was truly the best choice we have ever made! Kelly Thornton is by far the greatest wedding coordinator in Pittsburgh. She answered my emails and phone calls in a very timely manner (I had a billion because we were planning the wedding on our own) and always made me feel important and comfortable with everything going on. She was incredibly thorough with everything that was planned and had a strict timeline which I very much appreciated. It helped everything run smoothly and was spaced out so I didn't ever feel overwhelmed. She was so friendly and fun to work with! Before deciding on our food selection, we a had a tasting, which was AWESOME. When the wedding day arrived, we knew the reception room would be beautiful, but we were blown away. The ballroom was so gorgeous!! The decorations were wonderful, EVERYONE commented on how delicious the food was, and all of our family and friends also made sure to let us know how friendly the bartenders and servers were, as well! Everything, and I mean everything, was just fantastic. A huge, sincere thank you to everyone at the Doubletree Hilton Greentree for helping make our wedding day the best of our lives. We will be recommending you to all of our engaged friends!

stic night we will never forget. Kelly made the planning and stressful decisions easy for us, she really knows her stuff and is wonderful at what she does. Kelly pays attention to all of the little details and is very accommodating. She made sure that we were happy with everything, every step of the way. Charles, Kelly's assistant is just as awesome as she is. He was there on the night of the wedding and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. On our wedding night, when we got a "sneak peek" of the ballroom before the guests arrived we were simply blown away. I knew that the ballroom would look great, but they really created something I could have never imagined, it was stunning! Every single part of the night went smoothly and if it didn't, I wouldn't have a clue. The food was delicious and the staff was excellent. We have had so many compliments from our guests saying how beautiful the wedding was and how much fun they had. Kelly and her team put so much effort into making the night one we will never forget. I absolutely loved working with Kelly and the Double Tree staff and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great time and a beautiful wedding!

ile we were searching for a venue after we first got engaged, it quickly became apparent that the Doubletree's package was hands down the best value. Weddings are very costly events, we knew that going in, but the DoubleTree was the only venue that we walked away from our initial meeting feeling like we would get our money's worth if we chose them. And I am so happy we did. Not only was the package extremely reasonable for everything we got, Kelly, The DoubleTree's wedding coordinator was THE BEST part of the process. She walked us through step by step of planning our day, asked us questions we wouldn't have thought of on our own, and really spent the time listening and figuring out what our dream reception would look like. She gave advice when we asked for it, and she went out of her way to do things exactly the way we wanted, and in the year between us booking the Doubletree and our wedding day, Kelly was always just an email away whenever we had any question or concern no matter how trivial they were. After our final meeting with Kelly, I didn't think about the reception again until we were ready to walk in as Mr. & Mrs, because I completly trusted her vision and execution, and I was right to do so. The room was completely gorgeous, and everything from the cookie table, to the guests tables, to the Double Tree's staff waiting on my husband and I hand and foot made our day an absolute fairy tale. Kelly even stayed through most of the reception making sure everything was running smoothly, and when she left her assistant took over, so there wasn't a single minute where we were on our own. Booking a venue is one of the biggest decisions a Bride makes when planning her wedding- I am so happy we chose the DoubleTree because it made a notoriously stressful planning process FUN!

