Sam was absolutely amazing. He had great suggestions for the reception and helped us plan the best reception with little stress. His food was delicious! Edwards allowed us to do a trial beforehand of potential dishes we would use for the wedding. He had a meeting with us prior to determine our interests and vision for the wedding. We knew after the trial that Edwards Catering was right for us. Sam definitely did not disappoint the day of the wedding. He was able to work around our guests’ dietary restrictions while staying delivering exactly what Ben and I wanted for the meal. Overall, we had plenty of food for all our guests and he even gave Ben and I food to take with us on the honeymoon. Nobody left the reception hungry, that’s for sure! Thank you Edwards Catering for being a part of our day and feeding everyone delicious food!

The food from this vendor was absolutely wonderful and my guests raved about how great it was! The catering plan provided us with numerous options of appetizers, entrees and sides to serve throughout the reception for an extremely reasonable price! My only issue with my experience with the vendor was the communication with the vendor himself. It would sometimes take a few days to have him respond to my emails, if he responded to my email at all. Ultimately, everything I asked for was at the wedding and he did an exceptional job with the services I hired him for.

We worked with Edwards Catering for our wedding, and it was a fantastic experience! Sam Edwards is kind, thoughtful, and knows literally everything about how to make wedding catering affordable and delicious. We got RAVE reviews on the food from our guests, and he even made sure that my husband and I had the chance to eat! He brought us appetizers and drinks while we were taking photos, and made us care packages to take with us at the end of the night for an extra meal. His staff even made sure we had water and any drinks we wanted throughout the whole evening. Absolutely AMAZING food for an incredible price, and just the most genuine people! We can't say enough good things about Edwards Catering. Sam is the best of the best.

I highly recommend Edward's Catering, as it came highly recommended to me. The food was outstanding, as was the service. Mr. Sam Edward's was very attentive. I have nothing but great things to say, and would definitely use him again in the future for other events. Everything was very reasonably priced. Mr. Edward's and his staff made my day a memorable one.

It was a pleasure working with Sam; all of Edwards catering was amazing! We had steak, chicken, and salmon as our main courses and they were all delicious! He helped us feel comfortable with the flow of the wedding and is very knowledgeable with wedding related things even outside of catering! 10/10 recommend

We used Sam Edwards catering for our wedding, and they were spectacular. Their communication in the beginning stages of inquiring was not good, to the point we initially decided to not use them. Please don’t let that deter you from continuing to reach out. They do so many weddings that they have a tough time keeping up with general inquiries - I DO think that is something I would recommend be adjusted because their food is unmatched and you will be blown away. We did four food trials. I am a Food-ie while my husband is an insanely picky eater so we had a tough time finding something we both wanted. I did 3 other trials before Edwards and then after tasting his food hands down was the one for us. He made us a chicken Marsala - I don’t like mushrooms nor do I like chicken Marsala at all. It was so delicious not only did I add it to the menu but I had it for dinner that entire week after the trial. Their grapefruit glazed salmon AMAZING, mashed potatoes unreal. He will also make whatever you want. Have a picky eater? He will make them their own special plate. At the end of the evening we got back to the hotel and were STARVING only to look through our gifts and one was from their team wrapped in a nice pretty bow. Wouldn’t you know it was two take home meals with Tupperware, silverware and drinks. It blew us away, and I was finally able to EAT after a long night of dancing and partying. They were also insanely accommodating and very knowledgeable about weddings. They supplied our linens, silverware and bartenders along with the food. Everyone was wonderful. Even with covid restrictions. My suggestion: look past the initial customer service. You won’t be disappointed.

WOW! That is really all I can say! Edwards Catering went above and beyond from what I expected. My venue had them listed as a recommendation and I am so glad we went with them! The wedding was almost a year ago and people still talk about how good the food was! I highly recommend their mashed potatoes and the sweet and sour meatballs! Sam was great and worked together with our coordinator to make the day perfect! He gave many awesome suggestions and answered all of our questions.

