Where do I begin with Frank, Kat, and the entire team at Dramatic Hall? The reception that we had on May 14th, 2022 was one of the most flawless events I've ever seen put on. We had a group of 130ish people for a cocktail style reception and the guests will not stop talking about how good of a time they had. If you are looking for a unique space that needs very minimal (if any) additions to stand out, this is the place for you. My partner and I are music junkies and the "concert hall" vibe was so very us. We wanted more mobility so we opted for minimal assigned seats and I think the space really lends itself to giving your guests the options to move around, there are so many nooks to hang out in. Frank as a planner is 1000% on top of and passionate about everything he does. He is supportive and I truly felt like I could make almost any request and he would try his best to make our vision come to life. He is responsive, trustworthy, and very very honest. He felt like family honestly for a lot of the process (side note: definitely use frank as your Day of service coordinator, no one knows that space better!) Kat and the catering team are awesome. We wanted an extended past apps/cocktail type reception and she was open and willing to work with us in every way. We had two food stations after the appetizers were done. Every single food item was delicious. We had so many wine options to choose from and many guests complimented the variety of options for both food and drink. THE STAFF- they are so so fun! If you bring the good time and the energy, they will match it. Overall, fabulous experience. Wish I had another event on the docket so we could party again with Dramatic Hall!

You know the saying, things are not always as they seem ! Well in the case of Dramatic Hall that is exactly how it is. I had heard about Dramatic Hall as I live close by to the venue in Cortlandt Manor , I looked it up online and it looked really nice . So when my daughter got engaged , I called and made an appt. I spoke to a gentlemen named Frank, we made a date to meet and he was so accommodating and respectful of my time. He offered to meet any date or time that worked for me. No set hours, whatever worked for me. From the outside on Main Street in Peekskill, Dramatic hall , is anything but that - no drama, no excitement, just a wonderful brick building that has a restaurant on the main floor. Frank met us downstairs and brought us in through a separate elevator / door to the venue. When the elevator doors opened and I stepped into the venue, I just gasped. The magnitude of drama, charm and just overall coolness laid out in front of me was unbelievable. All this in my neighborhood. I was in hook line and sinker. The venue is simply gorgeous; the wood work, the exposed iron, the sweeping stair case, so clean and it even has a stage!! With an amazing lighting board that created such a beautiful ambiance, breath taking - I knew this was the place I had 5 months to plan my daughter's party both Frank and Kathleen worked with me every single step of the way. Frank always helpful, always caring, he makes you feel like you are a part of his family and I felt like Frank was a part of mine. We had a spectacular food tasting. My future son in law is a chef. He sat with the House Chef and prepared a culinary feast . My daughter is vegan and they offered her so many options. My family being Italian loves to eat great food , and it was. The cocktail hour was amazing , so much fun ! And the music ? Frank suggested a DJ that they work with named Steve. Steve worked with my daughter and son in law and together they created a playlist that had every one dancing the entire night. We had an open bar and my daughter created speciality cocktails . they were fantastic. The wait staff , young , fun and so helpful. As you can tell I loved everything about Dramatic Hall, if I have to name any regret , well I regret, I do not have another daughter to throw another party there. Thank you Frank for an amazing experience & wonderful venue!!!

Everything couldn't have been more perfect. From the beautiful venue, to the staff that worked their butts off for us, everything was truly a wonderful experience. Kathleen provided us and our guests with the greatest food we've ever had at wedding. And for the love of everything holy, please use Frank for the day of service go to man. He's unbelievable. Would recommend this venue to anyone. Loved it!

Best Bat Mitzvah ever! We just held our daughters Bat Mitzvah at Dramatic Hall and everything was perfect. Frank is an amazing host, who pays attention to detail, so flexible and just an awesome person to work with. Kathleen the caterer and her staff were amazing. She was also tremendously flexible with her options and prepared an amazing evening of food, drinks and desert. The venue was the perfect place to hold this major milestone event in our lives, it was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for anything more.

Best Wedding EVER!! I can't even begin to explain how wonderful of a venue/team they have at Dramatic Hall. First we'll start with the location...nothing short of stunning! When you see the grand staircases. the brick and iron work, just breathtaking. If you're looking for a unique venue this is your place. You will definitely get the wow factor you're looking for. The real shining star(s) of this venue is the staff. Kat and Gabe are wonderful people who will be sure to aid in your catering questions. The food was out of this world. We received compliments all evening raving about the food. Kat and Gabe will build your menu around what's in season so you know you're getting the highest quality and richest flavor. And then there's Frank. Frank is without a doubt the most wonderful human on Earth. Frank took our ideas and made sense of them and turned that vision into reality. He's so organized and task focused, having him work with you just takes all the stress of planning away. Having him there the day of the wedding, knowing he had control of everything and kept the flow going made it easy to just enjoy our night. I have never had so much fun at a wedding. I had family members coming to me during our reception to tell me how wonderful he is. I can't say enough good things about this venue and the staff. I think if you want something a little less traditional, but still want a wow factor...this is your place. You will not be disappointed.

