If I could give less than 1 star I would. Our group of 10 had an appointment at the Green Bay location at 11 am. The maid of honor drove from out of state to attend the appointment. The store called me 3 hours before the appointment to tell us there was a snow storm coming and canceled our appointment. There wasn't even a flake coming from the sky at the time yet and roads were completely clear. I offered for our large group to come in right away before the snow and they refused to see us even after explaining we had an out of state guest who would not be able to come if they didn't honor our appointment. Absolutely crushed that the maid of honor (bride's sister) will not be able to join us to choose the bridal dress and the bridesmaid dresses. I asked if even one employee could come in, that we would all bend and come as soon as they wanted, and she claimed every single employee that works at the store lives over and hour away from work and didn't want to come in. That's hard for me to believe. What store closes because of snow that is predicted for later? We will never shop at this store again.

I had such an amazing experience wedding dress shopping here! My consultant JoAnne was so kind and knowledgeable and helped me pick out my dream dress! She made dress shopping everything I dreamed it would be!

Absolutely awful. If I could give no stars I would. Thank God I did not get my wedding dress there. I was on the fence the first time we came in because the woman behind the counter, I'm assuming a manager, was rude and loudly complaining about other customers and employees. I was uncomfortable walking up to her to request anything; she was visibly angry and completely unprofessional. When we were there, we told them specifically that my maid of honor lived in Florida and would be getting her dress elsewhere. A happy accident led to my MOH being able to go dress shopping three months before the wedding. She was told that she could make a payment anytime the next month and the dress would arrive on time. When she returned to Florida and called in to make her payment, they informed her that the dress would not arrive in time. When she requested to speak to a manager, because that was not what was told to the BOTHof us, the manager proceeded to inform her that the other bridesmaids were responsible and came in with me months before and called her IRRESPONSIBLE three times over the phone for not coming when they did, although we specifically told them that she lived out of state. When my MOH tried to tell them what we were told in the store, she again called her irresponsible and told her that she should have understood that a payment needed to be made in the beginning of the month. She then informed my MOH that the dress would cost more than we were originally told because she was not responsible enough to make a payment in time. They were eventually able to come to a reasonable conclusion after the manager spoke with the employee that talked to us and realized that she was telling the truth. They then repeatedly requested her to come in to pick up the dress, and to get her measurements to ensure the dress fit, even though they got her measurements when we were there, because again, we explained that she lived in FLORIDA. They had no record of her measurements and told her, because she was arriving the day before the wedding, that she would just have to hope it fit. Are you freaking kidding me? You try to make my MOH pay extra for your mistakes, INSULT HER several times, and decline to listen when things are being explained to you?? I will ensure that NONE of those involved in my wedding ever return to Elaine's Bridal. This was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Their partner, Du Bois, on the other hand was completely accomodating, compassionate, and understanding. They bent over backwards to work with us, and even gave us a free tie rental for our tribute to the best man, who unfortunately passed away seven months before the wedding. Du Bois, perfect; Elaine's Bridal? IRRESPONSIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.

Madalyn was great to work with. Previous consultants I worked with weren't as pleasant and understanding as she is. I recommend you ask for her. She's younger and easier to work with. She remained calm during the whole situation when things didn't go right. Overall I give this store a 4/5 Be sure you ask for Madalyn!!!

It was my first time trying on wedding dresses and it was horrible. The lady was extremely rude she did not listen to what I or my mom wanted l, but instead only put what she wanted.

I am not sure if the management has changed from previous reviews- but I had a wonderful experience at Elaines in Green Bay. I was very worried about finding a dress that looked good on me and in my size.. and in my budget. I felt like it was an uphill battle.. but Elaine's made it so simple! I tried on probably 20 dresses and had my girlfriends take pictures of me in every single one of them. No issues taking pictures in the dresses. I tried on all these beautiful gowns and ending up buying the very first one I tried on. It's absolutely perfect and it was below my budget. I bought my accessories here too! My sales consultant was so accommodating and helpful. She focused 100% of her attention on me and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I would highly recommend Elaine's! I found my dream dress and I can't wait for my future hubby to see me in it!

We just had the worst experience shopping for my bridesmaids' dresses. We arrived at 11 AM, the time we set up our appointment for, and the 3 or 4 people behind the counter seemed extremely unprepared. We were told to wait for someone to help us and while waiting, another lady appeared asking if she could help us. When we told her we were waiting for someone she responded with "Yeah, me." We explained what we were looking for, which was a short dress with lace in a champagne, beige, tan or brown color, so we could decide what color we liked best. We were basically left to fend for ourselves rather than having her present us with options. When she returned with some color swatches to help me decide on a color, she continued to show me options I wasn't interested in. When I did decide on a color, not only did she proceed to show me long dresses when I was clearly looking for short ones, she couldn't tell me which short dresses would be available in the color I wanted in order for us to try any on. At one point, I even asked to see a dress she was holding in natural light as it looked more gray than brown and instead of walking over to the window mirrors with me, she handed it to me and told me to go over there. We were there less than 20 minutes and decided to pass on anything, as we had 3 other appointments, however, when we explained that we didn't think we were going to find anything, the lady told us she didn't know where else we thought we were going to find something. At this point, I'm just thankful I didn't get my wedding dress there.

