Lauren is great if you have a dark and moody wedding vibe you’re going for. I was a gothic bride , and sometimes finding alternative visionaries is hard in Iowa or the Midwest.
Lauren ultimately crushed it and I immediately put my trust in her and she delivered. She exceeded expectations with my vision. I gave her all the decor I wanted and a rough idea of how I wanted things to go and she took care of it all. There was constant availability for communication.
When the day of arrived Lauren made it so easy and I was not stressed at all. She was very good at taking initiative and being “the boss” while also keeping the bride and grooms best interest in mind. I blinked and everything was already set up and torn down when the night came to an end. I was able to enjoy time as a bride and be with my friends and family. I never had to panic about anything, as she took care of it all.
My family was so incredibly impressed with her leadership and they were so happy I worked with her!!

I found my love for wedding and event planning working as a personal assistant to a wedding planner in Colorado, and the second I planned a wedding from start to finish, I knew this was the perfect career for me. She even helped us find and organize florals last minute for the bridesmaids’ bouquets, which was such a lifesaver. Over promised, under delivered, zero coordination. If I could change one thing about my wedding, I would have hired a different partial planner, or none at all. She promised severa...
l things she didn't deliver on, including bringing an assistant. She showed up with the wrong version of my timeline, which she failed to share with the wedding party or certain vendors. I went to bed frantic the night before after being bombarded by guests who didn't know where to go the next day (she even had ME confused as to what time I was supposed to show up) and guests who said that the rehearsal left them confused because "they received no direction". I woke up the next morning to texts from the hair/makeup team who hadn't been instructed where to go. I barely slept and spent the morning very upset that nobody knew what was going on - the exact stress one hires a coordinator to avoid.
She did the bare minimum of installing my decor and coordinating our rentals (the job I assume her assistant should have done) but did zero coordination the day of for the actual wedding party or guests. She failed to arrange ground transportation for my mother and mother in law with mobility issues, despite several discussions and an email reminder the week before. She failed to move furniture I had rented based on her assurance that she could move/restage it at various points during the event, so those rentals were a waste. She didn't manage our timeline AT ALL so we missed several key things - including our much needed pre-ceremony dance practice, so we wasted part of our reception making that up. She also failed to manage the timing of the miniature doney surprise I had planned for my kids - I had been explicit to time this so I wouldn't miss their reaction. Not only did I miss it, but apparently she didn't realize this was for the kids at all. Their satchels were loaded with beer (despite the organized spreadsheet I provided with an itemized list of the drinks, straws, etc. to use). Thanks for the beers for my 2- and 5- year olds!
Conclusion: not competent, colossal waste of money.

our experience did not meet expectations. I take all feedback seriously and want to address some of the concerns you raised for clarity.
First, I want to note that I never promised an assistant for your wedding. Assistants are not part of my standard package for weddings under 100 guests, as this is not something clients pay for but something I personally cover on select larger events. For that reason, I do not guarantee one.
Regarding the timeline, like all of my couples, yours was finalized and reviewed together two weeks prior to your wedding. If there were inconsistencies, they would have needed to be shared with me then so adjustments could be made. I also use a professional platform that tracks delivery of the timeline, and I have records showing each of your vendors received and opened the updated version. As is standard practice, couples are responsible for sharing the timeline with their wedding party and guests in advance, since I do not have their personal contact information. On your wedding day, however, I went above and beyond by printing and distributing copies to ensure everyone had access.
For your hair and makeup team, the agreed timeline had my arrival scheduled at 8:00am, while their start time was 7:00am. Had an earlier arrival been necessary, that change needed to be discussed and confirmed during your two-week meeting.
With regard to guest transportation, we had discussed the possibility of using the venue’s golf cart if time allowed, but the venue did not permit me to operate it. Instead, we worked around this by allowing guests to drive to where they needed to be. Similarly, furniture set-up or moving is not included in my services, as outlined in your contract, and this was reviewed in our meetings prior to the wedding.
Finally, while I worked to manage the flow of events as best as possible, certain schedule delays—such as photography running behind—did impact the timing of activities like your dance practice.
I regret that your experience was not what you had envisioned, and I will continue to refine my communication and processes to better serve future couples. I truly wish you and your family the best as you look back on your wedding day.

