We had our wedding here in May of 2017 and loved it! Katie was great to work with. We definitely would recommend holding your reception here.

We had a beautiful wedding at embassy suites! Katie was very thorough and answered any questions we had from very minor to any larger issue we may have had. We loved the food it was very good! The most important things to us were quality and good food plus linens and center pieces. They set everything is exactly the way we wanted. The day was perfect everything went exactly as planned! I definitely recommend embassy suites it really is a great value for what you receive. Katie can also work you you on any budget you may have. This venue is really the best and I think not many people know about it.

The planning, attention to detail and service were exceptional! We had just over 300 people at my daughter's wedding and received compliments on the food, courtesy of the Embassy Suites servers and overall reception experience. Personally, my meal was five start restaurant quality - served at the right temperature and promptly. The white glove service was truly that - with all of our guests being served close to the same time! Kate Butler and her entire team were exceptional. Kate's series of planning meetings and final detailed planning meeting a few days before the wedding really helped to give us the assurance that everything was coming together. It was also great to get a list of vendors from Kate to help pull in DJs, photographer, florist, bakery etc. Thank you once again to Kate and her entire team at the Embassy Suites! We truly appreciate your hard work in helping us make wonderful memories!

My husband and I were completely overwhelmed by the service we were provided at the Embassy. Every employee went above and beyond to make or special day absolute perfection. We worked with Katie and could not say enough great things about her. She was always available to answer questions, kept us on a comfortable timeline, and provided us the dream wedding that included every detail of our vision.

Katie is just what every bride needs - even those rare brides (like myself) who don't really want to plan a wedding or care about the small stuff. She knows wedding like the back of her hand. She had our planned down to the minute and kept me informed every step of the way. The venue is absolutely beautiful and Katie knows all the best ways to set things up and accommodate weddings of all shapes, sizes, and cultures. She knows sooooo many vendors in the area and always has suggestions/recommendations and connections with most of them! Katie even made many many adjustments and accommodations just so we could have our wedding on the date that we not only wanted but needed. Don't pass her or Embassy up if you are looking for a smooth wedding process!!

Great staff, location, and excellent food. This was the 2nd wedding in the family at this location. Both times the staff and service exceeded expectations. Since the 2014 wedding many updates to this hotel, ballroom and menu have been made (all of which were pleasant surprises). This venue provides a variety of selections for both the decor, menu options, and set up. It is centrally located and out of town guests enjoyed the shuttle, breakfast, and other services. There is free parking, manager's reception, and a complimentary hot breakfast included.

Our experience at Embassy was fantastic from the beginning to the end. Katie, the wedding coordinator, was a huge help throughout the process, very professional. Our journey from the first meeting with Katie was pleasant, professional and efficient. The end result was more than we could have asked for !!!

Katie and her team were fantastic!! I was a "do it yourself bride" and Katie handled that very well!! She understood my thoughts and ideas and helped me through some harder decisions! She allowed me to be me as a bride and as a woman without ever over stepping! She truly wants to get to know you to help your day go as perfect as possible!! Her team is friendly, respectable, and just over all wonderful! They helped make our night amazing!!

We could not be happier with our selection of the Embassy Suites- Cleveland Rockside. Where should I start? First, we chose the Embassy because of the location and the Knot reviews of Katie Butler. Katie and the rest of the gang certainly lived up to all of their 5 star reviews! As far as planning goes, we had about a 16 month engagement, so we didn't have much to do for awhile, but Katie would call or email periodically just to see how we were- she genuinely cares about us as people outside of being customers. When it came time for our food tasting, Katie had told us what a special occasion it would be for us and our parents, and yet again, the whole team delivered. I am a salmon connoisseur, and the vanilla bean salmon was to die for. I selected that, and my husband selected the filet. All of our communication leading up to the wedding was timely, professional, relaxed, you name it- every bride's dream. Katie treated us like long-time best friends. The week of the wedding came along, and this time, I got to meet some of the wait staff- again-nothing but the most professional individuals. On the day before the wedding, I arrived with my bridesmaids to start the wedding day festivities. The entire hotel staff took such wonderful care of us- NOTHING less than 5 star treatment. The actual reception itself went EXACTLY as planned. My husband and both sets of our parents were over-the-moon elated with everything! I wondered how the kitchen was going to pull off 300 perfectly prepared salmon and filet meals.... and they did! It was beyond perfect! When I looked around the room,everyone had cleared their plates. The portions of food were large, especially for a fancy ballroom type setting. All of our guests raved about our food. The bar service was spectacular- quick, efficient, and healthy pours for all guests. Our wedding was over at midnight, and no one wanted to leave- everyone had a ball! If you are looking for a wedding planner who will treat you like gold, amazing food, spectacular cocktails, decently priced rooms for guests, free parking, and convenient location in Cleveland, do NOT look any further- this is the real deal!

