I had an absolutely wonderful time trying on dresses here! The help was phenomenal! Kim expertly handled the experience and made us feel as comfortable as possible even with the pandemic happening. There was a bountiful selection of dresses and I felt very at ease selecting my favorites to try on. My fiancé’s mother even found a dress! I can’t thank Ediths enough for the wonderful experience!
Amazing and affordable dresses and alterations. There were some scheduling mishaps but the service was overall great!
We had to cancel last minute (48 hours before) due to a positive COVID test in our family. One of their super nice associates reassured me we were doing the right thing and that because it was COVID related and out of our hands they had a "No questions asked" policy and promised us a check refund for our tux rentals minus the $30 rental fee per person. (there were 7 total which was over $1,000) When I contacted them 3 weeks later to inquire about the status they didn't have one. I received a call back from an extremely rude associate saying "the owner changed their mind & would not be issuing a refund as promised". I asked to speak to the owner and was sent to voicemail. I left my contact information & sent and email and no one got back to me. Also sent a message via FB messenger hoping to get some kind of response- but nothing. The staff here is super unprofessional & not accommodating what so ever.
Wedding planning is hard enough yet alone during a pandemic. I highly recommend using ANY other vendor that will honor their word and work with you should you need to cancel due to COVID-19. Edith's is NOT the place- I will NEVER recommend this vendor to another couple.
My experience with Edith’s was great! The person who assisted me when I first came in to try on dresses was extremely helpful and friendly. They were also very helpful in finding me a veil that matched perfectly. I had them do some minor alterations, add a bustle, and add sleeves to my dress, and let me tell you, those ladies can do miracles! My sleeves looked like they were made with the dress, and my dress fit perfectly after they did everything they needed to do. The person who assisted us with the alterations during my appointments was also extremely nice and exceptionally helpful. I would highly recommend checking them out. I live in Appleton, and the drive to Fond du Lac was definitely worth it in my opinion. They have multiple floors of dresses!
All of the ladies at Edith's were wonderful to work with. I got my gown there and my mother in law found her gown there as well, and they made it a great experience! We even were able to customize my dress with a beaded belt. I also used their in house alterations for my dress. Each appointment I had made me feel more and more comfortable. They are very professional and friendly. Thank you Edith's!!
I purchased my beautiful wedding dress from Ediths and proceeding the bridesmaids dresses with Ediths and let me tell how how wonderful they are! Any inspiration you tell or show them, they take above and beyond! Never sticking their opinions where it isn’t wanted. Stephanie especially is just a dream! Feels like she’s one of the girls! I would highly recommend working with Ediths.
Edith's was wonderful to work with. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful, from the sales associates to the seamstresses!
I LOVED my experience at Edith's! I worked with Carol and she was a delight to work with! I would definitely recommend this place to all of my friends who are looking for wedding dresses.
The only change I would suggest is that they should look into getting more hours (especially after work hours) available to brides who come for alterations.
I would never recommend this store. The customer service is absolutely terrible! From the moment we walked in we were left alone waiting for assistance. Walk-ins and others customers took precedence over me as the bride. I was left standing on the pedestal well over 3 times for over 5 minutes while my consultant left to help someone else. Then she was pulled away from me and replaced by someone else. Neither consultant or the owner herself listened to anything I had to say and were terrible at pulling dresses that I even liked. Example: I said from the beginning I want a dress with an A-line or natural waist silhouette and she pulls a fit and flair. I also said I don't want a lot of lace and she pulls a full lace dress.
Finally, as if all that wasn't enough, they were extremely pushy trying to get me to put money down on a dress. I wasn't a bride to them, I was a potential sale. Even the 2nd consultant told me there was no reason for me keep my other appointment I had that day. The owner started to asked to see the dress I really liked from another boutique I had visited earlier and immediately started to rip the other dress apart right in front of me.
When we went to leave, not only were we seriously behind schedule due to their lack of attention but they refused to tell us the designer and name of the one dress I did like saying they can't provide that information until a down payment is made. What reputable place does that??? Save your time and go somewhere else that treats you like a bride and solely caters to you!!
I got my wedding dress at Edith's and my bridesmaids also got their dresses at Edith's as well. The staff was very helpful when I could not make decisions and helped me to pick out an amazing dress. I also got my dress altered there. I wish I could remember the name of my seamstress that did my fittings because she was amazing! Overall, it was a great experience. I would highly recommend!
