The foods served for our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and reception dinner were delicious; we really enjoyed the tasting event where we got to try every single food they offer for the reception! The great service, food and drinks is well worth the total cost (which we found was way more reasonable than many other local event venues!). Would highly recommend having your wedding at the DoubleTree!

country. So we decided logistically, that Double Tree would be the best option. Everyone can stay in one place and no one had to drive if they didn't want to once they were there. Plus we didn't want them to pay foe parking on top of everything else. Our ceremony was at same place too. Well little did I know then what a great idea this was....Then enter Shari Drace. She was super helpful answering questions. And one of my biggest peeves about the other venues was I had to sign a contract before I taste their food. I am very particular about my food. But Shari...wow, after we walked around for the tour, we sat down in the restaurant. She had the chef prepare us a dish similiar to what we might get but not the exact meals. At least we can get an idea... OMG it wss soo delicious! I dont' think my then fiancee got much of it to eat! Lol. Well, we took the contract home reviewed it, abd sent it back signed the next day. But we knew when we left thats where we wanted to be. She even gave me the bridal show discount, and gave me 4 free uplights too boot! We got about 24 blocked rooms at a discount. But the hotel price is pretty reasonable anyways. Free parking, free shuttle for my airport arrivals. Not to mention those scrumptious chocolate chip cookies they give nice and warm! Plus my flower girl, Ring Bearer and the other guests enjoyed the Pools. We went for a taste test a few months later with 4 other guests. We got to try out and decide which one we liked best. I was still worried about the fish though. So Shari invited me back to try a new fish dish they were offering. OMG it was delicious! So I definitely added it to the menu. They even accommodated my matron of honor and groomsmans food allergies, and had a delicious vegan meal prepared for my nephew. on the list. We had welcome bags for all our guests, they were great at handing out. We had a bunch of decorations to put on display at ceremony and a few items were moved to the reception room after. A week or two before the ceremony, I was worried about not having enough room to take pictures of my huge immediate family after ceremony. So Shari got an ok to move it to other ballroom so I didn't have to worry. It was spectacular! They even had drinks especially for each of our wedding party ready after ceremony. They day or two before I had to drop off my stuff for decorations. I made a list of what I wanted and she took it to a whole other level. It was even better than I had imagined it! She worked with all my vendors, She accommodated our big crazy family, and she and her crew put on a great spread. We had two buffets and the food was awesome! I ordered fish as on the meals and I was worried about it getting dry. It was scrumptious! Everyone loved the food! I got more compliments from everyone on what a great venue and wedding it was. It made our day so special! Were there a couple snags along the way? Sure. like anything in this life. But Shari more than made it all work out. It was the best day thanks to her and the crew at Double Tree... My family and friends are still talking about it! Oh and the whole thing was very reasonably priced too! Sorry this is so long, but I can't express enough how happy we were!Thank you for everything!

ds down. Anything you need or have questions about she is right their emailing or calling you right back. We were in the grand ballroom and what a beautiful space it is. There was plenty of room for all the guests and tables. The quality of the DoubleTree is outstanding. The food was one of the best if not the BEST food I've ever had at a wedding reception and our guests even said so themselves. The waiters and all the people helping during the reception were all so helpful and accommodating with anything you needed. We had a guest with a gluten allergy and the chef even made a special dish for them so they could enjoy the dinner. If we could do it all over again the DoubleTree hotel would be right at the top of our list and we would not change a thing! Thank you Shari and the rest of the crew at The DoubleTree Hotel Syracuse. You made us feel so welcomed and gave us more than we could have ever asked for.

ight and the food was amazing. They have several rooms to choose from. We had chosen the Grand Ball Room as it fit us best, our colors, and gave us the room we wanted for our guests. They worked around a few of our likings that werent in their normal package and made them happen. My husband is in the military which at times can make things a little different from the normal steps and situations. My husband, Chris had asked me to marry him after several years of dating, two wars, and a daughter. That day was huge to me for the simple fact that it would resemble the beginning of our families future together. He propesed several months before he came home from oversea and we wanted to be married before he was relocated again so our family didn't have to spend any more time apart. With only a few months to plan I was all over vendors, etc. Shari Drace, the wedding coordinator at the Double Tree was awesome. We picked the Double Tree because it had a sentimental value to the two of us not knowing this would be one of the best decisions we made for our special day. See the reception wasn't just a time for us to celebrate our marriage with everyone it was to also say goodbye to all of our family and friends as we were relocating within several days to Texas. Shari's personality and services through out this time were fantastic and she always made time to really understand what we wanted and us as a couple. This in turn showed the night of our reception. She nailed it head on and more! The Chef cooked all our picks to perfection and I wouldnt have changed a thing! The waiters/waitresses carried both mine and my husbands plate as we chose what we would like to eat and even walked it back to the table for us along with saving some passed hour dervs we had missed within the first hour. The cleanleness and professional atmosphere made it that much better. The table arrangements, room set up, and extras in which my husband and I had chosen to do for the night were done just as discussed. I didn't have to worry or stress about a thing and I loved it! They even took the time to save us both an extra piece of cake and sent it to our room for later along with their own personal touches. At the end of the night they helped us gather anything outside of their decor and helped us pack it up along with delivering it all to our room with our gifts, etc. Our family and friends had a blast! They talked about how nice the service was, how awesome the food was, and how much fun they had. My husband and I both agree hands down that if we got to re-live that special day all over again the Double Tree and Shari Drace would be our reception pick yet again. ay is about you. The execution of the wedding day is exactly how we wanted it to be. No problems at all, and I think that is a big compliment to the Doubltree. Everybody was pleased with the set up, and raved about how good the food was. You'll not be sorry if you choose to have your wedding, or any other event here. We were happy with them, and have alreay suggested to other friends to have their wedding there, and they're getting married there next year.
