Em and E Events

Emily and Sophie are truly the most incredible people! Planning a wedding during COVID was not easy, but these two kept me calm and sane. I changed venues three times and every single time they were there ready to help me figure everything out! They made sure the day ran smoothly and honestly I had no worries in the world because I knew they would figure anything out that was needed! I couldn't have had such a perfect wedding if it wasn't for them!!

I hired Emily just about 1.5 months out for our “intimate affair” wedding ceremony and reception. We postponed our original plans and were not sure we could make something smaller happen on our original date, but Emily was so helpful and confident we could make it work (even through all of my panicked calls)! She was so helpful leading up to the day by coming on our venue tour and contacting vendors, but the real magic was her design! She put all of our florals together for my BEAUTIFUL bouquet, our arch, a flower backdrop and all of the table florals and they looked better than I would have expected an experienced florist to do! She designed a beautiful table layout and was so creative with our backyard space! And she was beyond helpful throughout the entire day - my veil flew off mid-ceremony into the sky and she arrived with a new veil in case I wanted one! All night she made sure we had what we needed and that things ran smoothly! It was truly the best day thanks to her!

I started working with Emily in 2018 for a small family Christmas party in December of that year. I knew Em for a little while as we both attended Duquesne University. My now fiance and I love to support small businesses as well as entertaining. Emily and her team were a perfect fit. Fast forward to 2021 and Emily is planning our wedding. She truly is a gem to work with. Somehow Emily captures all of my outrageous ideas and brings them to life. I trust every design aspect and detail she suggests. Over the past couple of years Emily has been in charge of planning all of our events. Friends and family RAVE about every single detail of the events. There is never a negative critique. Emily captures luxury and love in the most perfect way possible. She is down to earth and knows how to stick to a budget. She is also one of the best negotiators and truly gets the best deals and arrangements for her clients. Em and E Events always put forth the clients best interests and intent. One of my favorite things about Emily when she is planning our events is that she is honest. Sometimes we have a large budget and others smaller scale. She hits the nail on the head every single time. She always presents options within our range and does show us what more or less could be. Emily's creative design is unmatched. At this point I just email the team, tell them about my event I'm planning on having and they go to work. The team truly sits down and studies the client to outdo their expectations every time. I never worry or stress that it won't be absolutely perfect because that is what Em and E Events presents over and over again.

I contacted with Em & E for day of services. Sophie was absolutely amazing! She was so on top of thing for the three months we worked together. During the week of the wedding she was extra attentive and made sure nothing fell threw the cracks. On the day of the wedding, everything flew seamlessly. Sophie and Carly made my day stress-free and beautiful!

I cannot speak high enough about Em & E Events! We were toying around with whether or not we needed a day-of coordinator, but it was honestly the best decision we had made during the wedding planning process. They pointed out details about the day that we had not thought of before so that we could fine-tune the entire event. The fact that they handle vendor communications the few days prior to your wedding is EVERYTHING. We had a mini-catastrophe the day before the wedding, and they handled contacting all vendors with changes to the wedding day schedule. Not to mention, they made all meetings upbeat and fun. I would recommend them over and over again - it is worth the cost!

I don't know what I would have done without Emily and her team! From the moment we met Emily, she was able to guide us through all the stress and details of planning our wedding. She was there for everything we needed. Which made our wedding day that much more enjoyable! We knew there was nothing to worry about, because she had it all taken care of for us! We couldn't thank Em & E Events enough!

Em and E Events was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding day! We hired Emily and Sophie as Day of Coordinators but we got so much more! They met with us multiple times leading up to the wedding to ensure all basis were covered so our day was perfect. No matter the “crisis” we threw at the team, Emily and Sophie had it handled instantly. Sophie was our representative for our wedding day and we can’t thank her enough for all she handled. When we had to make last minute adjustments to our wedding day schedule due to events beyond our control, Sophie kept her cool, told us to relax, and made it all happen. My wife and I truly did not have to worry about a single detail on our wedding day and were able to fully immerse ourselves and have fun! My only regret... not hiring Em and E Events as a full blow wedding planner!! If you’re even considering a planner or day of coordinator, look no further, Em and E Events is the best in the area!

Emily planned our wedding beginning to end and it was absolutely amazing. My husband and I work very hectic jobs and if it wasn’t for Emily I don’t know how we would’ve successfully pulled off our wedding. Being from out of town and not in the Pittsburgh Area all the time made it very difficult for us to attend planning meetings and meet vendors. Emily referred all our amazing vendors to us after learning about our style and what we truly loved and wanted. She attended meetings we weren’t able to and scheduled planning calls with us all the time. She was super organized and had the absolute best design recommendations. Her staff the day of the wedding was out of the world. Each girl was so kind and willing to do whatever we asked of them. Hire Em and e events and you won’t be sorry!

