Sonya was amazing coordinating our wedding day! She was organized, timely, and always available when we needed help. She was super quick to respond whenever we reached out. Our day would not have been as amazing as it was without her help. Thank you for everything, Sonya!

My husband and I were supposed to have a three day affair with pre-wedding events, two religious ceremonies --Hindu and Catholic -- and a brunch after all was said and done. Most of our guests were from out of town. We picked our vendors on our own and then realized we would need some help to make everything run smoothly. I am Trinidadian and Indian and my husband is Irish. We needed someone who could be attentive and make our families feel included. Sonya was a gem! THEN COVID HIT. We had to cancel our wedding, reschedule, and then cancel again. Finally, we realized we would have to host an event with just our immediate families. We did not want to sacrifice the quality or the celebration. Sonya helped us transform everything we envisioned to a more intimate space. She was communicative, present, and always one step ahead. She helped in ways that we did not even know we needed. She stepped in as a DJ, she worked with the caterers, the pundit, the decorator, the photographer --EVERYTHING. We just watched our wedding video and I can see myself mouthing "I'm so happy" over and over. If that doesn't say enough, I don't know what will! Hire Sonya!

We were referred to Sonya by our DJ group and we could not have been happier with our choice in wedding coordinator. Sonya has years of experience, a great personality, amazing work ethic and will take care of all of your wedding needs. She managed to handle our busy Indian wedding and knew about all of our customs and allowed for our day to go by without a hitch. She comes fully prepared with a kit for missing buttons or a medical emergency kit. Our family and friends love her and I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anybody. Rest assured you are in good hands with her.

My wife and I chose Sonya because I had previously work with her at a wedding before and she gets the job done!!! She works on a strict timeline, and makes sure your events go as smooth as possible. She met all of our exceptions and more!

Wow! Just wow!!!! When we first met Sonya, I never felt that such a connection to a person! She made me feel like I’ve known her my whole life. She made planning our wedding so easy and organized. She went above and beyond, and even came in clutch in last minute adjustments. 1,000/10 recommend!

WARNING: DO NOT TRUST SONYA I hired Sonya in May 2020 as a full-time planner to help me plan a wedding for Aug 2022. I worked with Sonya for 4 months before I terminated the contract. In the 4 months, Sonya did not do anything except e-mail some venue options. I found Sonya to be highly unprofessional and dishonest. Sonya does not communicate and kept making excuses for not being able to accomplish any tasks. I got frustrated with her lack of progress and started planning my own wedding. It took me only 3 weeks to tour multiple venues and book one. Sonya would send me venue options via e-mail but never followed up or scheduled tours. She blamed the venues and claimed they were not responding to her. Weeks would go by and I would hear nothing from her. I checked up on her every 2-3 weeks to even get any information. After 3 months, she calls me saying she found a venue. She tells me it is within my budget and allows outside catering. She askes me to send me my availability to schedule a in-person tour. I send her my schedule and don’t hear anything back. Two weeks later I call her and ask what happened. She again makes excuses that the venue isn’t responding, etc. A few days later she e-mails me a contract for the venue with no information except the attached contract. The contract did NOT match anything Sonya told me over the phone. It was double the cost and did not allow for outside catering. I asked Sonya and she said it was just an “example” of a contract for me to see (what?) and that she will work it out with the vendor. Guess what? Never heard from Sonya again about this venue. We communicated to Sonya about our concerns with her work she never addressed them. I got frustrated and decided to contact venues on my own. In two weeks, I set MULTIPLE in-person venue tours and within 3 weeks I secured a venue that was within my budget and had flexible catering options. I fired Sonya after that. I did not have any issues contacting venues or hearing back from them. Sonya was being dishonest. I asked her to refund my deposit and she has not. I have filed a formal complaint to the BBB. Because of Sonya wasting 4 months, I was not able to secure the date I wanted. TLDR – Sonya took our deposit and accomplished nothing for 4 months. She barely communicated and she did, it was constant empty excuses and lies. She has refused to refund us. Because of her negligence I was not able to get the date I wanted at my venue.

