When I started planning my wedding with my husband, one of my priorities was finding people who could help us have a stress-free day. We recently attended several weddings where we experienced not-so-great coordinators, vendors, and stressed-out brides. After many referrals, we decided to use EBJ as our wedding coordinator, and let me tell you, the team is amazing! Jessyca is organized, efficient, and understanding of the entire experience. She kept us on track throughout the day, making sure we had enough time for all the little things we wanted. She patiently listened to ALL of my questions, and many of our vendors complimented her on how organized and on top of everything she was. Not only did she keep the day moving, but she did it all with a smile on her face! We're so thankful for her. Alongside Jessyca, she brought her team, which consisted of T’arra, Sara, and Ilana. These ladies were awesome and really on top of every situation. They worked really well together while keeping me in the loop. I also have to give a special shout-out to T’arra, who was my bridal assistant for the day. What a wonderful person to have around during all the emotions of the day! She had all the right answers and helped prepare me and the photographers for what was coming next. She knew what to say when emotions were running high, and I genuinely just enjoyed chatting with her. I could go on and on about Jessyca and her team. One of my best choices was hiring Jess and her girls for my big day! :)

Budget for the planner! Next to buying our house, our wedding was the most expensive day of my life. Thanks to Jessyca and her team we were able to enjoy the day. We knew every vendor we hired was reliable and worked well with the rest of the team. Situations happened, because no day is perfect, but they were promptly resolved with no effort on my part. There was a delay in the kitchen. She re-ordered the timeline. She spoke with the DJ and the festivities continued. No one knew that there was an issue. Closer to the wedding date, it was determined that I needed additional day of assistance. An extra fee that was well worth the money. MariJose was assigned to stay with me throughout the day. She was amazing. I felt truly pampered. If I needed water, she took care of it. If I needed to go to the bathroom in my giant gown, she was in the stall with me! All my questions or requests, she was on top of it. She laughed with me at all the silly situations, calmed me down when my bridesmaid went MIA, googled how to change my name on my social media because I was so excited to be married! She was the most reliable bridesmaid ever!! She will forever be a beautiful memory of the happiest day of my life. I know it’s an extra expense on an already expensive day but it is the best decision I made. The only thing worse than having no planner is having a bad planner. I was lucky enough to know previous clients of EBJ. I knew the day would run smoothly and I could just sit back and enjoy being a bride. I wish the same for every bride and I hope this review helps you make the right decision for you.

AVOID!!! 1.) Marite lost grooms suitcase for his honeymoon in the church, when asked she lied to the bride/stated it was never in her possession (when the bride witnessed firsthand where all of the items were placed and saw that it had been turned over to the coordinator). Luckily bride was confirmed with the church that it was in Marite’s possession and had been left in the church by her. Bride sent screenshots of the church confirming this to Marite which was the only point in which Marite admitted she made a mistake. The married couple had to leave their honeymoon suite at midnight to grab the grooms suitcase, which had to be left outside in a bush per the church’s policy. 2.) Insisted bride pay to hire additional staff but then proceeded to dismiss the staff three hours before the event was concluded 3.) One of the coordinators had four hours just to set up tables (they were given labeled bags for each table containing labeled ziploc bags for each seat containing all the items required for each seat). The set up should’ve taken no more than an hour. 10 minutes before the reception started, Marite runs up to the bride, tells her she just realized that table numbers had not been set up and she didn’t know where they could be, asking the bride if she had any ideas on how to fix this problem. 4.) Marite went into the grooms bag without permission and pulled out a master bag of tips in envelopes and distributed them without permission/discussing with anyone (including her own which she absolutely would not have received). This led to tips incorrectly being given which were meant for the event the day after the wedding (even though every single envelope was dated by the bride) leading the bride and groom to lose $400 in unintended tips. 5.) Included the priest in a group message to wedding vendors. The priest reached out to the bride to let her know this was grossly unprofessional as the priest is not a regular wedding vendor, and something he has never experienced in his years of doing weddings at this church. 6.) Two days before the wedding, Marite (lead coordinator) became unavailable, and when asked stated that she was working on another corporate event and would be too busy until the day before the wedding. Just understand she will not prioritize weddings. Sent the bride a minute and a half voicemail complaining about her own life which the groom listened to and was in shock and proceeded to spend only 30 seconds answering one of the brides three questions that had been asked over the past 72 hours. 7.) had the grooms divorced parents pose together when it had clearly been stated this picture was not desired 8.) had a groomsman run inside to get the grooms grandparents who had already taken photos, causing a 10 minute delay in an already tight time window in taking bridal party and newlywed photos 9.) interrupted the photographer from running the photo list by trying to run the photo list herself, did such a poor job that the bride stepped in and had to call her own family up to coordinate the photos. It was clear they hadn’t even glanced at the photo list prior to starting to call up the family members which had led to this chaos. This led to two families on the grooms side, not having their picture taken with the bride and groom. 10.) Per one of the vendors, Marite was extremely rude to all of the vendors and started off the wedding day by telling all the vendors that she was going to “yell at all of them today”.

