We listen to their needs and work with them to create a truly memorable event. Our clients' wishes become our prerogative! Our services include day of concierge service, event design and planning, custom event detail to include lighting, and consulting services. We had seen all of the positive reviews for Ehmann Events, and they have even worked at our venue successfully in the past, so we were shocked by our negative experience. We hired them for visual design (which they did beautifully) and coordination, with which we had many significant problems throughout the day. Most significantly, neither wine nor water were poured to any of our 150 guests, though we’d discussed both with our coordinator, and she had encouraged us to rent glassware for both wine and water. There were many, many other issues throughout the day as well. We had to be “on,” working, for our entire wedding day.
We wrote to our coordinator about these problems after the wedding, and she did respond, but she took responsibility for only two of the many mishaps. She attributed the other problems, including the water and wine, to us and our other vendors. We aren’t asking anything of her—we can’t change the past. We just don’t want this to happen to other couples.

he water service issue, not in time to avoid it affecting your overall experience. Staff did need to communicate with you through all this, and they just couldn't leave you out of the decision making process.
Even though the service of wine and water does not fall on our team to provide, I personally did fail by not having confimed those typical services were going to be provided by the vendors that were hired. We go above and beyond all the time - we should have pushed harder and made sure this wasn't a noticeable issue.
We are truly sorry this affected your experience on such a big day. Your review is humbling & will not be taken down as a reminder for what we strive for, every time.

Partnering with Maricela and Heidi as our wedding coordinators one of the best wedding decisions we made. I am honestly not sure how we would have managed everything weekend of without them! I am so grateful to have found Maricela/Ehmann Events when searching for a Wedding Planner. I immediately clicked with Maricela, her drive and passion really resonated with me and I could tell she was real and did not try to “sell” me on her business. I was not someone who had a vision or knew the first thing to do when it came to planning a wedding, but multiply that need for help and guidance by so much more when planning a wedding during a pandemic. Looking back, I think it was totally meant to be to have went with Ehmann Events. Maricela made what I thought was a dream wedding into reality, when most couples were cancelling or postponing their weddings. I appreciated how honest she was with us throughout the planning process, even though it wasn't always what we wanted to hear. She kept us on track with her checklists, and the website she uses kept us all very organized. Maricela made us feel comfortable and secure in our decision with having a wedding when several people were cancelling, and this is because she was an active contributor in the community and leader in COVID-19 precautions. I always wanted a disco ball over the dance floor to create a starry night and Maricela and her husband built it for us, going above and beyond! By the time we got to our big day, Maricela felt like she was part of the family, a friend I didn't know I needed, and I wouldn’t want to have it any other way. I would recommend Ehmann Events over and over again and wish I had more events to plan so I could get to work with Maricela again. Thank you for everything!!!!
We could not have pulled off our wedding without Maricela! From our first conversation I felt at ease and knew that she would take care of us and be an excellent resource throughout the process. She spent over an hour answering my questions and was responsive answering even more questions via email before and throughout the entire process!. Her knowledge and experience with things that we didn't even know that we needed to know were critical to our wedding running as smoothly as it did. Working with a coordinator was one of the best decisions we made. I was very particular about my vision and how I wanted the decor set up, etc. and one of the things I appreciated most about Maricela was that while she has an eye for design and great taste, she didn't impose or try to change what I wanted done. She executed my vision perfectly! There are so many small things that happen behind the scenes on your wedding day and you need someone there to put out fires and make sure things get done and people are where they need to be. Our wedding would not have run as smoothly without Maricela. She is organized, a great communicator and a wonderful resource for anything you would ever need to know about weddings. I was one of those brides who foolishly thought I could handle planning a wedding on my own but quickly realized a few months into the process and feeling completely overwhelmed that I desperately needed help. I had an aesthetic and elements I knew I wanted but no cohesive vision, felt lost in the timelines, and in general, just felt like I had no idea what I was doing and was stressed things wouldn't come together in time with less than a year of planning to go. Thankfully, it was suggested I consider hiring a wedding planner and that is when I found Maricela and Ehmann Events. Bringing Maricela on board was hands down the best decision I made when it came to planning my wedding. I truly felt so lost until she came along and provided the guidance, support, resources, and vision I was so desperately looking for. She took all of my ideas and pieces of inspiration and seamlessly put them together to form a beautiful, cohesive design for the big day - one I know for sure I would not have been able to come up with on my own. Her lighting/greenery design for our reception space was a standout example and it was stunning! She also really listened to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding weekend, what was important to us, and was mindful of our budget during the entire process. She provided thoughtful ideas, kept me in check in terms of what was realistic and feasible (every brides needs this - trust me!), came up with solutions when things went awry, and was a wonderful liaison between our venue and team of vendors. When the wedding weekend finally arrived, she made sure everything was executed flawlessly and was there every step of the way to ensure my husband and I had the wedding of our dreams. Admittedly, I was a complete ball of nerves on the wedding day and Maricela not only provided logistical support but also provided some much needed emotional support. I swear knowing she was there just made me feel so much better! Above all else, I think the most important thing to note about Maricela is how much I truly enjoyed working with her. We met several times in person over the course of planning the wedding and each time it felt like going to catch up with a friend over coffee vs a business meeting. I always looked forward to our meetings and phone calls. She was not only my wedding planner but a friend and for that I am the most grateful. I cannot recommend Maricela and Ehmann Events enough. When I think back on my wedding weekend and what a true dream turned reality it was, I know none of it would've been possible without bringing Ehmann Events on board.
Maricela was wonderful to work with. She is very outgoing, creative, good with communicating, and professional. She worked with our budget and our location. My wedding was in upstate new york, a 5 hour drive from her home, and she still was able to commute to make sure we had the best day we possibly could. She was an absolute must for our wedding. If we didnt have her, we couldn't have gotten everything done on time.
I was in love with the set up and decor. She truly made my visions come to life. Some even better than I imagined.

We brought her on board for day-of coordination services less than three weeks before our wedding. In the weeks leading up to the "big day" Maricela did so much more than day-of coordination! She ensured that communication between our vendors was seamless, helped with our rental order and worked with us on the flow of the evening. It was fantastic to have her on site during the wedding making sure that everything was running smoothly and her help with set-up and breakdown was invaluable!
Maricela brought a professional touch and peace of mind that were truly priceless. She was fun to plan with and worked extremely hard to make sure our wedding was everything we hoped for!

Maricela has a deep love of food and an undeniable desire for client satisfaction. While working as Executive Assistant at McCall's Catering & Events in San Francisco, Maricela was able to be part of some of the most extraordinary social events in San Francisco. After a short term in Hotel Events, Maricela returned to her passions joining the team at Continental Caterers in Palo Alto. As an Event Specialist, she has successfully planned and executed corporate events, social gatherings, and weddings. Maricela is now realizing her dreams of running her own events company in beautiful Vermont.
