I work with so many wedding planners, event planners in my life and never have I experienced such low class professionalism and negligence.
My company hired Eliana in February to do an event that we had booked April 27th. From the beginning my staff had a hard time getting in contact with her but she always had an excuse and since she came so highly recommended, had done Porsha's wedding and the Brat baby shower, we figured that she would come through and do an amazing job for our event. So we gave her another chance after she promised that she would do better at communication, updating our event flow document and getting things planned in a timely manner.
Not only did Eliana not plan my event, my staff was left to do the major things such as printing, searching for limo companies, booking an AV company and many other major tasks that are and where her responsibility.
A week out before the event she contacts my marketing manager and unprofessionally yells at her that she was sent the wrong files. However my marketing manager sent her the files almost a month prior and had Eliana check them, she would have been able to determine early on what corrections needed to be made. In addition, the correct file had been sent to her, however she was trying to use others as an escape goat for her in action and inactivity at plan our event properly. She also used this negative unprofessional exchange as an excuse to notify us that she was not planning on attending the event to do her job 5 days before the event.
My staff spent countless hours emailing, calling, texting to get simple detailed answers about the status of her planning only for their attempts to be ignored. It was so bad that we had to start planning the event ourselves and taking care of booking things ourselves because we were literally in the dark about where everything stood and what exactly was booked. When we finally did get her on the phone during one of our planning meetings, I simply wanted to understand how did we get to the point where we didn't even have the floor plan completed three days before the event. How are we at the point where my team was doing the majority of the work and she was not even clear about the desired look and feel and set up of the event. Instead of being professional, reassuring us and taking accountability. She exploded and got super defensive, argumentative and stated that she would not be chastised in front of the team.
In an effort to maintain some sort of peace since it was clear that she was using her participation as a manipulation tactic to maintain control, we backed off and moved forward with having the conversation about planning details and she continued to make more promises about what she would do and what she would have done I'm time and what would be handled by the following day.
Instead of making her negligence correct, she instead backs out of all participation in the event 2 days prior. She states that her reasoning is because she does not like being micromanaged or embarrassed in front of the team and for that she decided that she was no longer going to participate at all in the planning or preparation of the event. Saying that working with her was a nightmare is an understatement.
Elly B... simply put, she made our wedding day everything we hoped and prayed for! We had been planning our wedding for a year, with a local Savannah planner. A month before our wedding day, we did not have full confidence that planner could bring our vision to life. We engaged Elly B and her team 2 weeks prior to our wedding, July 1, and they made our reception a DREAM reception! Not only did she take over the responsibilities of the other planner, she gave input, instruction and guided us through those last 2 weeks giving us total reassurance that our day would be everything we wanted it to be. She is the consummate professional, and she is truly gifted in her craft. I would refer her over and over again. Thank you Elly for sweeping in and saving our day... I trusted you completely and you delivered!
This team is amazing, honest, and will ensure your vision is created! I got married on 10/15/2016 and Eliana was my wedding planner. From day one, when we talked about my expectations, she was honest about what kind of services I would need and helped me pick the right package. Since then, communication was always open! We had a wedding website with a checklist of things to work on and she would always double check to make sure we were doing things in a timely manner. Of course, I would procrastinate but she worked well around that, lol. She was always available via text or phone call and SO helpful. Bree, her assistant, was also a pleasure to work with! Love that girl! She always answered my late night texts. The wedding day went off without a hitch! We had a timeline and all the vendors each had a copy that they followed. It was nothing short of AMAZING! I trusted them completely! They never steered me wrong and all their vendor recommendations were perfect! I could not be happier with their services. We were married 10/01/16, exactly one week ago today and had the most AMAZING wedding EVER ! We live in Brooklyn, NY and decided to get married in the ATL due to me originally being from Chattanooga, TN and the similarities of a big city that our NY guests would find comforting. Finding vendors during our wedding planning seemed daunting at first especially living in a different city. I was a very detailed oriented bride who was extremely specific in my research of wedding vendors and know without a doubt I chose the absolute best when I booked ellyB Events Inc. for wedding planning assistance! After making initial contact with the owner, Eliana, she suggested the appropriate planning package for our wedding since I had already completed most of the intimate details. Khadine Springer was my Day of Coordinator, and was beyond, beyond, BEYOND AMAZING!! In the months prior to our wedding, Khadine was an immediate text, call, or email away! Any questions, (I had a LOT of questions!) she answered immediately, reassured me completely and made sure that I was comfortable with any decisions or changes to be made that she suggested! The production timeline she created was AWESOME and I was beyond comfortable releasing complete control to her, referring to her as "The Boss", lol! On the day of, all of our vendors stuck to her timeline which in turn kept the wedding party running very much on time, which meant a very happy bride!! Khadine and her assistant were completely on point, calmed me when excitement, nervousness overwhelmed my emotions a few times and would have been a disaster after my make was done! I was down the aisle just 15 minutes behind schedule which we were EXTREMELY OK with because we know how difficult it can be to start a wedding on time! EVERYTHING flowed smoothly beginning to ending!! Everyone gave compliments on what an AMAZING wedding we had and what a GREAT time they had! THANK YOU Khadine & ellyB Events for a MEMORABLE wedding!!