They help me plan and coordinated my daughter’s wedding. Marite is absolutely the BEST. I only contracted them for day of coordination but she was available for the 9 months prior to answer any questions and give suggestions. My daughter lives in NC and her husband in MA and the wedding and me were in Miami, FL, so her coordination was invaluable. On the day of she kept everything running smoothly and on time. Marite had told me that her goal was for me to have a glass of champagne in my hand and enjoy the day. That is exactly what happened. I thank her from the bottom of my hear!

WOW EBJ! If you are looking to be the bride and really just not worry about a thing - the EBJ Team, Specifically Marite, Rudi, and Mari are the best! They made sure our day was a dream, they doubled up as babysitters for my 3 yr old, made sure champagne was in hand, and I just did not worry about a thing. My day would not have been as seamless if I did not have them by my side. The Weber family appreciates you guys beyond!

Hiring EBJ Events was by far the best decision we made for our wedding! Marite and her team, MariJose and Rudy, were absolutely amazing. From the very first call, Marite guided me through the timeline, offering great suggestions and knowing exactly what needed to be done. I always felt confident that she had everything under control, which allowed me to relax during the stressful month leading up to our wedding. On the big day, I had zero stress because I knew Marite and her team were managing every detail. Jess and her team were absolutely incredible! Jess did my sister's wedding 2 years ago and did such an amazing job that we had to use her for mine. From the very beginning of our wedding planning journey, Jess was incredibly organized and provided us with a detailed to-do list with deadlines. Our regular check-ins with her kept us on track and she was always available to answer any questions we had. Jess also provided excellent vendor recommendations, and all of the vendors we used were top-notch. The day-of execution was truly flawless. Jess, Leslie, Olivia, Eliza, and Logan were all incredibly helpful and professional. Leslie seamlessly managed the rehearsal dinner and brunch, ensuring everything ran smoothly from setup to cleanup. On the wedding day, the entire team was incredibly attentive and proactive, anticipating our needs and ensuring everything went according to plan. Their positive energy and can-do attitude were contagious. They were always there to lend a hand, offer support, and make sure we felt relaxed and comfortable throughout the entire day. We couldn't have asked for a better team to help us bring our dream wedding to life. We highly recommend Jess and her team to any couple planning their wedding. Their expertise, professionalism, and dedication are truly exceptional.

