Eagan Community Center

We choose the Eagan Community Center because we wanted an outside ceremony with an inside reception and I wanted a venue that could host everything the day of. So the brida party arrived at the community center early in the morning to get ready and we were there all day without having to leave. Also my husband and I are pretty outdoorsy, so we wanted a space that would allow us to take photos with a more outdoorsy feel. The trails around the community center and the pond gave us the perfect photo backdrops. The rates were beyond reasonable and the community center is so accommodating for everyone and everything you can think of. I docked one point because when I originally booked the community center I worked with a lady named Jen, then when I reached out with questions this past spring I found out on my own that Jen no longer worked for the community center. There was no communication around this or that they hired a new event coordinator. That being said, Seth the new event coordinator is absolutely amazing! He is open and honest about what the community center can and cannot do and what will work. One thing to note about the community center is that they have a list of four caterers that you must choose from to use, so no outside catering aside from their list. If you’re looking for a one stop shop venue on a budget, definitely consider the Eagan Community Center!

Staff were kind and professional with generally prompt responses. Only downside was staffed changed 3x during the lead to our wedding and it didn't always go smoothly. But the venue was beautiful!

We loved getting married here! Our ceremony and reception were held here in August 2020. It was a teeny tiny wedding, and we had to change everything multiple times due to Covid, but the venue was the least of our worries! They were very communicative, flexible, and positive. This was the perfect backdrop to our photos and provided a relaxing, intimate atmosphere to spend time with our families.

The Eagan Community Center was the venue of our wedding in August 2019. It was an absolutely beautiful location for our wedding. They have a nice outdoor area for bridal party pictures as well as an outdoor ceremony. They also have a nice indoor option for the ceremony in case you are like us and don't want to worry about whether the weather will be good the day of the wedding. We did rent draping for The Oaks room which worked out great. The ECC allows you to split the cost for draping if you work with the vendor to do it. Overall we were very pleased with the venue. We received a lot of complements on the venue from our family and friends.

The Eagan Community Center was absolutely perfect, and we loved working with Jen and Carrie. The outdoor space for our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and our guests loved the big ballroom for our reception. We got so many compliments (even a month after our wedding) on how beautiful the entire venue was. The only "downside" is having to choose from one of their 4 required food vendors.

We had our reception at the Eagan Community Center and it was perfect! They were so easy to work with and they made sure things were exactly how we wanted it!

My daughter held her wedding reception at ECC and Baba’s catered. It was an awesome venue with amazing food. Everyone was easy to work with. The guests commented on how nice it was; spacious, fantastic view and walking paths etc.. In regards to Baba’s catering, several guests said,”That was the best wedding meal I have ever had”. You will not be disappointed.

The community center was amazing for our wedding!! I wanted a winter themed wedding and the floor to ceiling windows made you feel outside with the comfort of inside. Working with Jen was so easy, she thought of ideas that I hadn’t and made sure everything we wanted came true. I can’t recommend this place enough!!

This ticked nearly all our boxes. Reception and ceremony all in one place? Check. Affordable? Check. Rooms for the wedding party to get ready in? Check. Gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows for natural lighting? Check. Beautiful grounds for stunning outdoor photos? Check. Helpful coordinator? Check, check, check! We are so glad we had our wedding here. Jen, the coordinator, was so responsive and helpful, and the venue was gorgeous! We used minimal decoration, and it was stunning. The ceiling drapery, which we commissioned through another vendor, absolutely transformed the space. The venue was also very accessible for our elderly and handicapped guests, which was especially important for our winter wedding—we didn’t want anyone slipping! All in all, 10/10 experience.

We could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding! Jen was great to work with and she was always quick to respond to emails, especially when I had questions about last minute details before the wedding. The outside park area is gorgeous, so we had a ton of different areas that we could use to for our wedding photos. On the day of the wedding the staff was super helpful and answered any questions or concerns I had and they were more than willing to accommodate last minute requests, like needing an extra table and closing off an area of the walkway to make our ceremony more private. It was important to my husband and I to have both our ceremony and reception at one venue and to stick to a more conservative budget, so ECC was a great choice for us! I had several guests comment on how beautiful the venue was, and they appreciated that there were a lot of hotels close by as well. I would highly recommend this venue!!

