About this vendor
Celebrate your special day at Dunn Gardens, a 1915 Olmsted-designed historic garden located just north of downtown Seattle. Our 7.5 acres of luscious Northwest native plants, meandering paths, and a peek-a-boo view of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, never cease to amaze guests. This is truly the most beautiful garden in Seattle!
There are many reasons to choose Dunn Gardens for your wedding, but one of the nicest things about celebrating here is that we only do one wedding per week, allowing you and your vendors to begin set-up on Thursday with a final clean-up on Monday.
We are currently only booking micro weddings for 2023 and 2024. Our maximum capacity for micro weddings is 40 guests, smaller weddings are more appropriate for our beautiful garden space. We are flexible and always enjoy working with couples to create the wedding of their dreams.

My daughter had her reception here and it was the highlight of the wedding week. Every single person said this was one of the most beautiful venues they had ever seen for a reception. Staff was nice. Worth every single penny.
Dunn Gardens (the team and the venue itself) were absolutely incredible to work with. As an anxious bride who initially booked in 2022 and rescheduled for 2023, the team was so accommodating, kind, and supportive throughout the process. The venue speaks for itself in how incredibly beautiful it is, so I think it is really important to highlight how amazing the dunn gardens team is. Do yourself a favor and book a tour today!
I booked with Dunn Gardens for my wedding and ended up having to cancel my booking (for reasons unrelated to the venue), but I absolutely loved the beautiful venue and working with Carolyn. It's one of the best private outdoor venues that are still really in the city of Seattle. It was designed by the Olmstead brothers and is spectacularly beautiful, but still feels intimate. Carolyn is a dream to work with. They only do one wedding a weekend, so you can set up tents and rentals on Thursday and tear them down on Monday if you'd like. Everything is very chill and it's a spectacular canvas for your creativity. Highly recommend!
Okay. I really don't know where to begin. Dunn Gardens is INCREDIBLE. It was a magical experience from the moment I spoke to Carolyn on the phone, to the moment we toured DG as our first (and only) venue, to the moment we tied the knot on the Tennis Green.
For starters, Dunn Gardens is a seven and a half-acre ENORMOUS venue, with incredible photo ops everywhere you walk. There are three huge garden areas that are all priced into your wedding plan. There are secret lil paths, picturesque cottages, and flowers EVERYWHERE. We bought the package for the whole garden and are so glad about our choice. There was so much room there, we could have fit 200+ guests, however due to COVID-19, that obviously didn't happen.
Carolyn was there at 9 am the morning of and she was ready to work. She set out parking cones, helped up us set up a router for our wedding Livestream and so much more. Carolyn - if you read this - thank you so much for all you did - you really helped make our special day that much more special.
Perks of using Dunn for your special day: There are a ton of areas that you can use for your ceremony and after-party, they don't have a list of people you are required to work with so you can bring whoever you want to help make your day special (bouncy houses, cotton candy machines, photobooths - you name it!) -- the one thing they do ask is that you use CORT or Alexander for tent rental - their prices are totally reasonable and seeing as its an outdoor venue, you might want to book a tent. They are incredibly helpful in offering up whatever you need - you can start dropping off stuff for your wedding the Thursday before and pick it up the next Monday, they have a ton of things leftover from other weddings that you are free to use - lanterns for tealight candles, about 50 wooden chairs, tons of linens and so much more. No matter what you envision for your special day, they will help make it happen.
As an added perk, because DG is a non-profit, a part of your payment for the rental gives you a tax break and a membership to the garden!
This really was the best place to get married and I HIGHLY suggest taking a tour.
We explored a number of options in the Seattle area and eventually settled on Dunn Gardens for it's intimacy and charm. The venue was wonderful to work with, and the grounds allow for a number of party sizes and layouts. Be sure to ask about restrictions, as this is nestled in a neighborhood. The Gardens are absolutely beautiful, and work for both an upscale, elegant wedding or something more casual. We had our dream day here, and would highly recommend this venue!
This is Seattle's best kept secret! They only have 5 or so weddings a year so they don't advertise but man, it was the best! You have to visit to see how beautiful the gardens are. The staff was very helpful and flexible from the first time we visited until after the wedding. My guests were blown away by the views on the large lawn where we had our reception but also loved the coziness of the tennis green where we had our ceremony. You can use any caterer and vendor and pretty much create the wedding you want.
