us set up the cocktail hour items and the reception items, but the Doubletree Staff offered to do it all! They set up everything exactly as I imagined! When I walked into the Park Place ballroom, I almost cried! Everything was so beautiful, exactly as I had imagined it, and my friends and family did not have to do anything to set it up!
The food was delicious, we received many comments on that! The Doubletree staff served the wedding guests so well, the service and timeliness was fantastic. We weren't able to make the group tasting, so Katelyn kindly set up an individual tasting for my family so that we could decide on our choices. She even set up other meetings after that with us so that we could go over details and finalize all of our information, so that we wouldn't deal with stress on the day of the wedding. Whenever I had a question about who would handle something, Katelyn promptly responded, 'We can do it!" And they sure did! They handled every little detail, perfectly.
I can't say enough about how helpful and wonderful the Doubletree was, responsive to all of our needs! It was definitely one of the more affordable options, but that did not take away from the ballroom's beauty or the staff's work. I would say this is the hidden gem of Minneapolis!
Our guests loved the location, several spent the weekend shopping in the West End area, and exploring the restaurants. After the wedding, guests were able to walk to nearby bars, so no one had to drive.
I wouldn't change a thing about my wedding or reception, thanks to Katelyn Keyes!

Our wedding at the DoubleTree was this past August. And everything was absolutely perfect!
From the very beginning the Event Manager Chris was great with answering my questions, allowing us to stop by to show our parents. When it was time for us to book the hotel, we found out Chris resigned and Katelyn was the new Event Coordinator.
I was a little nervous at first, but immediately after meeting Katelyn I knew things were going to run smoothly. She was great at responding to all my emails, usually in the next few days, and extremely confident in her staff and hotel. She was incredibly flexible with dates to meet up to discuss the details and gave us numerous recommendations and tips on how to make the evening run smoothly, which was so helpful. I wanted to get some up-lighting to decorate the breaking the bank. Katelyn allowed us to go through an outside company which worked better for our budget, even though they offered the lighting through the hotel. I am so thankful she allowed us to do that, because I feel the lighting really set the mood and everything was kept within budget. All of the event staff and Tammy and Apple were spectacular! We went in Friday the night before the wedding to set up a single table with the idea of how we wanted things to look and they said they could recreate it. And oh did Tammy and Apple recreated and more - from the folding of the napkins to the cake and escort tables - the ballroom looked fantastic! I got so many compliments on how great everything looked.
Even the day after the wedding, I relied on Tammy so much to track down all the supplies that I needed to return to vendors. They were able to hold a lot of the supplies for another day, due to the lack of space in our cars. Everything ran SO smoothly the day of the wedding. If I were to get married again (let’s hope not, since they are a ton of work) I would love work with the staff at the DoubleTree Park Place again Everything looked like how I imagined it would and ran perfectly from beginning to the end. I highly recommend the DoubleTree and the staff, if you want a great wedding!!!

We had a wonderful experience with the Double Tree in St. Louis Park, MN for our daughter's wedding in August. The customer service was wonderful from our first meeting to the day after the wedding. Kaetlyn Keyes was the catering sales manager and she did an amazing job with all the arrangements. All of the staff were very professional and helpful,the food was terrific and our guests were well taken care of. The facility is beautifully maintained from the ball room to the guest rooms and we can't thank them enough for making the day go smoothly and stress free.

We had a great reception at the DoubleTree Minneapolis thanks to the good work of Katelyn Keyes and the staff at the hotel. We had a great time the night of, and everything was a breeze. The room that we had booked (the Terrace Ballroom) looked as wonderful in real life as it had been in the pictures, and the dinner was just as it had been in the tasting. We had nothing but compliments from the guests, and for the most part, we didn't have to worry about a thing.
There was really only one hiccup in the whole process, and that was with the reservations. There had been some confusion as to the bookings for a couple of guests, which all got sorted out in the end. As for value, we had a wonderful time, and the pricing of the facility and the evening was reasonable for the most part. Some of the decorations (ceiling drapings, etc.) seemed to cost more than was the market rate, though it all looked beautiful.
Overall, we would absolutely hold another event at this facility. We had an excellent experience with the staff and the reception was a great success.

Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis Park Place did an amazing job with our reception (and rehearsal dinner!). Katelyn was great to work with and was very prompt and organized in responses. The tasting in March was great- really helped us fine tune our menu for the wedding. We had both our rehearsal and reception, and the staff were amazing in making sure the rooms were available for set-up that aligned with the hours of the wedding. The layout of the room and social hour were perfect for us and our guests. Katelyn was there was beginning to end to ensure everything went as planned. and made for a great experience for my husband and I, as well as our guests. They completed take-down that night, which made the day after the wedding that much easier! It was stress-free and we were able to enjoy ourselves. Our guests also loved the location of the venue- as it allowed for a variety of extra activities outside of the wedding (stores, restaurants, etc.). It was an amazing day, and was so happy on our selection of the hotel for our venue.

Our wedding was wonderful and very stress free thanks to the staff at the Doubletree. They helped with the timeline and found things that I never thought about. The staff was willing to help in anyway possible. Katelyn the event coordinator made sure the day of that I had no worries. The food was great and I got several compliments on everything and the staff.

I was the one that made most of the arrangements for my daughter's wedding. I found the hotel and their service team to be one of the best experiences I have ever been involved with. Katelyn did a phenomenal job for our group and the entire staff was professional and went above-and-beyond to make my daughter's wedding not only beautiful but stress free, even when I was freaking out. They were awesome. I got many compliments on the food being wonderful, very good and hot. The arrangements were detailed to a tee, and the execution of the event went off flawlessly. They even were ready to assist in the need of a move of the wedding due to inclement weather. The pricing was affordable and I was impressed with their professionalism! Great event. I'd highly recommend them to others.

I truly enjoyed working with this venue for my wedding reception. No detail was missed, every email i sent was responded to within 24 hours. Everything I asked for they made it happen. I wanted to stay within budget and working with Katelyn made that happen. We just showed up and partied! I wanted simple and classic and they gave us that. We were so excited once we found and booked the DoubleTree for our wedding reception! It looked beautiful, our consultant (who no longer works there) was absolutely fabulous to work with and was always prompt with her communication. She helped work out deals that made the reception more in our budget. We were impressed! However, we were concerned when they informed us that there would be another wedding reception down the hall at the same time. They promised us that this happens nearly every weekend and it's never been an issue - they said we would never hear or see the other wedding's guests and would have an event that was uniquely our own. It all started going down hill about a week before the wedding. Our consultant quit, leaving us with one who didn't know any details we had worked out with the previous consultant, and who was very slow with communication. The week before the wedding- that's a big problem! She assured me that everything would still be perfect. Then, we found out that not only was there another event at the same time as ours down the hallway, but that they had scheduled another event IN OUR BALLROOM that ended just a few hours prior to ours, leaving the staff rushed to put together our ballroom. When we got there, not all of our chair sashes were put on the chairs (that my mother had to tie the day before), many were put on backwards and carelessly, and we got the excuse that they didn't fit the chairs. Hello! They were MADE on the chairs! Not only that, but the other wedding's guests drank off our keg, came into our ballroom - talking to me, hitting on my guests, and writing crude things in my wedding guestbook. That is NOT the completely separate event we had been promised. I CAN say that the food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and for the most part planning was stress-free. It's a beautiful hotel and we worked out some great deals, but the execution of our wedding reception was disappointing - not what we had been promised and paid for.

I would most definitely recommend this venue to anyone. Katie Diaz is amazing and she will put you at such ease. All of the staff were extremely nice. They made us feel like royalty. They made sure that everything went so smooth. I had so many of my guests compliment the venue and say that it was one of the best weddings that they have been to. The service was very efficient and the food was very tasty!

We booked our wedding reception at the Doubletree-Minneapolis Park Place in the Terrace Ballroom. The room was set up as instructed and the wait staff was very courteous and helpful. Katie Diaz was a pleasure to work with. Our food was amazing - we went with the steak and chicken fontina and had many compliments on the food. Definitely recommend
