Unfortunately, we had a bit of a bait-and-switch situation with our DJ/MC from this company. We spoke multiple times with David over the phone who was very helpful, and we provided...
him with detailed timelines for our reception. However, he never put us into contact with our actual DJ and MC. As the reception was starting, both came over to introduce themselves to us for the first time. From the start of the reception, it was clear that the MC had not even looked at our timelines for the night. He was rude to several members of our bridal party, as well as to some of our other vendors, and announced incorrect instructions to our guests multiple times, despite us having written out word-for-word instructions on how we wanted the different components of our night introduced. The only thing that saved us was our amazing wedding coordinator who was constantly running over to the DJ booth to correct the MC. We were hosting a bicultural wedding and once the music started, we were also disappointed to find that the extensive list of song requests (including multiple songs in Spanish) we had provided was barely used. Over the roughly 2 hours of dancing, they played approximately 6 songs in Spanish, and we had to go ourselves or send our guests over to request songs that we had already listed on the DJ "must play list" in order for those songs to be played. If you have booked this vendor, we hope you have a better experience than we did, but if not, we recommend you look elsewhere.
Elite Pro Events is a must for your big day!! Our DJ was awesome! We put together a document with songs we want and didn’t want, and she took our vision for our music and brought i...
t to life! The dance floor was packed until the party was over. The Elite Pro Events team was easy to communicate with and made the process very smooth. We would highly recommend them!
Elite Pro Events DJ service was just okay. My fiance (now Husband!) and I spent a lot of time putting together a playlist of songs, including song requests we'd solicited from gues...
ts on our RSVPs, oldies, and EDM. We had spoken to our DJ about including a nice mix of traditional Hispanic banda music and popular wedding music. Whenever we made specific requests to our DJ he played what we asked, but overall I felt like he played a pre-made wedding mix of songs and didn't include many of the songs on our playlist. Our DJ David was also kind of difficult to get in touch with. He prefers phone calls over email, even with simple changes, and with my very demanding job, I often didn't have time to call him. I would have preferred to work via email.
Additionally, in his service package, it said he would provide a hand held microphone for the ceremony, and he did not bring one. The result was that a number of people in the back were not able to hear the ceremony.
Elite Pro was affordable for our wedding, which was on a tight budget. Our guests seemed happy with the music and the dance floor was full throughout the night. If you're looking for an affordable, normal DJ service, then Elite Pro is for you. If you want a more hands-on, customized experience, you may want to look elsewhere.
Initially we spoke to David, who is the owner of Elite Pro events. We contacted him shortly before the wedding and he was super informative and affordable for our budget. My husban...
d and I were feeling very secure with our choice to work with Elite Pro.
The night before the wedding I had sent over the final playlist, which I had been piecing together a few days prior. (That was totally on me - I should've had the playlist done a bit earlier.) David never received my email, which led to a panic the day of the wedding. That was totally out of everyone's control, however, the music the day of the wedding was great. We had uplighting which was also really nice to amp up the ambiance of our James Bond themed wedding.
The day of the wedding, David sent one of his DJs, Autumn, over to work the event. I felt as if she was nervous, or insecure about DJ-ing. She took direction well, but I was hoping for someone with a little more energy. I don't think we jived very well, like we did previously with David over the phone.
Overall, Elite Pro was super professional, punctual, and flexible.
We're very happy with all the services we got from Elite Pro Events for our wedding! I got a package that included DJ, string trio and photographer, and they were ALL amazing and m...
uch more affordable than many others I researched before choosing. Dave was literally the best to work with between all my vendors. He's very responsive and accommodating and makes you feel safe about all the services provided. I asked for very uncommon songs for the string trio to play on our ceremony and they were able to do them all! The DJ was amazing! He was able to accommodate all my special requests (Brazilian songs...) and the dance floor was full until the end of the party. We also loved our photographer, Markham Jenkins. Elite Pro Events was one of best decisions we've made for our wedding!
