ason is extremely knowledgeable and helped us come up with a minute by minute plan of what the wedding would look like. Jason always had an answer for us and was very accommodating with special requests which helped everything go super smoothly and ensured we had exactly the wedding we wanted. Additionally, the venue is beautiful and our photos came out even better than we expected. There are so many beautiful locations around the venue and I think this is the perfect location for a Charleston wedding. Lastly, my wife loved the bridal suite and had the best time. We have nothing but positive things to say and I highly recommend considering Dunes West for your wedding. My wife and I said to each other several times while planning, "Wow, we are so glad we chose to have our wedding at Dunes West. It was 100% the right call and I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else!"

They have truly thought through every possibility and work hard to make sure everything flows seamlessly. The food is delicious and because all the spaces are already so beautiful, they really need very little in the way of decorations. We truly cannot give Dunes West enough praise.

We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner menu tasting months before our wedding and every one of our guests raved about how great the food was. As for the wedding day, I couldn’t have imagined a better team for a seamless and stress free environment. Every single person was so kind and welcoming. They are such a well oiled machine and leave no stone un turned. They are incredibly accommodating with anything you might need and go above and beyond in every respect. Our guests are still in awe of the venue, the views and the experience. When my florals arrived completely wrong — what felt like an absolute nightmare in the moment — Jason immediately JUMPED into action. He searched the entire venue to help recreate my original vision and problem-solved with such calm confidence. When the florist also failed to provide the easels for our welcome sign and seating chart, Jason didn’t hesitate — he took down the club’s own signage so we could use their easels instead. That level of care, urgency, and commitment is beyond anything I could have hoped for. Him and his staff are truly next level. I genuinely wish we could get married all over again just to experience working with them again and again.

Jason answered every single question I had (and there were a lot!) with patience and kindness. He is truly a gem of a human, and the same goes for Pam and the rest of the team. Even being three hours away, we always felt completely comfortable and confident because of how communicative, organized, and caring they were. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect because of them. Everything flowed seamlessly, they made sure we always had food and drinks, even setting up a short private dinner for us to take it all in together. They anticipated every need, took care of every detail, and made sure our guests were happy the entire time. We were nervous about the weather, but Jason was incredibly flexible and reassuring. He was ready to wait until the very last second before moving the ceremony indoors if needed, which gave us so much peace of mind. Thankfully, the weather held out, but knowing we were in such capable hands made all the difference. And the venue itself? STUNNING. The scenery, the atmosphere, everything was picture-perfect. I could go on and on, but truly, if you’re considering this venue, do it. You will not regret it.

Our guests raved about how delicious everything was and I wish I could go back and taste each entree again. Dunes West made all of my daughter's wedding dreams come true. We will always be grateful for their time, care and attention to detail.

Seriously the best wedding food we’ve ever had (our guests said so too). The space was perfect for a band (I thought it would be too loud but it wasn’t). I could go on and on about how perfect our wedding was and how much we love the venue!!

The recently renovated bridal suite was the perfect space to get ready in. Having the Wando River as our backdrop just made everything feel that much more magical. Everyone at Dunes West is so kind and professional, we have zero complaints! Jason made wedding planning such a breeze, I really can’t say enough good things about my experience.

he biggest event of my life seemed daunting and stressful until I met Jason Hanson. He is so kind, so easy going and made the process a BREEZE!!!!! Him, Harry and the rest of the staff go above and beyond. I had zero stress the entire process!!!! ZERO! Our guests went on and on about how amazing the food was which is so so rare at a wedding. It’s absolutely delicious. Jason is flexible on all your ideas, visions etc and there to suggest and guide. They do SO much day of that you truly don’t need a wedding planner & that speaks volumes! There was literally not one bad thing to say. Every additional vendor ( photographer, videographer, HMU etc ) all said the same thing when we told them our venue- best food, nicest staff and gorgeous. The food was delicious, which we also received numerous compliments about. Jason is fantastic to work with. Very accommodating, easy-to work with, and attentive. The Best Man, who does some work as a wedding photographer, said that our wedding was one of the smoothest, most chill and enjoyable weddings that he's been to. Dunes West definitely knows what they are doing and I would recommend this venue to anybody getting married.

Not once did I turn around needing something the day of our wedding! The food was AMAZING, we loved everything during our tasting but had sooo many guest come up to tell us it was easily the best wedding food they ever had, and I agree!! The venue was beautiful and right on the water, staff was amazing, service was 1000000/10! I could not recommend this place more Jason and Harry easily helped me have the wedding of my dreams!!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

o you don't have to shop for excessive outside vendors. The major selling point for Dunes West was their onsite coordinator, Jason. He's direct and efficient and a true professional. You can tell he knows what he's doing. I felt safe with my wedding in his hands. I highly recommend Dunes West as a wedding venue.

ct. Dunes West offers three different outdoor locations for the wedding ceremony, and my husband and I ended up choosing the spot in front of the oak tree. That oak tree - I cannot express how stunning it is. I could sell Dunes West just based on the scenery, but more than just the scenery, the service, food, and coordination are incredible. If you haven't met Jason yet, you will, and once you meet him, you'll be sold on Dunes West yet again. Jason is the wedding coordinator for the venue, and he is the most organized professional that I have worked with. He took notes on all of our wants, needs, and desires, and he made sure that it all got sorted out for the wedding day. Jason showed up at 9:30am when I arrived for hair and makeup on the wedding day, and he had four champagnes and orange juice waiting for me, my bridesmaids, and makeup/hair artists in the bridal suite! Also, if you brides have not seen the renovated bridal suite yet, just wait .... it is GORGEOUS. Jason did an impeccable job. My bridal party was in the bridal suite from 9:30AM-6:30PM, and we just had the best day hanging out. The bridal suite also has a gorgeous outdoor balcony, and since it was a beautiful day, we just kept the doors open and let the natural light and wind in. It was awesome! Once the wedding started, even when things came up last-minute, Jason stayed patient and composed, which I really appreciated. It helped to have that energy, and I, as the bride, did not feel any stress throughout the day. Jason made the day go smoothly, and then for dinner and the after events when Harry the banquet captain took over, he also did an awesome job ensuring that my husband and I stayed on track for the schedule and got to all of our plans such as the father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, and cake cutting. It is very easy on your wedding day to get swept up in the thrill of it all, so it is imperative to have great coordinators on sight to keep things flowing. Jason and Harry did just that! I cannot thank them enough for making our day so special. Our wedding had 170 guests, which meant we had a dinner buffet for our guests, and we received great reviews and feedback on the food! One of our guests even said it was the best wedding food she has ever had, and she's been to many weddings!! The buffet line does get long with that many guests, but we did not have any complaints. Harry and Jason made sure that everyone kept moving through the line and there were no hold-ups. In terms of personalized notes, we had Nothing Bundt Cakes as our dessert, and the Dunes West staff helped put them out on cake stands that I provided. My family also wrote name cards for the cake flavors, and the staff put those out as well. The display looked great, and I had no concerns that the team would execute it as I envisioned! We also had a Publix two-tiered cake that was beautifully placed. All in all, our wedding at Dunes West was everything that I could have wanted and more. It was the best day of my life, and I just cannot stop thinking about how beautiful, fun, and enjoyable it was. Everyone kept commenting that as the bride, I did not look stressed, and truly, it is because I was not! I felt so taken care of by the staff at Dunes West, and it really is the greatest place to get married in Charleston.

Jason and the Dunes West staff truly made our wedding night perfect and one to remember!