I cannot say enough good things about Edwards Catering. The food was absolutely delicious and we had plenty! Everyone on staff was super nice. Sam Edwards was the most helpful person at the whole wedding. He helped with everything and had a lot of great advice to give. He made sure me and my husband had drinks and packed us some of all of the food to take back to the hotel.

Delicious food and attentive service all night long, with a to-go bag to take home at the end of the night so we could keep enjoying more of that great food. Edward’s Catering is the real deal!

We highly recommend Edwards Catering. Mr. Edwards was great to work with throughout this process. He helped us choose the perfect menu for a crowd, and made suggestions and recommendations that we needed to hear. He has so much experience with weddings making his knowledge helpful and really what made us choose him. He is also very laid back which kind of helps you calm down and breathe a little when you talk to him (which is nice when you're stressing out about everything). Also they have everything you need built into the very competitive price: linens, china, glassware, cutlery, serving dishes - you name it (other caterers were going to charge rental fees from an outside company). We also feel like he listened to what we wanted and made every vision we had a reality. I wanted this elaborate cheeseboard table and they absolutely delivered. It was beautifully decorated as were the rest of the tables, buffet and bar areas. The staff were all SO FRIENDLY and hospitable with fun personalities. Mr. Edwards and crew were very attentive to us, making us feel like King and Queen for a day. AND BEST OF ALL the food was delicious, even two weeks after the event my people were still talking about how good it was. PS I also need to add that we decided to have our entire menu gluten free due to the groom and several family members being celiac. Despite this unusual request, Mr. Edwards delivered and most of our guests had no idea. In that same respect, Mr. Edwards was helpful with a handful of other allergies/dietary restrictions that a few guests had, coming up with some delicious vegan options.

We used Edwards Catering for our wedding and I cannot say enough good things! I am vegan and wanted to make sure I had some options other than salad at my wedding. Sam provided amazingly delicious vegan food for myself and a wonderful variety of options for the rest of the wedding guests. We had several guests coming up to us telling us just how delicious all of the food was! Sam also created special pepperoni pizza appetizers for our cocktail hour for my husband!

Sam Edwards catered my wedding in May 2019, and I cannot recommend Edwards Catering highly enough! Sam was professional and easy to work with, and his staff was amazing as well. Everyone was very attentive, and the setup was absolutely beautiful. I had multiple people compliment the food and tell me that it was the best wedding food they had ever eaten! Sam and his staff were awesome! The food was amazing, the drinks were amazing, everything was amazing! Sam even packed the groom and I to go bags with the food from the night and our favorite drinks! It’s the little touches that make this vendor so special!

Sam catered our event in February 2019. We were treated like a King and Queen the entire evening. He was attentive to not only us, but our guest as well. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests are still talking about his macaroni and cheese. Everything was set up beautifully!!! Sam and his team were such a pleasure to work with and we are still getting compliments about the food even though our wedding was over a month ago! Unlike the many other catering companies that we met with who are just out to get your money, Sam worked backwards from our initial budget and made the menu unique to our day. The special touches did not go unnoticed. Sam was constantly asking my husband and I if we needed something to drink, if we had enough food, he and his team even had drinks and food waiting for us during pictures! The service and the bartenders were top notch and they handled such a large crowd with such ease. One of our favorite parts was the to go bag of all of the foods from the wedding and he even included some of our favorite drinks to have the night of the wedding. We can’t thank you and your team enough for all of your help on such a special day in our lives! Would recommend to anyone for any event!