Sub-par experience when shopping for bridesmaids dresses here. They were very understaffed, which lead to our appointment starting late and them keep switching who was our consultant that day (around 3 total over the course 1 shopping experience!). There was no communication between consultants, so every time a new one introduced herself we'd have to explain everything all over again. The only positive things about the experience were the side selection of dresses to choose from, and the staff member at the front desk who helped narrow down our search options by matching item numbers with color swatch numbers.

I found my dream dress and ended up purchasing from there but my consultant wasn't that great. She was more focused on telling me about her dogs than helping me find a dress. They also screwed up the length on one of my girls dresses.

I LOVED my wedding dress and had such a "Say yes to the dress" moment when my Mom cried seeing me in this in the store. I wish I had gone somewhere else to buy it. First of all they won't tell you who makes the dress until after you purchase it. They also won't let you take pictures until purchased (pictures really helped me pick which looked best). I understand why they are so scared of us going elsewhere now. When I went to my first dress fitting there were stains ALL OVER my dress. More than I could count. They told me it must have came to the store that way and that they receive all their dresses from China and have to clean them because they are gross. The alterations person pulled out a shout bottle and started to shout out the stains WHILE I WAS STILL WEARING IT. I stayed calm because I knew they would have to take care of it or I'd do this and give them bad ratings everywhere. Instead of having a manager apologize, they took off $35 of my over $300 alterations bill. That was insulting. I will never let anyone I know shop from here. I understand all the dresses are from China (so you might as well order it offline), but I came to Elaine's for the service and I was sadly disappointed.

The sales associate who helped me try on dresses was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, they don't allow you to take photos in the dress, so that made the decision making process challenging when I was trying to decide between 2 dresses. Also, the seamstress was not very helpful with alterations, she said the alterations would take 3 plus months, so I found a different place that was able to do the alterations in less than 2 months.

The ladies working there were very nice and helpful.

When I walked in, I told the consultant I was on a budget and not to show me anything over $1000, which she agreed with. (We've all seen the TV shows where women fall in love with a dress they can't afford.) I tried on dresses at Elaine's with my mother & mother-in-law. I already knew the style of dress that I wanted, but the consultant kindly humored my two mothers and helped me try on dresses they wanted to see. When we finally narrowed it down to the right style, the consultant quickly scanned the full racks to find the only two dresses in my price range that matched what I wanted. I bought the second. Elaine's also had a tiara and garter that made the outfit perfect. They only thing Elaine's was missing was undergarments. I ended up getting a bustier from another bridal salon that didn't work perfectly with the dress. Not Elaine's fault, but something to watch out for.

I had a wonderful experience shopping for my dress at Elaine's. I went in with a $1,000 budget, and I had a lot to choose from. My only complaint is that the size that was recommended based on my measurements ended up being too small. They had to take it out, which cost me $50. Other than that, I was very satisfied!

Elaine's was very accomidating at first my grandmother came with and she can't do stairs so they gave us a room downstairs and the lady was great with us and not pushy. After that they seem to have no idea who I was, they never called to say my dress was in.

Let me first say that this place is such a diamond in the rough! I tried on so many dresses and didn't know what I wanted. I was the textbook confused bride. The Bridal Consultant picked out my wedding dress for me! After trying on a bunch and getting thoroughly agitated, she put her finger on her chin and said "I have the perfect dress for you." She ran and got the dress and slipped it on me. By the time it got to my waist, I KNEW it was my dress! I'm so happy that I found Elaine's and that the consultant found my most perfect dress for me. Must visit here, worth it!

Kim was wonderful to work with! She was very sweet and helpful. I loved how she accessorized each dress. she did an amazing job helping me pick my wedding gown!

Elaine's was pretty easy to work with. It was hard to get them to understand that I wanted the bridesmaids to pick out their dresses and I didn't care what designer they were. Their prices were a lot cheaper than places in Milwaukee for the same dress. They had large fitting rooms to try on dresses and a huge selection of wedding dresses and bridesmaids dresses. I hardly needed any alterations and neither did my bridesmaids. They got the sizes perfectly!

I got one of my mom's old bridesmaids dresses altered here to my girlfriend's size and they did a perfect job... Excellent.