They went above and beyond to accommodate my food allergies at the reception. One of the managers Bill was extremely helpful the weekend of our wedding. nothing compared to it. Kelly was the greatest! She was there for us the entire way. She kept me calm and collected and mind you, we were planning our wedding for over a year. She was never more that an email away. I would email her and she would get back to me instantly. We met Charles during our food tasting and he too was the best! We have had so many complements! So many people have come up to us and even have called us to tell us that this was the BEST wedding they have EVER been to! The room was beautiful, the food was the best, the staff was more then gracious, ect. I had so many thoughts in my head what the room could and would look like but when Kelly gave us our first look at the room before guests were allowed into the room, I was lost for words! The room was breathtaking and more then I could have ever imagined. The only negative thing I can think of, is that the night had to end! But even then, our over night room was AMAZING and all the guests that stayed over night said how clean and beautiful their rooms were! I would HIGHLY recommend the Doubletree in Green Tree to anyone! This was the best wedding and Kelly and Charles were the best coordinators anyone could ever ask for!!!!! I first met Kelly Thornton (the wedding event planner at Double Tree-Green Tree) at a bridal show and while I didn’t think I wanted a hotel wedding, I decided to meet with her. The other wedding venue coordinators I met with were very nice, however, I was so blown away by Kelly at our initial meeting that I instantly changed my mind about a hotel wedding. I visited a couple other venues after meeting with Kelly and quickly realized my mind was made up – The Double Tree offered the best wedding package for what I wanted and Kelly’s customer service was unlike anywhere else I had gone. Choosing The Double Tree was the best decision I could have possibly made! The planning process can get overwhelming at times and Kelly’s assistance and guidance throughout the entire planning process truly removed the stress from it. She was always available to talk and answered all of my calls / emails within 24 hours. Throughout the entire process she was very thorough, keeping track of deadlines, ensuring I remained on track with the venue planning, helping me analyze all the small details and providing guidance on significant decisions. I had some last minute changes and Kelly accommodated them all without a second thought. I was literally care free on my wedding day – everything fell exactly into place and that can 100% be attributed to Kelly and her team. On the day of my wedding, Kelly and her assistant, Charles, were very attentive the entire time – not only to me and the bridal party, but to all of the guests as well. The service was truly outstanding. Kelly kept my group in order, on time, gave instructions, met all the requests of my photographer and ensured I had a smile on my face the entire time. Charles made sure everyone in the bridal party had the food and drinks they wanted and remained attentive (with the bridal party and the guests) throughout the entire night ensuring there were no issues with food or service. The ballroom looked exactly as I had envisioned it. Kelly, Charles and the staff did an AMAZING job setting everything up, including the personal items I wanted displayed. The staff that cleaned everything up was also amazing. The Double Tree provides a room to store your personal items / decor. Everything was neatly packed and organized. All my husband and I had to do in the morning was load everything as they had packed it into the car. My husband and I have received so many compliments on the service, the food and the hotel rooms! There is not one thing from my wedding day that could have been better or that I would have done differently. I cannot thank Kelly, Charles and everyone at The Double Tree-Green Tree enough for helping creating the truly amazing experience!

ly was our event planner and walked us through every preparation and was immediately available throughout the reception. Her experience and suggestions were very valuable to us. Charles was Kelly's assistant for our event. I don't think anyone can beat his customer service skills and he was very helpful to me, the mother of the bride, in particular throughout the evening. At the end of the evening one of the staff associates, Melvin, assisted us in gathering all of the items that needed to be transported to the holding room for the following morning. His sense of humor was a delight at the end of the day. Lance was the front desk associate who rose to the occasion each time I made a request from my hotel room through a need for scotch tape. He was so patient and accommodating. The was one wait staff who was so perceptive. She overhead my conversation with my 18 month old granddaughter during the food serving and came to the rescue. I am sorry I did not get her name. No matter how "pretty" a room can be or how "good" food can taste, an event such as this cannot succeed without exceptional staff. And the room was beautiful, the food and drink were good (especially the champagne} and the wait staff were efficient. ...Thank you from the mother of the bride...

utely amazing. She was so patient, honest, helpful and just so easy to work with. She really made this part of planning a breeze (which was great because the venue/food/lodging was highest on our list of importance). We had several out-of-town guests and with so many amenities the hotel felt almost like a resort. Being newly renovated and being so close to downtown, we didn't have to worry about or guests having a nice visit. I really could go on and on with how positive our experience was, but I will say that on the day of our wedding, we truly felt like royalty. The entire staff bent over backwards for us in so many ways, they exceeded our expectations. Kelly even bustled my dress so that my bridesmaids could eat/relax. We received so many compliments about the quality of the food and venue in general and are genuinely so pleased that we chose the Doubletree. Highly recommend and would choose it again!!!