Lots of options to choose from, friendly service and representatives, timely alterations, good seamstresses....however the only downfall was my dress ripped in the same place they said they had fixed and made more durable; my maid of honor had to see it twice. Otherwise they were very good....just have to double check they their work a little.
Edith's was extremely helpful and professional in selecting and purchasing/ renting bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen tuxedos. Having majority of our bridal party from out of state, I was nervous about ordering bridal party attire. However, they made the process flawless and confirmed every detail multiple times. They offer so many bridesmaid dress options for all sizes and price ranges. The dresses took a long time to come in- however, that is more of a manufacturer issue. The groomsmen attire was phenomenal. The hems were custom sewn or adjusted to each man before the wedding to ensure a perfect fit. They were extremely patient and offered great advice for coordinating attire.
they have a wide bridal selection and they have options if you are on a budget!
very helpful on the phone and the seamstress even came out to talk options about a dress I was considering
The bridesmaids dresses were beautiful when we finally picked them out. The shop personnel were not helpful at all and actively avoided being seen so they would not have to help us. They did not call to let me know that the dresses were going to be late arriving from the designer and I had to find out by calling several times two weeks after the original arrival time.
I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding and this was our second stop on the list of stores for bridesmaid dresses. We came in and nobody would help us, they were just standing around. When it came time to try on dresses they didn't have clips to help fit the dresses to our bodies, did not let us take pictures of the dresses to make future decisions, and we're very unprofessional and childish. I will not return to find ideas for my wedding.
Susan was very helpful, picked out the perfect dress for me!
My overall experience here was average. I went with Edith's because of the location convenience and am now wishing I would have went with my gut and drove the extra 50 minutes to the first place I tried on dresses. I did purchase my dress from Edith's due to convenience. First, the measurements; I was in between sizes so they talked me into going with the larger size, which in the end was too big even tho there was a corset back (I had wanted to lose more weight before the wedding but wasn't able to unless I wanted to pay an additional $200 to have the whole dress taken in!) Second, you don't have the same alteration person for each appointment, so you end up with different opinions from them (the first lady told me to get a certain heel height so I purchased a pair of shoes which ended up being too low for the dress, hence having to purchase another pair!) Also, I had purchased a belt to be added on to the dress and at my final try-on my cousin noticed the belt was sewn on crooked in the back!! Which then had to be taken off and sewn on again. Lastly, when it came time to bustle for the reception, one of the hooks was not there, so while walking around talking with guests my dress fell and I had to have friends safety pin that area up. I would recommend that if purchasing your dress here, you request having only ONE seamstress help you through the ENTIRE process!!
I've been to ediths a couple times andeach time is a very positive experience . We went tonight to pick up a bridesmaid dress and they even squeezed in time for me to show my wedding dress to my grandma who hadn't seen it yet without an appointment! We also browsed the main floor for a dress for my mom and grandma and with some very patient, attentive and friendly help from Stephanie left with the purchase of theirs too. Overall I'm happy to say ediths staff and selection make the hour an a half drive seem well worth it!
The girl at the alterations desk was very rude. She rolled her eyes and made some pretty nasty faces at us. She also made some pretty rude comments. We were only in the store for about five minutes to pick up a dress. I would never go back again.
Wow!!!! Wish everything was this easy. Needed a last minute tux and Edith's delivered with great efficiency and in the usual friendly, Midwestern manner.
Thank you for such professional service.
Finding a dress that I really loved made the whole experience worth it, although my initial impression wasn't the most positive. When I arrived for my first appointment and shared the top of my budget (which was VERY conservative), the lady from the Bridal department was somewhat rude, telling me that the pictures I had brought in (more for silhouette than designer) were out of the range I wanted to spend. The manner in which she interacted with me was not lost on others in my party. While I didn't have the greatest first impression, my mom did share that she had better interactions with the same salesperson on subsequent visits.
Aside from this one encounter, I found the staff at Edith's to be very professional and personable. The consultant I worked most closely with, Ashley, was extremely down to earth and helpful. The seamstress that met with me during my fittings was also very nice to work with, and did a great job on my alterations. My dress looked beautiful!
My mom also got her Mother of the Bride dress at Edith's, and we had a great experience with the staff member helping us here as well. We tried on many, many dresses, and she was very patient with us, offering advice and support in running to get different sizes and styles. Overall, I would recommend Edith's to other brides.
I purchased my dress from Edith's. I was a little worried at first because there were only a few dresses that I liked in my price range. However, once the stylist found out what I was looking for, she went in back and found the dress I ended up buying - it was in my price range, fit me perfect and was absolutely stunning!
