The team at Elegant Brides is fantastic! My mom and I went for the initial dress shopping appointment and went to all of the fittings afterwards. They treated us both like family! We loved working with them! And we found the prettiest dress ever, too!
Without a doubt, this was absolutely the best experience wedding dress shopping I could have asked for! I was able to try on any and every dress, it was such a comfortable environment and the owner and staff are so friendly. I couldn't recommend highly enough!
I cannot praise this store enough! Truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in regards to dress shops. This was my one and only place I went to try on wedding dresses. I had always noticed this place when I was in college. One day after getting engaged, my mom and I decided to pay this shop a visit and just LOOK at what style fit me best, and after trying on the LAST dress, that was it. I found my dress. The women were so delightful to work with and so genuine. You could tell they were so excited to see me happy and made me feel so beautiful. I will ALWAYS recommend this store to anyone and everyone who is looking for a good experience.

She helped me into it and said “Us HEAVY Girls need to stick together.” I was stunned. But just tried to tell myself that she meant it in good way. This dress ended up being MY dress!That was back in January.I got the call in the middle of August that my dress had come in and that I could come in for my 1st fitting! So I got an appointment scheduled and went in with my sister (MOH). When we walked into the room with my dress hanging up. We both looked at each other and said.. wow that’s glittery! I thought it was because I didn’t remember the dress. So I tried on the dress and kept thinking it felt different. This doesn’t seem like the one I fell in love with.. oh well it’s been awhile I probably just don’t remember it. I get the fitting done and we leave.. but I couldn’t shake the feeling that the dress felt off. So I compared photos from when I originally said yes to when I went in for the fitting. It WAS NOT MY DRESS! I called the shop and told them what was going on.. they didn’t believe me and wanted me to send the photos to them.. so I did. I probably should have noticed sooner but I was so overwhelmed that day I probably just over looked it. After over an hour of back and forth on the phone the shop finally calls me back and says yes you are correct this is not your dress. We are sorry the girl who checked you out that day was new and must have ordered the wrong one. Okay.. I am a very understanding person and I know things happen… but She just Kept going on and on about the new girl messing up. No one took responsibility for the error they just kept blaming this poor girl. Finally she offered to order MY dress for me. She assured me that the alterations would still be done in time for my wedding… which was 4 weeks out at this time. At 1st I agreed but then called back within minutes and said not to do it. That I would just deal with the one that they ordered initially for me (not my dress) I was too afraid that it wouldn’t be in on time or that something else would happen. Even though the lady kept repeating to me that the new girl was the one that made the mistake and that things like that don’t happen there. I still said to keep that one and get the alterations going. A week later I get a call that the alterations were done and that I could come in for my fitting. So I call back and schedule a time to come in for a fitting. The lady seemed very annoyed that we were even there. When she finally locates it she takes us back to a room and let me try it on. She said she didn’t know that we were coming and that the dress wasn’t ready… even though I called and scheduled an appointment for this.
So I try on the dress and it was absolutely horrible. The alterations were horrendous. Nothing was takin in like it needed to be, the belt was so high it hid the neckline and was all bunched up. I also wanted straps added to it and there were none. It looked awful. I absolutely hated this dress. I got undressed and told my mom I wanted to go.
The lady walked back in and said oh do we love it? My mom said.. no we are going to take this dress and go. The alterations were not done properly and we are leaving then the lady had as walk out the SIDE door! She wouldn’t even walk us back through the door we came! They did nothing to help fix the situation and left me looking for a seamstress to fix what they had ruined with less than 4 weeks until my wedding! They were too concerned with their bridal show to care About me and my wedding.
Kim and Dawnelle were amazing and helped me feel like a princess for the day in every way. I bought my Maggie Sottero gown from here!
My experience at Elegant Brides was amazing. Our consultant was Tanja. She was so kind and fun, but could also tell it to me straight. There was no pressure to buy that moment. I felt taken care of, and they made the day special. The dresses were beautiful and affordable. It was both intimate but also a group effort, as everyone helped out. I felt more like we were all friends vs. consultants trying to sell me stuff. Really would recommend. Amazing experience.
I was so pleased about elegant brides. They helped me pick the perfect dress. Even alterations were amazing and helped me make sure my dress was absolutely perfect!
I absolutely loved my experience at Elegant Brides! I went to two other stores (one large one in STL and another boutique in Indianapolis). By far, Elegant Brides was the store where I felt the least amount of pressure to make a decision, and the most comfortable. While the store is quite small, I thought they had a wide range of styles I enjoyed. They invited me to go into a separate room with my mom to discuss my dress decision (hence the no pressure to decide!) The second time I came in to try on my dress, they asked if I wanted to try on a brand new dress they had just received, just to see what it looked like in person.
In short: this was the store where I enjoyed my dress shopping experience the most -- the staff was laid-back, supportive, seemed genuinely excited for me when I found my dress, and helped me decide what alterations I wanted to make (which also happened to be the cheapest dress I tried on anywhere!)
I felt like a Princess at Elegant Brides! I was late to my appointment and when I called they were so kind and understanding! When I finally arrived they were absolutely wonderful! They pulled dresses for me and I liked every one I tried on until I found the PERFECT dress for me! They had a tiara, long earrings, and gloves for me to try on to see the full look as I knew I would wear those accessories on my big day!! They were the best, made me feel like the most special bride!

