We are wedding florists (Flowers Valley) and we absolutely love working at Elliston! The staff is incredibly professional and accommodating, ensuring every event runs smoothly. The venue itself is stunning, providing a beautiful backdrop for our floral arrangements. Highly recommend!

We had our wedding at Elliston last week, which was rescheduled from last summer due to pandemic. I want to note that Elliston was extremely accommodating, kind, helpful and sensitive about the entire rescheduling process. I've heard horror stories from other couples with weddings planned through other venues that were not as accommodating, and I'm so grateful that Elliston made everything so easy for us, specifically Kimberley and Donna. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and understanding surrounding the situation, when I'm sure they were also hurting as a business. There was even one night when I had a little mini panic attack about county rules and the wedding and sent Elliston a frantic email at ~9pm on a Tuesday and got a reassuring email back almost 15 minutes later resolving my concern.
Pandemic aside, Elliston was such as beautiful place to get married. It was romantic and picturesque without being over the top cheesy. We chose a lot of vendors that frequently work with Elliston, so day of, everything ran so smoothly. I do feel that this venue is much more reasonably priced compared to other venues we looked at without sacrificing any quality or opportunities. I'd say one of my favorite parts was the bridal suite and the library for the groomsmen to get ready in the mansion. We spent a lot of time in these rooms before the ceremony, and it was so much fun and better than being in some generic conference room-like set up that most other venues have. Our guests also loved the patio area outside the reception where cocktail hour is held.
Also, Elliston offers tons of little events throughout the year like a Valentines day dinner in the mansion, a mothers day brunch on the patio, etc, that give you the opportunity to go back and enjoy your venue with special occasions forever. Overall, I'm so grateful we chose Elliston, and I'd choose it as our venue 100 times over again if I had the chance. We didn't even physically go see any other venues because we were so sold on Elliston, so that should say a lot!

We had our wedding at Elliston in September 2019. The venue is beautiful and there are many good spots to take pictures. Elliston is certainly not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive venue we looked at. One of the highlights was our day-or-coordinator, Kimberley. I had so many questions that came up while I was planning our wedding and Kimberley was always quick to respond. The day of our wedding, she kept everything on schedule and we got several comments from guests about how on top of it she was. Without her, we only would have gotten through half of what was planned for the day. Overall, I would recommend Elliston as a good wedding venue.
Here are some of my overall highlights/lowlights:
Highlights: Beautiful venue, reasonably priced, day-of-coordinator included, staff are helpful/quick to respond to requests, food and beverages are provided onsite so you don't need an outside caterer, they have decor/linens that you can rent through them, they help you put together a detailed timeline, and they make sure all decor items are set up exactly how you want
Lowlights: No amplified music allowed (county rule), no sparklers allowed, you can only take pictures in a few rooms in the mansion unless you pay extra, clean up at end of night was hurried and disorganized (some rental items were returned home with my family, which caused me to incur late fees), deposit was not returned until I asked about it several weeks after the wedding

We chose Elliston because of their excellent location (away from the City, but still reachable from all over the Bay Area), beautiful grounds, very reasonable pricing, especially when considering the level of service and area provided. The location was tucked away in Sunol, but was very accessible via multiple freeways. The property grounds are gorgeous, and we received many compliments on our venue choice! We love the vineyards, koi pond, and especially the mansion. We would definitely host another event at Elliston, and recommend the venue to our friends & coworkers.
Our Day-of Coordinator was Tiffani, and she was wonderful to work with! She was knowledgeable about the venue, and provided many great tips to plan ahead so our day went as smoothly as possible. She was also very responsive to all our questions and many emails! We sent her pics of how we wanted our table decor set up, and all the Elliston staff paid special attention to all the specific details we wanted.
Also wanted to give a special thank you to Donna for opening up the mansion to us a bit early so we could take pictures indoors instead of out in the rain! The rainy weather was a big surprise, but Elliston was a big help in adjusting and keeping our day special and magical.
Finally, the food. Yummy scalloped potatoes! Many of our guests came back for more servings! Also, the salmon was fresh and cooked to perfection. Many of our guests raved about the salmon. Overall, the food tasted much better when compared to when we went to the food tasting. High value for price.