Sonya was amazing for our May 22, 2021 wedding! She thought of things that didn’t cross our mind. She helped us with vendors when we were in a bind. She understood our vision for the wedding weekend and we trusted her with the rest! She understood what elements were important to us and she focused on that, but didn’t let other aspects go unnoticed. My husband and I used Dream Events by Sonya for coordinating and decor and we are so glad we did!

Sonya is an amazing wedding planner and our wedding would not have happened without her! She very thoughtful, extremely organized, and fun to be around. Our wedding planning started pre-pandemic but as 2020 progressed, she helped us navigate complicated logistics including state mandated restrictions for both the ceremony and reception. She can help with anything, including finding a last minute officiant (herself) and we contracted her for all the floral and decor. She also seems to have a lot of great relationships with wedding vendors in the Chicagoland area. This was very helpful in coordinating efforts among different groups of people. We would highly recommend Sonya to anyone else getting married. Sonya made our wedding dreams come true!

We used Sonya as our wedding planner and she did not disappoint! We initially planned for a fall 2019 wedding, which changed to summer 2020, which changed to fall 2020 (COVID) - and she was there and supportive every step of the way. That in itself tells you all you need to know. With Sonya you get not only a wedding planner, but a friend. She helped me curate my outfits, and now I want to hire her as my fashion consultant! Our wedding turned out to be absolutely beautiful, and we are forever grateful for the time and energy Sonya put into it all.

We are so grateful we went with Sonya for our event planner. She is truly your one stop shop. You can count on her for anything, she cares so much, will work so hard, roll with the punches, and come out on top. We hired as a full planner for an October 2019 wedding, but it felt to soon from when we started planning, so we pushed back to June 2020. Then COVID struck. Sonya had already worked so hard to bring our vision to life for our June wedding, but we had scrap the original plan and start over. She shone with the planning for the June event. She knows Indian weddings really well, is connected with the vendors, and can easily handle large events. But I don’t think I fully understood how deep her talent and client commitment was until we had to re-plan. From being our planner, her company became our planner, our decorator, our baraat DJ, our legal counsel, and our florist. I had a fairly specific Indian wedding in mind, and she made it one of a kind and literally took my imagination and made it more real than I thought possible. This wedding took place in our backyard and I never would have thought a backyard wedding could be so fun, beautiful and cherished deeply by everyone in attendance. Throughout the entire day, every single thing went off without a hitch. Every single thing. Guests had such a great time, and said similarly that the event was beautiful and so well planned. A reason I went with Sonya in the first place is because of the connection. I wanted to work with someone who felt like a friend. Even when things got tough, emotions got a little heated from the stress of re-planning or conflicting family preferences, I knew I could call her and she could be the right kind of soundboard for gaining clarity. The process of replanning made me more sure than ever that Dream Events by Sonya is the right company for anyone, whether it’s a large or small wedding, she will handle it expertly and with a smile on her face the entire time! Just have a vision in mind, and I can guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised by what she can do 😊

Working with Sonya was the best! We hired Sonya for our florals/decor, but she went above and beyond and helped us make the day go by so smoothly. Our entire experience with Sonya, and especially our wedding and reception was simply amazing. My husband Mark and I can’t stop talking about it. We feel like a lot of couples walk away from their weddings with at least one horror story of something that went wrong or that just wasn’t right, some have several stories....we don’t have a single one!!! We are so happy, content, in love, etc etc etc. We originally hired Sonya to plan our destination wedding in Jamaica, however, Covid had other plans for us and we ultimately married in Chicago with a micro-wedding. It was more than anything we ever imagined and all of the feedback from our guests has been super positive from everything from the ceremony to the cocktail hour, to the DJ, etc...I mean there is nothing that she didn’t take care or for us and everything that she touched turned to gold!! We are still having our wedding reception in Jamaica same time next year and we are absolutely bringing Sonya along! Let me also add that she is more than just a wedding planner to me, Sonya has become my friend. Sonya was officially our "month of" coordinator but she truly did way more than what you would think that title entails. She was with us throughout the entire planning process, attending meetings and working out logistics from the beginning. She helped us stay organized from day one. She is so passionate, hard-working, and detail oriented! On my actual wedding day she double checked everything herself to make sure it was all exactly how I envisioned it. She has a lot of knowledge and experience with large Indian weddings and miraculously she made sure that all of our several hundred guests were in the right place at the right time. As a bride, it was such a relief that I did not have to coordinate with a single vendor in the days and weeks before my wedding, Sonya had it all handled. Honestly, I'm not even sure what all exactly she did to keep everything running so smoothly, because her goal is to keep the couple stress-free. I'm so so grateful and thankful for her and all that she did, no words will ever be enough!