The venue and the staff made our event one of the most enjoyable day's we couild have asked for. Katie and her staff made us feel like we were in our own home. I can honestly say that from the first day we met we became friends and both my wife and I were very comfortable working with her team. Katie and Andre were very helpful on the day of the wedding and took full control of the day. I wish I could share all of the compliments we received from our guests and family. On Sunday morning the breakfast team also went out of the way to make sure we were treated as special guests. I would recommend the Embassy Suites to any family thinking of having a wedding.

I can not say enough good things about Embassy Suites and Katie! The location was perfect and Katie was absolutely amazing! She was on top of EVERYTHING and kept us all organized and had a timelines printed out for us after day one of meeting. The food was spectacular, we had multiple people say how good the food was! I would trust Katie with everything and anything you had to plan for your wedding, she contacted all the vendors for the day of and kept it all together for us! Katie and the entire Embassy staff did such an amazing job with the set up, serving and the overall hospitality they showed all of our guests! If I had to do it over I would choose Embassy and meeting Katie all over again! Thank you!!

Our experience with this venue was amazing. Katie Butler was so wonderful to work with, and made the whole process so comfortable and easy. It is a great, centrally located facility with great ambiance and suites for guests. We got married in May, and still have family and friends raving about what a great wedding we had at a beautiful location.

Our son's wedding was held at Embassy Suites in Independence and the food and venue were exceptional. We first met Katie Butler after we had looked at another hotel in the area and was treated poorly. From the moment we walked in and Katie introduced herself, we knew the Embassy was the place. We walked in disappointed by the way the other hotel treated us and our experience with Katie was the total opposite. She actually made us feel like we were family and always handled any concerns we had thru the whole process. The day of the wedding we were taken into the hall before all the guests and it felt like we walked into a beautiful new world; just amazing. All the staff there are top-notch and look like they really enjoy working there. All of our guests texted us the next day and thanked us for inviting them and said what a beautiful reception they were lucky to be apart of. A lot of them stayed the night and enjoyed the full breakfast and special area set up for us by the staff. After getting home we realized we forgot to pickup the cake top and bring it home with us. I called Katie and of course she was right there with the cake top when I showed up. I can't compliment her enough, she is truly wonderful. I hope to be invited to another wedding there someday, it was just amazing.

I would recommend Katie and the Embassy Suites in Independence to anyone. We looked at a good amount of venues, but ended up looking at Embassy Suites to check "hotel" off our venue possibility list. From our first interaction with Katie we feel in love with the Embassy Suites. She truly made the experience first class. The food was wonderful, the service was great, and the help and level of detail from working with Katie was second to none. Just one of the many comments about the Embassy Suites and its staff: "Every interaction was better than the previous". If you are looking for a venue to make the stressful planning process a little bit easier, and a place where you can feel confident that you are getting everything you pay for and more, please at least talk to Katie at the Embassy Suites. You won't be disappointed!

The Bride and I were shopping around for venues to host our wedding reception. We came across the Embassy Suites off of Rockside Rd. in Independence, OH, and were promptly greeted by Katie Butler to review the hotel's services. She was extremely detailed during our meetings, and was able to outline all details, top to bottom, associated with the hotel's services for the reception. Emabassy Suites has a large, easy-flowing cocktail area, and an even bigger, elegant ballroom. There were many intricate features to what we wanted to have for the reception. Katie Butler and her staff excelled on every aspect of the preparation, setup, and execution of the wedding reception. The food was absolutely outstanding! A groomsman called upon the chef to compliment him on preparing such a great meal. Everyone that attended the reception was dancing at some point...even the 100 year old great aunt! The entire night went as planned with no hiccups or issues. In retrospect, we are extremely happy to have chosen Embassy Suites as our wedding reception venue. Katie Butler and her staff were excellent, the food was outstanding, and most of all, the hotel catered to our every need. They were truly brilliant. Thank you Embassy Suites for providing us with an unforgettable experience!

This was one of the best days of our life! Katie and embassy suites made our daughters wedding so amazing! If I had anymore daughters I would go back there in a heart beat! I cannot believe the compliments we received on the wedding reception. The food was UNBELIEVABLE!!! So so good!!! I would totally recommend katie and embassy suites for your wedding venue!!!!