Perfect! Everything was Perfect! Although people say there isn't a perfect wedding day. My wedding day was absolutely "Perfect"! Everything was Gorgeous, more than we imagined.
This vendor is definitely one where looks can be deceiving. She had a venue she rented out called The B Loft. We paid the balance in full to her for an event to be held at the location. We left her several voicemails, and sent numerous emails to her leading up to the event and never heard back. We had heard from a vendor that she was moving her location and we were shocked because we had a contract there and $ paid for that venue. I finally heard from her after sending her a DM on Instagram. She told us that the venue was moving and that we would have details of where within a week. The event was less than a month away and we never heard from her after that. She never apologized for the inconvenience and never thought to even mention to us that our party would be effected by her move. Invitations were already ordered and custom made. She never sent the details put on where the new location would be and NEVER offered a refund. We were stuck w/o a venue until a friend stepped in and gave us a venue after hearing about our experience. I was shocked because she seems to have such a great business on paper and online, but after doing some deeper research and having my own experience with her, I found that this was not the case at all. I posted a review on her Facebook page and she had it deleted because she didn't want people to know the truth about her business ethics and lack of acumen. There is a true lack of professionalism when it comes to working with her and I wouldn't advise anyone to do so. We later found out from a friend that her wedding reception was to be held there and she didn't find out until two weeks before her wedding that her contract had to be cancelled and she wouldn't be able to have it there. Again, no apologies and a lack of professionalism on her end. I would recommend looking at other planners before going with this vendor for any service.
This is a TRUE review and I was an actual client of Eliana. I strongly advise that you do your research and ask around before investing time and energy in this event planner. Eliana has great ideas but is poor with execution. Additionally, she was condescending, a poor communicator, non-responsive, and late on numerous deadlines. She would often show up to meetings LATE, looking unkempt and unprofessional. She was NOT meticulous with details and did not take accountability for her mistakes. Mistakes such as sending out the wrong schedule to vendors a few days before the wedding, having the bride (me) organize the vendor walk thru the week of my wedding (that's truly an event planners job), putting the unity candles in the hot sun hours before the ceremony leaving us with a melted mess during the ceremony, sending the flower girl down the aisle with an empty flower basket, as well as having a horrible attitude towards the vendors and wedding guests. And that's just to name a few! Guests and vendors were complaining about her before AND AFTER the wedding. I ended up in a sobbing mess the day before my wedding because so many things were mishandled by her that we had to correct. What's worse is that she was completely unapologetic! I found out about her poor reputation AFTER the wedding when it was too late.
Don't make your decision based on a pretty website and cool instagram pics like I did. The wedding community/vendors in Atlanta all know each other - so PLEASE ask around before making that deposit.
I absolutely LOVE Elly!!!! I don't know what I would have done without her. She is the best. She took care of all my wedding needs. All I did was gave her my vision and my budget, and she was able to execute.
I could not have chosen a better wedding planner. We worked together on different coasts but made it happen and my big day was FABULOUS!
This wonderful team took care of my save the dates, invitations, dinner menus, table place cards, decorations, flowers and even the lighting. My invitations were THE BOMB. I still look at them from time to time just to smile. I am telling you this was the best experience ever. Everything that you need, all in one place.
Elly has a great team. They worked on several weddings. They helped my find the perfect vendors and made sure that my day went off without any problems. AND THERE WERE NO PROBLEMS ON MY WEDDING DAY!
These ladies saved my life when it came to planning our wedding. They were easy to work with, organized (they do tons of weddings) and really allowed me to be the Hands-Off Bride I desired. I truly thank them for all their hard work!