Perfect! Each time we came and visited we fell more in love with it. They are constantly making improvements and making the venue more beautiful. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Kimberley was fantastic, the way she organized and communicated to all the vendors made the actual day so stress free. I can’t believe we got so lucky. Everything was how we talked about it and the preplanning meetings were super helpful. It was such a good time easily the best day of our lives. Thank you so much to Kimberley and the whole Elliston staff!

We got married at Elliston Vineyards on October 7, 2018 (Sunday) after about a year of planning our wedding with the Elliston staff – and wow, every detail was exactly as we had hoped for! The wedding coordinators went above and beyond to ensure that our ceremony and reception were truly memorable for our family and friends (about 90 guests). First, we would like to thank Donna and Madeline for helping us book the venue and coordinate the details during our 6-month and 2-month planning meetings, especially since we are both in the military and were stationed overseas during the entire year that we planned our wedding. Two months out from our wedding date, we were assigned our day-of-coordinator, Kirsten, who was so wonderful to work with and helped us with every last detail – she is extremely detailed, knowledgeable, and responsive, and she facilitated conversations behind the scenes with our other vendors that made everything feel seamless on the day of our wedding. Thank you, Kirsten, for making our special day stress-free for us and our family and friends, and doing it all with a huge smile!
Pre-wedding planning: we found several tools provided by Elliston to be really helpful. The Social Tables seating chart website helped us visualize where we wanted our guests to be seated during our reception and made it really easy to input meal preferences, and to make last-minute changes as needed. Elliston also offers several menu tastings throughout the year, and though we were not able to attend in person because we lived out-of-state, we had two family members go on our behalf, and they loved sampling the hors d’oeuvres and dinner menu options. Elliston also hosted their annual wedding fair where we were able to speak with several preferred vendors that ended up being the perfect fit for what we were looking for and answered our questions based on lots of experience with weddings at Elliston.
The venue: we feel so lucky to have found Elliston Vineyards for our ceremony and reception; it is absolutely a hidden gem with so many different beautiful locations for taking pictures: the historic mansion (we used the bridal suite and library for getting ready); the gazebo where we had our ceremony; the koi pond; the vineyards with a view of the mountains in the background; and the patio area where we hosted our cocktail hour and reception. It felt just the right size for our wedding of 90 guests. Our ceremony was at 5pm, which was about half an hour before the sun crested the mountains and many of our guests brought sunglasses to wear because they were facing the sun, but we took our individual and family portraits right after the ceremony and the lighting came out perfectly for our pictures. The indoor reception room was spacious enough for our 9 tables plus a sweetheart table and made it really easy for our guests to get up and mingle, go to the bar for drinks, and dance after dinner.
All in all, we had a 10/10 experience at Elliston Vineyards and highly recommend it as a wedding venue! We will forever cherish our memories shared with friends and family and the pictures from such a beautiful location. Thank you again to the Elliston staff for making our day absolutely perfect!

Elliston Vineyards is a hidden gem among wedding venues in the bay area. I don't think I could have imagined a more beautiful setting for our wedding. The garden where the ceremony is held is wonderful. Our ceremony was at 5pm in October and the sun sets perfectly behind the hills leaving the entire valley in a glow from the leftover sun. The pictures we took at this venue were breathtaking. Our coordinator, Tiffani was the best. She was so attentive and organized. I didn't have to worry about a thing with her at the helm. The entire team at Elliston is so wonderful you would be in great hands no matter who were placed with. I recommend this venue to anyone looking for a quaint, quiet venue.

The venue is beautiful and classic. We had great photos taken and our guests enjoyed being there as well. The price was very reasonable considering our guest count. My only complaint would be that during the booking process, I was bounced around to different people which made things somewhat confusing. Other than that, would highly recommend this venue.