The Embassy Suites couldn't have been a more perfect place for my wedding reception! Katie was great to work with and really understood the style each bride is looking for. She made it a stress free process and was even available off work hours for any little detail. The staff at the Embassy on the day of our wedding went above and beyond to accommodate not only myself and my husband, but also the bridal party and family members. We had a wonderful experience at Embassy Suites in Independence, Ohio. Our daughter chose this location because her fiancé family was from out of town. She wanted everyone together so no one had to travel. Everyone who stayed at hotel were very pleased with the service and the accomadations. The reception was first class! Katie Butler and her staff created an eloquent evening. We have heard only compliments about the food, the ballroom and the DJ. Katie was extremely easy to work with any time I had any questions she answered them quickly. The experience is like having your own wedding planner without paying for it. It may appear pricey at first but when you realize how much you get for that you don't have to pay for much more than that. We were skeptical at first to have our wedding in a hotel mostly because it felt to impersonal, uninteresting and the ballrooms are normally unattractive. Katie was so wonderful about guiding us through the ENTIRE process! She went ABOVE and BEYOND to make our day exactly what we wanted it to be and more.The service, presentation,food and love that was so delicately put into every detail was in our opinion way above 5 stars. When we walked into the space for the first time all of our fears about a generic hotel wedding had vanished. We found ourselves in a "winter wonderland". I know that sounds cheesy but, it was truly a magical moment for my husband and I. The entire evening flowed by so seamlessly. In our opinion Embassy Suites is the place to have your wedding reception. Do yourself a favor and check them out. You won't be sorry. Working with Katie and the staff at Embassy Suites was such a wonderful experience. Their experience and expertise in weddings helped to make our planning seamless. My husband and I were both traveling a lot for work during our planning, Katie helped to keep us on track and organized in the planning. The minute I met with Katie and walked around Embassy Suites, I knew my dream wedding wouldn't be complete unless I had the reception there! Everything about Embassy Suites was perfect! Katie was there from Day 1 to help with the planning - which was extra helpful considering I was planning a wedding from out of town! She was very professional and answered all my phone calls and emails right away! The reception turned out absolutely perfect! I can't even begin to describe the quality of the appetizers and food. My guests are still talking about how good everything was! And the staff was so helpful the entire evening - they even saved us a plate of appetizers as we were so busy entertaining that we didn't get an opportunity to eat them! My Daughter's wedding was at The Embassy Suites in Independence and the event was in one simple word "AMAZING" The main objective of this Father of the Bride was to have his Daughter's special day be unforgettable and near perfect: And that is exactly what was promised and delivered by Katie Butler (Wedding Specialist) and her Staff at The Embassy Suites In Independence. From the first moment meeting Katie, I knew exactly my daughter's wedding planning was in expert hands. All I remember from the first meeting is her telling me not to go into the Reception Hall until it was ready for my Daughter and I to see. After having wonderful appetizers and drinks for our approximately 250 Family and Guests in the beautiful atrium of the Hotel, it was time for Father and Daughter to see the Wedding Reception Hall before the Party began. Upon entering the room, tears filled my eyes how beautiful and breath taking the venue was. The next five hours went by way too fast as all present enjoyed delicious dinners and drinks served very promptly and always with a smile by the friendly staff. To all those Fathers out there trying to decide with their Daughters where to have their Idea Wedding Reception held it at is very simple. Embassy Suites and Their Wedding Specialist Katie Butler in Independence is the venue to have a special and amazing night !!!!

We had our reception at embassy suites and I can say we truly had the wedding of our dreams. Katie was amazing to work with through out the planning process. She was always there for us and willing to go above and beyond your regular wedding planner. I can't tell you how many times my mom and I called/emailed her about so many different questions. I felt like she was a friend to my family. The reception was amazing and 5 months later people are still talking about it being the best wedding they have ever been to! The food and drinks were amazing, the service was excellent and the room looked exactly like I pictured it to be. Overall our experience was more than I could have ever imagined and I want to thank Katie and everyone else at Embassy Suites for making our day so special.

My bridal shower brunch was hosted at the Embassy Suites in Independence. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and attentive. They did a great job at setting up the mimosa bar just how we wanted and made sure to keep the champagne flowing!!

Katie Butler is absolutely incredible! She made sure our wedding day was perfect and completely stress-free. The whole process could not have happened without her. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious; we are still receiving compliments from our guests :)!

As the Brides "Other Mother" (I am married to the brides father;), it was my job to see that everything was handled and taken car of to ensure that the Bride & Groom had the "perfect day". Not an easy task as her father and I live in Memphis TN, the Bride, Groom & majority of family & guests where local in. NE Ohio. From the moment I spoke to Katie Butler our Wedding Coordinator at Embassy Suites, I knew we could not hold our reception any where else! Katie's made sure every decision & detail to personalize their wedding was addressed and handled professionally. From little things the day of, like seeing to the bride & bridesmaids where delivered Mimosa's & chocolate covered strawberries to their room as their hair & make up was done. To tying the perfect bow on my suit jacket, that I wore to the ceremony:)at the pre-function food sampling, which was amazing!!! Items where covered such as table lines and overlays to choosing from six choices of napkin folds you would prefer best at the reception. You name it, they have it covered! The packages at the Embassy allowed us to have a stress/worry free event where they handled everything. We found that when comparing "apples to oranges", with add in extras such as linens, liquor, service & servers, security, room rental fees etc... The Embassy was quite reasonable and stunning. Our 6 hour reception started with an hour of cocktails and hors d' oeuvres outside the ballroom, followed by a plated sit down dinner in the ballroom. We offered our guest rooms to stay at the Embassy at a discounted rate, approximately a third stayed, and loved the complimentary breakfast the next morning! Katie Butler and Embassy Staff members made our event perfect and virtually effortless on our part, so we could relax and enjoy every moment of the Day! No regrets at all, hoping I have a chance to plan another event again with her in the future!

