A+++++++++++ Jess and her team recently worked magic during my birthday and wedding combination weekend. When looking for a wedding planner, everyone I knew gave me advice. While I had no clue how I’d get there, I did know the vibe I wanted ...and the type of person who would work the best with my husband and me. After speaking with several potential planners, my gut told me to go with Jess. I knew when I first spoke to her she understood what I was looking for, she could work with Pete and my personalities, and most important, she knew things I didn’t even know I needed.
Jess met with me over the phone and in person several times in the months leading to the wedding. She is super patient and has great software that makes keeping track of everything easy, organized, and visually appealing. No other planner I spoke with was anywhere close to being as organized as Jess.
My events spanned a Friday and Saturday night. On the Friday, instead of a rehearsal dinner, we had a great welcome celebration and birthday party complete with multiple vendors, a cigar roller, caterers, multiple favors, gifts, and guest speakers. The next day, she coordinated our entire wedding on a yacht where she managed not only the hired vendors, such as the magician and caricature artist, but all of the yacht staff. She and her team were on time and made sure every vendor, person and item were in their place. When I would ask a question, she said “It’s handled.” There were several last minute requests from myself and my family and friends – such as placing multiple life-size celebrity cutouts all over the boat and giving every single guest written nicknames. She and her team jumped right to each task, were friendly and responsive. In fact, one of my friends, who acted as a guest chef, said he couldn’t have managed without her help. When things got hectic, she was working with him, side-by-side – even though he wasn’t even one of the vendors she was there to coordinate. He can’t stop talking about what a great job she did.
I got married a little later in life, and while my goal was not to have a frou-frou wedding, I did want the vibe to be fun, comfortable, but stepped up enough that people who flew in from all over the world felt welcome and appreciated. I just didn’t know how to get there. I can tell you without a doubt, she was the reason why my criteria was met. When I had trouble making a decision, she offered solutions. When other people would suggest pricy items, she would deliver the same at a much better price and quality. Her eye for the right amount of elegance and detail for my vision was right on. She knows the area and the vendors well.
My new husband and I are incredibly picky people. We like hiring those who are productive, on time, and get things done without having to be reminded. Not only did I never have to remind Jess about anything, she was always reminding me and all our vendors what to do. My new husband, who can find a flaw in Mother Theresa, said he cannot think of one thing to criticize about Jess or her entire team and wants to make himself available if anyone wants to speak about their work directly with him.
The biggest kudos were from the guests. I was told by several people that it was the best and most unique wedding weekend they’d ever attended. I could go on and on and on about Jess and her team. While my husband was the one I married, she and her team made my dream come true!
