My wedding was absolutely perfect thanks to the team at Dunes West. Jason and Harry are a true dream team. They kept the day moving seamlessly and were so accommodating to any last minute changes or requests. Harry was so attentive throughout the reception, making sure that my husband and I did not want for anything. Jason’s expertise and professionalism throughout the entire process took a lot of stress off of me as a bride. We knew we were in great hands. So many of my guests said this was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. The Dunes West kitchen is truly top notch. Dinner was a huge success, with most guests going up for seconds, or even thirds! The facilities themselves are just so beautiful. The recently renovated bridal suite was the perfect space to get ready in. Having the Wando River as our backdrop just made everything feel that much more magical. Everyone at Dunes West is so kind and professional, we have zero complaints! Jason made wedding planning such a breeze, I really can’t say enough good things about my experience.

It’s hard to find the words to describe how amazing this wedding venue is. Besides breathtaking backdrops it’s the staff that make it. I am not a huge planner therefore planning the biggest event of my life seemed daunting and stressful until I met Jason Hanson. He is so kind, so easy going and made the process a BREEZE!!!!! Him, Harry and the rest of the staff go above and beyond. I had zero stress the entire process!!!! ZERO! Our guests went on and on about how amazing the food was which is so so rare at a wedding. It’s absolutely delicious. Jason is flexible on all your ideas, visions etc and there to suggest and guide. They do SO much day of that you truly don’t need a wedding planner & that speaks volumes! There was literally not one bad thing to say. Every additional vendor ( photographer, videographer, HMU etc ) all said the same thing when we told them our venue- best food, nicest staff and gorgeous. If you want a stress free wedding it’s here!

There aren't enough words to describe how happy we are with the Venue we chose for our wedding. Jason goes over an above to make your wedding go smoothly! Ours had no issues and much of this was because of his attention to detail and help with ideas and plans from his experience. Absolutely fantastic experience. We can not speak highly enough about Dunes West. The venue is absolutely beautiful, with many of our guests making the same remarks to us about. The food was delicious, which we also received numerous compliments about. Jason is fantastic to work with. Very accommodating, easy-to work with, and attentive. The Best Man, who does some work as a wedding photographer, said that our wedding was one of the smoothest, most chill and enjoyable weddings that he's been to. Dunes West definitely knows what they are doing and I would recommend this venue to anybody getting married.

We got married at the beginning of June and it could not have been more perfect. During the planning process Jason was just quick to help answer and questions I had and was very accommodating. Jason was so nice and helpful and the day of would not have gone as smoothly without him! Harry was the food and beverage manager and took care of us all throughout the night! Not once did I turn around needing something the day of our wedding! The food was AMAZING, we loved everything during our tasting but had sooo many guest come up to tell us it was easily the best wedding food they ever had, and I agree!! The venue was beautiful and right on the water, staff was amazing, service was 1000000/10! I could not recommend this place more Jason and Harry easily helped me have the wedding of my dreams!!! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!

Dunes West was everything we wanted in a wedding reception venue and more. The views were fantastic and Jason Hanson was the most helpful event coordinator I have ever worked with. The food was absolutely incredible- we have had family and friends constantly reaching out to us to compliment how delicious each and every meal was. Everything went off without a hitch and their entire staff was so helpful and friendly. I highly recommend considering this venue for your big day!

We could not have had a better experience at Dunes West! Jason and his entire staff helped bring our vision to life and our entire day was executed to perfection! Dunes West was extremely accommodating to our special requests that were important to making our day feel like ours. Our guests raved about the food and service. There are SO many menu selections Jason and his chef's teams helped curate the perfect selections for our large crowd and everyone was so pleased. I'll never stop recommending Dunes West as a venue, you won't find a better kept secret in Charleston.

I couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue than Dunes West. The scenery is stunning, the food is great, the venue itself is gorgeous, and so many things are included onsite so you don't have to shop for excessive outside vendors. The major selling point for Dunes West was their onsite coordinator, Jason. He's direct and efficient and a true professional. You can tell he knows what he's doing. I felt safe with my wedding in his hands. I highly recommend Dunes West as a wedding venue.