People still rave about how wonderful the food was and how great and accommodating the staff was. I had several guests in from out of town. My husband and I had the best day ever. Not only was the day itself perfect but the events leading up to the big day were not stressful at all. Katie at the Embassy was the best thing that happened to our wedding. The entire staff at the hotel was fabulous. I strongly recommend he Embassy Suites in Independence for any event!

We were very pleased with our daughter's reception at the Embassy Suites in Independence, Ohio. We worked with their coordinator and she patiently saw to every last detail. We used a few of their preferred vendors which proved to be an excellent source of options and reasonably priced. The food is prepared by a chef, and it was amazing. We met with him personally and he prepared a sampling of various dishes. For our guests, every dinner was cooked to perfection and served hot. There was appropriate staffing, and everything went according to the timeline that we agreed to. And best of all, so many of our friends and family stayed right there overnight, no shuttles and cab rides. I still have family members telling me it was the best wedding they had ever been to. Who could ask for anything more?

I had my wedding reception at Embassy in May 2013. It was fantastic and everyone from my wedding still complements my parents and in-laws about what a great time they had and how delicious the food tasted! I grew up in Cleveland but live out of town now, and having a great wedding coordinator is an absolute necessity. Katie was perfect. Kept up with emails, answered my questions, helped with planning, kept me focused on what needed to be done, and most of importantly kept my parents and in-laws happy without getting me involved! I would not have been able to plan and have fun at my wedding if it was not for her. She made sure the day went off without a hitch. It was also great having the hotel in the same place. My wedding had over 200+ people and more than 80% were out of town. All of them appreciated having a great reception at the hotel they were staying at and the rooms were excellent and affordable, especially since everyone was already traveling. They also offer a shuttle to and from the airport! Most of my guests used this and no one ended up having a problem or having to wait forever. I highly recommend using Katie and the Embassy for your wedding. Whether you are in town or out of town, it will end up being a great event that your family and friends will talk about for a very long time!

Katie, the event coordinator, helped us from day 1 to make this an incredible evening. The package we purchased included everything necessary & then some. Katie & her staff made us feel special each and every time we met. The staff went above & beyond to help accommodate not only us, but our family members and all of our guests. We are still getting compliments from our guests on the venue.

Our reception was on August 9th, and it was the most amazing day/night of my life, thanks in huge part to the Embassy Suites. Katie Butler, the Wedding Coordinator, went above and beyond everything we could have asked for. She was so attentive to the smallest of details that even we didn't think about. She made every step of our wedding planning enjoyable and left us stress-free throughout the entire process. She really made sure we got the most bang for our buck. Katie truly cares about her brides' needs and wants their days to be as perfect as they do. We started with our receiving line in the hotel's atrium. I'm so happy we decided to do this. It was the perfect setting to greet guests and the atrium is just such a beautiful structure. Our cocktail hour and reception were both flawless. The food was delicious - definitely NOT your typical ho-hum banquet fare. People are still telling me how much they enjoyed it! It just made the whole evening that much more memorable. The room was set up beautifully and we even got to have a sneak peak at it before all of our guests entered. It was a truly special moment between me, my husband, and our parents. I knew from the moment we first met with Katie, the Embassy Suites would give us our dream wedding day. I cannot begin to sing her praises loud enough or thank her enough for giving us the greatest, most beautiful and elegant wedding day we could have possible dreamed of. I *highly* recommend this venue for brides-to-be!!

We had moved to Arkansas but both mine and my new husbands family were from Ohio. Therefore we needed to find a place that would be willing to help with everything since we would not be there. Katie and her wedding staff are seriously the most helpful people ever. We wanted a place that could have everything under one roof and this was perfect. We had the wedding, cocktail hour, and the reception all at one place which is perfect. When I saw everything the day of it was more beautiful then I could of imaged. My colors were grey and yellow and the dinning room was amazing. My husband even loved it and he never is excited about table settings. If I could do it all over again we wouldn't change a thing.

The embassy suites on rockside road gave me the wedding of my dreams. I would have not go anywhere else. After meeting with Katie Butler once none of the other venues even compared. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. The reception room was just beautiful. All my guest absolutely loved our wedding there. I have no complaints and either did my guests. Also the hotel its self was great. Perfect for our guest- able to have a good time and not worry about having to drive. They offered appetizers and drinks for 2 hours for all guests staying there( managers cocktail special daily) and breakfast in the morning. With all that being said. I highly recommend embassy suites and especially Katie Butler. She is an Awesome wedding coordinator.

Katie Butler the wedding planner at this Embassy Suites is awesome! She takes care of every detail for you! Our night went off without a hitch, they even cooked 145 filets perfectly! You could cut them with a fork and everyone is still raving about the food. Couldn't have asked for a better night. Only one minor hang up was they forgot to dim the lights for our first dance.

I was nervous about finding a venue that could accommodate a larger guest list effectively and still be a pretty room for my reception and can honestly say that Embassy Suites was exactly that. There was not one part of the night that did not go as planned. Each staff member was never far kind, fast and courteous. The food was cooked perfectly, it looked nice on the plate and a generous portion. Plus we had a late night snack that went quickly but was replenished just as fast. Katie Butler is the coordinator and made this event flawless. She is organized and helped me not only with the reception but also all the other details that went with our wedding day. I could email or call her and she always responded immediately. She made me feel better each time I spoke with her. I would never recommend anywhere else!!

