By the end of January, I had learned that Nikki had taken some time off for personal reasons, which is great - if you need time, take it, and I am in no way knocking someone for trying to be their best self here! The problem was that Nikki left me and other brides completely in the dark. No one initially knew why she had disappeared for months. I was not given the contact information for any other person who could step in and pick up the slack while Nikki was away. I actually only learned of what was going on when I reached out myself and was put in contact with one of Nikki's former assistant planners. If I hadn't done that, I have no faith anyone would have reached out to me. The entire situation was poorly handled and reflects poor business practices. Eventually, when Nikki resurfaced (about 3 months before my wedding when I had already started to do nearly all planning tasks myself), all trust was gone for purpose of working with her moving forward. I could not trust that Nikki wouldn't disappear again and the situation was so stressful that I did not want a reminder of that present on my wedding day. Despite the situation being entirely Nikki's own doing (in poorly managing the situation) and us receiving nearly none of what were were promised from her, she has thus far refused to refund us any portion of the 75% of our contract price that we paid her.

h Nikki in Wilmington on December 22 and went over our general vision for the wedding weekend. She promised to follow up shortly with recommendations for our different major vendors. We have not heard from her since. After we sent numerous emails and text messages over the three weeks between December 23 and January 14 with no response, I located the email address for the other lead planner at Elevee. This person responded promptly, and we set up a call for the following day. I was very surprised to learn that this colleague had not been able to get in contact with Nikki, either, and had no idea when she would return. Given this situation, I sent a letter to Nikki via email and first class mail on around January 15 informing her that she was in breach of our contract and we considered the contract terminated. I requested the refund of the deposit we had paid her ($3,025), as she had provided us with no tangible services. We have not received our money back and have received no response. We were forced to hire another wedding planner and are now feeling a time crunch given that many vendors are already booked. We just hope that Nikki refunds our deposit without us having to take legal action.

After two months of radio silence (save for one email in December, in which she apologized and said that she had jury duty), we had no choice but to demand our money back due to breach of contract. We have since found another wedding planner, who was shocked to hear about Nikki's unprofessionalism, lack of communication, and shady behavior. No one should have to deal with this as they prepare for their wedding. If you're in the market for a Delaware-based wedding planner, Nikki Chambers is NOT the person you're looking for. If I could leave 0 stars, I would.

came highly recommended so we had no issues with signing a legal binding contract for her services and paying her a deposit of 1900.00. For almost 11 months of 2019, she communicated with me and started plans for my June 20 ,2020 wedding day. In September of 2019, we paid her another 900.00 towards her contract per our agreement, bringing our total paid to 2800.00. Nicole reached out in October making us aware she was ill but would still be working on my wedding. This didn’t happen. In December 2019 I had one phone call with her and she promised to communicate and make things right. She again provided no communication or her services after said phone call. She has refused to call, text, email or use social media to both answer my pleas for help or return any messages. I even used registered and certified mail to communicate with her and Elevee and Co. To date, I have no choice but to find another wedding planner and ask for the return of my deposit as she is in breach of her own contract. Nicole has been unprofessional and lacked integrity through these last several months and her business appears to be a scam. No bride should have this happen on her most important day. We would like to terminate our contract with Elevee and Co moving forward.”

I think about my wedding and at least 90% of that is because of Nikki (I have to give at least 10% to the fact that I was marrying the best person I know). I wasn’t a “typical” bride; I never imagined my wedding or had any idea about what I wanted so I was kind of lost when it came to planning. Nikki was the *THIRD* planner we hired - the first just wasn’t a good fit for us or our style, the second had some issues and after seeing Nikki in action at another wedding I knew she was exactly what we needed. After our first planning meeting with Nikki I knew we had made the right decision and the wedding planning stress just started fading away. Nikki asked us questions, listened to what we wanted and didn’t want, and took what we had already done and was able to create a vision that we didn’t even know we had. She was open and honest with us and if we wanted to do something that wouldn’t work, she told us. She pushed us to add some details that I didn’t think were necessary, but I’m so glad she did because those little (and inexpensive) details are what made the difference between “average” and amazing. In the days leading up to the wedding she emailed, called, texted and FaceTimed with us to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were OK and not stressed. Now for the important part, on our wedding day I didn’t think about a single thing except that I was getting married. I didn’t think about what time it was because I knew Nikki had made a schedule with our vendors to make sure everything went perfectly, I didn’t worry if things were done because I knew they were, I just got to enjoy my day and that is because we had Nikki. As my husband and mother have said, I was freakishly calm. I knew our wedding would be nice, but I never could have imagined how absolutely perfect it was (it’s over a year later and we are still hearing from people about how perfect our wedding was). When I walked into our venue my jaw just dropped. Nikki took what I had in my mind in a jumble of thoughts and ideas and just figured it out. I don’t know how she did it, but I suspect she has some sort of magical powers that she’s keeping a secret. I could go on and on about Nikki, she’s amazing, kind, smart, funny, she seems to be able to do anything and I really wish I could just have her with me every day for the rest of my life.