Dunes West was the venue of my dreams!! It is absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to have a gorgeous spring day on March 30,2024, and it really could not have been more perfect. Dunes West offers three different outdoor locations for the wedding ceremony, and my husband and I ended up choosing the spot in front of the oak tree. That oak tree - I cannot express how stunning it is. I could sell Dunes West just based on the scenery, but more than just the scenery, the service, food, and coordination are incredible. If you haven't met Jason yet, you will, and once you meet him, you'll be sold on Dunes West yet again. Jason is the wedding coordinator for the venue, and he is the most organized professional that I have worked with. He took notes on all of our wants, needs, and desires, and he made sure that it all got sorted out for the wedding day. Jason showed up at 9:30am when I arrived for hair and makeup on the wedding day, and he had four champagnes and orange juice waiting for me, my bridesmaids, and makeup/hair artists in the bridal suite! Also, if you brides have not seen the renovated bridal suite yet, just wait .... it is GORGEOUS. Jason did an impeccable job. My bridal party was in the bridal suite from 9:30AM-6:30PM, and we just had the best day hanging out. The bridal suite also has a gorgeous outdoor balcony, and since it was a beautiful day, we just kept the doors open and let the natural light and wind in. It was awesome! Once the wedding started, even when things came up last-minute, Jason stayed patient and composed, which I really appreciated. It helped to have that energy, and I, as the bride, did not feel any stress throughout the day. Jason made the day go smoothly, and then for dinner and the after events when Harry the banquet captain took over, he also did an awesome job ensuring that my husband and I stayed on track for the schedule and got to all of our plans such as the father/daughter dance, mother/son dance, and cake cutting. It is very easy on your wedding day to get swept up in the thrill of it all, so it is imperative to have great coordinators on sight to keep things flowing. Jason and Harry did just that! I cannot thank them enough for making our day so special. Our wedding had 170 guests, which meant we had a dinner buffet for our guests, and we received great reviews and feedback on the food! One of our guests even said it was the best wedding food she has ever had, and she's been to many weddings!! The buffet line does get long with that many guests, but we did not have any complaints. Harry and Jason made sure that everyone kept moving through the line and there were no hold-ups. In terms of personalized notes, we had Nothing Bundt Cakes as our dessert, and the Dunes West staff helped put them out on cake stands that I provided. My family also wrote name cards for the cake flavors, and the staff put those out as well. The display looked great, and I had no concerns that the team would execute it as I envisioned! We also had a Publix two-tiered cake that was beautifully placed. All in all, our wedding at Dunes West was everything that I could have wanted and more. It was the best day of my life, and I just cannot stop thinking about how beautiful, fun, and enjoyable it was. Everyone kept commenting that as the bride, I did not look stressed, and truly, it is because I was not! I felt so taken care of by the staff at Dunes West, and it really is the greatest place to get married in Charleston.

Our wedding was absolutely perfect at Dunes West. Jason made the whole process so easy and organized. The staff were incredible to our guests and kept the night running smoothly and stress free! I cannot recommend working with Jason and having your wedding at Dunes West enough. In addition to the amazing staff, the food was delicious! Our guests were raving about the food and said that it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding! Having good food was very important to us when planning our wedding. We loved the variety of options and the opportunity to taste a few selections before making our decision. We highly recommend the shrimp and grits! Jason and the Dunes West staff truly made our wedding night perfect and one to remember!

Jason and his team were amazing! He answered emails immediately and was instrumental in making this wedding perfect. Harry and the reception team were very attentive and no details were missed. The food was delicious with so many options. The views of the water and the reception space are breathtaking and they have several options for the location of the ceremony. I cannot recommend this venue and Jason enough!

Jason was wonderful to work with! I had many questions and he was so gracious answering them and helping calm me down when the weather wasn’t ideal. All of the service staff were great and attentive!

Words truly cannot describe how incredible our experience was with Jason and his Dunes West team. Wow, wow, wow, wow - it was a night we will never forget! The food was OUTSTANDING, service was top notch, and you can't beat the views/scenery. If you're looking for a venue, search no further! If I could redo this night, I honestly wouldn't change a thing it was that well organized and orchestrated.