My reception was held at this venue and due to the coordinator, Katie Butler, I could not have asked for more. The grand ball room looked like a fairy tale come true from the up lighting to the forks and knives on the table settings. Katie was extremely helpful in making sure the night was perfect and ran as smooth as silk. She definitely delivered! Katie knew exactly how to perfectly time the events throughout the night and worked wonderfully with the other vendors as well. She made the planning process very easy and stress free. My parents and myself could not have done it without her. If you want the most perfect wedding that exceeds your expectations, the embassy and Katie is definitely the place and person you need! Absolutely outstanding!!

Embassy Suites was the perfect venue for our wedding. Katie is amazing at what she does, and takes great care of her brides. The setup is extremely convenient- beautiful atrium for a receiving line, cozy prefuction area for cocktail hour, and gorgeous ballroom with options for events of all sizes. I highly recommend Embassy Suites Rockside to any bride, especially those who are type A and like everything to be 'just right' :)

If I could do my entire wedding over, I absolutely wouldn't change a thing. The Embassy Suites was the perfect place to have the party of a lifetime and working with Katie was the easiest thing I had to do while planning my wedding. She is on top of her game and makes sure EVERYTHING is covered so you don't have to worry about anything on your big day. People are still talking about how good the food was at our wedding and how much fun it was...the ballroom looked absolutely gorgeous and Katie made my wedding dreams a reality! If you are looking to have hotel ballroom wedding, Embassy Suites in Independence, OH is YOUR place! We had our wedding there over Memorial Day weekend and I cannot say enough about the amazing staff that worked it. We started working with the Embassy Suites staff a year before our wedding and they met our every need throughout the entire process! Yes, I know Independence, OH is not a “hot spot” but, the way their staff (particularly Katie Butler) goes above and beyond to make sure everything is planned out to the very last detail, makes the sacrifice in location is worth it a million times over! Katie, the event coordinator, was always easy to reach, quick to respond (to both e-mails and phone calls) and always had our best interest in mind, even when it came to budget. Katie helped us plan out every detail: ceremony timing, coordination of vendors, cocktail hour layout and specialty drinks, adjusting our wedding package to make it very everything we wanted, the list goes on and on. In addition, Embassy Suites and Katie were very willing to have us (and even both sets of parents) come in several times to change layouts for tables, table cloths and chair cover colors (which she got a vendor to ship in!), drop off of various rehearsal, staying guests and wedding materials as well as have a number of walk through. Not only did Katie do an amazing job with our ever changing list but, her staff on the day of the wedding was flawless. We never had to ask for anything to be done, it just was! To this day, I still get compliments from friends about the bar tenders and how they knew everyone’s drink the second time they walked up, how clean the entire place was and how helpful hotel was for all types of guests. So, why have your wedding at Embassy Suites? If everything the staff is willing to do and does do for you and your family is not enough, the rooms are spacious and a perfect place to have a carefree ending to your night. Who doesn’t love knowing that friends who came to party are safe and get a wonderful complimentary hot breakfast in the morning to talk about all of the fun from the night before. I could honestly go on forever about the perfect wedding we had all thanks to Katie Butler and her staff at Embassy Suites!

I would highly recommend Embassy Suites Cleveland Rockside for any event. Our guests are still talking about the great dinner and apps 5 months later! I would also like to emphasize that without Katie's (the wedding coordinator at Embassy) help the day would not have been as perfect. She is the key to everything. Not only do you get the most for your money here, it is also the highest quality! I couldnt be happier.

The Embassy Suites (Rockside) in Independence did a fantastic job. Katie Butler, the wedding coordinator, is amazing to work with. She treats every wedding as if it were her own; every step was flawless and organized. She created such a special experience for everyone involved...we could not thank her enough! She truly loves her job and I am STILL receiving compliments. The staff that evening was amazing as well. They created such a relaxed atmosphere with exceptional service. The food was unbelievable and everyone had more than enough room...very accommodating. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat!!