Alisha was wonderful to work with! I knew I had found my perfect dress, once I saw it! Just perfect!
I loved my wedding dress from Ediths! Big sweetheart neckline ball gown. Lots of dresses to try on. Have to put a $300 non refundable deposit down to take pictures or know the designer of a dress. I would recommend them!
I just wanted to write a letter to you all to let you know what an amazing experience I had picking out my wedding dress with you this past weekend. I had never even tried on a gown until I came to edith's and I was feeling very nervous leading up to the appointment. But you were all very welcoming, very professional and very prompt in your services which made it so relaxing and fun for myself and the women I brought with me.
And even though we did not have an appointment downstairs to look at bridesmaids dresses and tuxedos, we were given so much help and attention and had such a good time looking around, trying different things on and experimenting with colors.
My cousins all came to Edith's years ago to purchase their wedding gowns and that is why I chose to come to edith's too. With the amazing experience I had, please know that I will be sure to recommend Edith's to my friends and family for their weddings to come and I hope that one day I can bring my daughter back to find her wedding gown as well.
You truly made my experience wonderful and for that I am so grateful. I can't wait to come back for my fitting and also to bring my bridesmaids in for their dresses. Thank you!
I had an amazing experience at Edith's! This was my first place looking at wedding dresses and had no idea what to expect. I worked with Kathy and she was so patient and great to work with! I went in not intending to buy but when I put my dress on I just knew it was the one. We brought in a seamstress, Carol Ann, and I explained my ideas to her and she showed me them spot on!
I am so happy with my experience at Edith's and I plan on coming back for all of my wedding needs!
I heard about Edith's from my sister since she stood up in a different wedding earlier this year and everyone got their dresses there. I was so impressed by the number of differnt styles and colors of dresses. It was very easy to find what we were looking for!
Great deal on an off the rack sale dress. Originally 700, got it for 300. But in the end I ended up paying 500 because the alterations were done incorrectly twice. Then on my 3rd fitting it had to be altered while I was there to fix it(because it was 4 days before my wedding)for which they did not charge me. What I did notice is that measurements were NEVER taken. PINS were always used (thanks for the extra holes in my satin dress)and three different people had there hands on my dress for alterations which is probably why the notes on what needed to be done were not carried out correctly.
I loved my experiences at Edoth's! The ladies at Edith's were super sweet, accommodating and kind every time I walked in. They were helpful and respectful when picking out my dress and accessories. Once I found the dress, the seamstress, Jane, was great and very, very detailed. They were fun to work with and answered all my questions politely! They made me feel beautiful in my dress! Would definitely recommend!
I found Ediths to be extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They have a large variety of dresses (styles, colors, prices).
I drove from Appleton yesterday to stop in with my mom and god mother to look for a wedding gown. Ive been nervous and anxious for weeks thinking about dress shopping, afraid that, as a plus size girl, I wouldn't be unable to find a dress that I liked or that the selection for me would be limited. To my surprise, the entire experience at Edith's was a dream!
Beginning with the friendly staff (and owner) to the section and the experience. It all surpassed my expectations! I worked with Sharon and she was FANTASTIC and so was the owner who also assisted me and even found a dress that was of interest to me. Sharon was encouraging, helpful, and seemingly just as excited to help me as my family was. I found 6 gorgeous gowns, but only made it to the third before being brought to tears! The first I tried on was stunning, as was the second (it just kept getting better) and by the third, I was done! I needed no more, I had found "THE ONE!" After giving us a moment to soak it all in and to cry together lol Sharon came back to help make the dress that much better. She listened to my vision, brought veils, head pieces, sashes and jewelery to help complete the look, which only made me cry more. She even took the time to bring up different samples of bridesmaid dresses in the color i'm going with, so i can see how it would look with my dress. Sharon was nothing short of amazing, as was the rest of the staff that worked with us.
It was a beautifully, intimate experience. I didn't feel rushed or crowded, I didn't feel like I was taking up to much time and most importantly, I didn't feel pushed. We were allowed to make the decisions on our own, with helpful guidance. We were able to sit back and let it all sink in, before making the final and appropriate decisions. Deciding to check out Edith's was the best decision we could have made and the drive was well worth it.
The dress, perfect! The staff, excellent! The experience, memorable!
Thanks to all at Edith's.
