DuBois Formalwear was absolutely phenomenal for our wedding. Not only were they our tuxedo provider for our groomsmen, they also provided tuxedos for all of our male guests. Everything was smooth - from choosing tuxedos to picking them up and dropping them off. I can’t thank DuBois enough for all the hard work they did to make this day possible. Clearly I am biased but really, it was the most perfect day, largely because of how well they did with all of the tuxedos. Amazing work, 11/10.
Getting tuxes can be a bit of a hassle. Overall, they looked good and didn’t cost a fortune to rent.
Very professional service that was always able to take the time to help answer questions and help us understand everything about the tuxes we rented. Very positive experience and the tuxes fit everyone well.
Du Bois was great to work with and went above and beyond. Everything went as planned.
I want to start off by saying the Appleton location was amazing!! They let us go trough swatches and play around with different options. They were very organized. We picked our options here as well as picking up from here and the whole experience with this location was great. On the other had the men got fit at the Brookfield location during my bridal shower. The seemed upset with the amount of people we had (it wasn’t our whole party) as well as they seemed frustrated with the idea that the groom doesn’t pay if you have x amount of other people in the party, which is stated on their website, and tried to charge my husband. At the end of the appointment they didn’t set up times for the men to try on and pick up their tux’s so it was rushed last minute. Overall go to the Appleton location over the Brookfield one.
We had a great experience renting suits from DuBois for our wedding. The suits we were very stylish and the ordering process was very easy! We did do a trial run for the groom to make sure we liked the look and fit of his suit, but the best man didn't do that and it still fit perfectly. Everyone was very easy to work with - pickup and drop off were a breeze. Great company and staff!
Lia helped us from start to finish as we planned our wedding events. She was so knowledgable about colors, styles, and what to have everyone wear so everyone looked good for our June 2020 wedding and May 2021 reception (Thanks, Covid!) Let me start by saying that we had to reschedule our event 3 times this year due to the pandemic. Lia was the one we worked each time to make sure our orders were moved and adjusted. We had one hiccup the morning of the reception when the order was not entered in correctly and our groomsmen all seemed to have the wrong tie and the dads were missing their jackets. We immediately called Lia and she responded quickly and professionally to make sure we had what we needed for the guys. She was even ready to drive across town to snag an extra tie from another location if needed! She went above and beyond for us and fixed everything to help us have the perfect day! The guys all looked stunning! Thank you!!
Du Bois was great to work with! The very kind and patient manger at Broadway help us create the perfect look. We were very happy with service and the suits themselves!! Halfway through the day my husband did realize the groomsmen had 3 different shoe styles on. I'm sure no one else noticed I definitely didn't.
Initially my groom and I had a great experience with DuBois. When we went in and looked at tuxes, they had exactly what we were looking for and were local (Appleton store) so we decided to do our tuxes through them. Unfortunately, that was the only time we had fantastic customer service. All of our groomsmen individually said that they received horrible service from the women that work at the Appleton location - that they were rude, militant, pushy, and cold, which was much to my surprise given we had originally had a polar opposite experience. Because a number of our groomsmen were from out of state, the day before the wedding my groom and I picked up the tuxes for the men as most were traveling that day. On pick-up we saw exactly what our groomsmen had mentioned. The two ladies working that day were ice cold and acted as though they didn't have the time of day to assist us with questions. We had a number of changes to our wedding party due to COVID and when I asked one of the ladies to verify all of the changes had been covered, she actually sighed and rolled her eyes at me. Additionally, all suits must be dropped off the day after the event, but they don't open until 11 AM on Sundays so my groom and I were stuck returning all the suits for people who had early flights the next day. When dropping them off, the same two women were working as the day we picked them up. When doing the check over, there was a mask left on one of the hangers, to which the woman acted like an immature child, proclaiming "OMG. EW. Yah, don't touch that. You don't know what you could catch!" What a low level of professionalism. I will not be recommending DuBois, nor will I be using them for future events.
this place made getting the guys ready a little bit easier. We went in and looked at the tux and looked at the tie samples, etc and had one picked out in 10 minutes. all the guys can then dropped in anytime before their deadline to get measured. then everyone picks up their tux a day or two before the wedding to make sure it fits and then return it after the wedding. And if you have enough guys getting a tux, the groom's tux is only $31. great place, easy to schedule for the guys.