The Embassy Suites Cleveland Rockside turned my dream wedding into a reality. I had a great experience from the very first time my husband and I walked into the hotel. We were awe-struck by the beauty of the hotel when we first went. We worked very closely with Katie Butler during the entire process. Katie made us feel like we were the most special couple around. She gave us wonderful memories and gave outstanding suggestions for our food tasting event. Katie was able to take my high-energy wedding ideas and make them part of our special day. From creating our custom-prepared wedding ceremony at the hotel, to helping me make our beautiful rustic arch for the ceremony, to filling her much-to-small for the amazing woman she is office with all of my wedding goods, Katie and her staff at the hotel continued to amaze me throughout the entire process and had a knock-out grande finale that was a memory that not only my husband and I will remember forever, every person at our wedding will remember as well! I recently got married on July 19th, 2013 at the Embassy Suites and couldn't have asked for a better place to have a wedding!! Everything turned out wonderful!! We looked at quite a few reception halls in the Cleveland area and when I found the Embassy it seemed like the best fit. When we started our search we started downtown and looked at Windows on the River, Marriott Key, Renaissance Hotel and a few others. They all seemed to have the same thing in common..they were overcharging for the location and weren't willing to negotiate. All those places were very nice but with our wedding being on a Friday and the value that I compared between the Embassy and the other hotels it seemed like Embassy was offering us everything we were looking for. We got chair covers, a great selection of appetizers and a wonderful dinner. Everyone raved about the appetizers. We had bacon wrapped scallops, beef skewers, cheese and fruit display and an antipasto display as well. For our entree's we had the duet plate of the chicken and filet with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. We were a little worried about the size of the filet because we didn't want it to be too small but it was perfect and more than enough to eat. Katie Butler at the Embassy who is the wedding coordinator truly went above and beyond to make everything perfect. She was always very responsive and whenever we needed anything she was always there to help. As it got closer to the wedding and we had a few stragglers that RSVP'd and decided they were coming the hotel was sold out. Katie told us to wait until about a week before the wedding and see if there were any cancellations and luckily some rooms became available so those guests could stay there. i would also recommend getting the hospitality room at the hotel if you have some lag time in between the ceremony and reception or have a lot of people coming who are from out of town. A lot of people used the room and were able to gather there and eat lunch and snack on bakery and chips etc that we provided. Overall everything was great!! The rooms were very spacious, the service was great and everyone did a fantastic job. It was truly a great night and I am so glad we went to the Embassy and got to work with Katie!!! I also want to say that our DJ was TKO and our photographer was Pat Shaffer. Both did a great job as well with everything!!!

Embassy Suites- Rockside gave me the wedding of my dreams! Everything went perfectly! Katie Butler was AMAZING and soo organized! We were soo happy to have our wedding reception in the grand ballroom! The room was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you for giving us a wedding we will ALWAYS remember!

The Embassy Suites was very accommodating to our needs in terms of a fusion wedding - and has plenty of experience in this area as well. All the details of the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were executed just as discussed and planned. Katie, the wedding coordinator pays great attention to the special needs of the bride and groom. All the guests raved about the appetizers we ordered through the hotel. The only thing to keep in mind is that this venue is on the higher end in terms of expense and you will pay a high base rate per person even if you are catering from outside.

Katie Butler made everything so easy for us at the Embassy Suites. All of the decorating decisions that made me nervous, she simplified and we walked through the whole process together. She made sure that our night was special and it most definitely was! Katie even came in to work the night of our wedding even though she wasn't scheduled just so we would have a familiar face. She helped with the ceremony and made sure everything was set for the reception! Beyond Katie's tremendous influence on the merits of the Embassy Suites, I have to commend the rest of the staff. Everything went off without a hitch and the staff in its entirety is to thank for that. So beyond the spacious rooms and the complimentary omelette station at breakfast, embassy suites will make sure your wedding is one to remember in a very good way.

As a little girl I would always dream of what my wedding would be like... Hey! what little girl didn't... So naturally when I got engaged I was beyond excited to start planning! My fiancee and I had visited a few venues from the popular downtown hotel to the outside under the stars gazebo.. but there was only one that stood out, Embassy Suites Rockside. We couldn't put our finger on what EXACTLY it was, but every venue we visited after Embassy just didn't live up to what the awesomely amazing wedding coordinator, Katie Bulter had showed us. O! did I mention how awesome Katie is?!? From the beautiful up-to-date not hideous carpeted ballroom that could accommodate up to an army, the welcoming staff, the gorgeous open atrium, just the overall feeling of the entire place... we knew, this was THE PLACE!! When it came to the actual planning of our reception Katie went above and beyond any and all expectations we had. I told her my vision and she did an outstanding job bringing everything I had dreamed of to life. Katie was so amazing in all of our meetings providing us with so many helpful ideas and hints that really brought our reception together... from the food tasting, to picking out colors and linens and different fabric,risers vs the different ways of doing a head table, parent tables and so much more Katie really guided us in the right direction! Even after our food tasting I was slightly worried how the food may come out different on our wedding day being prepared for 200 people vs the 6 in our food tasting meeting, but everything was perfect. The filet was melt in your mouth delicious and the stuffed chicken was tender and juicy!! Our Reception turned out to be everything I had dreamed of and so much more!! Katie gave me my fairytale wedding every girl dreams us, and for that I am extremely grateful! Embassy Suites is the perfect place where dreams really do come true!!

