There was some major family drama going on in the background and all of our meetings with Gretchen ran late, but she remained professional and supportive every step of the way. Her rates are competitive and she was highly responsive/easy to reach and communicate with. She had us develop a very detailed itinerary with her - if you have any questions about anything just be sure to ask, every detail matters -we had some confusion about what "two front rows" meant for ceremony seating, which resulted in all the groomsmen getting real cozy sitting in one front pew together, lol.

She was truly our life line throughout the two years we were in limbo of Covid wedding planning. There are so many instances where I appreciated her offering her expert opinion when I needed it most - no question was too big or too small, she really knows what she's doing! Beyond her expertise, she is kind and so much fun, so she let's you enjoy it all. My guests told me that it was the most fun and organized wedding they had ever been to! All thanks to Gretchen. Plus, we had Dragonfly Events & Design do our flowers/decor and I was blown away by all she did. We did not stop hearing about how beautiful everything was from our guests. Gretchen was super helpful throughout the entire process and introduced us to most of our vendors who did an absolute A+ job. Her value really came to light on our actual wedding day. Every detail, from beginning to end, seemed to flow seamlessly and it was obvious that her and her assistant Jessie were working hard throughout to make sure my vision came to light. I had the wedding of my dreams and my groom and I were able to relax and celebrate with our friends without worrying about any of the details.

f, some of the colors were incorrect. Gretchen also made decisions without consulting us (day of) which we did not appreciate it, although things were hectic due to rain. Multiple promises were made that were not followed through, probably due to not having enough staff to host so many people. Despite the numerous things that did not go as planned, Gretchen still helped to make our wedding day the best day ever! We forgot to bring bistro lights for our exit, and Gretchen managed to pull together a great exit from nothing! There was definitely a learning curve for a wedding this size, and I think with more staff in the future, Dragonfly Events could handle a large wedding more seamlessly.

h Gretchen and immediately felt at ease. We ended up bringing Gretchen and her team on for Partial Planning and it was the best decision! From the first phone call until the last minute of the wedding reception, Gretchen was reassuring and confident; she encouraged my input while still taking charge and directing the process. She went above and beyond to bring our vision to life (while respecting our budget) and on our wedding day, managed a "crisis" with my dress like a complete pro! Her assistants were also experienced, kind and professional. The day before the wedding, I needed some reassurance to calm my nerves. Gretchen took time she didn't have to take to talk with me, walk me through a checklist and helped me relax and enjoy the "last" 48 hours. I remember thinking that THIS is the type of wedding planner you see in the movies. :) The only thing I would have done differently is hired Gretchen from the very beginning for full planning. You couldn't ask for a better wedding planner!

She made her self available via email and phone way before the month of my wedding, she put me at ease when I felt overwhelmed from the planning, and most of all she took action on our wedding day that made it go smooth, seamless, and without a hitch for my husband and I. She's a perfectionist, a true organized planner, and delivers/executes as promised. She was there early and left when pretty much it was all done and over with. Was able to move to plan B (outdoor ceremony moved indoors) assuring me things would still be just as I had ever wished for and it was beyond my expectations! We were definitely blessed with the wedding dream team on our special day.

few months prior, so I called her up and her month of planning was exactly what I needed. She met with me to go over my vision for the wedding and the items I had already put together...I am extremely picky, but she was a great sounding board for ideas that I wasn't quite sure about and even helped me search for the perfect linens to fit in with that vision. Not only did she help with coordinating all of the vendors in the month before the wedding, but she also did my floral arrangements, which turned out even more beautiful than I had imagined. Her day-of coordination is something that no bride should go without. My wedding was at Morais Vineyards, which was an absolutely gorgeous venue, but like a lot of venues, they don't allow you to setup decorations or leave anything the night before. Gretchen and her crew were able to pull together all of my pintrest-inspired creations and get the place looking fantastic all within the few short hours that we had available before the ceremony. Thanks to Gretchen, I had not a care in the world on my wedding day. There were a few snafus, like the caterer not bringing mixers or our shuttle service breaking down, causing the wedding to be delayed an hour, but Gretchen took care of each of those items and I didn't even know anything had happened until after the ceremony was over. Gretchen is definitely fantastic and I would recommend her for both wedding planning and floral decor in a heartbeat.
