I got all our bridal parties tuxs from here and not a single one of them was correct upon pick up. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE. Absolutely terrible service, they were very rude when I brought up the issue, they told me to continue to have them then return to the store to get it fixed, but we were having a destination wedding, which they knew. The staff had the audacity to say "if it's fixed then it's fine"
We mostly used the Highland location. The service was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. We were thrilled with the suits we ordered, however, a number of guys in the bridal party had to do some switching at the last minute due to wrong sizes even though nearly all had been measured at a Dunhill location. It was all quickly resolved which we appreciated and things went off without a hitch. I'd recommend checking them out as they offer great services including invitations and they really know their stuff.
The tuxedos turned out to be so awesome. I loved the grey. They were also very accomidating and made any necessary changes quickly.
They were very friendly and helped us match our color to the colors they had.
Dont go there if your looking for a deal with free INVITES! But, if your just looking for simple tuxs, but you will pay...they are your place.
Dunhill Tuxedo was one of our best choices when it came to planning our big day. They measure you and take the time to point out all of the different options to choose from. We worked with Betheny a majority of the time and she was great. a few days before the wedding they have everyone come in and try on their suits and if something doesn't fit right, they fix it on the spot! Whether it's lengthening or shortening, they fix it right there. They also give you a card "in case of emergencies" to call and they'll run out to the venue and bring you pants or a tie if you forgot it. They were great to work with!!
For our wedding, we had to work with the Highland, St. John and Merrillville locations.
My husband and I went to pick out tuxedos with his and my mothers at the Highland location (probably too many people, but we were all so excited). After a couple of hours, we had chosen a tuxedo, but not the color of vest or tie. The woman who was helping us wrote down the tuxedo style we wanted and suggested we come back with a vest color after I had looked at my dress to match.
Several months later, one of our groomsmen calls and says that he got measured at Dunhill but they had no record of tuxedo we wanted. We assumed that he meant we hadn't picked out a vest color yet. So several weeks later after seeing my dress again, my mother and I went to the Highland location to pick a vest color. We then learned that they had absolutely no record of us ever having been in the store let alone what tuxedo we had selected.
So, just several weeks before our wedding, we had to start from scratch again. My husband and I live about three hours from Dunhill, so it was not easy for us to drive all the way in to do something we thought we already had done. We had to go to the Merrillville location where the storeroom is so we could have every style in every size at our disposal. We re-selected a tuxedo and vest/tie color.
Then, a couple of weeks later after my father got measured at the St. John location, Dunhill called and said that the tuxedo we had picked out did not come in a size that fit my father. They recommended that we switch my father's tux jacket to one very similar to the original, but a with a little more room. So we changed the order so to accommodate my father. At the same time, I also changed the order for my step-father so that both of my dads would match.
When my step-father brought his tuxedo home just a couple of days before the wedding, we realized they had given him the wrong jacket. They gave him the original one - not the one to match my father. Our wedding was Thanksgiving weekend, so with everything going on with the holiday and getting ready for the wedding, my step-father could not pick up the correct tux jacket until the morning of the wedding.
It was a lot of stress for something that should have been one of the easiest parts of wedding planning. Dunhill repeatedly messed up our order and on wedding day, my husband noticed that his tie was curved and one of his vest buttons came off. Their service was lacking and the quality of their product wasn't the best.
Dunhill is THE place from which to rent a tuxedo. My husband and his friends had rented tuxes from them many times in the past and had no problems. I trust that our experience with our wedding is not a common one, but know that it does happen. Perhaps this could all be solved by digitizing their system rather than hand-note taking.
Very professional and a great selection
Great selection of invitations, some are a little pricey.
Dunhill was great. They had samples to try on, great service, and answered all of our questions promptly.
If you order your tux's through Dunhill, they have free invitations that you are eligible to get. The only thing you will need to purchase is the RSVP cards and Thank you cards, which isn't nearly as much as you would have to pay for if you were buying everything. The quality is amazing!!
I had an excellent experience with this vendor. I had the groomsmen and ushers in just the vest and the groom and dads in the whole suite. I had amazing help with picking out of the tie color and just all around great service. The owner is really really nice and a very sincere.
My husband, dad, brother and groomsmen all got their tuxes from Dunhill. It was so easy to order, the staff were friendly (and put up with my brother's antics), the measurements were correct and they have a stock of shirts and pants always on hand should something change. My husband got the breathable fabric and it was a beautiful tux and he didn't get overheated (even though it was in the 80s that day).