Ediths has a friendly staff. They were willing to go above and beyond on my alterations. We had tried something and after thinking about it further, I wanted something completely different. The alterations department re-did it and did a fabulous job!
I absolutely adore Tom and Kathy (the owners. They were so accommodating throughout the process of trying on dresses and then when altering my dress. My seamstress who took care of my alterations was also amazing (I believe her name was Sharon). I am beyond satisfied with my experience at Edith's. It is a great place to shop if you are located in the Fox Valley!!
Great selection, not a good start; they didn't give much direction and I've never been married and didn't know what I was supposed to be doing. Ended up working mostly with Stephanie and she was so helpful. Also, they didn't explain my bustle too well, except for the 3rd time I went in. They also screwed up the bustle the 2nd time I went in to check it out, and said it would be fixed the 3rd time, which it wasn't, but the last time, I was assured it was right, and it was.
When it came to me and my dress they were fantastic with helping me find the right one. However, alteration prices are outrageous. There was a problem with our girls dresses. They did not tell us that the designer only went up to a certain size and charged way extra for larger bridesmaids. They were rude and not helpful at all in finding the best dress/best price. She stood there and simply pointed out what colors each came in. I dressed my girls and helped them, isn't that the job of the sales associate?! My husband was there and got very upset as well. So in all...if your the bride you will get service. Bridesmaids? feel prepared to do it yourself. We ended up finding 2/4 dresses at Ediths and the other 2 at Davids Bridal.
Wonderful bridal dress selection; accommodating and friendly staff.
I purchased my dress from Ediths and was extremely happy with it. The lady that helped me was Carol Ann and she was very sweet, worked with me even when I had no clue what I wanted, and gave helpful opinions and quality customer service! No pressure, any of the 3 times I went there before purchasing..I didn't purchase the dress the first day I tried it on, but went back later after I found it more expensive at another bridal shop. They don't allow pictures until you put money down, which sucks...but I guess they expect you'll try to find it cheaper elsewhere if you know exactly what it looks like and who the designer is...They did tell me to order up several sizes from the sample, which I was shocked by..I chose to order a 10, instead of the 12 they recommended and everything worked out just fine even without me working out, so go with your gut on what size to order! I did opt to take the dress out for alterations and was happy I did that. I met with my alterations lady at least 3-4 times in the city I live in, had it shortened, cups put in, steamed 3 times, and busseled for $100- the lady was amazing! I would have paid at least double that in the store. We also got our suits from Edith's and were very happy with that service as well! The girl in that department was friendly, and knew exactly the look we were going for. The guys looked great and had no real problems and I got many compliments on my dress. My groom loved it too!
I loved me dress and the seamstress did awesome on my alterations!
I went to Edith's because I grew up driving past their display windows fantasizing about getting my dress there. Although I did find my dress there, there weren't a large selection of dresses at different price points. My price point wasn't super low & my taste wasn't unique, so I expected a larger selection. They also couldn't guarantee that my dress would come in on time. My engagement was a little over 6 months & I went dress shopping almost immediately. They said they would ask the manufacturer to rush the shipment but didn't seem so concerned whether it actually came in or not. When I would call to check (only twice) they seemed annoyed that I asked about it. While I loved my dress, I wasn't thrilled with the service Edith's provided.
I loved the location of Ediths (close to home) as well as my dress. The lady that helped my in and out of dresses when trying on was not the most helpful and seemed in a hurry even though I was her only bride. They have a ton of dresses but not a lot of size selection. A few dresses I liked were too off in size that I couldn't get a good idea of what it would fit like.
Great dress collection! The staff are wonderful! Alterations are so perfect!
The staff was very easy to work with and very talented! It was so very fun trying on so many beautiful dresses but they helped so much to find that special one for me! And the pricing is very reasonable.
This was a 2nd wedding for me, and I wanted to pick out the perfect dress. I picked out a dress that flattered my figure, but was a bit too formal. CarolAnn, the head seamstress, helped to redesign the dress so that the best features of the dress remained, the least flattering were altered, and the style best represented what we wanted. The best part is that CarolAnn had fun with the process and was able to design the PERFECT dress! This made the process very enjoyable for me as well.
Did a good job with my dress, nothing that really stood out as above and beyond though. There were a few times that I set appointments and had to wait around for someone to be ready (one time I had to wait a half an hour!)
Ediths had a very good selection of dresses and were helpful in finding the perfect dress. Make sure to make a reservation before just going to try on dresses, not thinking I needed to, I didn't, but they were very acommadating and was able to squeeze me in!
