dress. While waiting for my dress to arrive, I did anxiously call to get information on it. The team was able to respond relatively quickly about the timeline and gave me reassurance when I was having a little freak out that my dress hadn't arrived just yet 4 months out.

t now. I found Elite Secrets through Instagram months before I was engaged, and fell in love with what I saw. I was happy to support a Black-owned female-run business because that aligns with my core values as a fellow Black woman. Everything seemed perfect when my mom, my sister, and I visited on White Friday to pick out my dream dress. I especially loved the claim that they tailor to all body types, and I *especially* loved that they have different colored mesh to sew onto dresses so that brides with darker skin tones don’t have to look ashy with generic mesh panels. That was in late November. We finalized the purchase of my dress in early to mid-December because my wedding is on June 12th. It is now the beginning of April and I haven’t heard a single update. At the time of purchase, it was my understanding that it could take 4-6 months for my dress to arrive, and I was okay with that knowledge of shipping delays due to the pandemic and what not. I’m still okay with that knowledge and am not expecting things to be perfect. However, what I am not okay with at all is the absolute lack of communication from this establishment. I have been calling at minimum once a month and sometimes up to three times a month since late February/early March, simply asking for an update on my dress. Every single time I have called, I have been told that they are “trying to contact the manufacturer” and will “put a note in my profile and get back to [me] with an update.” And every single time I have been left hanging with no update, not in email form, and not in the form of a phone call. It is now the beginning of April, and I called a couple of days ago, only to receive the exact same answer, with the exact same outcome - no update whatsoever. I am so disappointed. I am so frustrated. I blindly put my trust in this establishment without first checking reviews, so I hope this is a wake-up call to somebody else so they are at least aware that this can happen to them too. The sad thing is that I chose to shop here instead of just buying a dress online, just for the purpose of supporting a Black-owned business, and I am now starting to regret my decision. I am so stressed and anxious during a time that is supposed to be filled with joy and anticipation, and it really feels to me like the staff ultimately do not care about me and my wedding, which was NOT the vibe I got from actually shopping in person. I have been going through so much stress and anxiety that it is now starting to manifest in physical ways on my body. While it appears to be a long shot, I may return to this review after my honeymoon is over and update it if the situation works out for the best, in the interest of providing an honest wholistic look at the situation. I hope to be able to do that, because I hate having to leave a bad review like this for a place I dreamed of shopping at for months.

After I chose my dress I tried on different veils, jewelry and even walked down “an aisle” through the shop to the song I’ll be walking to at my wedding. This moment really made my dress shopping experience amazing. Afterward, my bride tribe and I were offered champagne and took lots of pictures to celebrate. I highly recommend Elite Secrets Bridal! They have the best selection of gowns to fit any style, size or budget. You get one-on-one service in a beautiful shop and Tonya and her staff go above and beyond to make you feel special.

She talked with me first about what I liked, didn't like, and was open to. Then she gave my whole group freedom to pick dresses for me to try on. She thoughtfully chose the order of dresses to try on to help me narrow down features I liked or didn't. She used all of my feedback to pinpoint a dress I hadn't tried on yet, that might just be the one! Throughout the appointment, I went from having no clue what I wanted to being pretty darn sure. Sabrina did not once make me feel pressured to make a purchase I wasn't ready to make yet. I had a wonderful experience with my family and can't thank Sabrina enough for making it so positive and memorable.

e me feel like a real bride. She was so open to any of my questions, suggestions, worries, and requests to tweak things. Her work is also stunning: she was able to draw from the limited explanation and create a look that I was truly comfortable with. Her choice of products was also high quality, as I did not even feel like I had any make-up on. I felt like a queen on my wedding day and my now husband (who does not like any make-up) agreed that I look amazing. Tonya was so sweet and did wonders at reminding me, aiding with logistics, and making things super easy for me and my wedding party. She was true to her word when she said that she would see me through to the last moment when I left my hotel on the morning of. Even her hairstylist was fantastic. The stylist was also able to create a intricate, soft hairstyle that was perfect. She too took my suggestions well and created a lovely design from little guidance. I would HIGHLY recommend that any and all brides in the area check out Elite Secrets Bridal, especially if you want to feel like a pampered, in charge bride. I cannot speak highly enough about this company! :-)

They had a full team to do the hair and makeup for my partner and I's bridal party of 15 women, 2 MOB's, and both of us! Tonya's talents for makeup were incredible and we were so happy the day of. We highly recommend them!!

They really took time to help me find my dress and didnt tell me I was too curvy to have what I wanted. I also tried on detailed gowns I never thought I would like. In the end this Curvy girl got her dress and a long lasting friendship. Latonya and her team have also taken time to answer questions about wedding planning to help me handle the stress. You can tell they really care about helping their Brides!! I Cant wait to have T and the team do my hair and make-up as well. #OneStopShop !