Jason was amazing!!! We planned our wedding from out of state and Jason made the process so easy and stress free! The day was perfect and our reception was even better than imagined. All of our guests raved about the venue, and the food! Harry that evening was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed! I am so happy we had our wedding here!

Jason at Dunes West helped my daughter and her husband plan their wedding on June 17th. The venue is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. Jason was very responsive and open to our ideas. From the beautiful ceremony under the oak, to cocktail hour in the outdoor green space, the exceptional food…we couldn’t ask for anything better. It was absolutely perfect. Jason is AMAZING! I will never be able to speak highly enough of how amazing Jason and his team at Dunes West are. Jason and his team made sure my husband and I were fed while also following our timeline and allowing wiggle room where needed. It poured on our wedding day which put a hiccup in our timeline and Jason was so gracious working with us. The food was incredible and so were the drinks. The entire time, Jason worked closely with us to ensure that our wedding day was exactly how we wanted it to be. Plus, Dunes West is stunning to begin with!

Jason and his team at Dunes West did an amazing job in making our special day even more special. What really stands out about Jason and his team is his experience in the space, which allows him to quickly answer any questions about pricing, timing, feasibility, and anything else related to the venue, bar service, or kitchen. Another great thing about Jason is his dedication to making things happen. We had a few requests that are definitely outside of the norm, and Jason was able to talk them out with us about what he would be able to do to make them happen. All in all, this was an amazing day and we're so lucky for the Dunes West Team taking such great care of us and our guests. Thank you!

Jason made the entire wedding process seamless and felt like a good friend by the time our wedding came around. Every question was answered, every desire came to fruition- even our out or the box request for an exit- he made it happen! The guests raved about how beautiful the scene was, the indoor and outdoor space, and the food. We were also able to rent the space as long as we wanted (you pay for additional hours, but the fact that we weren’t kicked out at 10 pm really aligned with the type of celebration we were going for). No negative comments to make about Dunes West. It was wonderful and we couldn’t ask for a better setting and staff to make our wedding day as enjoyable as it was.

Updating this review after speaking with Jason, the Food and Beverage Director, who personally reached out in response to some of the concerns that I had from my wedding day. I said it initially, and I'll say it again, Jason Hanson was incredibly wonderful to work with leading up to our wedding. The communication regarding any and all questions was very good. The venue itself is stunning, and I feel that the price that you pay is reasonable for the services provided. With that being said, we had very high expectations for Dunes West given all of the fantastic reviews over the years. There were some flaws on our wedding day, and this information is intended to help the team improve. The ceremony location had old décor left on it from a previous wedding. I was told that the staff comes out to the area 30 minutes prior to the ceremony to wipe down the chairs. This did not happen (per all of the groomsmen and ushers that had been out there four a couple of hours at this point). Thirty minutes prior to the ceremony, my florist had finished installing the ceremony pieces, so how would the staff know what to remove from the area (what décor wasn't mine)? The décor should be removed earlier in the day. Our signature cocktails were not garnished correctly and came out different throughout the evening. Our photographer took a photo of the wedding party with our cocktails (the first batch following the ceremony, and they were not correct the first time around). I just found out yesterday, because my parents didn't want to upset me, that they were the actual last table to eat dinner. I wish someone would have asked me which tables the parents were sitting at. My Dad was not pleased that he paid for our wedding and was the last person to get his food (what was left of it anyways). There was a bit of a disconnect getting people from dinner to downstairs for cake cutting and dancing. Lastly, Dunes West will break down for the evening and move any belongings that were left to Jason's office, but they're not responsible for lost items. I'm missing several items, some of sentimental value that I can't replace (velvet ring box, hanger my bridesmaids got me for my gown, invitations, etc.). I recognize that Dunes West isn't responsible for lost items, but I'm definitely disappointed in this. In summary, we're still married, and we still had a fantastic day with our friends and family. There were many things that did go right, and I'm not sure that any wedding goes 100% perfectly. This feedback is simply indented to help the Dunes West team improve.

ason and the staff at Dunes West were amazing. Getting married the day after a hurricane was stressful, but Jason was able to work with us and we had an amazing day. Jason and his staff are extremely professional and efficient, and let us really enjoy being with our guests and to enjoy our time at our wedding. Gorgeous venue, great food, 10/10 staff!