My fiance and I hired Sonya as our day-of coordinator and it was easily one of the best decisions we made throughout our wedding planning process! My now husband and I selected each of our vendors based on their passion and dedication to their work and it was equally important for us to see our vision carried out on the day of our events without any hiccups. We met with Sonya and we instantly connected with her and knew that she would treat our special day as her own. She frequently reminded us that we are the bride and groom and needed to focus on just that! Sonya was wonderful to work with from start to finish, she went above and beyond what I had expected to make sure every last detail was as close to perfect as possible. She is knowledgeable, experienced and took the time to understand our style, vision and budget. I was anxious about being able to pull off an Indian wedding within 4 months given all the events and traditions but Sonya made me feel confident that it could be done. She was easy to communicate with and helped keep my nerves at bay throughout the planning process, always available for a phone call to discuss pretty much anything! We had some last minute twists when a thunderstorm rolled in on the wedding day but she managed the transition to our indoor backup plan seamlessly. I hired Sonya for my month before/day of coordinator and she was simply amazing! She was very attentive throughout the entire process and I couldn't be more grateful. She was on top of everything and made the last minute crunch time much less stressful! And on the day of, she was AMAZING. Our families, my husband, and I were able to enjoy the day with no worries at all. Let me save you some time. If you want to have the wedding of your dreams, hire Sonya before anyone else! From the second we met Sonya, she literally went above and beyond in meeting every expectation and ensuring that we get everything we wanted for our big day. From being an expert planner, sounding board for ideas and vendors, decorator and the best day of planner we could ask for, I can safely say that she was single handedly the best decision we made. And the best part was that she made it feel effortless, and truly like she was a part of our family that wanted the best for us. So don’t hesitate. I cannot recommend Sonya enough!!

I met Sonya at a wedding expo almost 9-10 months before our wedding date (8/2/19). After having that one conversation with Sonya, I just knew she was the wedding planner I was looking for. She is so passionate about her work and puts her heart and soul into making sure your day is above and beyond perfect. I could not have survived without her!!!! She is more than perfect and efficient at what she does. She was one text/one call away if I EVER needed anything! She had solutions to all my problems. She was available to talk to me whenever I needed her. She was always ahead of my thinking and made thing happen before I could even get to her about it. She is very particular about time and for an Indian wedding that is very important. All of our rituals and events took place in a timely manner and I could not be more happier about that. She is very attentive about the little details and that truly helped me be a little less stressed out the wedding. She took care of coordinating with all our vendors and just made sure we had everything we needed for our big day! I seriously could not have asked for anyone better than SONYA because there isn't anyone like her!!! She is one of a kind and a good one....she became my close friend in such a short period of time :)

A week after the wedding and I am still blown away by the work Sonya and her team did. I would trust them with raising my first born. They were efficient, knowledgeable, decisive, and always two steps ahead of what I needed before and throughout the wedding. I had never given a wedding much thought before I got engaged and had a lot of parts of the wedding I had no idea what to do on; Sonya always gave firm, well thought out advice, and picked up on my style and preferences early so she was never suggesting something I didn't like. She was also very cognizant of my budget which I really appreciated.

