DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Pittsburgh Cranberry

We were originally booked at another hotel for our wedding, but due to a change in ownership, we were stuck looking for another hotel only three months before our wedding. Our venue recommended the DoubleTree Cranberry, and we were so happy with it. The lobby is gorgeous and great for everyone to see each other/hangout/mingle. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Ashley and her team made sure I was booked in the biggest suite to accommodate hair and make up the day of the wedding, then had house keeping come through after we left so my husband and I would return to a clean and fresh room. Neither my husband or I are from Pittsburgh originally, so we were going to have a lot of people in town for the wedding. We told them roughly what we were expecting for the room block and instead of fighting us on the number of rooms we wanted, they agreed with us and even offered to up it if we needed to. We stayed at the hotel for a total of three nights, and every night we felt like royalty. The staff was so friendly and happy to help with everything we needed. Dylan at the front desk was even so kind to print off my vows for me the day of my wedding. Anytime we drive past the hotel now, my husband and I call it "our hotel" and will likely end up staying there again.

We had discussed on the phone that my husband would check in the night before our wedding, and have his room to get ready in the next afternoon, and would check out when he left for the wedding. The morning of our wedding he was informed that he needed to be out by 11 (we weren’t to leave for our ceremony until 2) because they had another wedding party checking in. The only solution that was initially offered was for him and his groomsmen to get dressed in the pool locker room. This was cleared up, but was an unnecessary stressor the morning of. After speaking to guests at our wedding, we discovered that 2 rooms had to be moved due to flooding in their room, one room had to be moved due to the air conditioning not working, and one room did not have a working television. We only had around 10 rooms booked in our room block and it was upsetting that we had issues with 5/10 rooms. However, the lobby is beautiful, and the breakfast in the morning and the bar in the evening was excellent. It was a great place for us to relax with our wedding party prior to and after our wedding.

t hot summer day, our experience with Phillip, the Wedding Coordinator, was amazing. The big day was October 26, 2019. We had 120 guests for a buffet dinner and dancing reception. What a night!!! When Phillip gave my husband and I a tour of the ballroom before the doors were open to our quests, I was simply speechless. I had no idea what to expect. I was brought to tears as I made my way around the room. We have been accused of being very fussy when it comes to service and expectations. Well…the Double Tree has certainly raised that bar for the next big event in our life. The food, the lighting, the table set up, the cookie table, the memory table, all were beyond words. I gave Phillip boxes of items for each table mentioned and said do with it what you feel would fit and, wow, once again, speechless!! The staff as a whole could not have been more helpful and supportive to each of our guests, family, and Bridal Party. I do have words to share with you now. Attention you wedding venue shoppers, please go and see Phillip at the Double Tree, located on Rt. 19 in Cranberry, for a life time of memories, I promise you, you will not regret it!!

oved the updated modern space. Phil helped us throughout the entire planning process by setting up meetings to go over details at certain points and kept us on track. Phil was always very responsive and helpful with any questions. After meeting with Phil about a month before the wedding and then two days before, we went over all of the final details and I knew we were in perfect hands. He totally understood our vision for how we wanted the space to look and once we saw it the day of the wedding we were blown away. We were even running late after getting pictures after the ceremony and he was calm and collected and got us right back on track! During the reception, the staff was so friendly and fun, every time we got a drink from the bar they made sure we didn't wait! After the wedding was over, the staff cleaned and packed up all of the wedding decor we supplied and even took it back to our room for the night. From beginning to end, the Doubletree and Phil made our wedding so enjoyable and relaxing!

The food: I have received so many compliments on how wonderful the food was. We did a buffet style dinner and everything was hot and delicious! The venue: The hotel in itself is beautiful, so once we added our personal touches it looked amazing. The Doubletree let me personalize so many things to make my reception look exactly like what I dreamed of! The Doubletree well exceeded my expectations for our NYE wedding! I would recommend this hotel to anyone getting married because they make everything so easy for the bride and groom! The venue, food, staff, EVERYTHING was top notch!

Phillip, the event coordinator, was amazing from day one, as was everyone else we encountered throughout the entire planning process and the day of the wedding. Phillip was organized, responsive, knowledgeable and his well timed sense of humor kept me laughing through the stress that the final weeks before the wedding brought. It was refreshing to talk to him in those stressful moments, I always left our conversations feeling confident that all would go as planned. The food was great and the event staff could not have done a better job. The hotel bar/restaurant were the perfect atmosphere for the after party. The guest rooms were wonderful and the breakfast buffet the morning after was a big hit! We also had walls draped and lighting in both the ceremony and reception rooms that was done by the DoubleTree. They made great recommendations and everything looked fabulous! We used outside vendors for musician/DJ and cake that were recommended by the venue and they were fabulous as well!

Our guests all commented on how good their meal was and they were very pleased with the variety of liquor and did not have to stand in line to get served. We would not have changed a thing as everything went just as we had planned. Toni, Eleanor & the rest of the staff could not have been any more pleasant and accommodating. I would highly recommend the Doubletree in Cranberry as one of the top places in our area to host a wedding reception. We had a great experience!

Other family members came in from Texas, Colorado, Ohio and Spain) Every member of the staff, from maintenance to housekeeping, front desk clerks to servers and management were courteous, professional and understanding with the myriad of requests we had to make. No question was too mundane, no detail too small to handle. Planning a long distance event is never easy, yet the staff of this hotel made it effortless and seamless. Particular kudos need to go to the catering manager Phillip. His knowledge, guidance and sense of humor were greatly appreciated. Any establishment would be lucky to have him in their employ. My husband and I, and the entire family, would highly recommend the Doubletree in Cranberry for any event or length of stay. They are that good.

The event coordinator, Phillip, deserves particular credit for his professionalism, responsiveness, and overall class that he showed from day one until the evening of our reception. Phillip and his staff made sure to take every detail into consideration. The staff worked with our videographer, DJ, photographer, and other vendors to ensure our timeframe and other events went as planned. This is definitely something that we appreciated on the day of our wedding, due to all of the planning that led up to it. If you are looking for a beautiful venue and a team that genuinely cares about the quality of your wedding reception, look no further. I would highly recommend this particular venue and team to anyone interested in a reception located in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Rihn, the rest of the front desk staff, the wait and service staff, EVERYONE went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. We did and then some. We had over 50 rooms booked, our rehearsal dinner, our wedding ceremony all at the Doubletree. They helped us with transportation back and forth to the reception as well. It was like working with family. Everyone bent over backward to make sure we were satisfied with everything. A special thanks to Henry for the fantastic food and to Allyssa for helping me make my ceremony site look so great. All of the support will never be forgotten and we hope we get to work with you all again for something else in the future, even if we have to make up a reason!!!

It stayed frozen too even on the long car ride back across the state! Our florist forgot the vase my dad rented to put my bouquet in for the reception, Phil found one in his office and let me borrow it! Everything went so well the whole day and night!