My husband and I got married in May 2012 and held our reception for 300 people at The Embassy Suites Cleveland Rockside in Independence, Ohio. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with this hotel. Katie Butler, the Events Manager, is one of the most efficient event coordinators I have ever had the pleasure of working with and she pays great attention to detail. Working with her made planning my wedding ten times easier. She kept me on task and took many to-do-list items off my plate. Additionally, Katie made sure my wedding was a true portrayal of myself and was highly personalized. With her help, I selected vendors, linens, table settings, food, beverages and more which I believe was a true representation of me, my fiance and our picture of a perfect wedding. As for service, the staff at Embassy Suites is phenomenal. Our reception guests are still talking about the wonderful service, food and atmosphere. Some guests even say their steak is the best steak they ever had. The ballroom provides a grand, picturesque location for your big day and the atrium of the hotel provides a beautiful setting for greeting your guests and enjoying cocktail hour. If you are looking for a location that will wow your guests and provide top-notch service, Embassy Suites in Independence is the BEST choice in Cleveland.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside this past April. It was a dream come true! It's everything we ever wanted our wedding to be. Planning the wedding definitely takes a lot of time, but working with Embassy and their wedding planner, Katie Butler, made planning our reception so easy! We currently live in Detroit, MI, so we had some anxiety having to plan a wedding from out of town. Katie was so accommodating in the process, and made herself available whenever we were in town to meet and go over everything. She gave us so many ideas to make our wedding extra special, and unique. Any idea we had, she figured out a way to make it work. The Embassy was great all around, the venue is absolutely beautiful; both for cocktail hour and the formal reception. The week before the wedding, we dropped everything off to her, and she took care of it from there. Everything looked absolutely perfect the day of, and it woudln't have been possible without Katie's help. She is a true professional, and any bride and groom would be lucky to work with her for you big day. The Embassy is lucky to have her. She worked with all of our vendors as well to coordinate the entire dat. I coudn't have imagined The most important day in my life any more perfect than it was. We got so many compliments at the end of the night from the venue itself, to how delicious all the food was, down to all the little details that people noticed. I will never forget that day and how special it was. The price we paid for the entire reception was WELL WORTH it! Compared to other venues we looked at, the value was great, and the elegance topped most other places. The convenience of the hotel was great as well, and all of our guests felt so welcome. Katie helped us set up a hospitality room for all of guests, and it was a big hit!

I highly recommend the embassy suites -independence for a wedding reception. This is our second wedding there. Katie butler is amazing to work with. She goes out of her way to accommodate all your request. The staff is wonderful. The food is the best wedding food our guest ever had. I highly recommend this venue. Having the hotel for the guest is very convenient. The breakfast in the morning is great also. You will not be disappointed in this venue, it was amazing.

Even before we got engaged, my husband and I knew that our wedding in July 2010 was going to be a pretty big deal. I’m the oldest daughter in my family and he’s the oldest son in his, so it was up to us to set the bar. But neither of us could have imagined just how high we would wind up setting it. We made the usual rounds to Cleveland-area reception sites, including all the attractions downtown and the hotspots in the suburbs. We agonized over venues, pricing options, accommodations, and all the other little details that you don’t consider before he pops the question. Ultimately we chose the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside. Best. Decision. Ever. From Day One we knew that we had made the perfect choice. From its perfect location, to the spacious guest rooms, the gorgeous ballroom and pre-functionary, and the all-inclusive reception packages, the Embassy Suites delivered an incredible experience for us and all our guests. Even before the celebration began the hotel started our guests’ weekend off with a free manager’s reception on Friday night with cocktails and snacks. This was almost as well-received as the enormous complimentary breakfast in the mornings! The day of the wedding was absolutely magical. The reception hall was majestic, and the table arrangements with the linens and overlays were strikingly beautiful with our wedding colors. Our wedding meal was fabulous. The hors d’oevures were hugely popular (bacon-wrapped scallops!). I could have eaten several plates’ worth of the salmon with vanilla bean sauce, and my husband – the consummate carnivore – actually DID eat two whole filets. Cake service went smoothly, and we topped off the whole meal with a coffee bar, complete with chocolate-covered strawberries. Our service staff was efficient, fun, and extremely attentive throughout the night, and a few of our more celebratory friends walked away with a greatly improved knowledge of cocktails and mixology. Outside of the incredible reception itself, the best part about the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside is the special events/ wedding coordinator: Katie Butler. Katie was our guardian angel during the grueling year and a half long planning period. She was constantly available with helpful hints and professional advice regarding vendors, decorations, and general wedding-day tips. This is even more exceptional when considering the fact that we had to manage the bulk of our planning from our home in Florida. She really did go above and beyond to make our wedding special; scrutinizing the thousand tiny details we were worried about to create a dream wedding for us that day. Katie worked with our other vendors for flowers, DJ, and photographer to ensure that the evening reception blended perfectly together. My mother had hired a day of wedding planner to see to the details, but as we worked more with Katie Butler and Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside we realized that there was no need for a planner. At all. Our wedding day was everything we could have hoped for and more, and that started with picking the dream location at Embassy Suites. We encourage anyone searching for an all-in-one package to look at the Embassy Suites Cleveland-Rockside for their reception. They will ensure that all of the details of the wedding planning and guest experience are covered, so that you have to worry about is enjoying yourselves during the most magical night of your new life together.

