is an unbelievably beautiful place. Our wedding event coordinator from Eagle Ridge was an absolute pleasure to work with, and everything went smoothly. All of our visions came to life thanks to her hard work. The rest of the staff was also amazing. Our guests kept telling us how intimate and beautiful our wedding was. They also mentioned that the food was delicious and they couldn't get enough! Thank You Eagle Ridge, we will remember our experience with you forever!

From the initial tour answering all of our questions, to our tasting (AMAZING FOOD BTW), to coordinating with vendors and lastly, the day of - Maggie was attentive, helpful and a key reason why our day was as magical as it was. The venue itself had our guests in awe with the holiday decor and overall ambience of the event. They loved that they had access to free shuttles to and from the event. They loved the food - we've heard nothing but good things about the soup, dinner and sweets that were served. I keep replaying the weekend over and over again and can't wait to make our way back to Eagle Ridge to relive it. 1000000000/10 can't recommend this place enough!

The ENTIRE staff at Eagle Ridge was beyond accommodating and welcoming to all of our guests. so many compliments from guests about the food, but the best thing about Eagle Ridge is the fantastic staff. From planning to the wedding day, everything went smoothly. Maggie and her team are extremely prompt, professional, and detail-oriented; Maggie was so helpful during the planning process by providing us with resources, suggestions, timelines, and reminders as needed. Maggie and her team made sure everything was taken care of and went smoothly for the ceremony and reception, which meant my husband and I could focus on spending time with our guests. ime again. Maggie worked with us for 18 months in helping to plan our perfect day. She was so kind and so responsive throughout the entire planning process and was always a calm and steady presence. She had great ideas of her own due to her many years of experience but was also willing to hear our ideas and helped make them possible/come to life. On the big day, Maggie, Sarah, and Alisha were all so present and so helpful - making sure everything was running smoothly and was going as it should. They were all so wonderful to work with! The food at the wedding was DELICIOUS! The hor'dourves during cocktail hour were great and the spread at the dinner was absolutely incredible. We did the “stations” option and have heard from MANY of our guests that it was “the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding and beyond.” Our little desserts + cake (from Carolyn!) were also delicious and everyone loved the variety and options they were able to choose from! We also had the Stonedrift Spa team do the bridal party hair and makeup - they were awesome and the hair and makeup held out all day. Abbi was great to work with to help with day-of logistics and the hair/makeup schedule, Ashley was so kind and wonderful to work with while doing our hair and made our visions come to life (I don’t know how she does it!), and Madison was fun and so kind - it was impossible to not be laughing and enjoying yourself while she was doing our makeup. They were so incredible and did our makeup/hair right onsite, which made it so easy when it was time to get ready! (We also enjoyed a couples massage at the Spa the day after the wedding - Jennifer and Todd were fabulous!) The Eagle Ridge Reservations team was also great to work with, making sure we had the right lodging and accommodations for our guests. The hotel and villas/rental properties were perfect for our guests and the shuttle made it easy for folks to get around! The whole hotel staff and team were so kind and welcoming to our guests. Mike helped coordinate a golf outing that was perfect for the groomsmen + family/friends in town on Friday and was so flexible when we needed to increase our group size. The group had a great time and it was definitely a highlight of the weekend! We couldn’t be happier with our decision to get married at Eagle Ridge. The Galena Territory has always been so special to our family, but it is even more special now. The location was stunning (Point Patio deck for the wedding and the Ballroom for the reception), but it was the Eagle Ridge team and their hard work and kindness that truly made this the most special day. Thank you Maggie and team for everything! We can’t wait to come back to visit.