I am so glad we hired Sonya for our wedding! We had a large Indian wedding with many moving parts and small details that were important to us, and Sonya took the time to execute and make sure all items were taken care of! She is very organized and helpful, and knows how to get things done. She always answered random questions of mine over text and even did the beautiful floral bouquets for me and my sister-in-law. Sonya is very talented and a wonderful wedding coordinator. Would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone planning a wedding! She will make your life soo much easier, trust me! I was hesitate to hire a coordinator since I thought our families could handle it but I AM SO GLAD I DID!

Hiring Sonya for my wedding (7/13/19) was the single best decision I made during our wedding planning process. I took a chance and found her based on the reviews on Yelp, and I’m so glad I did. From start to finish, she listened and delivered on everything that we wanted to happen in our downtown Chicago wedding. She is super experienced with large weddings (ours was <200 people), so I was confident right away that she could take care of our wedding. She has great taste and I trusted her opinion on most things related to design, layout, etc and all of those things came out fabulous. I work full time and was not able to correspond with many of the vendors as much as I wanted, but she was there to make sure all communication was solid between everyone. She told me she really doesn’t start “working” on a wedding until a month beforehand, but she was preparing things for my wedding months beforehand. There are so many moving parts to any wedding/reception, and she/her team made everything flow flawlessly. If there was anything that went wrong, I definitely had no idea (which is the perfect situation for any bride). I was able to truly enjoy the whole day of my wedding which was priceless for me! Sonya is so talented and SO good at what she does, she always made herself available to me (responds in a crazy quick time, even late at night) which is so appreciated. I felt like the amount of money I paid to hire her paled in comparison to the amount of work and time she put in to my wedding (other planners that do similar work charge at least double!). THANK YOU so much again Sonya + team, you were a HUGE part in creating the best day of our lives!!

I reached out to Sonya about 7 months before my wedding. I had hired the majority of my vendors, and initially didn’t think I needed a planner or coordinator and honestly didn’t want to spend the extra money for it. As the wedding began to come closer and our families expectations were high I began feeling overwhelmed by how things would come together during our wedding weekend in June 2019. My husband and I had a multiple day interfaith wedding. With so much on my shoulders, I decided to go for it and reached out to a few coordinators who had worked on south Asian weddings. We ended up hiring Sonya as our day of coordinator, but she was honestly so much more then that. When we did our initial meeting, I was so impressed by her attention to detail, the fact that she’d worked with the majority of my vendors, understood what I was looking for, and just had a great response time. I never once felt, she went MIA on me or took more then a few hours to get back to me, and when your stress level is high, people don’t realize how invaluable this quality is. I ended up paying her deposit the same night. She really put me at ease throughout the months and during my wedding. Hiring Sonya was the best decision we made. She’s just a lovely person, but has the bark to get the job done, when vendors aren’t on top of their game. Thank you for making our event amazing. Side note, my brother in law got married two weeks after us, and my father in law mentioned how great Sonya was compared to their full on wedding planner, who costed a lot more and is well known in the south Asian wedding industry business. The value and service Sonya gave us could not be beat! She is truly one of the best!!