o see in person. The Doubletree Green Tree was roughly the 4th or 5th venue that we looked at in person. From day one when we met Kelly we knew we were in good hands. During the initial visit Kelly took us on a tour and went over all of the packages and options with us. On the ride home we decided that this was likely the place for us. We were all in love with it. We got back in contact with Kelly and based on our guest list # we were between 3 and 4 portions of the large ballroom. We finally decided on 4, thankfully because our guest list continued to grow, and we had 286 people at our wedding. The spacing of the 4 portions was PERFECT for our side wedding. Once we booked the venue Kelly was an amazing help. She was always there to answer my ever growing list of questions. She was also an absolute asset in the planning process, with great recommendations for other vendors. We did the tasting approximately 6 months prior to our event, and it was great. The food was amazing, and Kelly took detailed notes regarding our likes and dislikes and helped us decide on what our final menu was. Her detailed notes at the tasting proved extremely helpful closer to the wedding when we decided to add some extras, and she had notes regarding things that we had forgotten. As the wedding drew closer Kelly was always in touch regarding things we needed to be doing, and helped us stay on track of our timeline. She was also so detail oriented from getting to know us to helping us pick décor and plan the layout of the room. Two days prior to our reception we gained access to the “cookie room,” where we trayed all of our cookies and stored everything needed for the reception. Kelly helped me organize everything and make sure everything was accounted for. Our cocktail hour was in Salon A and our reception was in all 4 portions of the large ballroom. The parkway ended up being closed on our wedding which made for lots of traffic and delays, we arrived as the reception was to be starting. All I wanted to do was see the room before everyone was in it and Kelly made it happen, it was amazing. Everything during our reception was perfect, the food was all served quickly and was hot, we had tons to drink, amazing cake and too many cookies to count. It was one amazing party that I am still receiving compliments on 3 months later. We extended the time by a half hour and I wish we would have extended it by an hour because no one was ready to stop partying, we all ended up going to the lobby bar and partying there. As you know anything that is associated with ‘wedding’ instantly goes up in price, I feel that what we paid for in relation to what we got was fantastic. I have received compliments from multiple people saying it was the nicest wedding they have ever been to. The entire event was amazing and we were treated like royalty. There is a lot included in the package that isn’t included at other venues we looked at and this was wonderful. If I could go back and do it all over again I would most definitely pick the Doubletree Green Tree, between the beauty of the venue, the utmost helpful staff and the asset that Kelly is, I highly recommend this venue, for weddings both large and small.

She had it all Down to a popped button in my only daughters dress, several people with serious diet issues and restrictions, She oversaw everything!! And I thought she was just there to sell me and I would never see her again! My mistake! When your only daughter says it was the second best day of her life besides the birth of her son, moms heart fulfilled! Thank you Kelly Thorton you are an asset to the Hilton Doubletree corporation! venue site my husband and I toured and we were blown away from the first minute. Kelly takes the time to show and explain to you everything so going in there are no surprises. After viewing here we canceled all other appointments, we knew this place was the perfect match. Through all the planning, Kelly was there to answer all our questions and give her opinion/advice. Kelly was even on the floor the day of our wedding bustling my dress and vial! yard space to our reception everything was gorgeous. One of the requirments we had when looking for a venue was outdoor ceremony space. The Doubletree has an outdoor courtyard that can be rented for use, weather permitting. The day of our wedding, the weather was beautiful and we were beyond thrilled that our dream of an outdoor wedding was happening. From the courtyard for our ceremony space to the ballroom for our reception, we were completely blown away.Everything looking amazing and was breathtaking. Kelly and her team team did an amazing job with decor and incorporating our decorations in as well. The food was delicious and served hot and the bartenders were not greedy when making drinks. Once Kelly left, Bill was there for us throughout the rest of the night and he assisted us all of our needs as well. We would recommend Kelly and the Doubletree-Greentree location to anybody who asks or wants a recommendation. You will not go wrong!! It takes a lot to "wow" my dad's side of the family and they still have not stopped talking about our wedding and how they were all blown away. Thank you to Kelly, Bill, and the rest of the Doubletree staff for making our wedding a night that we will never forget. We wish we could relive the day over and over again! IT WAS PERFECT

n was great to work with. The cocktail hour went off perfectly with plenty of food and drinks. We had a sit-down dinner 220 guest and everyone's meal was perfect. Every guest I have heard from said it was the most beautiful wedding reception they had every been to. I did add many extras to the room such as; up lighting, changing the linens, adding chair covers and sashes and upgrading the flowers. While not cheap it was well worth the price when the ballroom doors were opened and a collective gasp was heard from our guests. If you are going for the "Wow Factor" and still want an elegant event this is definitely the place to pick.