From start to finish, Sam and his staff were absolutely impeccable. We just recently had Edward's Catering host our wedding at St. Ann's Catholic Church, and we truly couldn't have asked for a more professional and outgoing group of folks that made our guests feel welcomed and well cared for. Sam first met with us at his home where he immediately won us over, and throughout the entire planning process he was always ready to answer questions or concerns. We asked Sam and his crew to serve a cocktail hour and a buffet dinner, both turned out beautifully. We also had a beer and wine bar in which we hired one of Sam's bartenders...this too worked perfectly. All of the staff members were immensely helpful, and always ready to take care of any needs of our guests. Ever since the wedding, I've been receiving major compliments from all of our friends and family. Three major highlights of the night for me personally: First, when we began taking pictures following the wedding ceremony, two members of the staff came out to us (the wedding party) delivering some appetizers and water- it was awesome! Second, after spending a good deal of time out on the dance floor cutting a rug I realized I desperately needed some water. The second the words came out of my mouth... "I need water", Sam was right there holding a few ice cold glasses for myself and others- again awesome! Third, at the end of the night after all was said and done...Sam sent us off to the hotel with a wonderful care package of many of the items served that evening, along with a few favorite beverages of ours- perfectly awesome! Overall, I cannot speak highly enough about our experience with Edward's Catering. What I can say, without question though, if you choose their services...you will NOT be disappointed...more so, incredibly pleased!! Thanks so very much Sam and Company!!!

There aren't enough good things to say about Edwards Catering. At our wedding venue, we had to select a caterer from a list of preferred vendors, and Edwards Catering was one of 12 possibilities. From our very first meeting with Mr. Edwards, we were confident and excited about our choice in choosing him and his staff to be such a huge part of our day. From meeting with him several times in his own home, to attending an event he catered, to several tastings and countless emails over the course of almost a year, Mr. Edwards patiently answered every question, provided invaluable information about the entire wedding reception (not just the food!!), and never made me feel crazy when I was obsessing over the perfect signature drink. The food was delicious, and the fact that his services were considerably more affordable then any other caterer we met with was just an added bonus. His attention to detail and attention to my husband and I throughout the entire reception was remarkable - every time I turned around he was there to offer me a new glass of water or refill my champagne. His end of night care package complete with our favorite drinks was the icing on the cake and my entire family enjoyed the leftovers he packaged for us for over a week! I can't thank him or his staff enough for everything they did to make our wedding reception everything we ever dreamed of!

The professionalism of Edwards Catering left us in awe of how easy wedding catering can be. Sam gave us many suggestions, knew what we needed, and even provided us with food to go which we ate in our honeymoon suite :') so sweet! I cannot recommend Sam Edwards and his catering company enough! It is run by him and his wife with a wonderful support staff who are absolutely lovely. His personal service and attention to detail was incredible. We met at his home to discuss our needs and he was full of wonderful advice, not just for the food, but for the whole reception and day. His quote he provided us was incredible and far less than any other caterer we had contacted. More importantly, despite the affordability, the quality of the food is worth twice what he charges, if not more. Everyone raved about how delicious everything was. He also really worked with the menu to provide a highly personalized menu with lovely touches particular to us and our preferences. To say that we are blown away by Sam is an understatement. His help that day even extended beyond the food helping me to set up decorations. Finally, I couldn't believe how attentive he was at the reception personally bringing us prosecco and water and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. I can't imagine any other catering service and even begin to approach his level of service and affordability and we plan to use him for any and all catering we may ever need in the future!