Wonderful experience, we had a small wedding party but every time we were there things went extremely smooth. The guys were comfortable and everything fit without any problems. Very happy with our experience and definitely recommend!
Never ever I repeat ever used Dubois for your wedding! I had the worst experience ever, I originally went in to order three tuxes for my groomsmen and my husband and all three of them were the exact same tux. After a few days I decided that I wanted the groom to be in a different color tux and I needed to add a tux for my father so I went in to make the adjustment. While I was talking to the woman (who took our wedding order originally) she noticed that she had inputted three, yes three, different colors into the system and she said 'thank goodness you came in! If you didn't I don't know what would have happened' I can tell you what would have happened, two days prior to my wedding we would have received these tuxes with the color plum pocket square, a sangria vest, and gold tie!! Are you kidding me! So after further discussion with my husband we decided that we wanted to go somewhere else; we just weren't comfortable with them. We requested their measurements so they wouldn't have to be sized again, even though I highly suggest you get resized because I wouldn't trust them worth the damn....they lost the sizes!! They had nonrecord of the measurements. overall yeah it's cheap but it's not worth the headache! I would never recommend DuBois Formalwear Oak Creek.
Thanks to Kaitlyn and Theresa at the Green Bay location for the excellent service provided for our wedding, from finding the perfect tuxes and colors for us all the way through our wedding date.
Our wedding was out-of-state, where several members of the bridal party lived, so naturally it was a concern should any of the tuxedo pieces not fit. No worries, they provided a few extra shirts and pants to take with us to make sure everything fit just right.
Thanks again!!
We went to DuBois as a first choice. We hadn't really heard anything about DuBois before going, but the location worked for us. They had a good variety of colors, styles, and designs to meet our needs. Everyone there was extrememly kind, helpful, and organized. I loved getting confirmation e-mails on what we ordered. With the multiple locations, it was convenient for everyone in our bridal party to get fitted, pick up their tux, and return them!
No hassle, easy to work with, great experience! My husband is not exactly well-versed when it comes to men's formalwear (neither am I), and DuBois made the experience simple and enjoyable. We loved how our ensemble looked together :)
I had learned about Dubois at the various wedding shows. I had priced them out and they seemed very reasonable. We came in one day and booked our wedding for tuxedos for my dad, brother, best man, father-in-law and husband to be. On our first visit we picked out everything, they took note and we made our initial deposit on my husband’s tux. The only thing left after our first visit was to get the other gentlemen sized. My dad and brother live out of state and so we were told they were part of the tuxedo shops of America group. We were asked to get them sized at any tux shop member and have the tux shop send over the size. My dad and brother did so and since we are a very detailed family… we called Dubois to ensure they received the sizes from the other tux shop. Dubois said that they hadn’t received the sizes and asked my Dad and brother to provide the sizes they were measured. Loggically, we thought this would be a risk if we provided the sizes because then we would be held accountable if something was wrong. When we refused to because it seemed silly to take on the risk ourselves, we asked the other tux shop (who were standing right next to) to send sizes 2 and 3 times. Each time Dubois said they did not receive the sizes even though they confirmed the contact information. Finally the other tux shop did the service of calling Du Bois. Once the sizes were finally received, we thought we were good. On the week of the wedding the gentlemen all went to go pick up their tuxes. NONE of the tuxes arrived as ordered with colors. They tried to convince us to take all black tuxes. Having little patience, after consulting with me, my husband decided to encourage Dubois to find us the tuxes we ordered. The night before the wedding they had received replacement tuxes for everyone… except my husband. My husband, myself and my dad were back and forth to the tux shop 3 times the nights before the wedding trying to pick up the various pieces of everyone’s tux. When asked to escalate to a manager, we were told we could not reach a manager. Additionally we were told that it was our fault (my concern in the first place) that the tuxes were not what we were ordered. The young lady who was at the counter each time we were there was very argumentative. They did make the effort to find everything and get it right before the wedding by driving pieces from other shops including Green Bay. The last minor issue was that my father-in-law’s shoes that were rented were so worn down they were uncomfortable. My husband had to switch with him so that he would have some support.