I cannot recommend Marite and the EBJ Team enough. Marite and her team (Leslie, Rudy, T'arra, & Brenisha) turned all of my dreams into a reality. I hired Marite as a month of planner and she DELIVERED. After getting her caught up on all of the planning I had done throughout the past year, Marite took the reigns in bringing my vision to life. She organized all of the vendors, created the most detailed timeline, and made sure the rehearsal dinner, welcome party, and wedding day ran smoothly. Leslie and Marite were my hype women the entire day, calming my nerves and making sure I had everything I needed so that I could focus on marrying the love of my life. Rudy helped my parents with everything that day so they could truly live in the moment. From our very first meeting to the day we said, "I do," Marite and her amazing team were nothing short of phenomenal. We hired EBJ Events for partial planning and would definitely repeat the decision if we had to do it over. We originally hired partial planning because our work schedules are very busy and we thought we just needed the extra help. We quickly realized we were getting a lot more than extra hands, as there were numerous things I never would have considered without EBJ, and I'm certain our event would not have turned out anywhere near as amazing as it was without their team. We worked with Jess (the owner), Leslie (our lead planner/ main point person), and Erin, Eliza, and Ivanka for extra hands during the wedding day. A few highlights: -They are incredibly professional and very responsive -They were flexible with our busy work schedules and Leslie constantly made herself available during non-traditional business hours to make our lives easier -They are open to feedback and easily made adjustments as requested -They keep you on track rather than you needing to reach out to them (great for busy schedules) -They were knowledgeable and have many vendor options based on a couple's vision. They will not recommend a vendor unless they are confident you will be happy with the results. They also negotiated a refund on a non-refundable item from a vendor without me asking them to do this. -They have the right mix of going with your vision and knowing when to suggest changes to make your event perfect -Leslie kept great timing on the actual wedding day so everything I wanted to happen was executed as planned without me having to even think about it - I felt like I was the guest of honor rather than a host and I think that's what everyone wants on that day Overall, they're fantastic. I always wondered how I'd feel about spending on my wedding after the fact, and thanks to EBJ, we had just the best day and it was so worth it.

We hired EBJ events for our month of coordinators. They were great! As a DIY bride, I didn’t think I needed to hire a month of coordinator, but I was wrong! They handled all communication between vendors and curated a detailed timeline to ensure the wedding day will flow perfectly. They scheduled weekly calls leading up to the wedding to keep everyone in touch and make sure everything was on track. During the wedding day, they made sure everything was going as planned and never left the bride alone. They also made sure to get great iphone footage for the bride & groom to look at the day after. They were all so kind and Mia never left my side! The only thing I will say (which is my fault for not realizing this) is to REALLY make sure you add every detail you want into the timeline. For instance, I didn’t add that I wanted to get photo shots of my mom helping me put on my dress or that I waned time to give my in-laws their wedding gifts. We ended up moving the timeline around to get the shots with my mom, but I never got to give my in-laws their gifts. Again, this is my fault for not being specific enough before the wedding. This is just a heads up for all future brides. Overall happy with their services.

Marite was absolutely incredible! From our initial consultation to the big day, she made sure that our vision for our wedding came to life! All of the details on our wedding day were handled so wonderfully by Marite, Kylee and Sofia so that we could enjoy the moment. I would highly recommend Marite and the EBJ team to anyone looking to have a memorable wedding or event.

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Leslie and her amazing team ( T’arra, Mia, Eliza, Miranda, and Sofia) from EBJ events. They make dreams come true! My big day went absolutely smooth, with their immense help and guidance -- it was all possible! I couldn't recommend them enough.