Our wedding was held at Dunes West 2/25/23 and we could not have asked for a better experience! From the initial venue visit over a year ago, to our food tasting, final walk-through, and ultimately our wedding day, Dunes West was fantastic to work with and we were thrilled with the end result. The venue manager, Jason, is extremely professional. Emails are answered promptly and thoroughly, and he is pleasant and polite to work with, and very accommodating. He worked with us to create the perfect food and bar options for our guests, and let me know which of our selected options were suitable for our vegan/vegetarian guests. Dunes West offers a great value for the money with so much included in the base price: tables, chairs, linens, dishware/flatware/glassware and serving staff. The food and beverage minimums are very reasonable, and if you book for the off season as we did, they offer discounts that yield an even greater value. They also do not nickel and dime you for little things like cutting and serving the cake, and simply include things like that, which many venues charge extra for. Between Jason and the banquet captain, they were very hands on throughout the event, and never skipped a beat. Their set-up was completed in plenty of time for our florist and day-of coordinator to add our florals and other decor items. My friends and I then arrived early to have lunch before getting ready in the spacious bridal suite, and found champagne on ice, along with orange juice and glasses and a sweet note from Jason inviting us to enjoy complementary mimosas while getting ready. The suite has glass doors opening on to the upstairs veranda, which gave my make-up artist plenty of natural light as she worked. There is even a steamer in the room that we were able to use to give my dress a last minute steaming after taking it out of the dress bag. There were so many little touches that I can't list them all, but a few that stood out: As we finished our first dance and got ready for the toast being given by our best friend, Jason magically appeared with our toasting flutes full of champagne. Then when it was time to go from cocktail hour to dinner, he sent the two of us up about 10 minutes ahead of the other guests, to ensure that we would actually have a chance to eat. We had arranged to have chef's stations, but the banquet captain, Harry, served the two of us at our table, item by item so that we could have a little of everything yet remain seated, and kept our glasses full as well. Since we had begun our dinner ahead of the other guests, we finished ahead of them as well, which gave us a chance to go table to table and greet those we hadn't yet greeted during cocktail hour. Harry efficiently organized our sparkler exit at the end of the night, and and sent us on our way with enough leftovers for another meal, along with a bottle of champagne and our leftover cake. I should mention that we also held our ceremony at Dunes West, under the famous "ceremony oak" overlooking Wagner Creek. It is a gorgeous waterfront setting, and we can't wait to see the photos our photographer took! We received so many compliments from our guests regarding the beautiful setting, the delicious food, and the overall guest experience, and would absolutely recommend Dunes West to anyone planning a wedding or other event!

Jason and his staff were FANTASTIC and helped make our daughter's wedding day magical! Jason is an expert in all things wedding and was so very helpful to us during the entire process. Bartenders and servers were exceptional. The food was perfectly cooked and delicious. We truly could not have asked for a better experience!

Beautiful venue, kind and attentive staff, good food, reasonable price. What else is there? We got married here during the off season (~November-March I think) when there is a decent discount and which I would highly recommend to anyone! Jason has done this for some time (17 years now) and has the process down to a science, including developing the day-of schedule and providing miscellaneous tips. Harry helped on the wedding day and was just as amazing. They’re both no-nonsense, no frills and great at getting straight to the point. For example, nudging us (bride and groom) as the schedule slipped behind and asking what we wanted to do next. During dinner, I returned to the buffet line and was dismayed when there didn’t appear to be any rolls left - the bartender caught on and a couple of minutes later as we were chatting with a table of guests, Harry magically arrived with 2 rolls and butter on a plate for us. Small details that mean so much - all of the staff here cares about doing their job well and it shows. Jason was very responsive to emails throughout the planning process and answered all questions with grace. 11/10 would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. Tip: I had multiple people tell me after the fact that the mac n cheese was amazing! (which we had without the chicken)

Dunes West was everything and more that we could ask for. The venue itself is not huge, but perfect for our size wedding, the outside is so unbelievable for photos, all our guests raves about it. The ceremony space was outside under the Spanish moss tree which is one of the major things I wanted and the venue delivered! Jason who helped with the planning process with food and floor plans was AMAZING, I cannot say better things about him. His experience about the venue makes the planning process so easy, always willing to help if needed and as a bride knowing that we can sometimes be annoying, he never seemed bothered at all - he just wanted to make sure everything was perfect, and everything was. The staff was also amazing, Harry was a huge help also! They definitely care about the details and want to make sure the day goes perfectly. My now husband and I had the best day ever and Dunes West and Jason were amazing!