GORGEOUS site, indoor and outdoor! The main reason we picked this venue was the fact that if it rained we would have an equally beautiful indoor option. We had a lot of compliments from guests on how gorgeous the site was. Also very reasonably priced with several catering options so the price wasn’t driven up. Jen was very responsive and accommodating to any needs and questions we had.

We absolutely loved having our October 2017 wedding here! The rental for the space was relatively inexpensive for both the ceremony and the reception to be held there. Jen and Lori both worked with us to make our day run as smoothly as possible. We originally planned for an outdoor ceremony, but when it rained the day of our wedding, they made our “back up” indoor option look more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. The large amount of windows in The Oaks makes for great natural lighting, and the view from those windows is lovely. Would absolutely recommend.

This was a great venue for my husband and my reception. We chose this place for the beautiful grounds and the you huge wall of windows in the hall, the parking availability (I really didn't want parking to be a hassle for guests like at some other venues), and that it was a great value for the price. The pond and gazebo are beautiful and made for some really lovely photos. During the dancing portion, it was perfect to take a break by the pond in the cool night air and look in on our guests enjoying the celebration. Jen is great to work with and was super helpful on making the space work for us. The venue is contracted with certain food and drink vendors so our options were limited, but that also meant they had established relationships and the vendors knew the venue well. We are overall very happy we chose the ECC.

I would highly recommend this venue! We held both our ceremony and reception here, and received so many compliments on how beautiful it was. Our ceremony was on the patio, with the fountain serving as a perfect backdrop. The grounds were great for pictures (there is also a gorgeous gazebo to use), and it was nice to have space for our guests to get some air throughout the night. For our reception, we rented out The Oaks rooms. The wall of windows allowed for a beautiful glow once the sun began to set, and also made the space feel much bigger than it was ! We rented out all three sections of The Oaks, using the first two for our reception ( we had~90 people and this was an ample amount of room) and kept the South section walled off to use as a "getting ready" and storage room. We worked with coordinator Jen Saver, and she was amazing throughout our planning process. She quickly responded to any question we had, and took care of scheduling the vendors arrival and departure day of which allowed us to relax and focus on being present in the moment.

This is an AMAZING venue! We had our September 23 wedding here, and it was a dream venue for us. When we started our initial search for a venue, we were having trouble finding a space that we loved. A coworker recommended we look at ECC, and I was a little hesitant with it being a "community center". However, once you are inside the ballroom, you feel like you are inside a country club. The floor-to-ceiling windows are BEAUTIFUL and the views of the walking paths, pond, and wooded areas make you feel like you are secluded in your own world. We had a smaller wedding of 150 people, but I loved that there was enough space for people to move around and take a break from the dance floor if they needed to-- our guests were able to step outside on the patio, or move into the bar/lobby area to jump in our photo booth. Jen was amazing to work with throughout the whole planning process. She was quick to respond to all calls and emails, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our event. She had a great relationship with all of the vendors we used, which minimized the amount of work and communication I had to do with every vendor. The entire staff that worked on our wedding day was wonderful as well. We were planning on having an outdoor ceremony, but we ended up getting rained out and had to move everything indoors. The staff was able to quickly flip the ballroom and make it look like we had been planning on an indoor ceremony all along. Everything came together so smoothly and effortlessly. I can't say enough good things about the Eagan Community Center and the staff. I highly recommend booking this venue for your wedding!

Gorgeous, easy to access, helpful staff, up-to-date facility. Nothing negative to say about this beautiful, unique venue!

We had our May 15th wedding reception at the Eagan Community Center. As my husband and I were from out of town, I wasn't sure how this would all come together. Jen was wonderful to work with, as well as being very helpful. The venue itself was beautiful, as was the view outside. It was perfect!