Hi Hong,
Thank you for the review. Your ceremony was beautiful, and we hope you and Brian...
had a wonderful reception!
Since weddings are typically booked so far in advance, we don't assign day-of coordinators until 2 months before to ensure that they are available for your date. Until then couples work with all of the coordinators in the office. This also allows emails and phone calls to be answered immediately versus having to wait several days if a specific coordinator is out of the office.
We wish you two years of happiness, and hope you visit us again!

Elliston is a gorgeous venue made all the better by its wonderful staff. Kimberley was there for us every step of the way, very responsive and accommodating, and such a pleasure to work with. The food they provide is so delicious! Also, their preferred vendor list never steered us wrong, so we had a great team who knew how to work together. Our guests had a wonderful time and I attribute much of that to the beauty of this venue and the hard work of the staff!

Lets preface with I am a very particular person. I have a vision and I'll do everything I can to make it come true. My vision became a reality at my Elliston Vineyards wedding. They are very accommodating and very responsive ( I emailed at least once a week with questions and they were all answered in an extremely timely manor ). They have a strict sound ordinance which makes you have to have a live ceremony musician. Also, the don't allow outside food & drink. Other then that, the staff was very helpful and really made my vision come to life. The ability to have the ceremony and reception in the same area relieves so much stress of getting guests to multiple places. They offer an open bar of beer & wine and they work with you and make suggestions that make your wedding that much better. The mansion is absolutely beautiful and the food is too good to be true. We are extremely happy with the way our wedding turned out and couldn't have done it without the help of the Elliston staff. I would recommend this venue to everyone and anyone I know.

Elliston Vineyards was an idyllic setting for our rustic elegant wedding.
The wedding and reception were held at this location. The wedding location is gorgeous and the food is delicious.
Elliston provided us with a list of local recommended vendors, which we used, and we could have been happier with our vendor selections for photography, flowers, music and more.
They stayed in touch with us at key times and were always quick to follow up to phone calls and emails.
Danielle our day of event coordinator was excellent and helped make our wedding day awesome.

I found Elliston Vineyards via the Knot.com when searching for venues. My husband and I toured about 6 or so venues - Elliston was #5 and we actually had 7 tours scheduled, but after touring we couldn't get our minds after how quaint and beautiful the property was, so we cancelled our last tour and booked Elliston immediately. In addition to how nice the property is, the staff is great as well. Our package (which was actually on the less expensive side compared to the other venues we checked out) was very stress free and also accommodating. They have an in-house caterer which you're required to use (which we were a little skeptical about at first, but they offer a complimentary menu tasting and that eased our worries instantly. The food is fantastic and there's a wide range of dishes to choose from including pastas, salads, asian, mexican, etc) and beverage packages are quite nice as well. Unfortunately, only beer and wine may be served (no hard alcohol) but their wine and champagne is actually really good and they are generous with their pours. I can't comment on their beer, as my husband and I are not fans in general and we haven't spoken to anyone else about how they liked it. They had a pretty good list of preferred vendors, but what I really liked was that, other than the caterer, they didn't require us to use any of their vendors. The last piece within the package that I'm super happy about was that a day-of coordinator was included with no extra cost.
We didn't meet our day-of coordinator until about a month before our wedding. However, we interacted a lot with the other coordinators who were equally as friendly and helpful. The staff was always very responsive via email and would get back to me within 24 hours always. All of them are very knowledgeable in the industry and easily answered any and/all questions I had instantly.
We went to a total of 2 menu tastings - the first is complimentary which was awesome, the second was a small extra price per person, but definitely worth it. The 2nd tasting, we brought my family along and they too instantly fell in love with the vineyard! One thing that really struck me was as soon as my husband and I walked in, one of the coordinators I'd previously spoken with instantly recognized us by name out of memory! And when we were about to leave, another said "see you again in August!" without even having to look at her papers. Their effort to personalize was incredible.
I must say, the day of could not have gone more smoothly. While it did help that all of my vendors were on time and cooperative, Danielle had everything on lock. She was the perfect amount of involved without feeling overbearing or stressing me out. She took charge when needed and made decisions that I'm really happy about (ie we had extra flowers and center piece bottles so she asked me if she could use those to add extra color/decoration to other parts of the terrace room and patio. Originally it wasn't my vision but I said it was no problem, and the result was so beautiful!). Because of Danielle I felt absolutely no stress at all. If any of the staff from Elliston is reading this, from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for making our day run so perfectly.
Truly, I'm impressed with this venue - both the beauty of it as well as the staff employed. Thanks Elliston for making our day so memorable!