All around our experience was incredible. Our day ran so smoothly, looked gorgeous and our guests had the best time. We did not have to worry about a thing, down to Maggie grabbing me a drink before hitting our cocktail hour. We could not have had the fun, magical and love filled wedding we did without Eagle Ridge. outout to our wedding planner from Couture Events, Suzanne Halaska, she was amazing and kept everything running smoothly since day 1. We had the ceremony out on Point Patio with the gorgeous backdrop of the lake. *MAJOR shoutout to Samantha Ritchie (our florist) who went above and beyond to make everything look beautiful.* Cocktail hour was also on Point Patio which gave guests beautiful views of the lake. The reception was held in the Eagle Ballroom which was decorated with greenery and looked AMAZING. Better than what we could have even imagined. During sunset we stepped out to the deck and it made for some gorgeous photos. Overall, we were very pleased and grateful to have our wedding here. Alisha & Maggie were absolutely phenomenal and kept everything running smoothly. So many guests commented on the resort and the small town and how much they loved it there. We will certainly be back to celebrate our anniversaries and will be staying again in their lovely houses/villas. **Houses and villas made for a GREAT part of the wedding weekend. Highly recommend having your wedding here with Alisha & Maggie and highly recommend using the florist Samantha Ritchie. Oh, and Jess Farlow is THE BEST officiant. Everyone commented on him and LOVED him.

had to postpone our wedding due to COVID, and she was right by our side the entire time - extremely flexible, comforting, and kind. My favorite thing about having our wedding here was that everything was in one place - the ceremony, the reception, and the lodging for guests. Guests didn't have to travel from one place to another or worry about shuttles. It was truly a perfectly seamless day. Our timeline was executed perfectly by the staff, leaving me without a single concern! During photos and cocktail hour, Maggie and other staff were consistently checking in on my husband and me, asking if we needed anything, bringing us water and hors d'ouevres to make sure we were getting time to eat. You can tell the wedding office is 100% focused on giving the bride and groom the best day possible. We highly recommend Eagle Ridge for weddings, and we are so grateful for all of their hard work.

Planning a wedding (twice) during a pandemic was far from easy but we never worried about our wedding venue or our vendor team--each and every person we worked with was so thoughtful and patient with us during such an uncertain time. nning a 250 person May 2020 dream wedding. Spoiler alert: that didn’t happen. What DID happen turned out to be even more perfect, thanks to Maggie and the rest of the team at Eagle Ridge. They made the decision to postpone our wedding as painless as possible and Maggie helped us to reimagine our day as it evolved into a 50 person weekend getaway with a reception dinner. Thanks to Maggie we were able to relax that whole weekend and spend quality time with our guests. She helped plan a welcome dinner at the Highlands Restaurant, golf with the groom, a hair and makeup team for 11 of us, lunch and mimosas during our getting ready time, the reception, AND a farewell brunch. Throughout planning and the actual weekend she and her team were very attentive and made sure every detail was taken care of. The property itself is gorgeous and has so many amenities to offer for a wedding venue. Our photos around the property turned out beautiful and our guests were so impressed with the scenery on Point Patio, where we had our reception. Our meals were all so delicious, and our guests are still talking about the Sinnablast dessert we got for each table to try- an Eagle Ridge specialty. We looked at multiple venues before we initially booked, all in Illinois and all on a golf course. The prices were pretty comparable, but Eagle Ridge had everything we were looking for and we are so glad we decided to have our wedding there!

We had to downsize due to Illinois restrictions and change up seating arrangements and food service, however Maggie still made the day ours! Our guests raved about feeling safe and clean the entire event indoors and outdoors. They loved the food and being able to make weekend getaways themselves in Galena. The bridesmaids loved a spa day while the groomsmen enjoyed a round of golf the day before. We wish covid wasn't around, but were still so glad to celebrate our love in an unexpectedly perfect way at Eagle Ridge!

yond expectations. Colin, Maggie, and Sasha helped bring our special day to life and made it one we'll never forget. From multiple ceremony rehearsals that Sasha and Maggie endured at our request to last-minute accommodations to Colin's multi-store trek to secure bug spray for us (of which we didn't end up needing as it was beautiful weather), we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Following our ceremony, we held a small dinner party at House 540 which was the perfect setting. This was our "home base" for the duration of Labor Day weekend and the majority of our family stayed in this house. It was very clean with plenty of space for fun and relaxation! My Dad was even able to squeeze in a round of golf over the weekend. As a non-golfer, I'll take his word for it when he says its a great course to play. Regardless of why you're visiting Eagle Ridge, make sure you check out Thunder Bay Falls. Patio Point and Thunder Bay Falls are perfect for the 'gram. We live in Chicago and our original plan was to have our wedding party at a hip bar in Wicker Park for 150 of our closest friends. COVID obviously changed those plans drastically. While it wasn't our original plan, we are grateful that the circumstances pushed us to Eagle Ridge - a beautiful place to safely spend a long weekend with our close family & friends and create an ever-lasting memory.