I don’t even know where to begin... I first discovered the venue while having lunch with a friend at Kurzhauls coffee house. I knew from that moment I wanted to have my wedding here! My wedding night was amazing, I wish I could go back & relive it because it was so much fun. First the dramatic hall is a beautiful... jaw dropping, unique wedding venue. So if your thinking of it please visit it because you’re going to fall in love.... literally. FRANK is absolutely phenomenal!!! He is the owner of the venue and was also our day of service ( no need for a wedding planner literally cause he is the real deal and will you save a ton $$$) I verbally told him my vision of how I wanted everything set up and he went above and beyond. Frank made our dreams come true! Our guest told us this was the best wedding they’ve attended! Numerous Complements on the venue, food and staff! Kat and Gabe owners of Kurzhauls (previous owners of iron vine) were the caterers. The food was to die for, they can cook they’re A$&’es off. I ate a full plate and double on the Hors d’oeuvres. The staff was warm, loving, fun and on point very...attentive! (you get the family vibe here.) I felt as if they were my family not just workers, while still remaining professional. I’m sooooooo grateful I got to experienced my wedding here that I’m sad it’s over! I would highly recommend Dramatic Hall, the delivery is on fire, on point and forever grateful I got to have my wedding here. THANK YOU for creating the wedding of my dreams. <3 Xoxo

We recently had our Goth Cabaret themed wedding at Dramatic Hall on 9/21/19. We chose the location not only for its beauty and historic character, but because we wanted to give our money to an inclusive community-friendly family-owned operation. It couldn’t have been a better decision. Frank is beyond spectacular. He felt like family from day one and was infinitely present, available and responsive to any question or comment and always full of great advice, but never pushy. His day-of service was invaluable and worth every single penny (and more, I told him to raise his rate!). He was available to receive decorations and flowers the week before and when I arrived for the rehearsal he had the entire space decorated per my instructions and awaiting my approval. He gently guided me through details I didn’t know existed. He led the rehearsal (and let’s be real it’s a lot of cat herding) like a champ. I never felt for a moment that he didn’t have everything under calm control and all of my guests noticed and adored him. On the catering side of things, Kathleen always remained a friendly, accommodating and adaptable face of the operation with quick responses, and Chef Gabe’s menu selections were at a luxurious standard, especially considering the large group we had (120 people for a seated service). At our tasting we were so blown away, my fiancé and I looked at eachother and said “our guests are so lucky!”. We had a few minor adjustments to the flavor of one dish and it came out far better than we expected. I have a good friend who is a top sommelier in NYC and she confirmed the wine selections were perfectly paired to be global crowd pleasers. The staff at the event were the friendliest group I’ve ever met, the guests even commented on it. Honestly I have absolutely ZERO complaints about my experience working with the Dramatic Hall family. If I could do it all over again I would do it exactly the same. If anything I’m sad we won’t be talking on a regular basis anymore. Love you guys!

This place was the perfect spot for our wedding. Frank is the most awesome and professional person to work with. He is so detail-oriented, organized, and made us feel so comfortable even when we had no idea what we were doing at times! The space looked amazing in the various lighting, the upstairs bar was a great social piece where so many of our guests bonded at, and the stage where we had our ceremony was perfect. Such a beautiful venue! We are so happy to have chosen this place for our wedding. Thank you to the Dramatic Hall staff for making this the absolute best wedding ever!!

A one of a kind, amazing venue and staff! We had our Sunday brunch wedding reception here last month. This was the first and ONLY venue we needed to look at. We were looking for a non traditional, unique and LGBT friendly space that didn't need a lot of decorating. Dramatic Hall is GORGEOUS and even more breathtaking in person. We did very minimal decorating which helped us stay on budget. Frank could not be more welcoming and accommodating. We ended up hiring him for Day of Service and it was the best decision we could have made. His attention to detail leading up to the wedding helped us feel more prepared for our reception and allowed us to have fun! Our guests are still talking about the food provided by their in house caterer Kathleen and Gabe Jr. .Many of our guests returned to Kurzhals Coffee and Iron and Vine for food that week! We went with some of our favorite brunch items from The Iron Vine: cornflake crusted french toast, burrito picante, breakfast sausage, quinoa salad and the list goes on! They provided multiple vegan and vegetarian options and were accommodating to our budget. Both Kathleen and Frank were incredibly responsive to any questions or requests. Their friendly and calm approach made us feel like we were in good hands every step of the way. The staff: servers, bartenders, and security were friendly, professional and responsive. We would recommend Dramatic Hall to anyone looking to have a fun, one of a kind wedding event!

