Where do I begin to express how grateful we are for Double Tree? They thought of everything, their service was spot on. Sarah the coordinator was amazing her communication about everything put me at ease. We had to put together a last minute ceremony there due to rain on the beach and everything was perfect! Thank you so very much to everyone who made that very special day Memorable.
Where do I begin with this venue. Sergio was AMAZING!!! He was so patient with my mother and I during the planning process. The food was incredible and got so many compliments by ours guests. The rooms for guests were a great price, and the convenience of staying in one place was great. The parlor room was great for a small wedding party of girls. The outdoor area for the ceremony was perfect for our December wedding. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and Sergio. He was a pleasure to work with!
I was very worried that I was going to have problems since everyone I talked to never got back to me BUT NOT the Double Tree Robin was amazing and her staff was great!!! She put together everything and I had no worries, we live in Orlando so I thought it was going to be a problem with meetings but nothing went wrong!!! I can't thank them enough. I would recommend the Double Tree at Palm Beach Gardens to anyone its beautiful and all the people are there to help!! LOVE THEM AND HELLO THEY HAVE AWESOME COOKIES!!!!!
The Double Tree in Palm Beach Gardens is a beautiful setting for a wedding or wedding reception. Their reception staff were remarkably organized, helpful and fully trustworthy. The reception banquet hall was decorated beautifully and the food tasted wonderful! The chef was excellent. The banquet staff were courteous and efficient. Lonettee, the wedding event coordinator, went especially out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect for us. Even in the hours before the wedding when I was stressed out,(because I decided to do some self decorating)she and her staff took my table decorations and finished everything for me so that I could get ready and be with my daughter while she was getting dressed for the wedding. It took so much pressure off of me. When I walked into the reception room I was so pleased with what they had done. I would use this hotel again for a special event.
I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Double Tree and I was beyond happy with the day. The staff was excellent and I only had to talk about how I wanted things once and it was just done. My nephew is SEVERELY allergic to peanuts and they put that in my contract, ensured there weren't any nuts in anything, and the chef even came out to assure his parents that the food would be safe for him to eat.
The staff went above and beyond and I did not have to spend the entire week before my wedding worrying about what was being done, it was all done for me!!! Everything was on time, they were accomodating, and the hotel is beautiful with plenty of space for just about any size reception you could want.
I had a perfect day!
I loved the ambiance! The staff was very courteous and helpful. It was so convenient for our guests to be able to dance the night away and then simply go upstairs to their hotel room to go to bed. The lighting, the way the tables were set up and the location by the ocean was wonderful.;We had two choices for meals for our guests per our agreement with the Doubletree. They were New York Strip Steak or Chicken Marsala. We put these choices on our RSVP cards and guests told us in advance what they wanted to eat. The hotel did NOT serve the steak, instead I think it was prime rib but I'm not sure. Which isn't a big deal but it isn't what we agreed on, either. The guests who had the prime rib really enjoyed it. The chicken marsala was very, very dry and wasn't good. Despite the food fiasco, I would still recommend the Doubletree. I had such a memorable reception there and they did everything else right.
The reception was on the top floor. It over looked the water and the city.;Make sure you go over a checklist with the catering manager.
The view upstairs for the cocktail party and the catering manager!;The ceilings are low in the downstairs reception room and beams are located throughout that room also, making it difficult to see the entire room at once.
The Food was great, and the location as good.;The staff were rude, except for the waiters, they didn't deliver the welcome baskets on time or to the right people, rooms were not ready, lots and lots of problems, etc.
;We had great difficulty getting in contact with the hotels event planner after paying our deposit. The hotel staff did not stick to the agreed upon contract concerning alcholic beverages. The napkins on each table had paper clips holding them together (they were folding into birds of paradise). The cake was not completely served, it was cut but was only served to the three tables near the cake table. When we realized that imported beer was being served instead of the domestic that was in the contract we could not locate anyone incharge to fix the problem. When the hotel event coordinator was informed the next day he blamed us for the mistakes.