Every bride needs an Eliana Baucicault. But don’t get a fake, just go with the original because she is AMAZING! In the beginning I thought I didn’t need a planner but looking back, I don’t think I would have been able to have such a perfect wedding without her. Leading up to the wedding, Eliana helped me select a team of incredible vendors. I was able to save money by using vendors that she knows and has special discounts with. Closer to the day of the wedding, she was my sanity enforcer. When I was freaking out worried about details of the wedding, I’d call her up and the answer was always, “It’s done already.” She was on top of everything. She put together the most comprehensive wedding day “project plan” which consisted of contact information, small details for everyone to remember, and schedule. It was so helpful for everyone in the wedding party and the vendors involved because everyone knew exactly what they needed to do, where they needed to do it, and what time it needed to be done by. She also has incredible taste. She helped me put together a gorgeous floor, table, and flower design.
She was such a lifesaver on the day of the wedding. When the food from the caterers wasn’t coming out fast enough, she jumped in the kitchen and helped finish the plating! I’m pretty sure that’s not in her job description but she definitely goes the extra mile. I didn’t have to worry about a thing and was able to fully enjoy my wedding. Every detail was thought of and well executed. I couldn’t have done it without her help.
In addition to just being awesome at her job, she’s also a wonderful person all around. She’s so fun and personable that whenever I needed to call or text her about something, it felt more like I was talking to a friend rather than a vendor. We had such a wonderful experience with Eliana and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding planner. Don’t go at it alone! Go with Eliana because she’s the absolute best!
I can't say enough about this company. They planned our wedding from beginning to end and I couldn't imagine going through such time consuming process without Eliana. She knew all the the right vendors to bring my dream for my big day into reality. I'm not always easy to work with (not a diva or anything) just a bit of a perfectionist at times or too laid back at other times. But, El took it all in stride and was always super accomadating regardless of which way the wind was blowing me that day. I elected to have my wedding ceremony at a well known park in Atlanta. With Eliana, and one her preferred florist, the park area was completely transformed. It was gorgeous but not too over the top. The reception was faboulous! I explained to Eliana that I did not want a wedding people were staring at watch hands to end. I wanted a party, and that's what I got! I have never had so much fun in all my life and looking back at my photos our wedding was the most fun some folks have had in a long time. Our wedding was at the beginning of the summer and people are STILL talking about it at every function. I had several folks to travel from the northeast, midwest and Florida and most have said our wedding was HANDS DOWN one of the best weddings they've been to. You will not go wrong with selecting EllyB events as your event planning service.
I had the pleasure of working with EllyB events for my September wedding. I found that Eliana was exceptionally professional and kind. She was even thoughtful enough to let us borrow some of her own personal decor, which we used at the wedding! She is very knowledgeable about weddings, time lines, vendors, etc.
As this is mostly a one-shot deal for most of us brides, I would not risk it by trying to 100 percent do your own wedding. Having EllyB there allowed me to relax and actually enjoy my day rather than trying to manage every little detail.
I highly recommend using EllyB for your wedding. As shared, it's a one-shot deal, and now as a married woman *-), I can tell you that I don't regret one thing about working with EllyB. 2 Thumbs Way UP!!!
I could not have asked for a better wedding planner! Eliana went above and beyond for me and I honestly could not have pulled my wedding off without her. She knew what I liked and didn't like and I totally trusted her to make decisions for me. I highly recommend her :-)
I LOVE ELLY! She is amazing and from the first phone call with her, I was hooked. She has a no bs attitude which I love. Instead of yes'ing me to every idea I had, she put it in a realistic view and told me what was feasible. I definitely did not want to work with someone who would just say yes to everything I thought was a good idea if it wasnt really going to work. She was also a plethora of great ideas. She was truly a huge reason why our wedding was so successful. She calmed me down and made sure everything went smoothly. Her assistant was also amazing and they are with you all day. I hired her for day of coordination but she was so much more. She helped me all the weird random questions that I had and guided me the whole way through. She was truly a friend and we enjoyed working with her so much! Her personality also lights up a room and she has so much energy that its contagious. She is also great with coordinating with your other vendors and is big on communication. She gives you a great detailed itinerary of your day down to the minute! She is organized and knows every vendor in Atlanta so you can rest easy that she has probably worked with your other vendors before. She is so positive and hysterical all at the same time. The best is that she truly cares about you as a couple and wants to make sure your event is exactly what you pictured. I didnt just hire a vendor but definitely made a friend too. Elly will make your day magical and a day to remember.
