single negative thing to say about Duke’s. Our wedding day went off without a hitch and we kept hearing from our wedding coordinator how wonderful it was to work with this venue and their staff. This was hands down the best experience and I could not recommend Duke’s more for weddings or any other special event! A HUGE thank you to the team at Duke’s! You made our wedding day spectacular :)

The only downside is that we couldn't use the private beach for family photos and one of the main course entrees we selected for our menu (filet mignon) was not good. Other than these 2 minor details, I would definitely recommend Duke's, you cannot beat the beautiful view!!

how perfect Duke’s was for us. As for the venue, the view was absolutely stunning, and the wooden interiors made for such gorgeous pictures. The food is absolutely incredible, and the service was outstanding. From helping us plan through helping with moving and decorating on the day, the staff were perfect. We loved the bridal room for prep and dance floor. And the beach made for perfect pictures. And Natalie and Connor were completely there for us throughout the whole process. They are so good at this, and I always felt cared for. They helped me plan ever step and ran the night smoothly and perfectly so I could just enjoy it. The whole process with Duke’s felt so easy and calm, which is amazing when trying to throw a wedding. They deeply care about their clients, and it shows. I really can’t recommend this venue and it’s staff more highly. It was a dream come true.

it. The ocean view is breathtaking, and the special event coordinators are all super helpful and answered my many millions of questions. Natalie and Connor ran the event and did an outstanding job. They managed the whole evening, so I got to relax and enjoy friends and family. All of our guests raved about the beautiful view, the large venue with the great dance floor, the great food from Duke's, and the exceptional staff. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. All we had to do was enjoy and dance the night away - and we did just that!

From the start, Duke's was very responsive and attentive to our needs - we corresponded periodically with a team of 3 events coordination staff to help us achieve milestones within the planning. The events staff, namely Connor & Natalie, were always available for consultation and assisted us with specific requests. On the day of the event everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. They had a large team assisting with the set-up and execution of the food, drink, and AV capabilities. All-in-all we couldn't have asked for a better experience, and all of our guests enjoyed themselves thoroughly. Well done Duke's!

n the Board Room (33 people). They let us come in ahead of time and decorate and set up everything for the reception a few hours in advanced and made sure we had everything. The food was good, the only bad thing was we weren't able to have music that we wanted for that specific room, but I'm sure it's way different for their big reception venue rooms. Overall I recommend them.

e had originally chosen another venue and after starting the process with them, we decided that we weren’t happy. We contacted Duke’s and they couldn’t have been more accommodating! The event staff (Natalie and Madelina) were incredibly helpful in every stage of planning the night/menu and the private room was a perfect size for our needs. The food was terrific and everyone loved the appetizers that we choose...highly recommend the Shrimp Croquettes and Poke Cups!!

The service was complimented by everybody who attended our wedding, showing that the staff took not only good care of us, but also our guests. The food was phenomenal! We had a daytime buffet wedding and we were nervous about how well the food would taste buffet-style, but Duke's again exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend the Duke's Style Fish, it was the highlight of the day. The view/location. We originally wanted a night wedding, however I am so glad that we did a daytime wedding and took advantage of this venues amazing view. Duke's also provides the ability to do our wedding photos on the beach. I'm unable to express enough our extreme gratitude and happiness with our whole experience at Duke's and with the Events Team.

& ceremony perfectly and far exceeded all expectations. They were very hands on and organized, worked well with my vendors, and created the perfect atmosphere for guests. Duke's is the PERFECT spot for a beach view reception...must do it at sunset. Guests loved taking sunset pics on the deck and especially enjoyed the food.The baked Duke's style fish, Hawaiian sliders, and Duke's pie were the favorites. If you're looking to create a different menu for guests, look no further. I still have guests commenting on the food! Can't wait to get my photos. We will definitely be coming back to Duke's for many many years to come. Thank you Duke's for making our wedding day so special!

Maddie was awesome. She was warm, caring and professional. Every single detail was of utmost importance to her and her team. The food was great, and of course you cannot beat the location. the ambiance-It was more than I could have asked for! Madeline and her staff made everything flow beautifully and were all so easy to work with. I've had the most amazing compliments about our wedding- the setting and food were perfection! We were married as the sun set! There were waves hitting the windows at dinner! They provided a list of vendors that made the whole event gorgeous! I would highly recommend using Duke's Malibu for your wedding.

first meeting with Madelina, to the many, many, emails and calls right before the wedding, they were always there every step of the way. Everything was taken care of the day of my wedding. The food was delicious! The view was amazing! The staff took care of everyone. My weddIng was so much fun and I owe it all to the wonderful staff at Dukes. I am forever grateful.

