Wedding of my dreams!!
I had always dreamed of having a romantic and elegant wedding. From the gardens and gazebos to the charming historic chapel and the majestic mansion, our evening was magical. The food was divine and the staff was dedicated to making our wedding special. The one stop shopping made the planning easy. My favorite moment was dancing with my husband under a canopy of twinkle lights in the Greenhouse. Thank you Edwards Mansion for making a dream come true

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The owner Chris is extremely unprofessional and unorganized. Constant last minute changes and cancellations on their part. Just one example is we had the engagement suite rented over a year in advance for our wedding and we were notified a month before the wedding informing us the room was no longer avaliable. To top it off this was due to the owner just needing to hide a personal friend that was hiding out/on the run. (Words from Chris directly). Every time we contacted the venue, the receptionists seemed almost clueless to any of the reservations and would constantly forget details. They also assigned us a wedding coordinator that was supposed to be in contact weeks before the wedding but our first time seeing the coordinator was the day before the wedding. The wrong linens were supplied and they coordinator refused to help us organize the correct one. Constantly had to remind them to clean up different parts of the venue as well with bird poop and leaves/branches everywhere, and if it wasn’t for our persistent it would have been just as dirty the day of the wedding. Just all in all extremely horrible business and customer management and I would NEVER recommend this place even to my worst enemies. Be warned.

Everyone at Edwards Mansion was very helpful, friendly, and open to allowing our dog to be our ring bearer during our ceremony, which was held in the chapel. This was not something that I thought would be possible in a chapel.
I would definitely recommend them since they were extremely helpful from the beginning to the end of our wedding!
Any questions?

Altogether I would rate our experience a 3 star but I will separate it into categories.
Venue: The venue was a 4 star in my opinion, a beautiful place to get married with lots of options. It poured on my wedding day and they were able to move us to the chapel to get married instead of having it outside in the rain. The reception was outside but covered and had lots of heaters hanging above to keep us warm. The venue could do with some updating, some things were not as clean as they could be and the loft we rented for the night was not very comfortable, but it has an old day charm to it. The ladies that handled my account were very friendly but they did confuse things easily. Also they had a prom event that same night, and they did not do a good job of keeping our wedding private, there were prom couples coming through our reception all night. Also the parking situation was horrible and cars from the prom guests were crashing into our guests cars.
Catering: We had our food catered through Edwards Mansion and we got the Chicken Cordon Bleu and it was SO DELICIOUS! the chicken was tender and the cheese was just oozing out of the chicken. 5 star for the catering!! (only thing I didnt like was that they cleared my plate of cake before I could take 1 bite! we had to get up to do the dances and when we came back it was gone)
Coordinator: 1 Star! She was horrible!! She treated my family with disrespect on the rehearsal day because I had food poisoning the day before and was running late. The day of the wedding I saw her twice, she moved us to the chapel when it was raining and that was about it. I asked Edwards mansion if I could meet with her before the rehearsal to ask questions and get to know her but apparently she doesn't do that. She didn't help coordinate the wedding at all, and by the time the reception started she disappeared. The DJ and Photographer had to take charge and help us run the wedding. She was horrid, I wish I would have hired a separate coordinator not from Edwards Mansion. Apparently she is the in house coordinator for all weddings.
DJ was amazing and did a wonderful job!!!! He was a better coordinator than Robin and he played really good music!

Beautiful gardens but everything else takes away from their beauty. East and west pavillion have a very plastic smell and visual appeal kind of like an old bingo hall. Looks like the decor is straight from the late 80s to early 90s (and has been there since then). Two women who "helped" made it seem like we were bothering them. Quoted about 10k for this place.

After searching for a while my fiance suggested this location so we took a look. First impression i thought the grounds were very nice for picture taking and i liked the fact that they had a chapel there as well. They provide catering, cake, tables and chairs, DJ, minister, etc. The price was also very reasonable and the food was great ( we chose south of the border). The service the day of was very good as well. My only complaint would be that it was difficult at times to communicate over the phone and my unity candles got momentarily lost. Other than that i was overall very happy with the venue.

I loved this venue because they do everything for you and have their own vendors. Also such a beautiful atmosphere

We had a great experience with Edward's Mansion. Their florist was wonderful as well!