I would have to say I was very disapointed in this store. My sister bought her dress there and loved them but when I went the day before my wedding to pick up my dress it was dirty. It was not kept in the bag and had black splotches all over it. They did clean them for me but before offering to do it asked me to come back on my wedding day to get the dress so they had more time. I purchased my dress 1-year before the event. This should not have happened.. Brides beware... :(

My wife was very excited when she received the dress. I must mention that the dress was altered to fit and she looked gorgeous in it. Thank you.

We had visited there with the bridesmaids and were looking for their dresses. We had been to 3 other stores prior to this but to no avail. Here they had an amazing collection of dresses that swept us off our feet. The staff too were very courteous and assisted us all the way. Thanks!!

The staff there is nice, but not on the same page. You get a different answer from everyone you work with. My experience was very stressful, my wedding dress came in with laced ripped off, they didn't even bother to inspect it bofore I tried it on for the first time. They then ordred me the wrong veil, and were to busy with prom dresses to find out it they could even get me the right one. They did find the right one, and ordered it three days later. When we picked out BM dresses the sales person didn't check the vendor turn around time. Our order should have been placed a month sooner then we were told. The dress ended up being delayed because of a spring rush and I wasn't informed of this until I called to ask why the dresses weren't in. They have a great selection which was why I went with them. Just felt that the issues I had could have been handled better.

I would NEVER walk into this store every again. The service there is poor and the staff is very rude. I made an appointment and they had double booked me my bridesmaids had to help me into my wedding gown, and when they measured the bridesmaids all the measurements were off. I had purchased a dress off the rack and I put money down and they were to fix some of the bead work and I would pay for the rest of the dress, when I came to pay for the rest of the dress none of the bead work was done, I ended up taking my dress elsewhere to get fixed. I spent a lot of money on my dress the least they could have done is treated us with respect. If I hadn't of fallen in love with my bridal gown or the bridesmaid dresses I would have never of purchased anything from them.

The staff were simply great to work with and helped out a lot.

Bought my wedding dress from here. I had to call to see if it ad come in yet, went to get my dress and pick out my bridesmaids dress, had to wait almost an hr for someone to help us even though we had an appointment. Told me 4 months later that the dresses I picked out were not available with extra length, which two of my girls needed. We're no help in finding news ones since I live 5+ from the store and didn't offer a discount or anything for the problem. Went against my orders to have rush delivery and ended up having to ship a dress to a bridesmaids so she would have enough time for alterations

when i first visited i thought the employees were rude and cold. but i fell in love with a dress and they were all so great to me! overall, im very satisfied.

Men's specialist was very helpful

I was literally dreading the fact that I had to try on wedding dresses, and after a bad episode at David's Bridal- where the consultant was hard to even reach (even when I scheduled an appt), was awful. I felt near tears due to not wanting to get a dress. When walking into Elaine's, I was helped, and Chris helped me find a beautiful dress that looked awesome on me in less than an hour. Plus the rates were reasonable, and my bridesmaids also were greatly helped.

I purchased my wedding dress from Elaine's and all went well. Carol was great at helping me find my dress. My problems came when I took all of my bridesmaids to look for their dresses. I made an appointment on a Saturday. We got there and the place was packed and we had no changing room reserved. I understand it was a busy time, but would have appreciated a warning and would have happily scheduled a different day to ensure a room! It was impossible for the girls to even move around to look at dresses and they were all so stressed out by the whole situation. I also had two girls in my wedding that were only able to fit into about 5 dresses that were available and were both crying by the end of it because they couldn't even try on dresses. They were not size 2's but I am positive that there are many, many girls that would also need larger sized dresses to try on as well. When all dresses were picked out, it took over an hour just to order. When the dresses came in, one of the four was a different color than the others. The consultant told me it was because my bridesmaid had chosen a dress that came in the wrong kind of fabric. I didn't even know what taffeta was until I had gone there! She was supposed to make sure we got the dresses all in the same color. When I asked what could be done, the manager insisted that we had worked with one of her best consultants and there is no way she would have told us that dress came in the right color. Of course that consultant was on vacation at the time, so she couldn't talk to her about it. When I told her there was no way I would order one dress in a different color if the consultant had told me it would be different, she still insisted that we picked the wrong fabric. She finally agreed to let my bridesmaid order another dress at half price. Of course the only other dress my bridesmaid could find costed more than the original even at half price because she was one that had trouble fitting in anything they had. When my bridesmaid went to pick up the second dress, Elaine's expected the first one back. So my bridesmaid was then paying for a full and half priced dress and ending up with one of the two. She placed me on the phone with the manager, who shouted that she would let her keep the dress and then hung up on me. I had planned on getting my alterations done there because I heard great things about their alterations lady and my husband planned on getting his tuxes from Dubois, but after that experience I will never return.