If I was ever nervous which was RARE because she made sure to always keep me reassured how everything will turn out well. Lauren was such a pleasure to work with. She played a critical role in the success of our wedding day. She did an incredible amount of behind the scenes work and took so much stress off of us, we would not have done it without her.
She’s very friendly, professional, responsive, and highly knowledgeable about wedding planning. During planning meetings, she was in control and knew exactly what questions to ask to make sure we were on the right track. It was exactly the kind of guidance we needed. She recommended having a photobooth, and it was a huge hit! She even sat in on a meeting with our DJ to help us plan the ceremony and grand entrance.
Thanks to Lauren, we were able to book hair and makeup artists. Before her, I reached out to over a dozen salons on my own and got no response. But when Lauren reached out, they immediately got back to us. She knew some very reputable salons and we were happy with her recommendation.
She helped us decorate and took care of a lot of small details that would have gone unchecked without her. Such as turning on all of our LED candles before dinner, cleaning up decor from the ceremony space, and putting out metaphorical fires during the reception, like when we had no plates for appetizers, and needed emergency bottles of champagne. She discreetly took care of it all. She made sure everyone was where they needed to be and that everything ran on schedule. I know our guests appreciated it.
Her services are an excellent value, and I can’t recommend Elizabeth Bliss Events enough!

She checked in at every step to ensure things were getting planned, ordered, etc on time. Gave us ideas on vendors, decor, color schemes, and whatever else we needed. On the actual wedding day she did EVERYTHING. There was zero stress the entire day, she dealt with everything- all the guests, vendors, moving around decor or desserts, to ensuring every flower was in place, to navigating the little glitches and questions along the way- she did it all. Lauren was the best decision we made! I can’t think about how our day would’ve gone if we didn’t have Lauren as our coordinator! It was a dream, not having to worry about a single thing other than marrying my husband.
She took care of anything and everything and made sure that our day was the exact way we envisioned it. Answered every question I had and helped us envision our day clearly.
There were so many small things I either forgot or didn’t know I’d end up needing on the day of, and Lauren had it all in her kit. Which helped me look and feel my best! My shoe broke before our ceremony and she had stuff to fix it! (Thank god!! Life Saver!!)
She even took behind the scene videos for us when we were getting ready/doing first looks, which is amazing to have and I’m forever grateful for!
Our bridal party was small, but a handful, Lauren helped us keep our party in check and took no bullshit from them or anyone else. (As we had wedding crashes that she quickly took care of!) I seriously cannot recommend Elizabeth Bliss Events enough. If I could only recommend one vendor to hire for your wedding it would be her 1000%

someone as he could see how stressed I was and he was worried that would continue on to the day of our wedding. So we hired Elizabeth Bliss Events. Skipping to the end but, everyone NEEDS a day of coordinator (or a full wedding planner if you can swing it!). Our coordinator, Lauren, made the entire day flow effortlessly! She picked up the coffees and bagels for the bridesmaids, set up name cards and final decorations EXACTLY how I wanted them, made sure the groomsman were on time, during the rehearsal she made sure everyone knew exact when and how to walk down the aisle, she cleaned up decorations during dancing, she made sure our cake (with cake topper and knife) came out exactly when we wanted it, she was the "runner" for anything we needed (no need to send a mom, or a bridesmaid, or a dad, or a groomsman, we can all stay together!), and she was also the most kind and understanding person the entire weekend. So much of my anxiety and stress lifted just knowing I had her in my corner. I am telling you... book Elizabeth Bliss Events, you will be SO grateful.

day of coordinator. I was able to enjoy the day and didn't have to worry about anything because I knew she was on it. We had a very large wedding party and Lauren took charge during the rehearsal and made sure everything went smoothly.
The month before the wedding we found out our photographer ghosted us, Lauren helped us find a wonderful wedding photographer last minute and saved the day. I plan to give her contact info to everyone I know!! Thanks Lauren! The day wouldn't have gone off without you!

party. She kept everyone on track, she made our dream reception area so perfect, she let our family help, but took over when needed. She solved problems that didn't need mine or my partners input and even when she did have to ask us something, she already had plans of how to best deal with it or solve the problem. We were supposed to get late night pizza delivered and when it wasn't there on time, she called the establishment. Come to find, they had our order but no one to deliver it. Lauren jumped in her car and went to grab it for us to make sure we got the late night snack everyone needed. She stayed until the very end of the evening and helped clean up to make sure we didn't leave anything behind or anything out of order. I'm so grateful for Lauren, our wedding was the talk of our family and I know so much of that is due to Lauren's incredible planning.

ure we were both on the same page and making sure if I needed anything I knew she was there to help. Lauren is well versed in the wedding industry and can help guide you with any questions you have. She never once made me feel I had to do what she was suggesting. Skip to wedding week, without Lauren things would have been a disaster! The venue became extremely hard to work with, and I was at my wits end with them, but Lauren was there to step in and make sure things were done how we wanted them and not how the venue wanted them. We had a slideshow malfunction that Lauren stayed way late to figure out, which again refers back to doing way more then stopping at the name of the job title. I honestly could keep going with compliments, but if you read this far just take my word for it, you will not regret hiring Lauren!