We looked at many venues and nothing felt 100%. We walked in just a couple of weeks after the venue opened and immediately said yes. My guests could not believe this amazing find and couldn’t stop raving about this venue. Frank the venue manager was also our DOC and rocked it. He listened to all of my crazy and silly ideas. He’s a blessing and I had the best wedding day.

AMAZING!! I wish there were more stars so I could rate them higher!!! This was the first venue we looked at for our wedding, and it was also the ONLY ONE! As soon as we walked in we were so enthralled with the space and just knew that it was the right place for us. This venue is just absolutely incredible. It is so unique and special and unlike anything my husband, me, or our guests had ever seen before. My husband and I had a 1920's themed wedding, which the venue was perfect for! The weekend before us, DH held a goth wedding, and the weekend after our wedding they held a Parisian wedding. Although the space is so unique and seems like it would only fit a specific taste, the venue is actually extremely versatile and can just add so much life and beauty to any wedding! The space is absolutely fabulous! Also, I cannot sing enough praises for Kathleen and Frank, the venue coordinators. THEY. ARE. AMAZING. They are so incredibly organized and calm and PATIENT. In the weeks leading up to my wedding I would send Kathleen 5+ emails/texts/calls a day every day and she never once got irritated with me, and would also respond extremely quickly like within minutes! She was phenomenal. I couldn't have had my wedding without her. Frank was also incredible on the day of the wedding. He was so calm and collected and checked in with me periodically throughout the night asking my preferences on lighting and timing of things to make sure everything was exactly how I wanted (I know some brides don't want to be bothered with that kind of thing on their night but I was a very controlling bride so I asked that if he ever needed my input that he ask me at any time). The rest of the staff at DH was also just wonderful. They had smiles on their faces all night, they were so kind and very prompt and enthusiastic. The food was also sooo good. Other brides always told me "you will NOT eat at your wedding, trust me!" But oh boy did I eat! The food was so good that I made time to eat my entire dinner! However, I missed out on the cocktail hour appetizers due to pictures, but everyone raved about the apps! The staff and atmosphere of Dramatic Hall made my wedding the absolute best experience ever. I would recommend this venue to EVERYONE. Another thing that I really loved about DH and that I believe is worth noting is that it is a family business! Kathleen is married to Gabe (the chef), who is an immediate family member of Frank! This gives them such an edge because they work flawlessly as a team. I could go on forever about how amazing Dramatic Hall is. If you are on the fence about getting married here....I'm telling you..DO IT!!!!! You will NOT regret it!!!! :)

Our son and daughter-in-law just had their reception at Dramatic Hall at Peekskill Central Market. As anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows, successful events requires a thousand moving pieces lining up to create great memories: -sights, -sounds and -taste.... Visually, Dramatic Hall makes an immediate impact upon entering. No plain white vanilla box here! its intimate and warm and inviting. It also creates a great backdrop for beautiful pictures. The space itself, as the name suggests, very dramatic and requires little in the way of flourishes- good news for those who would rather spend their budget elsewhere. There is a stage in the hall , which often serves as a music venue, so the band was able to use the space to great sound effect. Another bonus as anyone who has been to an overly loud event can appreciate. As regards the thousand moving pieces aligning to ensure things go smoothly, Not enough can be said in praise of Frank Vazquez, the Day of service Professional at Dramatic Hall. He was the voice of calm during what could have been an anxious time, and kept things running smoothly from planning to the end of the reception. We were able to focus on and enjoy the evening knowing things were in his competent hands. As important was the fact the he invested the time in understanding the newlyweds vision of the feeling and look they hoped to create and delivered that vision to perfection. The team of service people who were there delivering food and drinks were equally wonderful Everyone had a great time, that will be long remembered and we are grateful to the team at Dramatic Hall who made that possible. Can't recommend highly enough based upon our experience.

We just had our wedding (ceremony and reception) at the Dramatic Hall on December 2. It was excellent! The venue is absolutely beautiful- especially when decorated for the holidays. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how lovely it was. Really, it doesn't even need a lot of extra decor (big centerpieces, florals, etc), which is helpful for those on a budget for those kinds of things. When we signed the contract, they did not have their own in house catering, but I believe they do now. We mainly worked with Frank, who was both charming and helpful. He was quick to respond to questions and was totally gracious when I asked stupid ones. Note: we had about 105 people at our wedding - 80 seated downstairs and the rest on the balcony level (where the bar is). I don't think we could have sat more than 80 on the first level without sacrificing the dance floor. There is, however, a stage that can provide more seating and ample room on the balcony for more people. I highly recommend checking out this place!
