If you are wondering where to book a good DJ for your wedding - this is literally it. We were so scared of having a corny DJ that played stuff we didn’t like and messed things up, but our DJ Mario was PHENOMENAL!! The DJ planning process was the easiest part of the entire wedding planning process, it’s all on their website and you can pick your own music, make requests, and include all the details of your wedding so nothing goes wrong. Mario was so professional and friendly and absolutely nothing went wrong! Everybody had the best time! I would seriously recommend them to anybody I know planning a wedding.

From the very beginning, the owner, John, was organized and kept us in...
formed. The process was extremely easy to understand and book thanks to him. John laid out all of our options and provided us with details regarding each option. There was transparency through the whole process. If I had any questions, I would shoot John an email and he would respond within a few hours, at the most! There is a questionnaire they create and send over to you to fill out. Based on this questionnaire, you decide what style of reception/dance floor you want (more exciting, more laid back, or something in between!) from here, they hand pick your DJ.
After Elite Pro DJ assigns you a DJ they personally will contact you the week of the wedding to go over the questionnaire and you can use this time to ask any and all questions. There wasn’t a question we asked that wasn’t answered! Our conversation with Jimmy (our selected DJ) provided us with so much relief prior to the day of. Jimmy ensured us he would keep everyone on track and on time for different transitions during the ceremony and reception.
For the day of, Jimmy did not let us down! He eased our nerves and kept the ceremony/reception organized. Jimmy was able to play certain songs to really get people out on the dance floor and moving (which is quite an accomplishment for some of my family members, haha) Jimmy was truly an unsung hero for us with the wedding.
I could not recommend Elite Pro DJ, and more specifically Jimmy, enough!

excellently with our coordinator team, helped keep us on schedule, and ensured all of our carefully crafted plans throughout our timeline went off well. After our booking, we weren't matched with the DJ until about 2 weeks before our event and we had about an hour call to discuss the details and our preferences as a couple. My only feedback and why I left at 4/5 stars was that in retrospect, as a couple we maybe should have been firmer in our language for which songs we considered a must play vs. a nice to hear category. When we submitted our preferences, we only had 2-3 songs in our "Must Play" category and 20+ songs in the "Nice to Hear" plus we listed 4 suggested slow songs. Unfortunately, we didn't get to really hear any of those songs other than our "Must Play" list. We had assumed that they would mostly play our requests, but I think max we only heard about 40% of our song choices. Everyone still had a great time and there were still some good song choices, but we would have liked to hear even more of our picks!

When he arrived he connected with everyone at the venue to ensure everything was communicated clearly and we all were on the same timeline. They assign you a DJ with the specifications of what you’d like for your event (ie: someone who just plays music / someone who can get guests moving, but not overbearing / someone who gets people pumped up). I knew that we’d like Jim from the moment we had our discussion the week leading up to the wedding to go over details. He was amazing at using songs on our playlist to craft the perfect recipe of music to keep people on the dance floor! He knew how to keep the party going and could read the room.

Patrick, her DJ, explained to me that the main issue was in the process of getting the guests from the inside reception area to the outside area for the ceremony. The coordinator was getting concerned as the ceremony was nearing the start time and too many of the guests were still inside. Patrick was making a hard push effort to get the guests moving to the outside and came off overly tone-abrasive in the process. He understands why some of the guests may have perceived him as being rude and, in hindsight, said he will adjust the way he handles a situation like this in the future. Patrick and I are both very sorry for any guests that may have been offended by his approach.

Also, they played the wrong song for the bridal party entrance into the reception. Though the music during cocktail hour was apparently correct, the dinner music was weird. Also, I was expecting to have shorten lengths of songs and mashups… like you see at other weddings and videos. We didn’t get that at all. It was one full length song to the next. And if everyone wasn’t dancing to it he didn’t change the song. Just kept the same stupid song on

nderstanding on our part for how the DJ mixed the music. I was a bit surprised because Jimmy (or Jim), her DJ, has been with us for 12 years and is one of our most popular and requested DJs. I also immediately contacted Jimmy to find out what happened here. He told me she never said she wanted a mash up style mix, which Mary, the bride agreed is true in our conversation. We provide more of standard style mix while playing the music, which we have found most of our customers prefer. We can easily do mash mixes but we typically only do so upon the customers request. As far as the explicit music, our approach is always clean edit unless the customer specifies otherwise. Jimmy told me he may have misunderstood but thought that they were fine with the radio, non explicit versions. He also did play 100% of the songs during the dancing period from their specific lists. The date stamped history card from his media player shows this. The groom did come up later in the night and requested a song that is explicit and Jimmy did in fact play that. With all this said, in the future we will look at the way we approach the customers preferred music style in the pre-call with more detail. We feel bad that they were disappointed and completely understand their feelings in the review. They were a very nice couple and we only wish we could have better met their expectations.

y what I wanted from the experience. I also really liked the online form where I could fill out every song that I wanted and what time everything would be happening/who would be speaking. It was really easy to navigate and it made it so that I didn’t have to figure out all of the details myself - I just answered the questions. Robin even got to the venue early because she hadn’t been there before and wanted to make sure everything got set up perfectly and with time to spare and I thought that was really thoughtful. I absolutely recommend this DJ service for any events you need to add a soundtrack to!

Jon respected our wishes and was so professional about everything.
He handled things extremely well. We had an issue with the pastor who married us. We had asked the pastor a week or two prior to the wedding if he would at least come by the reception hall to say the blessing at the wedding (He said yes at the time.), and he no showed. Jon had announced that the pastor would come up and say the blessing, and of course there was radio silence because we quickly realized the pastor wasn’t there. Once we told Jon that he didn’t show up, Jon said a quick blessing and our meal began.
We started the dances, and we could not keep people off of the dance floor. Jon kept pace with the crowd so well and everyone had such a blast! What my husband and I didn’t realize at the time was that my husband’s Uncle Joe had a surprise song picked out for us as well as green Irish polo shirts made for all of us (inside joke) and we essentially had a bit of a flash mob at our wedding. Kudos to Jon for going along with his idea! That was so funny and it made our wedding so special.
Overall, it was a wonderful evening and I truly hope every couple is blessed with a DJ like Jon. I don’t think he could have done anything better honestly. You will not find a better DJ in the St. Louis / Metro East area! Thanks Jon!

and play if you can list, he asked if we had more songs or if we wanted him to choose. He had about two hours worth of our songs so he knew the genres we liked so I told him to wing it. He did fantastic and no one knew anything happened. Our guests loved our music and had so much fun.

ceremony & reception all in one location, so we had Elite Pro DJ do music for everything at a very affordable price! Our DJ, Patrick, arrived to the venue 2+ hours before the ceremony started to set up all his equipment. He played prelude music for 30 minutes before the ceremony started as guests arrived which set the tone for the whole evening. His timing for all our ceremony songs was perfect. Music was then played throughout our cocktail hour and then during the reception. Our dance floor was PACKED which was my biggest hope for the evening. We had a Zoom meeting with Patrick a week before the wedding and he was extremely thorough with his questions and timeline to ensure our day went smoothly. He brought warmth and enthusiasm to our day in a very professional manner. We cannot recommend Elite Pro DJ enough!