w the hotel, and met Kelly Thornton, we just had a great feeling about the Doubletree. Kelly gave us the grand tour of the facilities, it is simply beautiful. She was so incredibly thorough and patient, answering every question that a nervous bride could have. She went over pricing with us, and we were so happy to see that this venue was not only beautiful, but affordable as well. My husband, family and I loved this place so much that we actually called to book it that very same afternoon. When you know, you just know! We booked it in July 2014, and were not getting married until September 2015. Kelly kept in touch with me during those 14 months, and was extremely knowledgeable about 'all things wedding'. She helped me get on the right track to planning my dream wedding. Fast forward to our wedding week, Kelly had every last detail plotted out for us. When we left the meeting with her, 1 week before the wedding, I felt completely at ease and I knew everything would turn out amazing. On the wedding day, when we arrived at the reception, Kelly met us at the front door and was with us the whole time before we entered the ballroom, asking me if we needed anything or if there was anything her or her staff could do. Kelly took it upon herself to bustle my dress for me! My husband and I soon realized that my dress was longer than I thought it was, and the dance that we practiced so hard for, was almost not going to happen. Kelly had a trick up her sleeve and was able to fix my dress. She literally saved the day! The Oakmont Junior Ballroom looked absolutely breathtaking when I walked in. Words just cannot describe how beautiful it was. It was above and beyond my expectations. The staff did a wonderful job of putting it all together. The food was perfectly cooked, and came out nice and HOT! Every one of my guests told me that 'this was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to', and that they had so much fun. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. This hotel made my wedding come to life! It was truly the best day of my life, and I couldn't have done it without Kelly Thornton and staff. I will recommend this venue to every bride I know. Booking this venue will be the best choice you ever made!

he Appetizers and Entrees,which were delicious and served piping hot to 195 guests, the service, which was fantastic and the overall manner in which we were treated by members of the staff from the day we decided to go with the Double Tree by Hilton right up to the actual wedding day, which lasted over a period of 15 months. Kelly Thornton is a wonderful wedding planner and probably the best in the city! Kelly went out of her way to make the day so very special for all of us and we will never forget her!! The staff was so attentive throughout the wedding reception. We received so many compliments from our guests! They were all very impressed and they said they had a wonderful time! We highly recommend Double Tree by Hilton to any future bride and groom. Thank you!

The night went smoothly without any glitches. The food was amazing. Everyone of our guests commented how delicious the food was and that it was an amazing and unforgetable wedding. I want to also make a special note that Charles, who was one our wedding planners, never stopped checking on us to see if we needed anything or if everything was going alright with the wedding. He was exceptional and professional. The Hilton is lucky to have someone so dedicated to make sure the hosts were happy!! My daughter and son-in-law both were happy we chose the Hilton Greetree for the wedding reception. It was a great experience and I would recommend this a 100%.

aying cookies to let us know that they had started to set up the room if we wanted to come and see it (which was exciting!). I was completely blown away by how beautiful the room looked when we first walked into the reception! To see it all decorated with the soft lighting, it was so gorgeous! There were a few minor details that we were not happy about. There was a tip jar on the bars and we had been told that there would not be. They wheeled a luggage cart with the bridal party's belongings into the reception room and put it right next to the gift table. I thought they should have had a better plan for that as it didn't look very nice and seemed in the way. Other than those two things, everything was wonderful -- a lot of attention to details, Kelly and Charlie were on hand to be sure everything was running smoothly, the service was excellent. We are so thankful that everything came together so perfectly and it was a wonderful and beautiful evening.