We had the most wonderful experience at Dunes West. First, the location is perfect. It's tucked away on the water, feels "Charlestony", and the views are unbeatable. I used to take Christmas photos at Dunes West as a child and to take wedding photos there was surreal. They turned out beautiful, just from the scenic backdrops alone. In addition, Jason and Harry took care of us any chance they got. I always felt seen and heard by Jason and he was always responsive to my emails. When it came time for the wedding, they really went out of their way to go above and beyond for us. They made the day so easy and so perfect. I'll always be grateful that we chose Dunes West! You won't regret picking this wedding venue!

I cannot say enough good things about Jason and his event staff. Jason is very organized and very accommodating. Jason is very responsive with emails and really goes above and beyond to make sure all your event details are to the 'T.' Dunes West is the perfect venue for a medium sized wedding, we had 120-130. The split space for dinner and dancing was ideal for our group and made it feel like 2 different venues in one. Additionally, the grand oaks by the water feel magical and were the main reason we chose this location. The food was incredible, everyone RAVED about the fried chicken but the whole buffet we chose was delicious! The bartenders&wait staff for the wedding were very present, always asking what we needed, clearing plates or glasses and ensuring everyone was well taken care of throughout the event! If you are looking for a wedding venue that feels magical and makes everyone fall in love, then this is the one for you!

Dunes West was the most perfect location for our 70 person wedding! Not only were they a one-stop shop (which was great since I did not hire a planner), Jason (and Harry!) made everything seamless. They clearly are a well-oiled machine and know how to make sure the bride and groom (and guests!) are taken care of. My guests LOVED the food and commented on how the service was exceptional and accommodating. I have no doubt that the team here helped to make my dream wedding come true!

Dunes West is an absolutely incredible wedding venue!! I must have researched 30 other venues in the Charleston area, and none even came close to the value of Dunes West. It's amazing how many things are NOT included with other venues.. Dunes West came with tables, chairs, linens, dinnerware, parking, catering, a bride and groom suite for getting ready (which you have access to as early as 7am if you wish), and a gorgeous setting for the entire day, from the venue itself, to the 3 different ceremony site options, to the beautiful grounds with huge oak trees, and the river as a stunning backdrop. And most importantly of all, Dunes West has Jason, who is the Food & Beverage Director and point of contact for any and all questions wedding related. I can't even count the number of emails I sent him with various questions, some of which were so long they could have been a book! He answered every single question, usually within 24 hours at that. He and Harry, the Banquet Captain, are there for the entire wedding day to ensure your timeline runs smoothly and that you don't have to worry about anything. The staff at Dunes West even set up the tables and chairs for you, and break everything down at the end of the night, AND they will pick up any and all of your personal items, flowers, and decor, and hold it for you to pick up the next morning if you wish. They made our signature cocktails to the exact recipe that we provided for them, and even had an option for a corkage bar, where you can provide all the alcohol for the wedding and keep whatever is leftover at the end (much more economical!). They even boxed up our cake, and packed us a to go meal from our wedding food, along with a chilled glass of champagne to take home with us that night. The space can hold hundreds of guests, but we had a very small wedding with only 58 people in attendance. We were worried that it may feel too small with so few guests, but the venue has such a unique layout with use of both upstairs and downstairs during the reception, that the size felt just right for our group. I could go on and on about all the little things that made Dunes West incredible, but I'd never be able to name them all. We feel so thankful to have chosen Dunes West for our wedding, as it truly was a dream come true, and was easily one of the best days of our lives!!!