Sam and his team make absolutely delicious food! Every one of our wedding guests were blown away by how delicious everything was on our wedding day. On top of the great food and service, Sam and everyone he employs are all so helpful and kind, as well as incredibly knowledgeable about the entire wedding process. When I first began wedding planning, I had no recommendations for caterers - I was starting from scratch. I initially selected Edwards Catering based on the spectacular views I had read. These reviews are 110% accurate and choosing Edwards Catering was one of the best decisions I made. The word impressive does not even do Edwards Catering justice. I initially contacted the company on a Saturday morning and by Sunday afternoon, I was on the phone with Mr. Edwards telling him about our wedding visions. By the following Friday, Mr. Edwards had visited my venue (since he never catered there before) and I had a proposal in hand. Mr. Edwards arranged for a tasting for us during another wedding he was catering. Despite the fact that he was running another wedding, he made sure to have a beautifully set table for us and stop by to chat about our wedding. We were very impressed with his organization, attention to detail, and professionalism. He was always responsive to emails and very organized. He also made time to attend a meeting with our venue to discuss logistics. His ideas are smart and creative and he, as a person, is very caring, understanding, and helpful. Our wedding was a blur, but I have very vivid memories of Mr. Edwards constantly tracking down my husband and I to offer us snacks, drinks, anything. He came by our table at the reception multiple times to get us drinks. His staff is friendly and courteous as well - just an absolutely wonderful and unforgettable experience working with Mr. Edwards and his crew. Also, the food was delicious! Guests are still commenting on how great the food was. Mr. Edwards also packed my husband and I a bag of leftover food to take home - neatly organized into plastic containers. That food was a godsend the days after the wedding! I have nothing but positive things to say about Edwards Catering and highly recommend them! Sam and his crew were absolutely incredible. They were SO helpful the day of. Every single person in the staff were so nice and happy and helpful. Not to mention, the food was AMAZING. Everyone complimented us on the food and when Sam packed up the leftovers for us, we were even more pleased at how yummy it was the second day too! We fed our group for a few days and no one got tired of it! He was so helpful with set up and was extremely attentive to my needs as the bride and kept everyone hydrated and happy!! Sam and his crew did a wonderful job catering my daughter's wedding this past Thursday evening. He had wonderful suggestions about more than just the food and helped make the day extra special for our family and friends. The salmon, mashed potato bar, and lemon chicken were a favorite for our family. The party started off right with yummy chocolate fondue and fresh fruit, along with wonderful cheeses and spring roll appetizers. Sam's staff was professional and attentive to all of our guests. I would highly recommend this catering service for your event.

I can't say enough good things about Sam Edwards. He's a culinary genius and his macaroni and cheese is to die for!! He's got great ideas and is flexible with the menu--I had some different requests! He even set up a wonderful hot cocoa bar with mini marshmallows. His staff was wonderful and efficient and always professional. The to-go bag prepared for me and my husband was awesome!!

My husband and I met with Sam at the suggestion of our venue, The Manor House. Edwards Catering does weddings there very frequently and they are very familiar with the layout and the staff. Sam provided us with a sample menu and had great suggestions for what foods typically go over well at summer weddings. Sam was very prompt with providing us with a written proposal of costs and his company took care of the rentals for all of the linens, plates, cutlery, glasses, etc (which I very much appreciated because it made less work for me). We chose to provide our own alcohol for the event, but Sam arranged for a bar tender for us. Sam also gave us suggestions on guidelines for purchasing the right amount of alcohol. The day of the ceremony, Sam's staff arrived very early to prepare. They set up all of the tables and put out the centerpieces. All of the food was excellent! We had cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres for our guests during our photos and Sam's staff even brought drinks and snacks out to the wedding party during photos. Sam had my husband and I go through the buffet line first so we did actually get to eat. Our favorites were the teriyaki flank steak and the watermelon salad. Sam also packed us up a to go bag of food to take back to our hotel after the wedding with a special bottle of wine. We only heard great things from our guests about the food. We ended up paying about $28 per person for the food.

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars, I definitely would! Where do I even begin?! Sam Edwards definitely knows what he's doing in the kitchen! He was very flexible with being able to meet us at our venue to go over our dinner menu, throwing in suggestions along the way. What really drew us to him in the first place was word of mouth. He has catered numerous events for friends and family and no one had been disappointed. There is no set menu, so just tell him what you envision and he tries his best to make it happen. My wife's side of the family is Lebanese and he allowed us to bring our own kibbe and grape leaves to add to the buffet. We love that everything is included--cake knife/toasting glasses, plates, silverware, cups, drinks, serving platters, and free cake cutting! We've been married since August 28th now and we are still having people call and text us about how amazing the food was. People were going back for seconds and thirds! I would highly recommend him to cater any even! You can't beat the price for the amazing quality.