She truly is the best and so on top of everything!!! We also got a chance to work with Charles who was so great as well! ed at many different places, however, after reading many different very good reviews about this venue we decided to give it a try. Making an appointment was very easy and we were able to meet only a couple of days after first speaking with Kelly, the amazing wedding coordinator for the hotel. During our first meeting Kelly explained everything that is included, broke down prices and answered the hundreds of questions I had. After that first meeting we were completely sure that this was the venue for us, not to mention that the hotel is absolutely beautiful. Throughout the planning process, Kelly was readily available to answer my questions and was on top of everything that needed to be done. The hotel packages included to mention a few things a very generous variety of h'orderves, entrées, drink selections and very importantly to me, the centerpieces. The day of my reception was absolutely beyond what I had dreamed of. We had a small wedding with 75 guest. I must say that when Kelly initially showed us the room we would use for the reception, my thought was "this would do". It looked very pretty and clean, but I just couldn't really picture my reception. Anyway, the day of the reception I almost fell over in amazement when I saw the room! It was absolute completely transformed into an amazing, elegant, beautiful and dreamy venue. My colors were purple and ivory and the room was an amazing balance between those two colors. The centerpieces they provided, which I was able to pick and help create were also way beyond what anyone would expect as an included item in a package. To be realistic, many of us would think that since its an included item, we would be limited to a simple, cheap looking centerpiece, well I am very happy to inform any bride here that, that is not the case. My centerpieces were incredible 4 feet tall beauties of exactly what I wanted. The colors matched perfectly and the florist did exactly what made me happy. The food was absolutely delicious. The day of the reception, to be honest, I was very scared that the food was not going to be what we had tried during our food tasting, well I must say, the food was even better! It was very tasty and displayed beautifully. We received a lot of compliments about it. The service was exemplar and the waiters were very pleasant. To conclude, I must say that the doubletree hotel and their staff went absolutely above and beyond with their customer service. At every moment I was there to meet with Kelly, I felt like her priority at that time, she did nothing but take care of absolutely every detail to even the smallest of my requests. She was very pleasant and an honor to work with. The day of our reception both my husband and I felt as royalty as well as our guest. Everybody that attended our wedding were absolutely very well taken care of. I was able to relax and just simply enjoy that beautiful day. I would hands down absolutely recommend this venue to any bride out there and guarantee that your day will be amazing.

t comes to wedding food. My biggest complaint was working with the wedding coordinator, Kelly, in the months leading up to the wedding. I was the one who had to keep reminding her when it would be time for the next meeting or the next thing due. The person who should have been making my life easier was stressing me out! But in the end, it all came together.

every single detail was to our liking! She was in constant contact and made everything smooth! The food is amazing, the ballroom gorgeous, wonderful accommodations, and great hotel! The cookies?, ugh so good :). They gave us everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home. Her quick response to any of our questions in the preparation months and most definitely the 6 days involved with the wedding gave us calm confidence for the beautiful event. Her banquet staff attended to every aspect making the event stress-free & beautiful. Our bride and groom were so very happy, and were blown away with their reception! Our many guests were so complimentary of the rooms, staff, facilities, and most definitely - the dinner! We all want to have a "do-over" for the kids first anniversary! As parents, you couldn't ask for a better venue to celebrate your children's union! Worth every dime/dollar!! As for the rooms, we were very pleased with the help choosing an appropriate blocking and date. The hotel worked well with us to add to the block and was gracious to extend our blocking date to accomodate the number of out-of-town guests. Again, our guests were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms, the amenities (inside & outside pools!), the restaurant, bistro, and bar offerings. This made us very comfortable knowing our guests were not "traveling" around the city looking for places to go. Our bride and groom were treated to a complimentary suite and breakfast on their wedding night. Room number not revealed and in a different tower than other guests! Kelly and her staff were also helpful in arranging transportation to off-site events we scheduled for the bride/bridesmaids and groom/groomsmen. I also need to mention the so-called "cookie room" or "holding room". As a destination wedding, we were concerned about how to cram all the "extras" needed for all the surrounding events. The DoubleTree provided us with a complimentary room which only we had access to for storage. No need to stack boxes and gifts in our hotel rooms! This was so very helpful for both families! I just cannot tell you how easy this hotel made our wedding weekend. We only had to enjoy the love of family, friends, and especially our children. THAT is the way a wedding should be!