I could not have been happier with Dune’s West Golf Club as the venue for our son’s rehearsal dinner and wedding this past weekend. Jason, the club director was wonderful to work with and has years of experience. Our guests all raved about the views from the club and said it was the most beautiful location, and I agree! The food was amazing at both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, really top notch! But most importantly was the staff. We had a problem with our laptop freezing up right when we were planning to show a video. The banquet manager ran to help with his own laptop and all worked out. A big shout out to Rip who was one of the bartenders both nights. He was so friendly and accommodating, and mixed some great drinks. Our guests loved him and how he engaged everyone in lively conversation. If you are considering Dunes West as your wedding venue, stop looking. You won’t find a more beautiful location, better food, and more helpful staff!

Dunes West offered everything that we were looking for, and then some!!! The team was amazing, Jason was so helpful every step of the way- he not only was super responsive, but he helped coordinate timeline and details of the day. Also, the scenery at the venue could not be better! The amazing moss trees and creek make for the most beautiful background for photos. Cannot rave enough about this venue!!!!

Flawless perfection. Outstanding Service. Dreamy ceremony. Absolutely fabulous food! We can't express enough how perfect our daughter's wedding was- from the very first time talking to Jason, the food and beverage manager, to the final walk through- to the event itself. The location is outstanding for a wedding- gorgeous in itself with almost no need to decorate- we kept our florals to a minimum and were so very pleased! No additional rentals or decorations were needed. Weather can always be tricky, and while we were assured the back-up plan would be executed seamlessly if needed, we didn't need it. The ceremony location under the moss-dripped oaks along the river, with the oyster path for the bride, was simply dreamy and flawless. ALL of our guests absolutely raved about the venue, the service, the amazing, attentive and fast bartenders, the outstanding food, and the incredible beauty of the venue overall. There was not a single issue the entire day. We did our rehearsal the night before with an intimate and delicious dinner. We hosted a bridal brunch during the day while getting ready in the bridal suite, which very comfortably housed our whole bridal party and hair/make-up artists. The staff were extremely attentive, and there literally is not a single complaint. I know I already mentioned the food, but it deserves more praise. I don't think I've ever been to a wedding with better food- ever. There were so many options to choose from- the raw oysters were outstanding- the beef tenderloin was perfect- our out of town guests loved the shrimp and grits station- and the upscale vegetable display (4 different vegetable sides) had guests asking me for recipes! We had so many guests tell us this was the best wedding with the best food, service, and ambience they have ever attended! One little secret? We pulled this together in just 10 weeks. There are NO hidden fees or charges. The communication is easy, direct and professional. Their coordination with our vendors was seamless. Lastly, if you want amazing photographs of your special day, this place delivers. There are so many locations, from the beautiful architecture of the clubhouse (love the Charleston blue ceilings on the balcony, the spiral staircases, the landscaping with amazing hundreds year-old oaks with stunning moss, the picturesque tree-lined drive up to the property, the river bank, the adirondack chairs, the stone walls and the tall hedges.....ALL OF IT! ) We could not have been more pleased with our wedding event- start to finish. (Oh, and because it had rained days prior, some downtown Charleston venues we had considered had to have flooded so we were SO glad we stayed away from downtown)

Dunes West was AMAZING!!! Jason and Harry both bent over backwards to do everything possible to make our day perfect!! They catered food to the bridal suite for hair and make up which was great. The oak trees were just beautiful for the ceremony. The separate ballroom for dinner gives it such an elegant touch. The food was fantastic!! And it’s truly one of the best sunset views in Chs! Our pictures were stunning!! DW were very flexible and accommodating to special requests we made!! We were beyond impressed! I cannot recommend Dunes West enough to the next bride!!

Seriously stop what you're doing and book this venue! We originally planned to try a backyard wedding but it was looking to be too expensive and time consuming and we happened to find Dunes West and put in an inquiry. I was absolutely blown away by how kind and helpful Jason was, and we were quick to book before they ran out of dates. We even decided to move our wedding up a few months sooner, just to be able to have our wedding at Dunes West. Jason kindly replied to every one of my numerous emails throughout the whole process, and he could not have been any more helpful or nice during our rehearsal dinner or wedding day. Jason and his staff (shoutout to the banquet captain Harry) took care of setting up everything, tended to our every needs, and were just so nice! My now husband and I were actually able to eat on our wedding day, and we got soooo many compliments from our guests on the quality of the food and the bar service! The venue was absolutely beautiful, everyone was so accommodating, and the only thing I'm sad about, is that it is now all over! I cannot wait to get my pictures and video back so I can relive the day over and over. You absolutely want to consider this venue for your wedding!