We worked with Marite as a coordinator for our Wedding and she and her team seriously made our day-of SO effortless for my fiance (now husband) and I. First, if you are debating hiring a coordinator for your day-of, I would HIGHLY recommend doing so. I am extremely organized and timely and even still I would've never been able to execute that day without their expertise. Hiring a coordinator will fully let you experience the day while it's happening and not get caught up in the little things. Marite and her team truly made it such an easy and enjoyable day for myself and the groom. We both were so impressed with how the coordinators were able to wrangle all of our wiley bridal party and get everyone where they needed to be and on time. Small details like having little bites from our cocktail hour and a glass of champagne before we joined our party seriously made it perfect. We actually had the space to ENJOY our wedding and I seriously cannot recommend them enough. She knows what she's doing and you can see all of their professionalism shine through. Mari (one of the coordinating assistants) was with me all day and she made it so easy to communicate and was honestly such a relief to have around the whole day. She was so helpful with EVERY little thing. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR AND HIRE THEM, you will not regret it a bit!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot write enough wonderful things about EBJ Events, and specifically Jess Canal. From the start of wedding planning, all the way through the day after our wedding, Jess and her team ensured every step was easy, organized and well thought out. She has the most incredible working manner that lets you know she has everything in control, at a time where things feel anything but. To the actual wedding day! We got married in February, and I had the absolute, most relaxed, wonderful day. I attribute so much of that to Jess and her team of assistants. I knew I didn't have to worry about a thing because she had prepared me for what we needed to get done to make the day relaxing. If anything did come up, Jess was so calm and took care of it with ease. I'm so incredibly grateful for her guidance and demeanor throughout the process of wedding planning! Ebj team did an excellent job coordinating my wedding day!!! I can’t thank them enough! I have never seen that punctual, fast, efficient and extremely professional team before. Absolutely the BEST! Jess and Leslie took care of every little detail. I couldn’t have been able to plan my daughter’s quinceañera without them. As someone who is not native to Florida, our wedding was technically a destination wedding, which means we were unfortunately not able to be there in person to keep a close eye on everything to ensure a seamless wedding experience ---this thought really stressed us out. Thank goodness we found Jess with EBJ and all of our worries soon quickly dissipated. From the moment we met her, we knew we were in good hands. Jess spent over a year with me over the phone ironing out all of the details of the big day-from vendor recommendations to budget saving tips and more. (I will miss our phone calls! lol) When the wedding day came, I could actually take in the moment and enjoy myself. We had an amazing team- Jess, Leslie, Marijose and Bella the day of the wedding that truly took care of us. From making sure we had enough to eat/drink to making sure my lip gloss was fresh and touched up to accounting for all of our belongings etc--you guys really took care of all of the details. We had an amazing time and our guests were raving about how much fun they had and what a beautiful wedding we had. We could not have done it without you! Can't recommend them enough! Planning our wedding was the least stressful experience and it’s solely because of the EBJ team! Jess was amazing from the moment she took our first call. She secured vendors for us with the best rates. She organized everything. She kept us on track planning wise. On the day of our wedding, she came in with her team and nailed everything just the way we wanted it. We didn’t have to worry about a single thing on our day! We were very pleased with EBJ and in particular with Janete Aburto, our wedding planner. Due to several factors, we only had about four months to plan for our wedding. Hiring the EBJ team was one of the best decisions for our wedding. From our first conversation to the last conversation everything was extremely professional and detailed. I appreciate Marite and the team for making our wedding day as seamless and stress free as possible. There are no words to describe how amazing this company is and their planners. We stumbled across them about 5 months before my wedding in a panic when we were deeply disappointed with the planner I had at the time. We knew they had great reviews and now we see why. Changing plans and going with this company was the best decision we could’ve ever made for our wedding. Marite especially is