I give my highest recommendation to Edwards Catering! Very affordable prices with so much included that many caterers don't (all of our table linens, staff, plates, all of the bar needs, etc). He's not the most responsive person prior, but come wedding time he was extremely attentive and didn't miss a thing. Everyone was talking about how good the food was afterwards too! Very very impressed.

Sam is THE BEST! He was super knowledgable about every single aspect and detail. He worked with me to get the price I wanted. His price is all inclusive (staff, linens, serving and eating utensils, etc.) And most importantly, his food was GOOD. I had people coming up to me throughout the night saying how good the food was. I'm certain you can't find anyone better than Sam, no BS. Do yourself a favor and book him.

Sam Edwards (of Edwards Catering) came highly recommended by our venue, The Manor House at Kings Charter, and we are so glad we went with their recommendation. Sam and his team did an exceptional job catering our wedding and his pricing is fantastic for all the things that are included in his price. Other caterers that we had spoken to only provided food (no cutlery, napkins, plates, table-clothes...pretty much nothing but the food), but Sam is a one stop shop so to speak (his pricing includes the food, cutlery, plates, napkins, table clothes, serving wear (which is beautiful antique silver)...pretty much everything you can think of. He helped us refine our menu, provided some incredible ideas concerning our wedding timeline, and suggested that my husband and I actually eat dinner upstairs while our guests were eating so we could have some precious alone time before the wedding chaos began (which was the best idea ever!). The only complaint that we had was that communicating was sometimes a little difficult (we had trouble getting responses to some of our emails/phone calls in a timely fashion) but we were having our wedding during one of the busiest times of years for caterers so I'm sure that contributed to the lag time. Other than that, we had an absolutely amazing experience and the day of our wedding everything went off without a hitch. Our guests raved about the food and my husband and I loved everything we ate (we had a southern theme with fried green tomatoes and ham sandwiches for cocktail hour with a cheese and fruit assortment) and dinner was a buffet with pork bbq, salmon, chicken in some kind of addictive/incredible sauce, and several southern themed sides (mashed potato bar, pear and apple salad, and roasted veggies). I've been to several wedding as a guest and I remember the food always being edible but bland (nothing exciting) but Sam's food was incredible and everybody we talk too (weeks later) is still raving about how amazing the food was. The staff was also incredible and did an excellent job setting up, getting everything prepared quickly, helping decorate the tables, and the wait and bar-tending staff were top notch and had everybody smiling the whole night as they were so friendly and kind. We are so glad that we decided on Edward's catering for our wedding and they helped make our wedding an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend them to anyone having their wedding in the Richmond/NOVA area.

I was so impressed with Sam Edwards catering. Our venue recommended him and he fit our budget so we went with him without checking out many other options. But I am SO glad we chose Sam. I heard compliments all night from our guests about how great the food was and how great the staff was. The bartender received so much praise. The staff all made my husband and I their top priority. They served us first for appetizers and dinner so we actually got to eat! And they packed to-go food and stashed it in our get-away car so when we got to the hotel we had food to eat, too. Sam was amazing in planning all aspects of our wedding and his advice was spot-on. I cannot give him enough stars, seriously, choose Sam.

We used Sam for our wedding 9.26.15 at The Manor House. We were impressed with him from day one! He has been in the catering business for many years and has many great suggestions/insight to wedding planning in general. He was fantastic with meeting and communication when planning the menu and was highly recommended (for good reason) by our venue. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced. The entire staff was wonderful and made sure myself, my husband and our guests were taken care of. It was not just "a caterer". Sam and his staff truly played a large part in making our wedding day as fantastic as it was.

Sam Edwards is incredible and because I knew of two friends' weddings that he catered, we signed his contract before ever tasting his food and I don't regret it one bit! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. My favorite detail is that we were not the typical couple that didn't eat on their wedding day! As soon as the ceremony was over, Sam's staff met us and our bridal with appetizers and refreshments for us to take part in before photos. I thought it was so thoughtful of them! Also, Sam sent us home with a package of leftover food and wedding cake for us to enjoy on our honeymoon. Loved his attention to detail.
