, but our family and friends were incredibly impressed when we performed our first dance. Kit was so patient with us and found ways of communicating effectively exactly what we needed to do for both my husband and I. She worked with our schedules and made it so we danced beautifully for our wedding. Coming from someone who has two left feet, she helped me feel so elegant while dancing and I never thought that we would look that graceful. Thank you for everything!

Malin, however, took our dance to the next level. She choreographed over a dozen different moves to span the size of our dance floor at our venue, worked with us on the smallest details from form, hand placement, where to look, arm styling, how to parade in after our grand entrance, and even reminding us constantly to smile (and not look like we are thinking too hard). Malin worked with our schedules, since we work 9 - 6pm M-F and met with us late at night and on the weekends. Our dance impressed even our oldest guests. The "flashiness" of it had the crowd going wild. We can't wait to go back to take causal group lessons and continue dancing with Elegant Dancing.

They took all of the COVID precautions; taking our temperature before coming in, recording who was where for contact tracing, keeping us all in separate rooms, everyone wearing masks, all of that stuff. My wife and I felt completely safe at all times. Lukas choreographed a special dance for us, making adjustments where needed, and provided us with feedback to help make our special day truly amazing! The compliments that we received after our "first dance" where amazing, and we both felt wonderful performing in front of the crowd. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out!!!

SO nice and SO accommodating! And our dance instructor, Michele, was phenomenal. She choreographed such a unique dance for us. We danced to 3 songs with 3 different dance styles. I am not a good dancer, but she was able to explain and break the dance moves down in such a logical way. She is such a great instructor and also gave us the confidence to do the dance! During one of the sessions that she could not make, we had Alex as our instructor and he was also incredible. Similar to Michele he was able to explain things in such a coherent way. We are SO happy that we chose Elegant Dancing to have dance lessons at. We live in D.C. so it was a trek to get there from where we live, but it was recommended to us by our wedding planner and after our first session we were convinced that having lessons at Elegant Dancing was worth the travel. The owners (Chris and Una) are also super nice. After one lesson that ended late, Chris was so kind to drive us to the metro station! Words cannot express how grateful we are to everyone at Elegant Dancing and especially to Michele for creating and helping us to execute the perfect first dance! We will treasure that memory of our first dance at our wedding for the rest of our lives!

They were quick to respond to my questions before booking, and once we had booked they cut my song like I asked, and then went with the flow when we had a sudden change in song and dance style! Kit was our instructor – she was friendly and very helpful. She didn’t worry if we went a little over during class…the most important thing was that we felt comfortable with the moves. My father/daughter dance went beautifully the day of the wedding (my mom LOVED it), and that’s because of the instruction and support we received from Elegant Dancing. I highly recommend them!