When my then fiancé and I interviewed Sonya to be our wedding planner, we had already completed some of the groundwork. My pretty bride, however, was not the type that glossed over wedding magazines dreaming of the perfect wedding since she was 10 years old. Moreover, we were trying to finish in 2 months what most couples plan in a year. We knew that we would need help. We had just posted online and Sonya was the first to respond and, fortunately, her office was close to the venue we had just finished visiting. From the very first meeting, we were impressed with how she proactively took us through the steps she would take to bring the wedding planning to a successful finish. We interviewed several others afterwards. Sonya, however, would be the high bar that all other planners had to clear. As we interviewed one candidate after another, we came to the same conclusion after each meeting – they just didn’t measure up to Sonya. The others just did not give us the same level of confidence that no detail would be overlooked. She also projected the grit and assertiveness to handle any vendor that might step out of line – like a pit bull with a pretty face. We could not have made a better choice. Sonya stood by us every step of the way. Dress fitting, meal tasting, cake tasting, meeting with pastor, vendor interviews, rehearsal – she was there for it all! One Sunday, she was with us from morning to evening as we dashed from one meeting to the next. We introduced her to everybody as our 4-star general - but she more than earned that 5th star in the end. Like a well-seasoned military general commanding their forces, she managed our vendors, our venue, and our wedding party. She even helped us keep in budget by arranging our boutonnieres for less than what a florist would charge. Now, with a heavy-weight like Sonya in our corner everything must have been smooth sailing and gone off without a hitch, right?? If only! 2PM the day before the wedding, just as I’m leaving the barber with a fresh cut and feeling pretty good about everything, I get the most dreaded text from our pastor. He prefaced the text with “I don’t want to add any more stress on you” and proceeded to let me know he would be unable to officiate the wedding. Needless to say, I was very very stressed. I conveyed the news to my fiancé who was certain I was joking at first. There were a lot of quick calls with Sonya and our family as we scrambled to pull together a Plan B. God’s favor was certainly shining on us that day, however, as we didn’t have far to look. Sonya had just recently received her license to officiate weddings. How many planners have that in their emergency kit!?! We tried a last-ditch effort to re-arrange the ceremony to use our original officiant but at 6am on the morn of our wedding, I had to make the call. Me: “Good morning, General. Do you think we can still fall back on Plan B?” Sonya: “Not a problem. Whatever you want.” After another call to my cousin, an elder in his church, it was set. He and Sonya would tag team: he would perform the ceremonial parts and Sonya would perform the official parts. My wife and I could never forget Sonya even if we wanted to – she was the one that married us! No one outside our wedding party had any clue to the crises that was narrowly averted. To say that Sonya went above and beyond the expectations of a wedding planner would be the understatement of a lifetime. We are forever grateful and could not recommend her highly enough.

Let me tell you I didn't even get a chance to work with Sonya cause someone contacted for the same date before but she literally talked to me for an almost an hour or more just the initial phone conversation. she's super responsive and reliable, I was going to have an Indian wedding and first was contemplating signing with her but after talking to countless planners she stood out the most! Why you need to book her is cause she literally went out of her way to find a good referral for me because she couldn't be my planner and I was looking like crazy and just stressed out, she literally went out of her way to find me good referrals, without us working together, like come on, THIS IS A NO BRAINER FOR ANYONE who is even having a Indian wedding and still contemplating if you should book her, do yourself a favor and DO IT! She knows so many vendors the amount referrals she gave me was insane all India btw, which I was super impressed by! I heard from other vendors that she is nice to work with. Super empathetic. The amount of help she was without me even working with her I can only imagine how easy my life would have been working with her if I had her as my planner! She super good and get signed so book her fast!!

Sonya provided the decor for our wedding at the Carleton of Oak Park. She did an amazing job making the place look beautiful and working within our budget. We had an issue with my husband's boutonniere breaking during our pictures and she came back with not only a replacement flower but extras in case anything else happens. She was a pleasure to work with!

Sonya did such a great job that by the end of the wedding she had helped me not just make an amazing memory, but she also became an amazing friend. Both at the ceremony and the reception her work was fantastic. I received so many compliments on how everything looked, and trust me, it was all Sonya’s doing! I would give her 100 stars if at all possible!! Thank you Sonya!

Sonya did an amazing job. She made our special day even more amazing than I could have thought. Honestly she would have been a bargain if she charged twice as much. After the wedding I got so many compliments on the venue decoration, and it was all Sonya. I honestly cannot recommend her enough, she just blew me away.