THE BEST EVER!! Everyone there was so helpful and made my day the best day ever. My engagement was so very short and I was worried about getting a dress in time. I was able to pick through all there dresses in the store and found the perfect one. Alterations went smoothly and fast. This place is a must for your wedding dress needs.

OMG. Where do I even start? I really wanted my dress shopping experience to be as quick and painless as possible. Every bride has something they're self-concious about and I was determined to not let that ruin my experience. I tried one other dress shop before this one and had a HORRIBLE experience. I'm a curvy bride and they were putting me in dresses that were a SIZE TWO! Which we all know in the wedding world really is a size 0. Anywho I came to Elegant Brides rather despondent and I was met with nothing but love. They had sample dresses of ALL SIZES priced very reasonably. The ladies there knew exactly what to do about finding dresses for me that would fit my large bust and I ended up trying on 3 dresses and the 3rd one was the winner. All of my fittings from there went wonderful and my dress fit PERFECTLY on my wedding day and it almost brought me to tears. Make sure to check out Elegant Brides. The staff are absolutely wonderful and and they have great selection in all price ranges.
Our consultant, Jamie, was excellent. She was young, fun, and a huge help when trying on dresses. After learning my style she pulled several dresses, one of which ended up being my chosen dress. I bought a bridesmaids dress that I'm ordering in white. I love it! The store has has spacious dressing rooms. I met the owner and seamstress, both very knowledgeable women.
We found my dress after heading to several other salons. There aren't a ton of dresses here compared to other stores but the gowns that are here come from amazing designers (Sottero, Midgley, Mori Lee). I found a Mori Lee that I fell in love with and the veil to match. The ladies in Elegant Brides were ALWAYS friendly and helpful. My gown did have a snafu when they had altered it at one point but the seamstresses worked with me in the store just 3 days prior to the event to make it right. Great salon, great help, great experience!
I can't say enough good things about this place! Dawnelle is amazing and I love her dearly. I was blessed to find my wedding dress here and she made the entire process easy and was with me every step of the way. As an out of town bride, she kept in contact with me and even sent me fabric colors to help me decide tux colors. My bridesmaids, mother, friends and family were impressed with the impeccable service she gave and I am forever grateful. My bridesmaids also purchased their dresses from EB as well as groomsmen getting their tuxes. One of my bridesmaids even purchased her wedding dress with Dawnelle through my process of getting mine! =) I highly recommend going here if you are looking for a beautiful dress and great service!
I don't even know where to begin with how wonderful this place is! I had gone to countless shops in the area while shopping with friends for their dresses, and Elegant Brides is the best in the area - no contest. So, when it was time for me to pick my dress, EB was the only place I went to look. I have gotten my prom dresses there in the past and the owner, Dawnelle, remembers me from that long ago!
I didn't really know what I wanted so I showed her a few pictures of dresses I like and she pulled a few into the dressing room for me to try. I tried on several and fell in love with one, but wanted a different sort of back to it. It was a strapless dress with cap sleeves, but I wanted a keyhole back - so they hand stitched an entirely new back for me! I can't count the times I went in for fittings and wanted "Just one more thing changed" (I'm sure I was incredibly annoying) and they happily made whatever changes I requested.
