Buying off the Internet is difficult. Edwin Novel’s ring was a discount to others. You get what you pay for, sometimes.
It is as advertised. Delivered as I ordered, and in a few weeks time. However, very little communication or tracking ...about manufacture or shipping.
Upon receipt, one notices that the band is very thin. It looks and feels too “fragile” and is noticeably thinner compared to a normal ring you might see on others. I think it’s made with less gold to save a few bucks, but I would have gladly paid more for a normal looking ring.
The diamond is acceptably nice. But, the independent certification is pretty cheesy. Not at all comprehensive like GIA. Just a plastic appraisal card. And, from where these diamonds originate is anyone’s guess. No one ever answered my inquiry on the point. I haven’t had the diamond re-certified or appraised, but it does appears to be what I ordered.
The box was nice, but no monogram for Edwin Noel. The lack of branding cheapens the engagement “package.”
I didn’t bother to consult Edwin Novel before purchase. Maybe, a mistake. The center diamond, at 1.35 carats is too large for the tiny setting. It overwhelms the ring. I should have asked.
Overall, acceptable. But, not the great deal you hope for. It is imperative that online sellers get it right. Disappointment is very damaging to your reputation, even if you, technically, lived up to your end of the bargain. Maybe Edwin Novel is the same as other online sellers, but I would buy online again.