I would NOT recommend this vendor to anyone. Please avoid.
Tara was amazing to work with. he help picked the colors that matched our bridalmaid dresses and gave us great advise. She also followed up with us before the event to make sure we didn't want to change our selection and to make sure everyone got their measurements in. She also followed up afterwards to make sure everything went well on the day of. Great choices and uptodate fashion.
I am so glad we found DuBois. After having a bad experience with the other big chain we all know it was a breath of fresh air. Not only were the rentals about half the cost they had everything we wanted without having to pay extra- we wanted camo vests. Also, If you get your BM dresses at David's bridal don't feel like you need to have to go to that other big chain they send you to. DuBois also has a contract with David's to have the colors you need. They were great and made the experience fun.
Do Not use this vendor. The tuxedo's should not be your worry 2 days before your wedding, but they were for us. My groom and dad's tux were not ready until the day before. The customer service was terrible and blamed the holiday weekend. They could careless that we didn't have our tuxes in the 2 day window they promised.
The best man's suit coat was stained and needed to be returned.
Both the best man and groom needed alterations which we waited over a half hour to get done the day before the wedding. Why take measurements if you are not going to have the tuxes ready?? This is not what any couple needs to worry about the day before the wedding.
Once again- I don't recommend. Very rude and inconsiderate. They could use a lesson in customer service and abiding by their own contracts.
The tuxedos were pretty good for their price. My husbands pants didn't fit when he was picking up his tux and unfortunately the woman helping him tried to convince him they were okay. Thankfully they ordered new ones and they were in the very next morning and fit great.
The people at DuBois were fun and easy to work with. When choosing our tuxes, they dressed and redressed mannequins so we could see what the combinations would look like. They easily accommodated our out-of-town groomsmen and the price was reasonable for each tux.
DuBois has many locations in Milwaukee, I used the one in Eva's Bridal in Oak Creek. We had wonderful service and they always answered our questions quickly. We also had 2 out of town groomsmen and I was a little worried about things not being right, but the only little fix was done in house and the guys took the tux right away!
They have a huge range of colors to match the bridesmaid's dresses. Also great service.
I've always heard great things about DuBois, and was happy when I found they were in the same building as my dress boutique. We decided to go with suits instead of tuxes so that everyone had a suit afterwards after paying the same amount it would have cost to rent a tux anyways. Well it was a mess! The tuxes took MONTHS to come in (a few weeks before the wedding after ordering them about 5 months beforehand). All the groomsmen and both dads ordered their tuxes from the same location. 2 of our 4 groomsmen's orders were completely off (missing pants, or didn't remotely fit). The dad's received the wrong colored ties originally, and had fitting issues as well. DuBois fixed the mistake, but it was a lot of unnecessary stress at the last minute.
All of the tuxes were way too big on the boys. My husband came in and tried his on and they were able to take his in. But all the other boys lived out of the state for this wedding and two of them were flying in. So when they tried them on they all had to be pinned. And my father had come in for measurements as well and he was swimming in his tux, there was no way the correct sizes were ordered, or they ordered all 2 sized too big to compensate because it was an out of state wedding. We thought we were going with a better company by not going with Men's Wearhouse but we were extremely disappointed. I don't recommend if you are having an out of state wedding that you go with this company unless all the men can try the tuxes on in the store.
We went to DuBois after one other well known tux retailer and were very very glad we did. The service was SO much better, the prices were far more reasonable, and the experience was fun!! We HIGHLY recommend them!!
Very helpful.