In the end, my dress was absolutely what I wanted, and it is all because they care so much about their customers, that they will do whatever it takes to make their brides happy. I can't recommend them highly enough - more businesses should take a cue from Dawnelle and her staff. They are amazing.
After a truly awful first dress-shopping experience at another shop, I went to Elegant Brides after several recommendations.
The customer service was amazing. The ladies I worked with listened to what I wanted and helped me determine what would work best for me.
While I wasn't sold on anything that I tried on that day, I knew I wanted to get my dress from Elegant Brides due to their service. I researched the brands that they carried and found the dress I wanted - a Casablanca dress that is a few "model years" old and not always available in stores.
I called the owner, Dawnelle, and explained what I was wanting. They had a very similar dress in the store, but it was purchased. She let me come in to see it, and, after agreeing that it would be the best dress for me, she helped me determine the size, back style, and color, along with a few custom options.
Since I was only 6 months out from my wedding day, Dawnelle personally called the company to ensure that the dress could be made and delivered with time for alterations.
I was nervous that it wouldn't come in soon enough - as well as that I hadn't actually tried on the dress, but put my trust in Dawnelle. Sure enough, it came in with 2 months to spare.
My mom and I were so happy with the service that my mom made sure to get her mother of the bride dress from Elegant Brides as well.
Overall, I was very, very happy with them. I will say, however, that the alteration women were a little pushy and alterations were a bit pricey (though still within the typical costs of wedding dress alterations).
Would definitely recommend Elegant Brides.
I had gone to about four other stores and had no luck in finding my wedding dress. Went to Elegant Brides thinking I wouldn't have any luck and then just fell in love with the first dress I tried on. Everyone was so nice ! I didn't order my veil when I purchased the dress, but the owner helped my order afterwards which allowed me to get in time. Their seamstress did a wonderful job with the bustle ! So thankful to all the help!!!
They were the first place I went to for dress shopping. I went in on a Friday and they were so helpful with finding the right style for me. I tried on a couple of dresses, and they were all beautiful! I tried 2 other stores later that same day, but I returned to Elegant Brides the next morning to buy the dress of my dreams. They were wonderful through the whole process. My only complaint (a very small one!) is that the lady who does alterations is only there 3 days during the week. I was coming from out of town, and it was a little difficult to make that work, but I have a crazy work schedule so it was partly my own fault.

The staff at Elegant Brides is wonderful. After trying on a handful of dresses at my first visit to the store I did not find "the" dress, and did not feel pressured to buy one. My family and I returned a second time, and I did end up purchasing my dress here. Everyone is so sweet and always seemed in a great mood. The dressing rooms are well lit and there are plenty of mirrors. The whole experience was great!
I had a great experience at Elegant Brides. They have a large selection with many different styles to choose from. The dressing room area is big, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend them for dress shopping!