one of a kind. My husband and I had an incredible experience working with team EBJ on our Arabic Indian fusion wedding. We started working with Jess right after we signed our venue contract, about 9 months before our December 2023 wedding. Jess went to work right away, helping us create a budget and priority list. As a couple planning from out of state, her guidance in choosing vendors was invaluable. We did not spend a single minute searching for vendors, reaching out for pricing, or anything of the likes- Jess clearly outlined potential vendors options, including pricing, availability, and brief comments. We were very happy with each wedding vendor, from photo/video to henna artist. Jess's monthly to-do lists kept us on track with planning, we never once felt stressed about the wedding planning process. As our date approached, Jess helped us create a minute by minute timeline for all 3 of our wedding events (Sangeet/Welcome Party, Ceremony/Lunch, Cocktail Hour/Reception). She also coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure logistics were managed. Jess's experience planning large fusion weddings was a deciding factor in our decision to work with her, and she did not disappoint.  During the weekend of our wedding festivities, Jess along with Leslie, Tarra, Shurroq and Marijose went above and beyond in coordinating all events. Jess managed the timeline to a t, an impressive feat for a multi-faith, multicultural wedding with 350+ guests. We actually could not believe that we were ahead of schedule after our Hindu-Christian wedding ceremony, with 2 priests and countless rituals, and photos with both extended families. Both my husband and I had a member of the team by our side at all times. It was an incredible surprise when I realized that the gals had been taking content on my phone throughout the weekend. This is just one of the many examples of team EBJ going above and beyond to make our weekend special. Jess and the team are friendly and warm, and did everything in their power to make our weekend stress-free and extra special. We always had a plate of food and favorite drink waiting for us, T touched up my makeup more than once, Leslie was our bodyguard as we snuck around the venue to take professional photos between events. When we wanted to make small changes to the timeline on the day of the event (to allow for more time for pictures with our close friends), they knew it was important to us and helped make it happen. When we arrived back to our hotel suite after the reception, team EBJ had cleaned our space, hung our wedding ceremony outfits from the morning, and left a special surprise for us. We can't say enough good things about working with Team EBJ - from planning to day of - and would absolutely recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in South Florida. My husband and I had a long engagement and we knew we wanted professional help to plan the perfect day. Our main goal on our wedding day was to feel like rock stars and have everything delegated. Marite and her lovely team did just that. Our venue recommended EBJ Events and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Marite is a total powerhouse of a wedding planner. She’s professional, a fabulous project manager, and became a friend in the process. Marite was our guiding light through a litany of unforeseen circumstances that would have left us in shambles if we had tried to do it on our own. We were forced to make some serious decisions very close to our date. Without Marite’s expertise, we could have easily made the wrong choice, paid more money than we needed to, or ended up legally bound in a bad contract. Marite went above and beyond trying to make the wedding of our dreams happen and she more than succeeded. My maid of honor even told me that out of the five weddings she was in this year, no wedding had gone as perfectly as ours. We will forever be indebted to Marite and all that she did for us over our multiple years of planning. If you’re deciding whether or not to hire a planner, do all that you can to make it work in your budget. The amount of stress that was lifted off our shoulders and insider knowledge we received was priceless. Leslie, Janete and Erin were absolutely amazing in helping me execute the wedding of my dreams. From the communication, planning, logistics, and delivery of the big day everything turned out absolutely perfect. Planning a destination wedding was not easy but having EBJ was critical and made all of the difference. Everything was timed perfectly, planned out to the minute, and detailed exceptionally. Every question I ever had was answered and then some. We always had doubts whether or not we needed professional planning and coordination for our wedding, but it was absolutely worth every penny. Never hesitate to hire them, they are absolute lifesavers and we had the weekend of our dreams. It couldn’t have gone more perfectly if we tried, and our guests will be talking about it for years to come!!