Dunes West Golf Club is THE BEST wedding venue. My wedding was the best day of my life, and I owe it all to Dunes West. Jason and Harry made my day so spectacular and I can't thank them both enough. The vision for my wedding I had in mind I was extremely particular and Jason made it come to life! Not living in Charleston was really hard for me, but Jason made the communication process so seamless. He was so responsive, kind, and caring during the entire wedding process. We visited Dunes West quite frequently leading up to the wedding, and Jason always made me feel so at home. My mom was very particular about certain things on my wedding day, and Jason even blew her mind. The food was incredible, the staff was so attentive, and the day couldn't have gone any better. Again, I can't thank Jason, Harry and all of the staff at Dunes West for making my wedding day so special. Don't hesitate in booking Dunes West, you WILL NOT regret it.

The food was amazing, and the service was top notch. The outside had plenty of room for my daughters wedding ceremony. And the inside had plenty of room for all of our guests. The views are simply breath taking especially at sunset. I can't thank the staff enough for the outstanding job they did. Jason responded to all my emails and made my vision come true. We attended a wedding at this venue and were so impressed that we decided to give it a look for our own wedding. After looking at at least ten other venues, we kept coming back to Dunes West. We knew instantly that we'd chosen the best venue for us. We couldn't wait for everyone else to experience it. Jason and his entire staff (Harry, et. al.) are the absolute best and are so easy to work with. They are accommodating, personable, and made us feel like the most important show in town (not just another wedding). He took excellent care of the bride and bridesmaids while they were getting ready. The ceremony site is amazing (there are three outdoor sites-we chose the big oak tree), the reception dinner was absolutely wonderful and delicious, and the reception area was perfect! Of course, we were worried about rain. Jason had a contingency plan and it was excellent! Jason does an amazing job of keeping the night going in an organized manner. We have received so many compliments from our guests about Dunes West. We had a budget (which eliminated five places in Charleston, Isle of Palms, etc.) and Dunes West was within our budget. Jason was able to provide us with expenses, options, and a total cost based on number of guests-and there was no nickel and diming. Honest and straightforward is what we like and that was another reason we chose this venue. This was a top-notch experience. I'd definitely recommend everyone to give Dunes West a look, as no one will be disappointed.

We have owned a vacation property in a coastal resort community near Mt. Pleasant, SC for 25 years. My daughter has known for a long time that she wanted to have her wedding in the area where our family spent our summer vacations while she was growing up. The first time she and her fiancé visited Dunes West Golf Club they knew this beautiful venue was the perfect choice for their wedding. From their first meeting with Jason Hanson, food and beverage manager, they felt at ease about planning their wedding day. Jason covered every detail from beginning to end. We kept waiting to be stressed about something and it never happened! We were able to relax and enjoy the wedding day without any worries. Even when there was a threat of a thunderstorm about the time for the ceremony, Jason was in his office closely watching the radar and giving us his best advice about proceeding with the outdoor ceremony. We did make the decision to go ahead with the outdoor ceremony and there were only a few rumbles of thunder, but no rain! We just received the photos back from my daughter's wedding that was held earlier this month and they are gorgeous! The natural beauty of Dunes West is breathtaking and made the perfect scenery for the wedding photos. Our daughter and son in law's wedding day was perfect and we are so grateful to the staff at Dunes West for making the day so special!

Dunes West was absolutely the perfect place to get married. We had our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception here. Jason Hanson was amazing to work with from start to finish. He has everything down to a science, but is also happy to work with you for any specific things you want to incorporate. He was always so prompt to answer any questions I had via email. He added multiple special touches to our wedding day, including mimosas for the girls getting ready and took my husband and I up to dinner early so we could actually eat at our own wedding! We had a few in our group with severe food allergies or dietary preferences and they went above and beyond to make sure they still had food to eat. The food was wonderful as well. My sister in law used to work in the wedding industry and she said this was the best buffet food she had ever had. The venue its self is just so beautiful. We had off and on rain all day, but the weather held for the ceremony for us to have it outside. I also feel that the value for the quality of service you get is outstanding. Just go tour here- you won't regret it!