Edwards Mansion was an easy choice of venue since my parents got married here. We were able to easily book our preferred date. I'm grateful I secured the second story bridal suite. I felt sorry for the bridal party up on the third floor. There are definitely lots of events going on simultaneously. They informed me of the wedding right before in the chapel but not the one before that in my ceremony location. They turned over most of it in time but my photographer had to remove the previous couple's photo at the end of the aisle, which had already confused some of my guests. The flowers were difficult to track down and weren't ready on time. Otherwise, everything went well and we were pleased with our wedding.

Had such a great day. There were a few lil things that didn't get done but the overall experience was awesome. We were treated with such great respect over the phone in person. They made sure our day was very special.

I loved my wedding and the set up! Everything was done perfectly and beautifully! I was very impressed of how well everything went so smooth even though there were about 4 other weddings going on same day as mine. The only thing I wasn't too happy about was the coordinator for the wedding ceremony. She didn't have much direction in the ceremony during rehearsal. It was very brief and not very thought out on her part..that was the ONLY disappointment...

We got married there on June 24th and it was simply wonderful! Everything went according to plan and all the staff, especially our wedding coordinator, Harriet were awesome and extremely helpful! Thank you Edwards Mansion

Everything was great. I wished there would have been more communication between myself and the coordinator. I did not meet the wedding coordinator until the day of the rehearsal.

It turned out prettier than I had even expected. I was dissappointed about little things.. But how can you not when you paid for 115 people to get champaigne (there were only 99 people) and my dads table didn't even get served!? Other than that, everything was great!

Edward's Mansion is a beautiful location but there pricing, performance and business skills need some work!
Its nice that a lot of things are all inclusive but they are sticklers if you want to use another vendor besides the ONE that they recommend. They wouldn't let me use another caterer. They charged me a fee for using my own DJ. The bakery they recommend has AWFUL customer service!!!! The bakery was extremely rude and unprofessional to my mother and this happened two days before the wedding. They charge a lot of extra fees for things. If you use your own linens they still charge a linen fee?! CRAZY! The pavillion we used was dirty and poorly looked after when we were planning. Luckily, I had my own outside wedding planner who made sure that was taken care of. If it wasn't for her it would probably still look awful. They also need to seriously update their portfolios and display photos. A lot of it is from the 80's and 90's so its hard to get a vision of what your event will look like.
They only thing that was great was that they were able to move my date 3 times without extra fees since my husband and I are military.
Overall, I kind of wish I went through another venue. My wedding coordinator made it great NOT Edwards Mansion staff.

I really enjoyed our wedding at Edward's Mansion, but there were a few things that weren't optimal.
First of all, our wedding coordinator had to have been 80 years old and she was really pushy. The rehearsal wasn't fun at all. Also, the wedding started 45 minutes late because nothing was set up on time (Mine was the first wedding of the day).
Another disadvantage was having to go with Edward's Mansion vendors or paying a huge service charge.

I will be honest this place needs an upgrade from the 1980's but other than that I have to say I was soooooooo happy with this wedding venue!!! Their venue is really very beautiful but you have to have an imagination to envision what your day will really look like because unfortunately they haven't updated any of their photo books!! Also this venue is VERY affordable, so if your a bride who doesn't want to spend a gazillion dollars on your wedding you should def. check this place out!! They have 3 places where you can have your ceremony (1 chapel and 2 outside locations) and 3 places where you can have your reception (there are 2 tents you can choose from and 1 outside location). I chose the Tea Garden (outside location) because I wanted my reception outside. It turned out more beautiful than I could have imagined!! The food was surprisingly VERY good. I've been to lots of weddings and the food is never really that good, but this food was pretty tasty. We had the chicken cordon bleu and it was delicious!! I would highly recommend this place!!!

The moment my husband and I drove up to Edwards Mansion we where both immediately enthralled with the beautiful architecture and the super friendly staff. Not only does Edwards Mansion provide you with a beautiful venue, but they also provide you with a range of floral, cake, champagne, and DJ choices, as well as a plethora of food selections to fit your taste. I had my wedding there and I was confident in the people enough to not stress out and was able to enjoy the reason why my husband and I went there in the first place, to get married! We had a warm outdoor ceremony in their gazebo and our reception in the tea garden, and it was absolutely perfect. The only thing that some may not like is that there can be another wedding going on at the same time as yours. That did not really bother me, but it may bother other brides. Other than that the people are great and if you would like to have your wedding in a beautiful Victorian home, Edwards Mansion is the place for you.

The location was absolutely beautiful. Even though we got married on a very busy day 10/10/10, the staff was very attentive and everything was on time and went sooo smooth. PERFECT wedding experience. =)