I did not personally deal with this vendor, but my husband was completely satisfied with the service.
My husband used DuBois to rent his tuxedo for himself and his groomsmen. I spoke to the customer service team more than once to have them correct our order. They also state that they are able to provide exact matching colors and the colors only matched somewhat. They don't offer wide shoes and my nephew had to go without wearing his as they were much to small. While the tuxedos looked great, they felt cheap and we had a lot of sizing issues. I'm not sure why you can only pick up your tuxedo 2 days before the wedding but it doesn't offer a lot of time for alterations, especially when the day before the wedding is usually booked with any things.
They let the groom order and try on the tux before he rented so the day he picked up everything was perfect. Very good service even gave us a gas card as an incentive. The price was better than men's where house and the service was 10 times better as well. Only downfall is that it was raining and the guys coats smelled strange after getting wet...
In the end the tuxes turned out very nice and were exactly what we were looking for. There were a few mishaps , when I made the appointment for my husband and the guys they stated there would be a couple workers so things would go smoothly and when they got there only was working. Once we got the tuxes 2 of the guys were given the wrong sizes and had to wait until the morning of the wedding to get replacements
The tuxs looked pretty good but not great. The pants were to long on almost all the guys. The coat sleeves were way to long on all the guys. They just didnt really look like they fit despite being measured.
The service was great. They had a lot of choices to choose from for colors and patterns and the prices were good. All the men looked amazing in their tuxes!
My husband and his groomsmen got their tuxedos from DuBois. Everything fit perfectly. They were able to match the vest and tie color to the color of my bridesmaid dresses perfectly. Everyone looked amazing that day! Thank you DuBois!
this was the only store that was able to match my Clover green bridesmaids dressed in an acceptable manner. Our guys had chocolate tuxes, and competing stores that had clover tuxes all had black accents - nothing that matched the chocolate tux. We were a little disappointed in the fit of the chocolate tux - they were a little wide across the shoulder/chest - but it wasn't noticable much except on the fater of the bride.
The boys looked so incredibly handsome in there tuxedos. They fit very well and were very sharp looking. They had several types to choose from and so many different vest choices and colors! Very easy to work with and could find you anything you could possibly need!
the color went perfectly with my girls dresses
one groomsmens jacket was too small another ones pants were way too long, grooms shoes were scuffed up. They did not fix things properly before sending them out of the store and were reluctant to give any refunds for the problems. For $5 more than the rental fee everyone could have bought a suit that fit properly
The tuxes looked great but it took alot of work. My fathers tux was way oversized because she measured without having the tape straight and one of the groomsmen was given shoes 3 sizes larger than what he ordered along with his tux not fitting. Also the day of the wedding my husband noticed his tux vest, tie, and pocket square was a different color than his groomsmen (the groom had a white tux with plum vest, tie, and square and the groomsmen had black tux with plum tie, vest, and square) but instead of my husband having plum they accidently gave him sangria, a pink color, and we had to postpone pics before the wedding. I called while trying to get ready and I was put on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up and called back where they said they would call me back immediatly because the front desk was on another line. It was another 15 minutes before they called back and asked if I needed it right away or if I could wait and it was less than 1 hour before the wedding. Would not recommend for there service. I am still confused how the color got screwed up because they were called a week before the wedding and they said everything was "all set"
The first time we went in the store we had great service and was really happy with the tuxes. When the groomsmen went to get fitted they did have some trouble with getting the right colors for the right person, we told them a few times and still had to call me 1 week before the wedding to double check, they had people all mixed up. Then when they picked up the tuxes some of the sizes were off. The did fix everything in time for our big day.
DuBois Formalwear stood out for us leaps and bounds above other tux rental vendors! Their professionalism, reasonable prices, and great tux choices made this an easy choice for us. Our gray suits were excellent quality, every detail was taken care of and included. One of our fathers had some issues with their tux jacket and vest being a bit too tight. DuBois got on the phone right away and found a replacement for us, which was ready early the next morning. They were so helpful and friendly and I would recommend them above any of the others!!