My husband and I were so lucky to have Emily and her team do full scale coordination for our 9/21/19 wedding! Emily handled every single step of our wedding planning process with enthusiasm and professionalism. She quickly answered all of our questions, handled communication with our vendors, and showed grace in dealing with me during my bridezilla moments. Both my husband and I agree that we couldn't have imagined our wedding day without Em and E. Having a planner gave us peace of mind and put us at ease. I do not know what I would have done without Emily and her team. She worked with me from the start - finding vendors with my budget and structuring timelines while I lived out of state - to executing my decor vision and dealing with weather-related chaos during wedding day. Em really shines through her collaboration with local vendors to design a beautiful, personalized event. I chose a color palate and event tone and entrusted the details to her. The end result took my breath away. I'll be cheering for her continued success!

Where do I even start? Booking Emily was the absolute best decision I made when I began wedding planning. Emily went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. She worked very hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly. I gave her team the freedom to take my decor and decorate it as they saw fit. When I first saw the ceremony space, my jaw dropped at how absolutely beautiful they made it look. Emily took care of all the day of details I wouldn’t even think of. During our meetings prior to the wedding, Emily listened to my ideas and made my vision come to life. Professional, detail oriented, and creative are a few words I would use to describe Emily. For future brides- hiring a coordinator takes so much stress and anxiety away on the day of! Booking Emily and her team for your wedding will be the best decision you make. I am so grateful for all Emily did for us as our day of coordinator. I booked her a year before my wedding fully confident that she could bring my ideas to life. While I didn’t have any trouble creating my vision or working through the process, I knew I needed someone to execute my plan the day of. She was a huge asset to me throughout the year too as she helped answer my questions (like should my save the dates, menu cards, and wedding invitations match) and even scoured the web to find a cake stand exactly like I was looking for. She spent 10+ hours the day of my wedding bringing it all to life. She also met with me 4 times during the planning process which could be used at my discretion. We met 6 months out to talk about my vision, timeline planning meeting, decor overview meeting, and a final walkthrough at the venue. She even came to my house two days before to grab my 18 boxes of decor that then had to be transported to the venue the day of. She and her assistant did a beautiful job and helped keep the day running on schedule. Her bubbly personality and encouragement made this such a fun experience. Thanks again Emily!

Emily is a dream. She's personable, has an eye for every aspect of your special day, and envisions details that go above and beyond what you could ever expect. She's relatable, her communication skills are superb, and she's never afraid to take on a challenge. She remains calm and is there to serve to make your special day unique, beautiful, and YOURS. Every bride wants their wedding day to be perfect with no hiccups. Its something hard to pull off. There are so many things that can happen on your special day that can't be controlled. Which is why I knew I wanted someone to take some of that off of my shoulders so that I could enjoy my day. Em+ E events did just that. Emily was professional, organized, knowledgeable, but the most important thing to me is that she cared. I could tell that she truly was happy and excited for me. The day of my wedding it didn't feel like I had a stranger there, she was someone who I knew I could trust with my important day and someone who felt like a friend. When we first got engaged we weren’t sure if we really needed a wedding coordinator, but after talking to Emily we knew she was exactly what we did need. Emily made the whole process smooth and helped with every aspect of our day. She made our venue look the best I’ve ever seen it and took care of some major hiccups throughout the wedding. Having Em + E Events as our wedding planner was the best decision we made during the entire wedding process! From day one, Emily immediately poured her heart and soul into our wedding. If it wasn't for Emily, I don't know what I would have done throughout the wedding planning process. She was sincerely just absolutely amazing and even though we didn't know each other prior to my (now) husband and I'd engagement, I truly felt like I had a friend by my side the entire time. Emily was there to respond to my (admittedly, sometimes crazy) emails and phone calls, and always provided a positive and enthusiastic response to whatever crisis or uncertainty may have risen. We truly could not have asked for a better experience with Em & E Events. I am in my residency and was planning my wedding with limited free time while also out of the state. There is absolutely no way I could have planned my wedding without Emily. I found her early on in our planning process & from the beginning she was attentive and supportive. She worked with my crazy work schedule (answering emails in the middle of the night while I was working night shift) and coordinated planning activities for when I was able to be in town. Ben and I knew the vibe we wanted for our wedding but had difficulty putting it into words, but she easily curated the wedding of our dreams - and did it on our budget! What can I say about Emily at Em + E Events that hasn't already been said?! She is so creative and detail-oriented which we really needed because our venue was a total blank slate. Emily made sure that every aspect of our wedding was covered. At a minimum, my fiance and I knew we NEEDED a day-of coordinator. It's important to remember that your venue coordinator is just that - the coordinator for the venue. Emily has worked with us and ALL of our vendors to make sure that the entire day is seamless. What is so much more is that she has a ton of creative and fun ideas that will really make our day stand out. She has been very helpful with budgeting, as well as finding vendors that are well within our budget. I would recommend Em + E a thousand times over (and I already have!).