In other words, she had an answer for everything! She wasn't afraid to get down to business, and helped us to make significant decisions when they had to be made. She was more organized in planning my wedding than even I was, offering vendor suggestions, setting deadlines for my husband and I, and following up with me after every meeting through email or phone call, pinpointing and analyzing every last detail to make my wedding day carefree and ultimately, perfect. The day of the wedding was marvelous. When I got off my party bus, it was calming to see Kelly waiting just outside the bus. She led us to the cocktail room, and made sure I had just what I needed, as well as my bridal party. Everything ran extremely smoothly, and she always kept me informed of what was to come during the reception. The ballroom looked just as I had envisioned it, and Kelly and staff did a fantastic job setting up my personal items I brought to have on the tables. There was always someone there to help during the reception, which in turn helped my husband and I actually take in everything happening around us (a rarity during your wedding). In addition, the food was something that I was very concerned with, as food at weddings is often difficult to enjoy. Both my husband's family, as well as mine, received endless compliments about the dual plate of filet and chicken scampi. One of the first things that was clear is that the food came out HOT (not always the case at weddings). The portions were large, (even the shrimp), and all of the meat was very juicy! During the wedding, Kelly worked with a man named Charlie. He was also helpful in making sure my husband, family, and myself had everything we needed throughout the wedding. He was vigilant, and also available the second we needed anything. To have two individuals there to assist was excellent. I could not have envisioned a better wedding for my husband and I. The DoubleTree-Green Tree and Kelly Thornton will make planning a wedding less stressful, and help you to actually enjoy the process. I come from a very concerned, involved family, and Kelly even made the "worriers" overjoyed once they saw what she was able to do for us the day of the wedding. There weren't any requests made that weren't filled, and as the wedding neared, Kelly made us all feel at ease. If you have a vision for your wedding, Kelly will make it come to life. Thanks!

The wedding weekend: everyone at the Doubletree was very accommodating to us and our guests. The reception: everything was amazing. The service was right on, the food was delicious, the flowers and decor were just what my daughter imagined! Kelly was present to keep everything on task, and checked in with us several times to see if things were ok. We received many compliments from our guests and the wedding couple was very happy with everything! We live three hours away and Kelly made this experience very easy for us and we appreciate everything she did. We would highly recommend Kelly and the Doubletree for any special event!!

There were two other weddings at the hotel on our date which made us very nervous, but I might never have known if I hadn't been told ahead of time because our wedding seemed to get as much attention as it would have if it were the only one there that day. The value for what you get at this venue was so much better than what we were finding elsewhere and really took a lot of stress out of the planning process. The event staff were very helpful and friendly and answered all of our questions. Also, the hotel's accommodations for our guests really stood out from other places, which was very important to us.

n appointment but one of their coordinators, Kelly, met with me and spent about an hour showing me the location and discussing options. I knew that I wanted Kelly to organize my wedding. Her execution was flawless and on those days that I was freaking out, she calmed me. I completely trusted her. She wanted my day to be extra special and I knew that it would be. All of my guests have commented on how wonderful the location was, beautiful the decorations, and ultimately, how tasty the food. I would highly recommend the DoubleTree.

d their article in Whirl magazine. The wedding coordinator Kelly is great at her job. I was a very laid back, hands off bride and loved knowing that Kelly had everything handled for me. She and her staff went above and beyond to meet the requests that we made. Charles was in charge of our party after dinner and he was just as amazing. I can honestly say that I got to thoroughly enjoy every second of my wedding and felt completely at ease knowing that everyone had everything under control. The only complaint that I have was that one of the upgrades that we had to add wasn't put out and I had to ask about it. Not a huge deal but we almost didn't get something that we HAD to add and pay extra for. I can honestly say that if I could go back and change anything about my wedding day, I wouldn't. It was perfect and the Doubletree had a lot to do with that.