When we were unable to get married in April of 2020 (thanks Covid) she helped us pick a back up date and was there with us through it all. Luckily, August 30th we were finally able to have our day! The entire staff was so accommodating there! They made our day incredibly special. We are forever grateful of Eagle Ridge staff and also the Stondedrift Spa staff too. They made my girls and I look beautiful and made our morning of the wedding so easy. Julie has the entire morning planned, which let me relax (as much as I possibly could). If you’re looking for a rustic, elegant venue in Illinois- this is your place! The scenery is breathtaking!

The ceremony in front of the large windows was magically, we had a sunset ceremony and the pictures are stunning! I do wish there was a privacy curtain for the aisle, however everything was perfect!

We rented houses for our bridal parties + families- which made getting ready for our wedding so easy + fun! The houses also allowed us to spend more time with our loved ones + it felt like one big, best friend reunion. The guys loved being able to golf, while the gals explored downtown! With all of the festivities, the complimentary Eagle Ridge shuttles were perfect for traveling safely within the Galena Territories. The food and service were excellent!! I highly recommend doing the sweets bar as well, as that was a huge hit for our guests + a phenomenal display as well! I also loved being able to have the option to do late night snacks for our guests - the pizza helped to refuel those dancing spirits!! We had our reception in The Eagle Ballroom which is rustic + natural with its beautiful wooden beams, chandeliers, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Lake Galena and let's not forget about the AMAZING deck they have as well that is perfect for cocktail hour + you want a fresh breeze + stunning views. Point Patio is where we held our ceremony + it was absolutely beautiful- it also overlooks Lake Galena and is is surrounded by tall trees. The resort itself offers so many amazing amenities for guests to do + have which help make your stay so memorable + relaxing! I truly felt my wedding day ran so smoothly because of my all-star vendor team + the staff of Eagle Ridge were INCREDIBLE!! Special shoutout to Maggie Truppa - one of the wedding coordinators! You are in excellent hands under her guidance!!! ! She made the planning process enjoyable + and eased my stress with how responsive, patient, efficient, organized, professional, kind, and genuine she was! Any bride is lucky to have Maggie as their coordinator! She is such a great communicator with every email + phone call + all throughout the wedding day!! There were no surprises on my big day, because they really ensure that all the big things + little things are decided and covered. I can honestly say that my wedding day went so smooth because of her + how organized Eagle Ridge is and I could not be more grateful. ked with three different wedding planners at Eagle Ridge, all of which were phenomenal, especially Maggie Truppa. We had our wedding downtown in Grant Park and our reception in the main ballroom back at Eagle Ridge. The customer service at Eagle Ridge is first class. We rented their signature home #604 for the welcome party and that was wonderful. The bellman repeatedly came out to deliver ice and fresh towels and pick up any garbage. The reception couldn't have gone any better. Maggie coordinated everything perfectly with all of our vendors and the night flowed perfectly. I would recommend Eagle Ridge to anyone! Oh and we also had a 60 player golf outing at The General (signature golf course) and they gave us a great rate and treated us awesome. The course was in great shape too! here were a few things that didn't go as planed, but overall - I would recommend it!

our ceremony at the Point Patio, and our reception in the Eagle Ballroom. There isn't a place on the whole property that doesn't have stunning views. Our guests raved about their accommodations. The villas there are gorgeous and spacious. I knew absolutely nothing when it came to wedding planning, but Megan took me, my husband and our parents by the hand and guided us every step of the way. Eagle Ridge is clearly set up so well for weddings, which was already amazing. They have the classiest materials and decor and all the staff know exactly what they are doing. It's a venue with everything already built in, including the wedding planner. You can customize as much as you want to, or let them do all the work for you (which we chose to go with). They will work directly with your vendors and coordinate everything. Megan basically read my mind and created the wedding of my dreams. She's also an amazing person and super fun to hang out with, so wedding planning was always a blast! She answered all of my and my mom's crazy emails that we sent at all hours of the night (and looked at all of my pictures of our cats) always with a smile on her face. She worked extremely hard to make sure everything was perfect for us. Everything went SO smoothly the day of the wedding. Megan and Rika either had everything under control from the get go or they were just amazing at solving whatever problems popped up along the way. Either way, I knew nothing of any issues whatsoever and was able to fully focus on the perfect day and the most amazing celebration. Everyone had an absolute blast and kept talking about how it was the best wedding they had ever been to (objective fact). It was the best day of my life and I would absolutely recommend Eagle Ridge as a venue to anyone who's looking.