Several of our groomsmen commented on the quality/feel of the tuxedos compared to others they had worn in the past. They also messed up my dad's pants. He went there to pick up his tux and they were too long... the lady took them in the back room and "fixed" them. She came back 20 minutes later and said they should be good. He didn't get to try them on again and when he wore them on our wedding day they looked really funky. Like the legs were being pulled up on each side. The croch area was also really, really low. They did not look good. Fortunately our photographer did a good job avoiding his pants in our dancing and walking down the aisle photos. These tuxes weren't inexpensive either... the prices they advertise in those package deals never seem to be what you can actually get.
We got our tuxes at the Sheboygan location. They were super friendly with the changes we had. My husband (then fiance) went in and picked one out - that was wrong! And we were able to come back to fix the mistakes. Great style for sure.
lost THE GROOMS measurements! we had to go in to do it over and then they found them.... when it came time to pick up the tux NONE of it fit him! the GROOM! problems with groomsmens tuxes too =(
We absolutely LOVED the tuxes... but getting them was the problem. Our best man didn't have shoes, the groom's measurements were off (they ordered him a 38" waist when he has a 34" waist), they ordered the wrong tux jacket for the groom's father... and many other things went wrong with the tuxes that I have been told but don't need to know about. We have used Dubois for other events but NEVER had this problem... makes me wonder if we should go back or not. There are also some hidden fees that are not expected... if you are getting the $79.95 "deal" with a coupon from the wedding shows... expect to have your men pay about $100 with everthing.
the tuxes ended up great, however almost everyone's jacket size was wrong, wrong size shoes for one, and one crumpled pair of shoes.
they fixed the problems in a jiff though!
great tux for a great price. Loved them!
Overall we were happy with this vendor. They were easy to work with, had multiple locations in our area and we were happy with the tuxedos we rented. The only problem we had was that one of the orders was not placed. We found this out when the best man went to pick up his tux two days before and it wasn't there. Du Bois was able to get the right tux in the right size by the next day. My only advice would be to have everyone get their tux at least the day before but they do let you pick them up as much as two days before the event.
We picked to get our tuxedos from here after attending the Milwaukee bridal expo and receiving a discount on the tuxes. We still checked other locations but DuBois seemed to have the best color selection for vests and ties. Out-of-town bridal party men were able to submit measurements online, call or go to a location nearest them. Our return date was able to be extended a day as I told them we would not be back in town the next day...very nice! Latte colored tuxes looked very classy on the guys! Only thing I wish could've changed was the price of the shoes..~25.00, a bit outrageous to me, but still went with them. Two people's coats did not fit and they had new ones in the next day for them! Thanks! Service a 4 because we had miscommunication on their part about colors of vests, but all turned out well.
DuBois made all the guys look great the day of our wedding!
This place is the awful. There were several measuring errors made that required me to return the day before the wedding to receive a new shirt (unless my arms grew 3 inches in length in one month). There was no apology given from the staff, and they were actually rude about the whole process.
The tuxes themselves were very poor quality, ragged and cheap looking. When I asked for a tie that didn't have loose threads popping out all over the place, the employee went in the back and came out with the same exact tie. When I called him out on it, he said "that usually works. This is the only tie we have in this color”, which I did not find comical.
I also had a coupon to get 1/2 off the father's tuxes. I gave it to the employee to be redeemed at pick-up. When we picked-up the tuxes, he "must have misplaced it" and since he didn't have it, I could not get the discount. I contacted the manager twice and he just blew me off both times (after the charged the full amount).
Do yourself a favor and rent your tuxes somewhere else... this was a horrible experience. The entire staff is a bunch of rude amateurs.
Our men looked awesome. The vests matched the bridesmaids prefectly. The were ready and adjustments were made in a timly manner when needed.
The guys all looked great.