The Eagan Community Center did an AMAZING JOB! I can't even remember the amount of times I asked questions and the response was "We will take care of that." I loved the neutral space and huge windows facing out the the park. It was the perfect setting for our October wedding.

The eagan community center is located on such a lovely spot. The grounds are lovely, parking is simple, and the reception hall is updated and classic with large expansive windows showcasing the outdoors. Jen the coordinator is very nice and easy to work with. I'm an annoying type A person so I was worried that I may bother her but she reacted the opposite of how I had predicted and loved that I had a clear vision and the answers to all of her questions right off the bat.

We held our September Ceremony and Reception at the Eagan Community Center. This is a beautiful venue at a great value! The staff at the ECC are so easy to work with and were very accomodating to our needs. One thing to be aware of is that because this is a public park, other wedding parties and groups may be taking pictures on the grounds during your event. The ECC staffs the trails during your ceremony so it's not a problem but you may encounter others while taking pictures in the park. There are three approved caterers so you have some choice in that regard but there is only one approved alcohol service provider. We found this to be somewhat frustrating in terms of cost comparison but the other benefits of the ECC more than outweighed this particular point.

Melissa Wind was our contact at ECC. Meetings with her were simple and quick - she always had answers to our questions. The banquet space at ECC is very simply decorated as the floor to ceiling windows allow tons of natural light and the greens & patio behind the room are really pretty. Kindof wish there were a few more food vendors to choose from.....but on the flip side that made things easy since looking for someone you want to hire is like looking for a needle in a haystack! Keep in mind, if you serve alcohol, you have to pay for a police officer to be on duty during the event.

The room and area around the community center are beutiful! All of the staff we worked with were great and very helpful.

I absolutely loved having my wedding here. Beautifull places inside and outside to take pictures and many places to have an outdoor wedding.

Melissa was super easy to work with, everything went great. in the beginning of planning she was very flexible with us when we had a few hang-ups in the planning. The center was beautiful.. we have received many compliments!

The ECC was a beautiful venue! The outdoor photo ops were amazing, which is why we chose this venue for our reception (and the photos turned out just as great as I had hoped!), and the inside was lovely as well! The people are very straight forward and easy to work with. Great reception venue!!

The wedding venue was absolutely gorgeous! My husband and I received a lot of compliments. I could not have picked a better venue.

Beautiful wedding site. My husband and I were trying to find an inexpensive yet beautiful site for the reception. We decided to do our wedding on a Friday to save some money. The ECC turned out better than we imagined! The outdoor space was perfect for pictures and the guests had a great time walking around the outdoor space before dark. We were very pleased with the site!

Our reception at the Eagan Community Center was BEAUTIFUL!! The room was more than large enough for our 180 guests and the wall to wall windows are gorgeous! Plus the outdoor patio and gardens were wonderful for our guests to lounge and to take pictures with our wedding party! Great value!!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Eagan Community Center. The outside grounds were beautiful and perfect for an outdoor ceremony and the Oaks rooms were perfect for the reception! Melissa Wind was great to work with and super helpful in the entire process, including any last minute mishaps on the actual wedding day. I would recommend this venue for anybody that wants a easy, non-stressful wedding day!

The community Center did a great job coordinating all my vendors and made the plan B indoor site work beautifully when it rained.

I loved this place! It was gorgeous and the people were very helpful!

We used the ECC for our 6/20/09 wedding. We loved the space - open banquet room, big patio included in the rental, beautiful grounds/gardens for our guests to enjoy and to use for pictures. They also ceremony space, but we did not need that. The service was adequate but not exceptional. The site coordinator, Melissa Wind, was thorough but clinical; she got the job done but with little charisma or charm. I'd give the ECC 5 stars if the coordinator was a little more personable and initiated our discussions. I found myself emailing her to ask where we needed to be at this stage in the process. If she were more proactive, I'd give the ECC 5 stars. We had no problems with the venue at all! Would recommend it/use it again in a heartbeat.
