I booked a wedding her back in 8-2020, I was working with Kenisha the manager, I received a email a week before my wedding saying that Kenisha was not there, The new person asked me about my food that I was suppose to have etc. I went there to talk to him everything was cool until 8/12/2021 NINE days before my wedding everything that Kenisha and I have discuss was out the door they wanted more money after I had paid my wedding off they start taking things off like my BAR I was suppose to have TWO, if I want the other I was told I would have to pay for it. Than they start taking stations off now I'm only allow to have one unless I pay for the other one. Why have people try things that will cost Extra after the fact when everything is booked and PAID for. Everything that I was promise I'm not getting it which was half of the reason I choose to have my wedding there. If I walk in today looking for a wedding I WOULD NOT DO IT.
I was so upset that I said I wanted to cancel and go somewhere else "Kristina Brourgeois" did not take away the pain I was feeling. She said OK YOU WANT to cancel like she was ready to do it without 2nd thinking instead of trying to make there BRIDE happy, that's what hurt the most knowing I gave these people my money in they don't care about you it's all about MORE MONEY.
She was ready to cancel knowing I wasn't able to get my money back.
KENISHA was the one who WON me over to have my wedding here, And I hate to say it but I REGRET it 100% no one should feel like this 9 days before there wedding and I have no plan B
Also my FH wanted to give it here because it reminded him of his collages days. I'm NOT looking forward to something that suppose to be so special to me. If I had the money to just walk away I would, the energy I got from Kenisha is not the same I got from Rony or Kristina I don't feel welcome.
The venue is truly one of the best kept secrets in the city. I wanted a venue with panoramic views of the city & the river and both ballrooms provide just that. The city/river backdrop was amazing and exactly how I envisioned our day. Kenisha was the best and helped us through every step of the process.
We selected the DoubleTree by Hilton in New Orleans to host our October 2018 wedding reception, bride’s suite, and group block. The DoubleTree team provided exceptional service to us during the entire weekend as well as during the contracting and planning phase. Jennifer and the team worked very well with my Vendors – this allowed me to have a stress free wedding day because I was not questioned or bothered on the day of the wedding … which is extremely important on the day of the wedding.
My husband and I both have large families and lots of friends so it was important that we selected a venue that could hold up to 500 people and this venue did the job! We contracted the International Ballroom (5,530 square feet) and Crescent Ballroom (2,334 square feet). Both ballrooms are located on the 16th floor of the hotel and overlook the city and the Mississippi Ballroom. During the 1st hour, we hosted a cocktail hour in Crescent Ballroom and then moved guests into International for our entrance; after guests were able to flow between both rooms for eating, socializing, and dancing. We had a DJ in International and a band in Crescent. The food selection was very easy, and the hotel offered lots of options and flexibility; especially for those with food allergies. The bridal suite was perfect for my ten bridesmaids to get ready in, and I also had two makeup artists and two beauticians; as well as grandparents, mothers, and sisters.
The DTNO team went over and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable wedding day. I did not hear any complaints nor concerns from my guests regarding their guestroom, the wedding reception and interactions with the staff... Everyone raved about how it was the best wedding reception they ever attended, and how great the food was. Guests also spoke highly of the cleanliness of the property, the renovated guest rooms & lobby, and how excited (and informed) the staff was about the wedding. Most of our guests stayed the entire weekend and had an incredible weekend because the hotel is so close to the French Quarter and Warehouse district.
I would recommend the Doubletree for anyone looking to host an event in New Orleans. If I had to do it again, I would not change a thing!
We Married at the Doubletree on 11/11. I can not say enough about how Amazing our day was! Everything was so seemingly smooth. You know how they tell you not to stress because SOMETHING is going to go wrong on your wedding day?? Well if it did, Jennifer did an amazing job keeping it from me! I stayed in the penthouse suite, relaxed as could be! I am so thankful for Jennifer and the Entire staff at the Doubletree. Each and every employee went out of their way to make sure all our guest felt like royalty. The food was beyond delicious and I am NOT being nice. I am a true foodie and the food from the chef was hand picked and seasoned beyond our expectations. Jennifer was always so caring and friendly! I wanted to invite her to the shower and the bachelorette weekend (that’s just how close we became)! Through the entire process she called to check in with us to make sure we were not stressed about anything. All our guest were beyond happy with their rooms, they were clean spacious and the location is prefect. This hotel really covered everything. I did not have a wedding coordinator and I don’t know much about weddings. Jennifer was my everything and I honestly regret nothing. Everything was beautiful. Our guest are still talking about how awesome everything was.
I don't even know where to start to share my absolutely amazing experience with the DoubleTree and their wonderful staff. First of all, I believe that this place is the best kept secret for NOLA weddings. If you are even questioning where in downtown to have your wedding, the DoubleTree needs to move to the top of the list!
Planning our wedding with Jennifer, the catering manager, was such an easy and relaxed process. She and her team clearly knew what they are doing, and we planned most of our reception without even needing to be in person (since I was planning from out of state!) She communicated so well with both me and my mom, and when we came into town for our tasting, I felt so taken care from the second we got off of the airplane. From menu planning to our room block, everything went smoothly, and if I ever had a question - it only took a quick email or call to get an answer.
As far as our wedding weekend - it was a DREAM. The rooms were awesome (newly remodeled and upgraded), and when it came to last-minute planning, we went to visit Jennifer and the catering staff who literally just told us to go enjoy ourselves as they had everything under control. The ballroom was GORGEOUS. Take the recommendations from the catering team for decor vendors - you won't be sorry! Being on the 16th floor overlooking the Mississippi River on one side and the city of NOLA on the other - the views were breathtaking! And the FOOD. So many of our guests said it was the best food they've had in the city - and many live there! We are so glad that our guests from out of town had a true New Orleans dining experience - and everyone loved every bite!
I am so grateful we chose the DoubleTree for our wedding venue. From the bellman to the General Manager, every person took time to greet us and make sure we knew we could reach out if we needed anything. They took wonderful care of us and our guests.
The staff at DoubleTree Hotel New Orleans are amazing. We are so happy we selected this venue for our special day. They have great attention to detail, are super patient, and are responsive. It was easy to work with them. The experience leading up the event was seamless.

The day of our wedding was just as impressive. The reception room was impeccable views of the city and river. The food was delicious. If I had to go back and do it all over again I would not change a thing.
Thank again for making a our a memorable event in our lives!!!