Dawnelle is the sweetest person I have ever met. She is excited for every bride to find the perfect wedding dress! She is energetic and fun! The shop also has a large selection of bridesmaid and flower girl dresses!
I love Donell! She is the owner of the shop and is a sweetheart. Had no problems trying on, ordering, fitting, picking up my dress. My only complaint, not enough wedding dresses for us robust women to try on! That's ok though, found my perfect dress there as did my sisters when they got married. There is one older women that works there who is a little...opinionated lets say and made my 16 year old sister-in-law almost cry when she was trying on her bridesmaid dress. I was very upset with the woman's lack of tact and wish she didn't work there because I'm always recommending Elegant Brides to friends and always tell them to avoid that woman like the plague. Every other staff member I've met has been out of their way nice. One girl even tried on a bridesmaid dress for us when it came in a size my sisters couldn't shimmy into! She was a super champ for helping us out :)
Tons of beautiful weddin gowns to choose from along with a wide price range. Very friendly service! The ladies were able to alternate my dress in just a few days because I didn't have much time. Be sure to order dress 4-6 ahead of time because it will take awhile to come in!
Elegant brides did everything possible to make my wedding dress spectacular. I couldn't have asked for better service for myself or my bridesmaids. They are very friendly and not pushy like so many other shops.
The service is top notch at Elegant Brides. My vision was specific for my dress and they customized the dress for me. I found THE dress there and they made the adjustments, detachable bottom, for me. Variety of styles and prices.
Danelle is great to work with. She is very helpful and patient. The only complaint I have is that they wouldn't steam the dress. I'm not sure if that is something that most bridal shops normally do or not. But is was kind of a pain to find a place to steam it.

It was easy to talk to them and they listen. I had surgery the week before the wedding and went in four days before the wedding to add straps to my dress. They did it right then and there. Love them!

I bought my dress from Elegant Brides as an out of town bride. They were so pleasant to work with and worked with my travel schedule to ensure I could come in when I was visiting family to do my fitting, etc. Great!
I ordered my wedding dress from Elegant Brides and also had my alterations done there. Every time we went into the shop, we received excellent service. I had to have my dress taken in quite a bit and the alterations were done extremely well. We also felt that everything was done at a very fair price.

My mom and I both got our dress there. She didn't want to get hers taken it but they insisted. She got it back week before wedding and it was wayyyy to tight and she had lost weight! I paid $90 for my bussel (sp?) and it came out and ripped within 45 minutes of the start of the reception.
After searching all over for my dream dress, I found just what I was looking for at Elegant Brides. The staff was helpful and friendly. I am originally from the area and now live 6 hours away. They were very flexible with fittings. My mother picked up my dress and brought it to the wedding and it was pressed to perfection. I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond!!!
When I went into this shop (which ended up being several times after my first visit), the women went out of their way to cater to me and my guests that came along! I went to this dress shop first, and after that, no other shop compared! The service I received was unbeatable by any other salon I went into. The ladies at Elegant Brides know what they are doing! If you really want to full-on BRIDE treatment, go here! They are not pushy or anything!! They want your day and dress to be just as perfect as you imagine it!

I got my bridal gown, the bridesmaid dresses, and my Mom's gown at Elegant Brides. Everytime I went in everyone was very helpful. I went in 3 times and tried on numerous dresses before I finally picked out my gown. Every time someone was there to help me try on the dresses. This was the same when my sister went in to try on bridesmaid dresses. When I got my dress it was just as beautiful as I had imagined. Thank you for all your help~!

Elegant Brides was my first choice when I thought about shopping for my wedding gown and bridesmaid dresses. They don't have a HUGE selection of gowns, but have enough to cover all of the latest dress trends and classic gown styles. They also sell Maggie Sottero, which is a major plus.
The staff was very helpful in the selection process and made sure that the long and strenuous task of trying on dresses went as smooth as possible. Same goes for the bridesmaid dresses.

My girls bought their dresses here. I was on a pretty tight budget for my dress so I ended up at a chain bridal store. Biggest mistake! Elegant Bride was wonderful from the moment we walked through their door. I had found a bridesmaid dress that I really liked, in a magazine. Elegant Bride didn't have that style dress in stock so the manager ordered the dress in my matron of honor's size and in the color of my choice. She said when it came in we could come back and try it on. If we decided we didn't like them she would just keep the dress as a store sample. Not many stores would go out of their way like that. I bought my shoes and my daugther's shoes, both dyable, there and were told to bring them after the wedding and they would dye them black for no additional charge. The manager was always so pleasant to work with and she made you feel so comfortable. I would recommend this store to any bride searching for herself or her wedding party.
