We met Kendra at a wedding trade show, not sure at that point if we really wanted or needed a wedding planner but it turned out to be the best decision in our wedding process. We h...
ad a black tie optional event for around 150 people and selected the church/venue and many of the vendors ourselves but as we got closer to the actual day Kendra was able to anticipate and proactively help solve so many issues and offer great advice on the millions of decisions. And she was a superstar on the actual wedding day. Kendra is organized and thoughtful and kind - an invaluable resource for any bride and groom!
Kendra and her team with Dovely Event Planning did a spectacular job with our wedding at Stone Tower Winery! She was calm, collected, organized, and kind throughout the whole plann...
ing process, as well as on wedding day, and her associate coordinators were reflections of the same energy.
We had a wedding with a higher guest count, almost 200 people. Despite this, the day went by with ease, and left us feeling happy and relaxed at the end of the night. Kendra was clear with us from the start what to expect in terms of our multiple meetings with her and the role that she would play on wedding day. She managed the things that no bride, groom, or family should have to manage on such an important day. She took on everything from managing decor, vendors, packing up, flow of ceremony, and taking care of small mishaps. With any large scale event, there are bound to be small complications (for us, our seating chart was incorrect! My fault, not any vendors). Kendra stomped out these fires with ease, and without us even knowing. We heard from multiple members of our wedding party, family, and guests, that our coordinator did an amazing job, and we couldn't agree more.
Wedding planning is a confusing and overwhelming process, but Kendra helped us to identify next steps, delegate tasks to herself and to us, and make our wedding day the best day ever! The software she utilizes was also a huge help. It helped to manage our RSVPs, seating chart, comprehensive to-do list, and general FAQs for wedding planning (what to pack, how much to tip, how much alcohol to buy).
Overall would 10/10 recommend planning your wedding (or other events) with Dovely Event Planning! Thank you, Kendra, for being part of our very special day!
My now wife and I got engaged in 2022. We knew we wanted a wedding, but had no idea where to start! Luckily, we found Kendra with Dovely Event Planning. We opted for the "Full Plan...
ning" package, because we wanted her with us every step of the way!
Kendra was fantastic. She was with us for every step of planning. From multiple in-person venue tours to virtual meetings with vendors, Kendra attended every single one and provided all of the guidance we needed to plan our perfect day.
By the time wedding day came around in 2024, we felt very well prepared! And Kendra was there as well, telling us and our wedding party where to be, and helping us stick to our timeline that she put together for us. Our evening went off without a hitch!
I cannot recommend Dovely Event Planning enough. Whether you need full planning, or only some assistance, they will guide you through it all!

ly and right on schedule. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was nothing short of perfect, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her dedication. We were planning our wedding from out of state, but Kendra made it easy and stress free by offering guidance every step of the way. We wholeheartedly recommend Kendra and her team!

e all of our ideas while letting myself step out of the production role and into the bridal role was huge. I was highly concerned about handing over the reins of something I'd worked so hard on, especially being that is was a destination event and I was unfamiliar with the area, but Kendra was the absolute perfect match. Chiming in with great ideas and advice to help tweak our plans, and helping keep us on schedule throughout the planning and execution. She followed all of our wishes to a T, and was an absolute delight to work with. It is evident that she thrives under pressure and someone with her skill set and calm nature is exactly who you need supporting you on one of the craziest and most stressful days of your life.

bsite where we could manage our timelines, seating charts, guests RSVPS, vendor information, notes, inspiration photos, and more; like a Google Drive designed for wedding planning! Kendra was incredible- from helping us organize our thoughts, to keeping us on schedule, to reassuring us and working with our vision, to managing conversations with some not-so-responsive vendors, to running the day and making sure things happened the way they needed to. She was absolutely essential to making our dreams come true. Debbie was an assistant the day of and was also wonderful and a joy to work with!
Kendra went above and beyond every step of the way, and her calming energy was very appreciated, both leading up to and on the day of the wedding. All of our people who helped us with setup agreed with us that Kendra did a fantastic job. Our guests commented on how everything flowed so well and the whole wedding felt so connected. They didn’t even notice that we had a day-of coordinator until Kendra handed out our sparklers! We would recommend Kendra over and over again. We wish we could give her all the stars! 100000/10.

rocess was too big for Kendra and I always knew she was doing everything in her power to smooth out any bumps in the road. She kept us on top of our deadlines and within our budget with our regular meetings and was always available and responsive in between meetings. The online platform that she uses conveniently housed all of our wedding details and she kept it updated.
Our wedding day itself was a dream come true! We had rain but still didn't miss a beat. Kendra handled all of the colorful personalities of our 20+ person wedding party with grace and everyone is still raving about how beautiful the day was 1 month later.
Above all, she was just a joy to work with! I would highly recommend Kendra to ANYONE! We live in NYC and got married in Jamaica but the distance didn't affect the quality of her planning services one bit.
We were looking for a day-of coordinator and got 1,000,000 times more in Kendra! She was affirming, professional, easy-going, and just a sweet and positive guiding presence in our ...
planning of our semi-DIY wedding in DC. She helped us better articulate our needs and vision before our catering/rental appointment, gave us lots of guidance and tools to allow us to plan the things we affirmatively wanted to plan, found us a great florist within our budget, as well as a last-minute makeup artist, worked with us to assemble our DIY chuppah, lent us decorative items to use, and overall ensured our big day ran perfectly smoothly! We would HIGHLY recommend Kendra to any friend or family member looking for a coordinator in the DMV area.

ice to plan your wedding. Kendra is responsive, quick, and efficient. She knows the items to get done, so you will not have to stress about remembering everything. She has extra supplies from previous weddings she is willing to loan. On the day of the wedding, Kendra spent time with us at the bridal party and husband wife photos, demonstrating that she focuses on the bride and groom. She was attentive to the schedule change and made sure we (bride and groom) had enough to eat and drink upon arriving. She even dressed in the color theme. She is also willing to make last minute changes. Kendra completely took the stress off the wedding day and I was able to fully enjoy it. Everything ran smoothly and just as planned. Not a thing could have gone better.

e. She made my wedding day flawless and my experience stress free. Even when vendors were tricky to get a hold of, I did not have to worry at all because she handled everything. This made my day amazing and was well worth it! Outside of this, she had a bag of things prepared for the wedding day and had so many sweet touches! A lot of wedding planners I have talked to overwhelmed me, but Kendra did an excellent job at listening and doin huge pieces necessary to make my dreams come true on the back end! This created the ideal situation for me. I can’t recommend Kendra enough!

She took on all the heavy lifting, which meant my wife and I could breathe easy and really concentrate on what mattered most - each other, and celebrating with our family and friends. Kendra has a very cool and calm personality and she handles everything so easy, things were always under control.