I went to Elaine's because they claimed to have the lowest prices on designer gowns. When I tried on a dress I would ask about the designer or style and they said they don't give out that information (all other dress stores do). That was a read flag that they really didn't have the lowest prices. Their website was terrible as well. I couldn't find the dresses I looked at in the store later when I checked their website. Additionally, I ended up finding the dress I wanted $150 cheaper at another location. Very disappointing.

They were great! I had some problems with David's Bridal but Elaines was great! When I described what I was looking for they picked out the perfect selection! Their prices were great also!!!

I was skeptical going to Elaine's as I didn't hear many good things about them from reviews I was able to find online. I think I lucked out from the people I happened to work with though as I have nothing but amazing things to say about them. Cara helped me find my dream dress and was so pleasant to work with. She was patient and listened to what I was looking for and didn't hesitate to pull any dresses. The dress I ended up finding and love so much was pulled by Cara herself! She was fabulous. The lady who took care of my alterations (don't recall the name) was great as well- very personable and alterations were done very quickly. Their selection of dresses was incredible- by far the most choices I saw in the area. The only thing is that they do just have one size of each dress- good range of sizes overall in the store but if the dress you love isn't in your size it can be difficult to visualize it on yourself. I did witness some less than desirable treatment of customers though, which makes me say again that I got lucky with Cara- the first impression she gave me made me glad that I gave them a shot and didn't go just off the reviews.

Great selection - a bit slow on getting the dresses in and with alterations, could be due to close prom season.

I walked in to try on dresses and the lady wouldn't zip or tie up the back, she'd just hold it. I asked for another lady and the next was the same way, as if I was an inconvenience. Would not go back.

The service and selection was great. However, my dress ended up having a bad zipper that broke the day of my wedding. They said they will repair it for me, but it still added panic and stress to my special day.

I bought my wedding dress from here and loved it. But VERY poor customer service. My bridesmaids were going to get alterations here but the staff so rude they took there business else where. Poor customer service and not organized at all. But the lady that did my alterations Maria very nice and she was the best out of the experience besides my dress.

They were great with my wedding dress, but when I chose the bridesmaid dresses through them, the problems started. Just trying to get only four girls measured the lady measuring them kept going to other customers to measure them even though I had an appointment with them. This made a quick simple process take longer. When the dresses finally did come in they screwed up the order. Luckily my girls were able the switch dresses and make it work but it did take too much of an effort for them to look back at their records and realize it was there mistake not ours.

LOVE my dress BUT the service stinks!!!! We had one person we loved but the rest were not nice!!!!!

They had a great selection at Elaine's and everyone was very nice to work with. My dress came in early and the alterations went smoothly

I got my dress from Elaine's after looking at several other bridal gown shops. Elaine's has an extremely large selection of bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses. However they often seemed short staffed when I would go in to look for dresses. Even though I had an appointment I would often have to share a consultant with another customer, often a customer that just walked in and didn't have an appointment.

There are a few ladies at this shop that are good at their job and then there are some that really need to retire.

Went there to try on dresses and will not go back...they don't let you take pictures until you purchase the dress, they cut the tags out of the dresses so you can't see who the designer was to get it elsewhere, and the service was not good at all...would not recommend this place for a memorable day of dress shopping!

One of my bridesmaids lives in the GB area and ordered her bm dress from Elaine's. First, my 130lb friend was told she needed a size 12 dress when her normal clothes fit her at a size 4 or 6. When she told them she felt she needed a smaller size, they refused- REFUSED- to order a smaller size and thus ordered the size 12. When my friend went back to try the dress on when it came in, it literally fell right off her small frame. She took it to an alteration place & they said they could not take enough fabric out to make the dress fit and look right, so my friend went back to Elaine's and asked them to order a new one at their expense. After a lot of grief they agreed to do so and said it would be 10 weeks. 6 weeks later my friend got a call that the dress was in, good news right?? NOT AT ALL. Elaine's did not order a new dress, they cut the tag out of the size 12 which obviously STILL did not fit when she re-tried it (which is how she realized it was the same dress). The seamstress did all she could and my friend is a beautiful person so she looked great anyway, but regardless, it was a hassle and an expensive alteration that was totally unneccessary if Elaine's had been more cooperative to order the correct size. What an extreme disappointment. I would not even give them one star but you have to rate it something. I would truly rate them at ZERO stars. If I were you, I would consider another source for your bridal wear.

What I loved most about Elaine's is that they were not so pushy and in your face like places like David's Bridal can be. They let you browse their collection and when you ask for their help they are there to help you. They also had really unique dresses that are at reasonable prices but you wont find anywhere!