I remember searching for a wedding venue perfectly. My husband and I visited 9 hotels in one day, hoping that each one would be our dream location. It wasn’t until we reached the Embassy Suites in Independence that we felt that “had to have it” feeling. From the moment we walked in, we knew it was going to be the location for our wedding reception. Fearing that the gorgeous lobby / common area was going to be too good to be true, we were ecstatic when Katie Butler, the wedding coordinator, was able to meet with us that day to start talking packages and take us on a tour. Every package was better than we could have imagined. The details were perfectly outlined for us and every question we had was answered with a clear and honest response. Katie was the best go to girl for all our needs. She never missed an appointment, was always organized and prepared, and returned emails quickly and efficiently. She was helpful without being pushy, demanding, or inconsiderate. The day of the wedding in June 2010 is one that is still talked about with our family and friends. Every detail that we specifically asked for was set and the food was to die for. We had guests wanting to steal trays of the bacon wrapped scallops away from the servers. The meat dishes were excellent, being able to pick two instead of just one. Also, my matron-of-honor’s vegetarian dish was delicious. There wasn’t a single complaint and the staff was happy to meet individual wishes. The room size was also just right for our reception. We had two rooms with 200 guests and didn’t feel over crowded or empty. Guests were also happy to visit the hotel bar after and be able to walk right up to their rooms. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful and definitely not your typical continental. We didn’t have a single worry the whole day and evening. I highly recommend visiting this location for your wedding reception.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Embassy Suites-Rockside in October 2010, an entire year later, we are STILL getting compliments from family and friends. I could write a novel on how wonderful our experience was with Katie Butler, the wedding coordinator, and everyone at the Embassy Suites who helped to make our night so memorable. Katie is fabulous, extremely knowledgable regarding receptions, decor, accomadating guests, etc... The packages are very reasonable for what they include, and Katie will work with you to adjust/add to your package to have your special evening just the way you dreamed it to be. The food at the Embassy Suites is delicious!! We chose the filet and stuffed chicken, and our guests RAVED about the cocktail hors d'oeuvres and their dinner. Our parents, along with my husband and I, were able to choose our own special meal if we wanted something different from what we were offering the rest of our guests. I found that to be super special. :) My husband and I even had our very own server, who tended to us all evening, we felt like royalty! Especially since all the servers were in white glove, very classy! We really wanted to have "bar food" later in the evening for our guests to snack on after/while drinking and dancing. This wasn't something typical for the Embassy menu, so Katie and the chef worked with us, and we decided on potato skins and and a mini slider bar... yuuummm!! Our guests thought that was a PERFECT addition to the evening. We also went to Katie wanting to have round AND square tables for the guest tables, just to change it up a bit. She was able to show us an example of how it would look and work AND she was able to get linens to fit with the square tables (which we weren't sure could happen!). As for guest accomodations... Many of our guests (even the locals) chose to stay at the hotel that evening. They were really impressed with the room and the price. Also, everyone was thrilled to know that parking was free AND there was a FREE and HUGE breakfast buffet the next day, so we all got to eat together and see everyone and talk about the night!* :o) I highly reccomend you set up an appointment with Katie and take a look at the Embassy Suites on Rockside Road in Independence and see what they have to offer!* We couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening!* A BIG thank you to Katie and her Staff!!

I wish there were 10 stars because this location deserves all 10! The wedding coordinator, Katie Butler, was the best thing that happened to my wedding. She was patient and attentive to all my needs and to those needs I didn't know I had. The staff at the hotel was polite, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure all the guests were happy. The food was amazing and served in a fast manner. I highly highly recommend this venue!!!!

When I was planning my wedding - I said, "I am not getting married at a hotel on Rockside Road!!!" I was so set on some unique, trendy location. In the end, I was won over by the Embassy Suites. First, the ballroom is lovely. Second, it has a very appealing lobby and staging area outside the ballroom. Third, guests really liked being able to party hard and then just walk to their rooms. If those weren't enough good reasons, the tasting really convinced me. The food was fabulous. The pork main course was better than Michael Symon's (the Iron Chef, ownder of Lola and B Spot). Most importantly, Katie Butler (the coordinator) was fabulous and easy to work with. She gave me some great ideas. She was endlessly patient. My husband and I had lots of personalized touches (a scrapbook table, handmade centerpieces, a wild cake, etc adn so on) and Katie put up with all of my crazy fussing. We brought in 2 luggage carts of things we had made for the reception and she handled all of it with grace. She took my detailed typed directions and made it all happen perfectly. I had nothing but complements on my wedding. People loved the food, venue, music etc. Everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this Embassy Suites location for weddings and other events.

We had a minor glitch in the beginning securing our date, but in the end we had a great experience. Our coordinator was great to work with. She made sure our needs were met. On our night, the staff was great. However, you get what you pay for!

Nice hotel. Very organized with goody bags and rooms. The shuttle was a nice feature but make sure to pick good times for pick-up of guests. This part was confusing for our guests because the shuttle only holds 11 people and they needed more room to take the guests.

The service at the reception was outstanding (although they did take way too long to remove the cake table off of the dance floor!);After we spent $25 000 having our wedding reception there and guests all stay in their suites they would not let us back in the room we stayed to check whether we left something of importance to us.