My husband was just in a wedding where they used this tuxedo vendor. One of the ladies in the shop was rude and didn't really know what she was talking about. My husband was very dissatisfied with the fit and feel of his $200!!! tux even AFTER everything was supposed to be fixed as far as size and such was concerned. I know they aren't a large chain but there were a lot of things that were said and done that just shouldn't have been.
Dunhill more than exceeded our expectations for tuxes! This is a family run business and they really care about everyone that comes in there. We went to Mens Warehouse first because we thought it would be easier and they would not even let my husband try the coats on- they didnt have any examples to look at in person. The experience at Dunhill was SO much better and their prices were great. They gave us the grooms, ring bearers and my dads tuxes for free!
The tuxes didn't exactly fit everyone how they should. So please be sure to go there in advance and get them tested so they can make alterations!
They had great deals if you got a certain amount of tuxes. Service Rocked!
Took advantage of the free invites, dunhill was so helpful!
Got free invations with tux rentals and they were perfect!
The men looked great!!
Very good experience. Great tuxes and staff was very friendly. Would have liked to have a bigger selection of tuxes, but ended up with a perfect one. Lots of colors and tie/vest combos to choose from.
This place has great service! Everyone here truly cares about the quality of their products and how they treat their customers. We were extremely happy with the tuxes we rented and how they looked at the wedding. Thank you!!!
The service was standard however on the day of our wedding the best man was missing his tie. Unfortunately, the store was closed by the time the guys started getting ready so they had to run to the mall - luckily they were able to find a good enough match. I believe each of the groomsmen spent around $100-$150 on their tuxes, with the groom's & ring bearer's being free.
I trust dunhill more than any other tux rental shop in the area. They did make a few mistakes for our wedding. Both of the fathers' tuxes were wrong, and they fixed the problem right away. The one thing that did bother me was the ring bearer tux. They had ours try on different brand of shirts than they actually wear under the tux, so the "real" one didn't fit for the wedding and he had to wear the "try on" shirt from the shop at last minute. Also the jacket didn't fit him perfectly and they said they couldn't make adjustments. We were still happy with the tuxes and the deals they give the ring bear and groom.
My invitation turned out perfect. The staff was so nice too!
Our tuxes were from Dunhill and they turned out great. Our ringbearer got a free tux, and if we would have had one more person, they would have received a free tux. None of the groomsmen had any problems, even one from out of town.
My invites were exactly what we wanted. They came back in record time and were perfect.
there was some confusion over the free invites but it all worked out
great looking tuxedos
I absolutley loved working with Dunhill! Katie is amazing and was so helpful through the entire process. I did all my invitations and tuxes through her. Even the guys said the service was great when they went to pick up tuxes the day before the wedding. Prices were comparable and service was the best! I will be recommending them in the future.
We were very happy with the service and help we received at Dunhill. The prices were reasonable and we had no issues with fittings, pickups, or drop-offs. We would recommend Dunhill to anyone who asked.
Such great staff! This is a family-owned business that loves to serve its customers. Great selection of colors and styles. Easy to work with and very helpful. They also offer invitations and other stationery. They have a sister company that does everything wedding! It's a great one-stop place for everything you need.
We used the Merrillville store for our wedding. If your wedding party is 5 rentals or more, the groom's tux is free. That was awesome. All we had to pay for was his shoes! They are helpful. You also get a set of coupons that come in handy. I liked the one for the bridal store next store. We were pleased with everything. (The cost depends on which tux you choose.)
Excellent service and pricing
I had originally signed up for another tuxedo vendor at a bridal show...gave them a $10 deposit and was offered all this free stuff. But their prices were high and they were pushy.
I went to Dunhill and loved the attention I received! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly! Plus, they have such a variety of tuxedos that fir any budget...as well as their free invitations promotion.
I think another think that makes them stand out is that they have been a family owned business for several years...and they treat you like you are more than just a number, like a big corporate entity would do.
Dunhill really came through for us!! We had a tough color to match with a burnt orange but I brought a swatch of the girls' dresses in and they matched it perfect!!!! Everything looked awesome!!
Everything was great until my husband spilled a drink on his white vest before the ceremony. He called the emergency number and picked up a new one at the nearest location! Phew. He looked great :)
Use was of Dunhill Tuxedo's was one of the best! John, the manager/owner (I guess?) was superb to work with. My husband and I went in there and he is a tad bit shorter than I am and although I was wearing flats the day of the wedding, John went as far as to find him make that had a little bit of a lift on it, like platforms. They were funny looking, but it worked and he was the same height/slightly taller ... it was kind of nice :). We picked a more pricey tux, but it was nice because it was breatable material. That's what you need when you get married in June. All in all, great experience.