I cannot say enough positive things about Sonya. From the start of our conversations, she was fantastic to work with. She was the day of planner for my wedding, but we felt like she was so much more. If I was worried about anything at all the month before the wedding, she would take it off my plate like getting all the vendors organized, creating timeline cards for our guests, designing and printing place cards, bringing baskets for us to borrow for various events, or creating my bridal bouquet to list a few. During the wedding weekend, if there were things that went wrong, I didn't have a clue because she handled it so well. Everyone from my family to friends asked me where and how did you find her? She's amazing! She always told me if I would ask how is this going or how is that going, "Can you just be a bride?" Lol. I would hire her without a blink for any future events and would recommend her to anyone who needs an organized, enthusiastic, dedicated, fun, and trustworthy wedding planner. I absolutely LOVE Sonya! I'm sad that this wedding planning is over and we won't be working with her anymore. She went completely above and beyond for my husband and I. She made sure that everything was absolutely perfect the day of and the days leading up to the wedding. I honestly do not know how we would have survived that day without her. She made the process stress free for my husband and I so that we were able to enjoy being a bride and groom ;) Everything was amazing and we owe it all to her!

I don't know WHAT my husband and I would have done without Sonya! She made every step of the process run smoothly. Sonya took my vision and ran with it for my August wedding at the Armour House. She was so helpful when it came to literally everything- she was always one text away to answer questions or help me pick out invitations/flowers/rearrange guest lists/etc. She also accompanied me on every appt we had with vendors. I love Soya! From start to finish she was AMAZING! From the first time I met her I was treated like a friend of hers. We started off with a consultation, so that we would both be on the same page when it came to colors, sizes , types of flowers, decor etc.. From there she knew exactly what I was going for and nailed it. My bridal bouquet was stunning, I was absolutely in love with my bridesmaids bouquets! and flower girls headpieces. Sonya was a pleasure to work with and I definitely will be recommending her to everyone! I seriously can not thank her enough!

My husband I got married at the Drake Hotel on 8/4/18 and are so thankful we hired Sonya for our day-of planner! She is truly living out her passion - you can tell she loves what she does, because she dedicates so much time to making her events absolutely perfect! She was always very responsive to my constant questions, and gave me so much valuable advice. One thing I will always remember is my mehndi party. She brought a ton of decor (which was not part of her contract at all), and helped my mom and her friends decorate and plan the mehndi. It was perfect!! My daughter hired Sonya for her wedding and it was one of the best decisions she made! Sonya is smart, professional, efficient, and a genuinely lovely person. Her knowledge, creativity, and tireless energy helped us through all problems that arose along the way. To have Sonya handle the day of details made everything go smoothly. As mother of the bride, I had no worries - she was there from early morning to end of wedding, kept us on schedule (her very detailed schedule) and handled anything that arose. I highly recommend Sonya for any event - she is absolutely amazing and because of her efforts, the wedding was fabulous for us!

If you are deciding whether to hire Sonya or not, you NEED to hire her as your planner. She was our month of planner for our wedding and I cannot express in enough words how great she is. She was there for me and helped with anything that I needed. She came to my dress fitting and took care of our florist when there was a slight issue. I am so grateful to have had her, she helped de-stress me leading up to the wedding and helped make it absolutely perfect! My whole family and all my friends just kept saying "We need Sonya at our wedding!" I can't express enough how wonderful she was! You will not be disappointed, she really is the best!

Words cannot express our gratitude for Sonya. Over the past few months, Sonya became another member of our family. She truly made our wedding into a fairytale come to life. We gave her our ideas and she executed them to an extent that we could not have even dreamt. It was absolutely the perfect wedding because of her. While we only hired Sonya for day of coordination, she helped us throughout the entire process. She was involved in every detail — from tastings to table seating. She is thorough, detail-oriented and best of all has the biggest heart. She works within your budget and tries to help you save wherever she can, often using her own materials. She decorated our mehndi event, made our garlands, met with all of our vendors, the list goes on and on…All of our vendors raved about her as well! There is just so much more to say about this amazing woman but I hope that every bride has a planner like Sonya because she will literally make your dreams come true. I wish Sonya could coordinate the rest of my life for me because she truly is that good!!!