Tuxes were amazing. Groom had to have his coat sleeves hemmed but they did it while we waited and it was perfect
DuBois was a great place to get tuxes, we specifically wanted charcoal gray and they were the only ones in the area that had them. They also did not pressure us into anything, like other places had. A few of the guys ended up with shirts that did not fit, but they were quick in getting the right size for everyone.
The place we went was in Tie the Knot in Howard, there the lady knew how to get right to the point and showed us what we wanted. She was very good and knew what she was doing.
Du Bois at Premiere Couture was one of the best vendors we worked with for our wedding. I would highly recommend Du Bois to dress your wedding party. Aside from the outstanding quality of the tuxes, the service was excellent too. Our out of town groomsmen were able to go online and submit measurements. We had 2 minor adjustments the day of pick up and I was able to exchange them right away. The staff was always very friendly and helpful; Joel even came in early on several occasions so that I could pick up and drop off the tuxes at a time that was convenient for me. Thank you again for all your help in making our day extra special, the guys looked TIP-TOP!!!
I wanted the guys tuxes to match the color of the bridesmaid dresses, which was an aquamarine blue. Men's Warehouse didn't have anything close to the color I wanted for the guys vests and ties, but DuBois did. Also, the staff at their Military Ave. location in Green Bay was great. They dressed up the manikins with the different jackets, vests, shirts, ties, and pocketsquares that were were thinking about. It really helped to be able to see the whole look put together. They had a large selection of colors to choose from for the vests and ties and I was able to find the perfect shade of blue. Also, we won a free tux rental from the at a bridal show and earned a free rental due to the number of rentals we were doing through them, so the groom got his tux free and they were able to take the second free rental and spit it up among the rest of the wedding party so the guys got a reduced rental fee. Overall they were very helpful and professional and have one of the best selections that I have seen.
DuBois was awesome to work with! They were so flexible and accommodating! If any changes needed to be made they could make it work up to 24 hours before the wedding day. They have many locations which made it easy for all the guys to return them by Monday after the wedding day. Everyone's tuxedos looked so nice and because we had such a large wedding party we got two free tuxes (which we spread across to everyone) so all the guys received a total of 75$ off the total cost. The colors matched perfect with they bridesmaids and everyone seemed to fit in them well! We are so happy we went with DuBois!
I wanted Chocolate brown tux with Kiwi Green vest and tie's. They had exactly what i wanted and the guys looked great! Got a good discount by attending one of the bridal shows before the wedding which helped with the cost!
First, they ordered our invitations without ever allowing us to proof them first. When I came in to "proof" them all of my invitations were in with my name spelled incorrectly! It took almost 4 weeks to reorder the actual invitation! Then when we went to pick them up we noticed they had not ordered all of the pieces! It took another 2 weeks to get those in! And just when we though our problems were done we went to pick up the tuxs which were all wrong!! The groom had the wrong shoes and tie! The father of the bride had the wrong color vest and tie! And all of the groomsmen had a different combination of wrong vests, ties and different colored shirts! Would not recommend to anybody unless your willing to deal with lots of errors and make repeated phone calls to try to solve them!
The gals that we worked with at Dubois were very friendly and we were able to make sure things fit ahead of time. Also it was nice to have the main company right here in Green Bay for last minute fixes.
We were going to go through the bridal shop for tuxedos when I decided to call DuBois and get a quote. They were cheaper by going directly through them vs through a different vendor and still having DuBois. Great styles and many to choose from. We also got a discount for each tux rented and the groom was practically free.
I loved going to DuBois for our wedding tuxes! We had a huge order and they seemed to keep track of everything wonderfully. We didn't have any mess ups and the tuxes we got looked great on everyone! Not one of the guys complained about being uncomfortable. Also, the service was great! My husband had changed his mind with people/colors so many times and they were right there to change the info in their computer without a complaint. It was great!
We really enjoyed the tuxes we got from DuBois. The only complaint is that the Madison store moved locations during our wedding planning, and it was very inconvenient for us to pick up and drop off at the new location.
We had a 5 guys stand up who were all over 6 feet tall and they managed to get them all fitted and the tuxes looked very nice