ncredibly helpful and sweet. She had answers for everything. We live 3 hours from Galena, so planning a wedding from afar could've been challenging, but Megan made it easy and fun. We had the most beautiful photos thanks to Unposed Photography. The ballrooms are huge, perfect for large weddings. My favorite part was the wood beams across the ceiling. It didn't feel tight or dark ever. They have a great outdoor balcony that surrounds the ballrooms for some fresh air. Couldn't have been happier with Eagle Ridge. I cannot wait to celebrate anniversaries and family get togethers here for a long time to come! Thank you every at Eagle Ridge for providing us with the wedding of our dreams.

Can't say the same about everyone on the eagle ridge staff but really who can? The overall experience was flawless and truly the best day ever!!! Just a tip: be sure to remind them to open the blinds all the way if that's what you want. Day of I wasn't paying attention to the windows but after getting my photos back they are hard to miss.

The reception space was beautiful and the photos taken there turned out really well. The food was good, there were many options to choose from. The chef was very flexible and open to suggestions and questions throughout the planning process. The spa did a great job getting us all ready for the wedding, it was nice that they were right on property. Overall, we would highly recommend Eagle Ridge for any size wedding. I am sure it is especially beautiful in fall and summer when you can utilize the outdoor spaces, too.

The Point Patio location was lovely, and we went with a full tent liner which was just perfect. Everyone had a great time and we will return to Eagle Ridge to relive the happy memories often!

with her responses. She was very enthusiastic about our wedding and helped with anything she possibly could, even the details that I hadn’t even thought of. Eagle Ridge has many weddings under their belt and they absolutely know what they’re doing. They do an amazing job of putting you in contact with vendors if needed, like my last minute request to have string lighting in our fabric treatment and to have a backdrop for our head table. I thought it wasn’t something we could do but I just mentioned it to Megan close to our wedding and BAM she put me in touch with their fabric/lighting guy and it turned out beautifully. The staff at ER is very helpful and welcoming. I kept hearing compliments from all our guests about how beautiful the place was, how helpful everyone is, and they were all blown away by the lodging. Prices are super reasonable. They do not nickel and dime you which we really appreciated. When we first started researching venues, it seemed like every place had a cake cutting fee. It was like $2 for cutting each piece, which is like the price of the cake if you’re just getting a straight up buttercream cake. I think that’s just ridiculous! I’d cut my own cake then lol but I loved that they weren’t super stingy about charging us up the wazoo wherever they could. The prices were very good and didn’t detract from the quality. They are definitely worth every penny. With all their experience with previous weddings, their logistics are on point. Multiple times I would be worried about how certain items would get where they need to be or the timing of events, and Megan was very good with her ideas and reasoning. I love Megan; our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without her (and Kelsey, our other wedding coordinator at ER in the beginning, props to her too!). A lot of it was my little random ideas for our wedding but she was integral with the execution of it and helped keep me in check with the end goal. She’s wonderful and anyone would be lucky to have her as their wedding coordinator! I still suggest ER to our newly engaged friends even though I want to keep it for myself lol.

ar. Our cocktail hour was out on the Point Patio and our reception was in the Ballroom. We had so many compliments on how beautiful the resort and wedding were. Our guests loved that they could rent houses to stay in and several people took advantage of golf and other amenities of Eagle Ridge. For a semi-destination wedding we couldn't have asked for a better day. Megan was our go to person the entire year of planning and the day of the wedding. She was always available to answer any of my detailed questions and ensure we were on top of the planning process. We were able to form a great relationship where we trusted her on the wedding day to set up the decorations,floor plans, etc. without questions. Thanks Megan and Eagle Ridge!

Only a few hiccups- there were a few errors in the seating chart that they didn't catch and some other minor details such as the lighting not being appropriate for some of the dances at the start of the night. Also, sound of the music was a bit low, but that was probably the fault of the DJs.