Oh my goodness, I don't know where to start when it comes to Emily and her team. From the very beginning Emily recommended vendors, answered any questions we had, and constantly answered my middle of the night melt down texts. She is such an organized, punctual, down to earth chick that helped with every aspect of my day. She would do absolutely anything to make your day magical and does it with a smile on her face. she also didn't make me feel like my wedding was too big or too small to have a planner. at first I thought there was no need for a planner and only massive weddings have one, but Emily made the stresses of wedding planning so enjoyable. I am so happy we booked Em + E events and when any of my friends get engaged I tell them to contact Emily. I couldn't imagine this experience without her and would recommend her to anyone getting married!! even if you're just considering a planner, hit Emily up ASAP!!

Emily and Em + E Events was the best decision my wife and I made for our big day. From day one, Emily was extremely professional, caring, kind, considerate, knowledgeable, helpful, and affordable (Her full-planning package was extremely reasonable). Our first meeting, I remember letting her know that we had 2 venues in mind. One being completely DIY (which we would need her for), and the other would be completely handled by the venue's staff. She was extremely professional in her response and thanked us for our time, hoped we would let her plan our day, and said she hoped to hear from us soon. If I recall, she also sent a follow up email that week just nicely checking in and asking if planning was going well and to let her know if she could be of any assistance. My wife and I took the weekend to discuss what we wanted in our day and decided that the difference between the venue in question and the DIY space was Emily herself. She did mention in her first meeting, Em + E Events was relatively new to the scene but she came off as such a seasoned professional, looking back we couldn't see our day without her. With an invite list of nearly 300, this wasn't a small feat. Emily took it in stride every step of the way. She was so good at what she does, she got the groom (myself) to be extremely excited about the planning process! She coordinated with our choices of vendors so well and every time we spoke to the vendors personally, they would always mention how great it is to work with Emily. She was able to stay in our budget and also tell us when we were going a little too above and beyond price wise. The wedding day was perfection. No detail went unnoticed with Emily and her staff...We are a few months past our wedding day at this point and we still get texts and calls saying our guests have never seen something so beautiful and amazing as our wedding day. We wanted a trendy yet classy/traditional theme and Emily hit it out of the park. I couldn't recommend her enough. Thanks again Emily!!

From the first day we met Emily of Em + E Events, we knew she would be a perfect fit for our day. The venue we selected was a DIY venue so we immediately hired Emily for her full-planning package (which was extremely reasonable compared to other local planners). Throughout the course of planning, Emily's professionalism was astounding. Her availability didn't go unnoticed and she always made it a point to check-in (whether it be for planning or just to say hello and wish us well) and she would know when to schedule planning meetings as needed. She adapted to our ever changing needs and requests but also wasn't afraid to tell us if our ideas weren't the best fit for our overall theme--conversely, she responded well to our criticisms of ideas and adjusted accordingly. Her knowledge of the Pittsburgh wedding market is ever growing and she saved us financially countless time--(every penny counts)! The vendors she recommended were all professional and amazing. Financially, Emily has a nice system set up for payments as well that did not seem pushy or pestering. I believe one check of ours got lost in the mail and she kindly sent a text just to check the status and we sent another immediately. The day of our wedding went off without a hitch--she brings in a small team of her own to assist with the day of needs (again, financially reasonable). All the planning came together so smoothly. She had to make some behind the scene calls we were unaware of during the day and her intuition/knowledge proved invaluable for those decisions. Lastly, she stayed within our budget. The only times we went over budget is when we wanted something she said would put us over haha! If we ever plan another event of any kind, we'll be sure to reach out to Emily. We felt strongly about planning all of the details ourselves but needed the piece of mind on our wedding day that everything would come together and that no one would bother us with problems or issues. Emily met with us several times prior to ensure that she understood our vision and that we were not missing any key details. She helped us create a day-of timeline so that everything was seamless. She and her team executed our wedding perfectly and we were able to enjoy every second with our guests. Emily was known and well-respected amongst our other vendors and already had a positive working relationship with them. I don't even know how to begin talking about how awesome Emily is. Emily worked as our day-of coordinator for our wedding a few weeks ago. We weren't sure we needed a coordinator but decided to find someone just for reassurance. From day one, Emily was just that: reassuring. Emily and her assistants made our day easy and worry-free. If something went wrong, I didn't notice, and I give all that credit to Em. She's got great style, great energy and is super reasonable. Highly HIGHLY recommend this cool chick :)