It’s wonderful to work with people and teams that are passionate about their work. There was only happiness working with Jason and the staff at Dunes West. We chose Dunes West over every venue in Charleston/West Ashley because every person we spoke with had wonderful things to say about the people there and their execution of the perfect wedding. Dunes West lived up to their reputation in every aspect – it was perfect. As Mother of the Bride, I managed most of the details with Jason, their wedding director. He is an amazing, kind and generous man – humbly working with you to make your day the most special it can be and make your dreams come true. My daughter wanted some specifics for her day and Jason worked with us to plan, organize and discover how each aspect could be done without taking away from the dream but allowing the venue to do their best. We trusted him completely. Jason and his staff executed our combined plan flawlessly with kindness and great joy. We had the most beautiful wedding EVER. Our guests believed so as well with many emails/texts just gushing on the day. It was perfection from start to finish, the grounds, the set up, the food, the vendors, the drinks, and the staff. A thank you to Jason and his staff does not sound remotely enough for giving us a day of our lifetime. May God continue to shine upon them!!

My daughter got married at Dunes West April 16, 2022. The venue was perfect. Jason was the best from the beginning to the end. He was professional, very attentive, and answered any questions promptly. The food was wonderful all of our guest were raving about it. We could not have had a better experience. I would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend Dunes West & Jason enough for anyone looking to get married. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, both inside and out and there are plenty of different areas to choose from for the ceremony. Jason is prompt, reliable, professional, and extremely knowledgeable regarding all things wedding planning. The morning of our wedding, we arrived to the bridal suite to find champagne and flutes with a note from Jason. We also had staff come check to see if we needed any more champagne or additional drinks throughout the day while getting ready. The bridal suite has plenty of room for hair/makeup and the groom's suite was perfect for their needs. Jason made sure the entire day went smoothly and as planned. Our ceremony was beautiful, followed by photos by the river. During the post-ceremony photos, the wait staff brought the bridal party drinks and appetizers, which I thought was a great touch. Following our sunset photos, Jason led my husband and I to a private room, where we ate by ourselves and enjoyed the sunset. This was one of my favorite moments from the wedding and I highly recommend doing this to spend some time with your spouse during the day. In addition, we got phenomenal feedback from our family and friends regarding all aspects of the wedding. The food was fantastic, certaintly not your typical wedding food and our guests raved about how much they loved dinner/drink selections. We were continually told that it was the best wedding our guests had attended, which is greatly thanks to Jason and his team. I can't thank them enough for the perfect wedding day. If you want an elegant, spacious, affordable venue with delicious food and an amazing staff, Dunes West is the only choice and I'd highly recommend that anyone has their wedding hosted there.

Dunes West was a fantastic wedding venue all around! Jason was wonderful to work with. As an out of state wedding planner with an out of state bride and groom, planning was a bit more challenging than normal. Jason answered my almost daily emails promptly and was extremely helpful. He was there on the wedding day to ensure that everything ran smoothly and was in lock step with me on all of the details. The setting is beautiful, the team is attentive, the food is great. I would highly recommend this venue - you won't regret having your wedding here!

Our wedding will be talked about for years to come because of Jason and his team. The food, the venue itself, and everything else they provided us added to how special our day. The venue and ceremony site had the most breathtaking views, and the guests are still raving about the food. Jason, Harry, and everyone at Dunes West made sure our day was the best day ever. Dunes West Golf Club was an absolutely perfect wedding venue! Jason Hanson and his team are professional, responsive, and were a true joy to work with. We had both the ceremony and reception at Dunes West, and since they provide chairs, linens, tables, and food, we didn't have to worry about finding a bunch of other vendors for those items. They couldn't have made planning any easier, and since they coordinate so many essential aspects of the ceremony and reception, we found that a day of coordinator wasn't even necessary. To top it all off, the venue is absolutely stunning, and Jason and his staff were very accommodating - we planned everything pre-pandemic, and rescheduled our wedding more times than I would like to admit, but Jason made the entire process stress-free. I 100% recommend this venue!!!