My husband and I could not have chosen a better venue for our wedding. I really feel like this place is a hidden gem! Tucked away in the California hills, it is a private and beautiful location with an elegant and rustic feel. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout the whole planning process - they were quick to respond to my emails and Madeline, our day-of coordinator, took care of everything on our wedding day. The ceremony and reception went so smoothly thanks to her help! I've had multiple guests come up to me since the wedding to tell me how beautiful the venue was. I would highly recommend Elliston!

This place is beautiful! It has a wonderful outdoor location for a garden setting wedding next to a historical mansion as a backdrop and they have a nice building for the reception that has a patio/deck for cocktail hour and those wanting to escape from dancing.
From the moment you first meet with them, up to the last minute of the wedding, they are nice and very helpful (they answered all my emails very quickly), and they are very personal, remembering every couple by name anytime you drop by. They provide you with a day of coordinator that is included in your package which helps so much!
The food is great! They have a lot of different options, especially for vegetarians as well, and have a lot of flavor.
Perhaps the best part is all of this comes at a great value. Weddings are expensive, especially the venue and food, but they have very reasonable packages for all budgets and don't try and upsell you too much. Don't think that because the price is so low, that there is something lacking in the quality like I found with other venues.
Oh and the location is nice and centrally located for people all over the bay area!

We fell in love with the location of Elliston, you feel like your in the middle of the forest, but only about 5 minutes off the freeway. The ceremony site is absolutely breath taking, the food was wonderful, the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The reception area looks a little beat up, needs new paint & doors, but at night with all our decorations it was magical and did not notice.
We loved it here and would recommend this location!!

Very quaint and charming. Was different from a lot of the other places that we had seen. We really liked the historical feel of this location. Our guests were delighted with as well. Staff was friendly and accomdating. My only complaint would be they were slow to respond to email sometimes.

The location is absolutely beautiful and elegant. The historic mansion on the property makes it truely unique and the reception hall is also beautiful, brings in the outside natural beauty, and is not a cookie cutter kind of hall. Everything ran so smoothly, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I had guests tell me they would recommend this location to others. We totalled just under 100 guests, which was perfect for the hall. Would not work as well for larger weddings.

Elliston is a beautiful vineyard with a mansion in the quaint town of Sunol. They offer ceremony-only for an affordable fee (although if this option is selected, there is a risk of not getting your preferred wedding date.) This fee includes rehearsal at their location and ceremony wedding planning. Unfortunately amplified music is not allowed, and there is a limited amount of time for set-up, but the scenery and bridal suite make it all worth the while.

The hall was decorated beautifully. The new restrooms were a nice touch. There was indoor and outdoor seating for guests. I loved that there was plenty of room to move around in the hall as well as at the outdoor area.;If you have a large party (we had 200 guests), request extra help so that people don't have to wait a long time for the food.

The Staff was wonderful. My wedding Coordinator seemed to keep everything rolling as scheduled. The outside deck features a gazeebo and seating for those who smoked and inside was tasetfully decorated. The staff was wonderful, kind and prompt.;The Terrace Room fit all 100 of my guests, but I wouldn't try to squeeze anymore into it. It seemed to be the perfect size. We got married at the end of July, so it was HOT. the AC seemed to have a hard time cooling the room down.
