My search for a wedding florist was really a blessing in disguise. I had started looking around with not much luck. About 4 months prior to my wedding, my grandfather passed away. My family chose Drayer's for all of the funeral flowers. The f...lowers they provided were absolutely gorgeous. After this, my grandmother suggested we go to their shop to discuss wedding flowers. I had the absolute best experience.
We set up a meeting and on that date Laura, the manager sat down with us and we talked about the details. To be honest, I really didn't care too much about the flowers. Obviously, I wanted them to be pretty but I couldn't rationalize spending the amount of money that most florists wanted. After we discussed the details we were taken to a separate building where all of the flowers were kept. Laura began creating several arrangements right in front of us. She went through so many options while always considering my budget. She had so many brilliant ideas, she showed me a faux calla lily that looked and felt so incredibly real. After we made our final decisions she wrote a proposal and sent me home with the fresh flowers she had used to make my mock arrangements.
My aunt, who worked at a green house at the time, said she couldn't believe the deal I had gotten on these flowers. During the weeks leading up to the wedding, the florist staff kept in contact to finalize all of the details. I even made a slight change to the contract, and was told it wasn't a big deal at all. They even gave me a complimentary "toss bouquet" so I wouldn't have to throw and ruin my own. On the wedding morning, the bouquets were delivered to the hotel and everything else went to the cathedral. All of the arrangements were absolutely stunning. The colors were so vibrant and everything was very fresh and well constructed. It was exactly what I wanted.
For me being someone who really didn't care about flowers, I loved these! I even had my bouquet preserved and I can't wait to get it back!