us stay on top of things (homework for the bride and groom!). The day of the wedding went fairly smoothly, no major mistakes. At first we were reluctant to have the hotel play such a large role in the wedding activities themselves (like potential door holders), but it ended up being the right mix of hotel service with our own wedding helpers. They were very respectful of the way we envisioned the ceremony and reception. The staff were super respondent to our requests (adjusting lighting, boxing food to go, finding a vase for my wife's bouquet after the ceremony, etc). Only reason I'm giving 4-stars for quality is that there are more "expensive" and more "elegant/modern" quality venues, but I wouldn't let that deter from choosing the DoubleTree. They recently renovated and everything was new, and last call out was that there were not too many good looking locations for photos. Overall, we were very pleased with the DoubleTree in the Green Tree. We felt we received great value for what we spent and it didn't feel like breaking the bank ;)

I could not be happier with the decision to have my wedding reception here and would not change one thing about the night. The majority of our guests are still talking about our wedding as, “the best wedding they’ve ever been to” and how beautifully it was put together, the delicious food, the room décor, the entertainment, the elegance of the hotel and its rooms, and memories that will never be forgotten at the Doubletree - Greentree!! The Doubletree by Hilton – Greentree was one of the first venues that sparked my interest because it was close to our Ceremony location, it could hold our approximate guest size, and the hotel provided a complementary shuttle to and from the airport, which was an excellent convenience for our guests because many of them were from out of town! When I first met Kelly, I could tell she was a very genuine person who was passionate about making my day perfect and stress-free (which she reiterated several times throughout our meeting as being an important part of her process). She described the Doubletree wedding packages very specifically, which was an extremely important element to me. I needed to fully trust the Event Coordinator at my reception venue and soon recognized that Kelly could be that person After meeting with Kelly we decided that the Doubletree was our Reception venue. During our planning process, we experienced some issues and addressed them with Kelly. If possible, we needed to push back our wedding date one year from our current date. Kelly was concerned and understanding of our situation and went to the board of the Doubletree to inform them and pull in our favor (which to this day is the most breathtaking act of kindness I have experienced). She was successful in her attempts and as a result my husband and I have a more advantageous future ahead of us! Kelly, Charlie, and Doubletree staff could not have been more accommodating during this entire process! Every question, comment, and concern of mine was addressed and taken care of with the greatest of ease and excellent response time. Over the years, Kelly has composed a preferred vendors list which is given to her clients as a resource and a convenience. We were advised to communicate with the preferred vendors as the Doubletree forms and maintains successful working relationships with outside vendors. We booked all of our vendors from her list and were very happy with every one, highly recommending them to our family and friends! Sticking to her promise of a stress-free day, Kelly ensured that my special day was one I was going to remember. Several unforeseen events occurred on our wedding day, causing our bridal party to arrive 40 minutes late; triggering panic within me. As we arrived she greeted everyone with a smile that calmed my nerves immediately. Kelly, Charlie, and the rest of the Doubletree event staff consistently made sure my husband and I as well as our families received anything and everything we needed throughout the night. The customer service was extraordinary!! My husband and I have never experienced such conscientious, professional, and friendly service as we did that night and are completely satisfied!

If we were approached by one person throughout the night, we were approached by 5 ensuring that everything was to our liking. I have been recommending this venue to everyone.

t of our reception went off without a single hitch. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food is out of this world, and our ballroom could not possibly have been any prettier. Our guests were stopping us all night to tell us what a good time they were having and how much they enjoyed their meals. When we were pricing venues, I was hesitant to consider the DoubleTree as I thought they would be out of our budget, but when we broke down everything that was included in the price -- hors d'oeuvres, bar service, dinner, linens, centerpieces, our suite for the night, and more -- it's well-priced. Most importantly, you get Kelly as your coordinator, and she is just marvelous. She took care of everything from start to finish so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. And at the end of our reception I realized it was all worth every. single. penny. (Plus! We put the Hilton Honors points we earned by paying for our reception towards the hotel for our honeymoon.) Should you decide to work with Kelly and the DoubleTree, you will absolutely not regret it.