Hands down, Sonya was the best decision we made for our wedding. We hired Sonya to be our day of coordinator and florist. It's hard for me to even know where to start this review because she was SO AMAZING at both. With regard to day of coordination, Sonya was impeccable. Nothing slipped through the cracks! My guests and bridesmaids kept commenting on how smoothly everything was running and how beautiful everything looked (all Sonya!). She was able to organize our large and rambunctious bridal party with ease (and humor! and kindness!). And although Sonya was amazing on the day of, she was a lifesaver the month leading up to wedding. Unlike many day-of-coordinators who only work with you on the day of your wedding, Sonya works with you the entire month leading up to your wedding!! She communicates with all vendors, develops an incredibly detailed timeline, picks up any special items you want for the reception, assists with seating chart, and so much more. I could go on and on! Now with regard to flowers, I can honestly say there is not one single thing I would change about our flowers. I booked Sonya as our day-of-coordinator before I booked a florist and I was talking with her about how discouraging the florists were!! Everything was so expensive and I was told left and right that we wouldn't be able to get what we wanted within our budget. Well, in comes Sonya! She told me that she works closely with a florist and would work within my budget to create the exact look I wanted. The flowers she delivered far exceeded my expectations. I showed her pictures from Pinterest and she gave me almost exact replicas. I had big full peonies, gorgeous tall arrangements, tons of beautiful candles, and it all fit in with the whimsical romantic look I was going for. About a month before the wedding, I met with her at her studio and she showed me exactly how she planned to set up the ceremony and reception. She showed me tons of different options and I left feeling like "wow, she's got this!" I'll end with this because this review is already really long...at the end of our wedding my dad, who is really quiet, said "That Sonya is worth her weight in gold. She's amazing!" I would recommend her to anyone and re-hire her in a minute. Thank you, Sonya, for making our day so incredible!!

Sonya is AMAZING to say the least!! Sonya was my day of coordinator, but she did way more than just that. She made it her job to make sure that my day was a beautiful and magical as one dreams a wedding to be. She was actively involved in the décor of the church and the reception hall. She set up the church the night before the wedding and it already had that warm, elegant feel to it. When I stepped out onto the aisle, I could not believe how breathtaking the church was with all of the lit candles on the alter and all of the custom pieces that she made for my wedding. Hours before my wedding, she was at my reception hall setting up all of the centerpieces and the main welcome table. From seeing pictures from other events she coordinated, I had complete trust in her abilities, therefore I told her to do what she felt looked best in terms of decoration. Sonya definitely delivered! The reception hall looked amazing! I received so many compliments on the décor and all I could say was I had an amazing coordinator that made it her job to make sure I had a stress-free and beautiful wedding experience. The attention to detail to paid to everything did not go unnoticed. Additionally, it rained on the morning of my wedding day. When Sonya arrived at the church, she brought this beautiful umbrella for me to use because she know we had outdoor pictures planned. Also, she knew how to take care of the bridal party. She brought an emergency kit which obviously had emergency items such as safety pins, bobby pins, etc. but the kit also contained snacks. After a long stressful morning, it was a treat opening that box and finding snacks to hold us over until the reception. She's definitely many steps ahead if you can't tell by now. Lastly, Sonya recommended a florist by the name of Rita. I met with Rita once and had 1 or 2 phone calls here and there, and she completely got my vision. my bouquet was gorgeous as were my the bridesmaids bouquets, parent corsages, and the groomsmen boutonnieres.

From the day that I met with Sonya at Starbucks I was impressed, she was so organized with her entire setup and not once during our initial meeting did I feel pressured to hire her. She genuinely wanted to give me her feedback and advice and allowed me to make my decision based off my needs. Sonya is so calm and collected and you just feel so comfortable knowing that she is handling everything. I was blown away by how Sonya and her assistant executed my vision for my ceremony and reception, it was done exactly how I envisioned it and maybe ever better. You know it was money well spent when your husband at the end of night tells you that the coordinator was FANTASTIC and would pay double the money if needed.

In one word,Sonya was incredible. She really helped pull everything together and on the day of the wedding everything went off without a hitch! During the planning she was incredibly flexible - my husband and I have busy work schedules, so she was very amenable to having weekend and evening calls. Always responsive on email. I would absolutely recommend working with Sonya - she's fantastic!