rch 16th due to sentimental reasons, we needed to find a local spot. I researched many places and them stumbled upon Duke's in Malibu. Coincidently, this is where my husband proposed and we had no idea of the beautiful Ocean Banquet room they had. I couldn't have been more satisfied with our decision. First off, the staff was excellent. Madelina, Alessa and a few others that we worked with were just great! There were great at listening to what we wanted and worked so well with the outside vendors that we hired to come in. The room itself was very nice, the beautiful view of the windows overlooking the ocean was just breathtaking! The fact that we got to enjoy the ocean view and beautiful setting without the outdoor elements was exactly what we were looking for. We loved that we were able to use the beach to do bridal party pictures as well. They also have a great bridal suite, we used it as the "man cave" for the guys =) But that was great to have that room to get ready. We couldn't have been happier with Duke's. excellent job. Madelina, Alessa, and Mia were so helpful through the entire process. Every detail was perfect. They really know what they are doing. I could not have imagined a better day or more perfect location. Everything was so easy- from the smooth set up to the food all being exactly on time, I didn't have to worry about a thing! It was exactly what we wanted, a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful view, and an elegant wedding. We chose a morning wedding (10am) because we wanted to get the most out of the gorgeous ocean view- we even saw dolphins and sea lions playing in the water. I had to focus really hard on the ceremony because I knew if I looked out the window I'd get lost in the view. :) The only thing I'm sad about is that we didn't get to enjoy the food. It was delicious and everyone loved it, but we were too excited that we just didn't feel like eating much. When looking for a venue, I was starting to get discouraged at all the outrageous prices. I reached out to Duke's thinking "there's no way we are gonna be able to afford this" but when I talked to them and got the initial quote, I couldn't believe it. I immediately got excited and thought- "Wow! We can actually do this!" If you are considering Duke's as an option... DO IT!! It was an awesome experience and everything was so amazing. A really great venue and, in my opinion, a fantastic value. I cannot recommend it enough.

Alessa, Madelina, Rob and all the staff we shared our night with are lovely people who take care in what they do and genuinely wish for you to be happy; they are a family - an Ohana - wanting nothing but the very best for you on your special occasion. They are always available to not only assist with, but to manage the smallest of details that you may have overlooked or stressed over. Together as a team, they combine their expertise, skill, and compassion to seamlessly bring the relaxed, Island vibe to the magnificent Ocean Room sitting atop the Pacific. The location is stunning. Walls of glass open to the endless ocean, and you become one with the glorious sunset. Open windows and a deck perched upon the rocks, the crash of the surf lulls you to memories of Island vacations without a care in the world. This is what we wanted our wedding to be: everybody happy and smiling, enjoying the sea breezes, sipping mai tai's and savoring scrumptious bites. Laughter and love. Everything was delicious - from the array of appetizers, the huli-chicken, the fresh Hawaiian fish (that I so wanted), the vegetarian dish created just for us that evening, to the splendiferous signature Hula Pie - our guests raved! The service was spot on and incredibly attentive; everyone was cared for as if we were at an intimate dinner party in a private home. There was never a wait at the bar, we were never rushed, and everyone from the wedding party, to guests, to vendors were all accommodated and treated with respect and aloha. As I said, they get it right at Duke's. Mahalo nui loa to everyone at Duke's for making our wedding a day we will never, ever forget. Thank you for transporting us across the ocean to the Islands and making our wedding day perfect, and a dream come true. This was truly one of the best experiences we have ever had. They know and love good food, there are chefs, pastry chefs and in general people obsessed with the newest and greatest restaurants in la, and around the globe. But to be honest i didnt originally book this location for the food. I booked it for the location, as my son and his bride had a small destination wedding in Hawaii and our large family couldn't attend. So we wanted to continue the beach theme, and Hawaiian ambiance, and this was just a no brainer for the obvious reasons. The VIEWS FROM THE OCEAN ROOM WERE ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING. so next came the part to work with the event staff and work out a menu with our modest budget that would try to appease all the foodies in my family... I cant even begin to tell you that it was SENSATIONAL. every single item, detail was paid attention to in every single detail. The buffet was just gorgeous and food, prepared with love and care. Everything was absolutely delicious. And i mean everything. From the ceasars salad, the string beans they made us with lemon, garlic and olive oil, people were going nuts! the Hawaiian Huli Chicken was moist and nothing was ever left to dry out on the buffet.. the Opa fish, was sensational. The sides were plentiful and the desert of Huli Pie to DIE FOR..... So if that wasnt enough, of having the perfect location, and the food outstanding, the only thing that could make or break an event, is the staff. and the folks working over at Dukes, Madeline, Alessa, Matt, Deanna, and of course the chef and his kitchen staff were absolutely outstanding. Customer service at its finest. They worked with me on the budget, the menu and of course the decoration and set up, with the kindness and professionalism that you can only hope for. I strongly recommend this as a great location for any event. This is an honest review, i live in another state and no one i know works at dukes nor did anyone in our party know anything or refer me to them.

At our wedding, they converted the room and managed the dinner service seamlessly. And my guests are still raving about the meal -- and the great cocktails. I researched several venues while planning my wedding, and Duke's beat them all on the view, affordability, amazing food and professional yet warm service. Duke's made my guests and I feel welcome and special, and I'm so grateful.

looked very pretty. The Ocean room is amazing with 180 views of the water. A Whale and a baby whale even swam up during lunch with some dolphins. The day was glorious!

The day of the event was the only time we say a few hiccups. It was nothing to cost the wedding or make it anything short of memorable. But there were a few problems that stuck out.... all dealing with the food and catering management. During our cocktail hour we had cheese and crackers as one of our appetizers. Unfortunately the crackers never made it out, even after we brought this to their attention. For dinner, we had a pesto pasta as one of our buffet options. However, pesto was not the sauce on the pasta. They still claim that it was, but we know the difference between pesto and a white cream sauce and what we got was not pesto. But it still tasted good and no one would have know the difference (we just knew it was not what we tried and ordered during our tasting). The last unfortunate thing to happen was that our cake was not served until 45min after the cake cutting. My mother had to go knock on the kitchen door to ask them to serve it. This was probably the most unfortunate thing since at that point people had already started leaving and never got cake. We had an AMAZING cake that we were really hoping to share with our family and friends. There were a few other minor details that didn't happen or had their mistakes. But at the end of the day, we looked past that and were very happy with the wedding. We got more than we paid for and I would definitely use Duke's again for another event.