The first thing we did when planning our wedding was hire EBJ. Living in PNW and getting married in Key Largo felt like a huge task, but Jess made planning our destination wedding simple, easy and fun. Jess's wedding planning software was a huge help - when I got impatient with the 18-month process, I could pop into the app and see what tasks were coming up, or simply shoot Jess a text or email and she'd respond almost immediately. Jess handled all of the vendor negotiations (the venue was a particular beast) and offered up great vendors for us to choose from and helped keep everything on track, even when my parents redlined the daylights out of their contracts. While the planning support was great, it was the day-of support that really blew us away. Jess and her team (T'arra, Shurooq and Claudia) were incredible! T'arra was with us all day and felt like family by the end of the night, going so far as to facilitate my sweaty husband's wardrobe change - she knew he needed a new shirt before he did! The ladies went above and beyond and did an incredible job. We can't recommend EBJ enough!

Picturing a dream wedding and attempting to make it happen are two different things. I planned for 2 years and Marite always made me feel at ease and special in every call. My sister was recently married, and when I got engaged and started planning she told me. “Get yourself a wedding day coordinator! DO YOU HEAR ME!” I usually do not take my little sisters advice but she was so adamant about it, that I figured it was for a reason. Let me tell you! Indispensable! An absolute need for your big day! Shurooq the assistant who I had met the day of was lovely and sweet, she made sure I was hydrated and didn’t let me lift a finger. Let me tell you cut costs where you have to, if you have to, you want to be able to relax on your day! You are spending so much time , money, and energy. We recently had our wedding on the weekend of 11/11/23 and are still in complete shock and amazed with how our vision came to life. We are very particular with how we want things and Marite exceeded our expectations. It was nothing short of a dream. We are a same sex couple who wanted a traditional family oriented wedding and Marite helped us fit our non-traditional requests into a beautiful timeless event. We could not be more happy with our partnership over the last two years leading up to the big day! We are located in Boston and we’re not local to the Miami area however, working with Marite made us feel at total ease throughout the planning process. Because of their hard work, attention to detail, organization, efficiency and prompt response to all our questions- our wedding day was not only spectacular but we really got to enjoy every moment without having to worry about details and hiccups in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and most importantly the big day itself. Jess responded to every question, no matter how tiny a detail, and made excellent recommendations for every little thing- from big vendor decisions to details like wording our wedding website and invitations, guest list management, contingency plans for weather. It was amazing. Each and every vendor that Jess recommended was TOP NOTCH. We had not one issue with vendors. Jess worked seamlessly with our venue. When there were last minute changes to be made to the catering order, Jess provided guidance that made those changes easy to implement. When could not fit a cake/dessert tasting into our busy schedules, Jess provided a vendor recommendation and lets just say- no one was disappointed in the amazing desserts. On the day of the wedding EBJ had team member Leslie by my side all day long, answering every question I had, helping me get everything I needed, holding my purse, etc. It was a dream. They also went above and beyond to help with every detail of our wedding party—truly not one of us had to worry about the details because EBJ handled it all. In fact, they were so on top of things/schedule that we were actually ahead of schedule on the wedding day. The were very well organized and extremely professional in the way they interacted with all of our vendors and guests. Janete’s communication was also TOP NOTCH the month leading up to the big day, she was there for me every step of the way. Her communication was fantastic. When our photographer canceled on us a week before, Janete put us in touch with one of her preferred photographers ASAP, who turned out to be excellent and we were so lucky to have hired them. On top of being the most amazing assistant the day of, Janete put in thoughtful details in everything we worked on, from the way the venue was set up to the meticulous timeline she laid out for us. As mentioned, Janete and Edith were both amazing the day of!!! They went above and BEYOND to help me and my bridal party. Both made it so I didn’t have to worry about a single thing during the day/night. It was a huge bonus to have pictures on my phone the next day - Edith made sure of that and I was so appreciative of this, knowing photo edits take a while. I hired EBJ as my 6-week coordinator. I specifically worked with Marite leading up to the day of the wedding. She really guided me during that time with her best recommendations and made sure to keep me organized and up to date on everything. She took care of everything else for me and emailed all my vendors and scheduled everything with them for the day of the wedding. It was amazing to not have to worry about dealing with those details as I was getting closer to the wedding. The day of the wedding she kept checking up on me while making sure everything at the venue was going seamlessly. Her and her team kept me on track and on time while making sure I wasn’t stressing about every detail. It rained for a little while at my wedding and I was truly so scared and nervous that it would ruin the night. But Marite made sure to get all the lights and music back on and make sure that my party started back up. In the end, it was an amazing night and I owe so much of it to Marite and her team at EBJ for working so tirelessly to make sure the night was exactly what I wanted.