I loved the view of the bay from the floor to ceiling windows that lined the entire east wall leading out tot he balcony. The food was also amazing, I am still receiving compliments on my choice.;They are not very organized. There was a party from the night before that we had to help clean up the morning of before setting up our own stuff. There was only one person there to help us.
I loved the beautiful lighting and the way the room was decorated. The staff did a great job with the food tables as they had decorations I did not provide and they look beautiful with our theme. I also loved the rooms at the hotel and appreciated that they gave us a complimentary room to stay in the night of our wedding; Our wedding was a morning wedding and I feel like several things went wrong. This may just be because of our early time but several things were not set up as I had wanted (I wanted the food tables as stations and they were buffets). Also we told them we wanted NO alcohol and they served a champaigne toast and then tried to charge us for it. And they did NOT serve our cake to guests. We spent a lot of money on cake and no one got any!
The wedding coordinater at the DoubleTree Hotel in Coconut grove was outstanding. He was on top of every detail and made our wedding stress free!!!! His name is Yaser.
The view was beautiful. Our reception was held on the hotel's outdoor deck, so we were able to enjoy the view during the entire reception. The price per head included alcohol, so it was much less expensive than other venues we looked into, even if it didn't appear to be at first glance. The coordinator at the hotel was extremely helpful and nice to work with. The reception included a room for the night, and the room was stocked with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. The food was delicious. In addition to the main course, the per head cost included beautiful appetizers, including chocolate covered strawberries, bruchetta, etc.;I cannot think of anything that I would warn other couples about. Maybe one heads-up -- the cost did not include chairs on the beach, so make sure you request that there be seating on the beach if you would like it. The cost was very reasonable, however, but I remember not realizing until further into the process that I needed to request seating for my guests. It was easily taken care of, so this is not so much a warning as a 'heads up.'
Our wedding/reception was a package that included a beachfront wedding, photography, food, drink, video, music and officiant.;The reception was only three hours long. A couple of more hours would have been much better.
Yaser Mohamed, who was the Director of Catering at the time, made it so we had nothing to worry about that day. Aside from the beautiful downstairs ballroom, he was the reason we were thrilled to have our wedding there.;Yaser Mohamed is no longer there. I don't know what the current Catering Director is like, so that could be a pitfall.
located on beach; The rooms are a bit conference looking so you need to spend a lot of money to decorate and transform to more ballroom type feel but its a nice setup facing the ocean. Great backup room space for bad weather.
The reception venue was perfect for my wedding because we had a lot of out of town guest. So many guests stayed at the hotel. We had a wonderful outdoor rehearsal gathering out near the beach by the hotel pool and there was enough space for a buffet to be held. We were able to reserve most of the outside area and took up majority of hotel rooms. The wedding receptoin was perfect with a side room for the cocktail hour and then a grand entrance into the reception area, which was decorated with lightening/decorations that were more than we had expected. We had a breakfast for all of our guests the following morning which was great and they held the flowers from the reception to add to the ambience of the breakfast. Also, we had a pizza/beer party after the receptoin by the hotel bar which had views of the beach and our wedding guests basically had the whole area reserved for them.;There are many weddings at the hotel so I felt like it was harder to get the wedding coordinators at the hotel to pay attention to my wedding details. However they really pulled through in the last week. Also, we had many events at the hotel, therefore we dealt with them much more than other wedding would have. (rehearsal dinner, reception, postwedding party, breakfast)
I loved everything. The staff was wonderful, the food was great, & everything was beautiful.
I loved the cocktail hour by the pool. The weather was wonderful and breezy. The Sapphire room on the 20th floor has an amazing view all around the ball room.;The catering manager was not that helpful. She was okay no major mistakes occured but I think that was do in part to the fact that I hired a wedding planner a few weeks before the wedding.
The floor to ceiling windows that looked over the water. The food was great and the beach was breathtaking.
All the decorations.;The coordinator was not there when we needed her and said she would handle everything. The cake was missing at the end of the night and they did not find it till two weeks later and two of our guests were not fed.