Throughout this process we would all (including my parents and my husband's) often comment, thank goodness for Nikki! She thought of EVERY detail (truly not one thing was missed she impressed us 10 times over) and listened so intently to everything we liked and wished for (and then made it happen). She made the process fun and throughout made me feel special and cared for. I did truly feel that I made a friend through the process of planning our wedding and even though I know she was working on other weddings Nikki always made me feel important and special. The wedding that resulted from Nikki and her team's flawless planning was beyond what I could have every dreamed up on my own and really represented us as a couple. Our guests commented that this was the best wedding they had ever been to and it was really one of the best days of our lives. We were on cloud 9 the whole weekend and a large part of that was because we knew that Elevee & Co. had it all covered and would do whatever it took to pull off a flawless wedding day. When people asked me that weekend if I was "stressed" I truly never was and seeing Nikki and her team throughout our special day brought me the most joy - I could truly feel how much they deeply cared about our wedding and us as people. Working with Elevee & Co. was the best decision we made and I feel so lucky to know this fantastic team of people. I cannot imagine a better planning team and I couldn't thank Nikki enough for giving us such a special wedding day.

When it came to the Day Of, we had total peace of mind knowing we were in good hands (and you can’t put a price on that). ur “plan b” ceremony into effect! Many of our guests commented on what a rockstar she was. Prior to the day though, Nikki’s vision and attention to detail blew me away. She even impressed my mom (hard to do!) with her cost cutting strategies to keep us way under budget. If we had to do it all over again we wouldn’t change a thing...except to find her sooner!

Everyone at the beach should use Nikki for any events/weddings because she truly will make it perfect. Our wedding night bonfire was by far one of the highlights of our wedding weekend!

Any time someone asks me wedding planning advice now the first thing I say is get a wedding planner. Nicole made the process so special. People have asked me if I'm relieved for the day to be over and I honestly feel so amazing about the whole process that I can't even say that. Everything was fun for my now husband and I and our vision came true. Nicole Bailey, Nikki Chambers and Heidi Wagner were truly INCREDIBLE!!

I could tell as she worked with the other vendors, that they respected her and that they genuinely liked her and were wiling to go the extra mile for her, meaning they would go the extra mile for us as well. She was able to guide us and give us her advice (when we asked for it) but she also went to bat for us with anything we felt strongly about. She attended all of our meetings with vendors and helped support my wants perfectly. She attended even more meetings and spoke to vendors without us present (since we aren’t from the area) and I could trust her to back my thinking. Nicole knows that I like to work out, and is in great shape herself, so she invited me to start the wedding day by taking me on a run—how many wedding planners would do that!? It was an optional invitation, of course. It was a de-stressor for me, and it was a great run where we just talked and enjoyed the morning! She then began her day of getting everything ready, and I went to shower and relax. The entire day of the wedding was actually relaxing. I felt confident and secure knowing that Nicole and her assistant were running the show, and I could just enjoy the day. Yes, you read that correctly, on the day of, she brings an assistant! So there are two Nicoles the day of—it’s like having your own little army. They had everything and were everywhere. During the night, I was so busy with guests, they were grabbing me drinks, speaking to the vendors for me, organizing my gifts, basically doing anything and everything I needed, so I could just enjoy myself. She even cleaned up my hotel room and put extra cake in the fridge for the next morning! Nicole’s whole thing was “What you and the groom want, is what you want, and that’s what we will make happen”. I read prior to my wedding that “something always goes wrong” however, with Nicole, literally nothing went wrong. When little snags came up, Nicole dealt with them, leaving me to have fun with my guests. The Wedding was beyond perfect. It was my dream wedding. I did not have an easy vision either. Nicole was able to take all of my ideas and run with them. She quite literally made my dream come alive. The day was magical. Nicole’s perfectionist personality and attention to every last detail made it so. The planning process was much smoother and well navigated than I ever though it would be. Nicole is extremely efficient, intelligent, and competent. On a personal level, Nicole is an amazing person to work with. She is decisive and will support the bride and groom in every possible way. She answered all of my hundreds of anxious emails quickly and was patient with us during the entire process. She is also just great to talk to. I enjoyed her as a person, just as much as I did my planner. She is genuine and cool and keeps everything really light and fun. She is someone you’d want to hang out with. I can’t say enough good things about Nicole. She is the reason my wedding was what it was. Do yourself a favor and hire Nicole, because I highly doubt anyone can do what she does!