Ediths Bridal was wonderful! Carol Ann was amazing, everything i needed in a seamstress and more!!!
I fell in the love with my dress here, but the service was not good. I loved the alterations, Leanne was wonderful!! I highly recommend her!
The picking out of the dress wasn't the greatest. My consultant kept putting me in the same style dresses that were not flattering at all. My mom actually found the dress that I ended up purchasing. Alterations after the sale was great. They listened to everything I had to say and had great opinions and feedback on what to do and not to do with the dress.
Terrible experience - they ordered a dress size that would have never fit me. Ended up having to put in a tie-up back and the dress still didn't fit me properly. Made me feel self-conscious on my wedding day. Some of the alterations ladies there were not very nice. Would never spend another dime there.
The service wasnt all that great, the lady was rude and didnt make things personal like other places. They do have a huge selection of all different styles of dresses and they were very good at listening to what I was looking for. I found my dream dress for the price I wanted to spend! The only thing that I didnt like was when I went back there to get it, the lady that helped me didnt remember me. At David's Bridal, I could go in there and they would all know my name.
I purchased my dress for my Tennessee wedding back in my hometown. The ladies at Edith's were so nice and helpful. I tried on several gowns and found one that I ended up purchasing right off the rack. I went back to have it measured for alterations and they did a fantastic job on the alterations and had it completed in a timely fashion, so my mother could bring it to me in Tennessee for my wedding.
I looked for dresses in Delaware (before I moved), La Crosse, and Madison. I tried to track down a dress I wanted to try down and could only find it in Fond Du Lac and Chicago. I went to Edith's and fell in love with the dress. They have far more dress selection than any place I had gone to (biggest in WI) and everyone there was awesome. My alterations were cheaper than I expected (only 100 to shorten a bubble hem--not an easy feat). Any other place it was about 300 minimum to alter the length! I was even more surprised how cheap their jewelry was. I ended up getting my chandelier earrings there for less than $30 after scouring every department store etc. with no luck! (some of their accessories are overpriced as most bridal stores are...) Also, many employees have been working there a long time and know what they are doing (especially the seamstresses which is very reassuring). I couldn't have been happier with this place even after driving 1.5 hours each way for every visit.
I am a bride who is not an hou glass nor am I young. I was totally disrespected. They would ask me what I wanted. The when I said I was the bride, they walked away or gave me a dirty look. By the time I left I was in tears
Great service, absolutely LOVED my dress, and a fun, small-town atmosphere. Alterations did add up really quick, however. All-in-all a great shop!
ediths bridal salon was so helpful when finding my perfect wedding dress! Everyone was so helpful and accomadating to my schedule for fittings. Also all of the seamstresses did an amazing job altering my dress. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful dress. Thank you Ediths!
Great selection of dresses. very busy on the weekends. need to tell them to steam your dress otherwise you will end up taking home a completley wrinkle dress.
I loved my wedding dress and everything at Ediths until the alterations. I did a fitting in July and the final fitting in August. I thought at the final fitting everything would be done. More still had to be taken in and the bust had not been altered. They said this is normal so I did not worry. When I picked my dress up on the Thursday of my wedding week my dress was still to big. 3 weeks prior they were suppose to take in 2 more inches on the side. I know I did not lose 2 inches in that time span. Also the stays in the bust had not been removed and were sticking straight out. It looked awful. The seamstress working on my dress was not there so another lady had to help. She was able to cut the stays out but the pleating was still not right.
I loved my dress but in a lot of pictures the bust looks awful. My dress was Maggie Sotero Jenna which has a lost of pleating, but I thought the professionals there could handle it.
The length was perfect, the bustle lasted about 1 hour of dancing.
The other girls working the showroom are fantastic and very friendly and helpful!
I purchased my wedding dress at Ediths and was so pleased with the consultants and their selection. <My dress was absolutely perfect and very reasonably priced!!! However, my alteration appointments were frequently delayed at the last minute(i.e. when I came in at the appt. time--they would still be working on my dress and ask me to come back in a few hours) or confused all together (my "final" fitting turned into my second to last fitting after they had not touched my dress since the previous fitting!!)
I really liked the dress, and while the ladies at Edith's were helpful, some were a little rude
I must have went to over 5 different stores and tryed on 100 dresses before I went to Ediths. At Ediths a consultant was there to help with every detail. They have a HUGE selection of dresses of every style and theme. I found a dress within my $1,000 budget and it truly looks like I spent $3,000.
