Our wedding day went so smoothly, thanks to Jackie and the rest of the staff! Embassy was so easy to work with. They are very organized and remembered every detail on our wedding day. They do all the set up/take down which is extremely helpful! The food was amazing! All of our guests can't stop complimenting us and we've heard them say "This was the best wedding we've been to!" They think of all the details and as long as you communicate with them, they will handle almost anything you ask! The ballroom looked even more beautiful than I could imagine. Our florist provided centerpieces and our DJ did uplighting but Embassy did all the set up, linens, chair covers, and head table back-drop. I highly recommend Embassy for your wedding!!! Several of our guests are considering it for their wedding venue already!!
We loved this venue for our wedding reception! Natalie was extremely helpful and kept us on track with details. The staff is excellent and easy to work with. They do all the cleanup for you at the end of the night, just drop it off organized a day before and then grab it the next day.
Food is excellent, we had a lot of complements on it. We did the state fair late night snack bar and that also went over very well! Can't say enough about how amazing our experience was and made our wedding spectacular for us and our guests.
We had our wedding reception at Embassy Suites on December 30th, and I honestly cannot put into words how impressed I was and how much I appreciate Natalie, Audrey, Tim, and everyone else that helped to make our wedding day perfect. We met with Natalie three times before our wedding day to go over details, and not only is she extremely experienced and professional, she also gave us great recommendations and did a fantastic job calming my nerves. Because of Natalie, this was one of few of our vendors that I trusted completely and had no concerns about. I trusted that Natalie would do everything in her power to make sure our day went exactly how we wanted it to, and that's exactly what she did. The hotel suites were clean, everyone at the front desk was so sweet, the food was delicious, and I truly felt like everyone was doing everything they could to make sure our wedding was perfect and that we had everything we needed. Thank you SO much, Natalie, Audrey, and everyone else at Embassy for making our wedding day a success!
We used Brookfield Suites to book our group stay. We chose this location because they provided a complimentary shuttle service from our hall back to the hotel so guests wouldn't have to drive after drinking. The shuttle service was great...everything else was horrible!
The first room we checked into had black mold growing in the shower and on the shower curtain. The second room, which we didn't have time to inspect until the next morning, ALSO had mold growing in the shower. The breakfast in the morning made all of my family members that ate there sick. And the steam room was so rusted and dirty looking that I couldn't even bring myself to step into it.
We were supposed to stay for a few more days but ended up checking out right away. The only thing they have going for them is the shuttle service. I would never stay here again!
I truly had a perfect wedding day, and I could not have done that without The Brookfield Suites amazing staff. Natalie was our event coordinator and she made sure everything was done and I can't believe the great job they did. The food was AMAZING!! Everyone at my wedding told me that this was one of the best meals they've ever had at a wedding. The staff did everything so great! I was worried about getting everything decorated because I didn't hire a wedding planner for the day of. I didn't need one because the staff there was so awesome. They did everything! They supplied the vases, mirrors and candles for the tables. They took all of my decorations and made the room look amazing without taking any of my time away from getting ready. They did more than I thought was possible. Every little thing that I could ever want was provided by the hotel and I could not be happier with the Brookfield Suites.
My husband and I had a great experience hosting our wedding reception at the Brookfield Suites Hotel. The event planner (Natalie) was great to work with. Everything was well set up and the food was good. Our friends and family enjoyed their stay at the hotel. Please consider Brookfield Suites for your reception. They are reasonably priced and do a great job.
Brookfield Suites was so good to us when I had my wedding there! They were very attentive to us throughout the reception and we knew exactly who to go to with questions or concerns. They allowed us to check in and see the ballroom set up for weddings throughout the months before our own to help with planning decorations for our wedding. The hotel rooms were very nice for those who spent the night and the brunch in the morning was fantastic!
I'll start out with the fact that because we had such a great group of friends and family that came and supported us that the poor service we ended up receiving didn't bring down our night. We had been working with a food and beverage manager that ended up leaving a few days before our wedding and the rest of the staff was so unprepared that we had to start over pretty much from scratch so that nothing would have been wrong. But then there were a few things such as a food choice that was not on the contract we signed that was substituted for one we really wanted and all she had to say to my mom and I was "oh well we made too much of it to change it now" since we had a buffet style. They just were not very accommodating to us which is pretty crappy since you pay over $10,000 and they treat you with poor customer service. There were also a few guests who had few poor experiences. They had it good with their old manager and it's a person like they have now who can ruin the good reputation they had.
Probably would have been ok if the Food and Beverage manager we were working with for the past year was still there, but he had a better opportunity and left 10 days before the wedding. His co-workers and staff couldn’t handle it and it was one mess after another.
We tried to pick up our items the next day and no one could find anything. When they were found, things were tossed in our bin full of cake instead of being wiped off at the bare minimum. The baker was going back to pick up her stands, etc as she had arranged with the facility, but that all ended up in our bin that no one could find
My husband and I were very pleased with everything at the wedding. Colors were matched, food was great, accomodations were good, and we were taken care of so that we were worry free. The hotels contact for even planning was nice and easy to work with. The only complaint was with the front desk. Look carefully at your bill to make sure you are given the wedding booking rate. Some of our guests had problems. Even we, bride and groom, got charged for our room which was complimentary that night.
Overall a great experience!!
The Brookfield Suites was an amazing venue for my wedding!! They were very helpful throughout the whole process and had everything perfect the night of the wedding!
The food was wonderful and everyone enjoyed it. The staff was great and super friendly.
I would recommend the Brookfield Suites to anyone!
Out of all of the people and businesses we worked with, Brookfield Suites was the worst in customer service and overall service!
1) The sales manager who the bride works with, Justin Bauman is a bride's nightmare. He takes 2-3 weeks to respond to any email, important or simple. Also, he requires a reminder email in that 2-3 weeks to even ensure a response
2) At the reception they will most likely run out of food 2 of 3 entres and sides (we paid extra for an upgraded beef and to have 3 meats), tell guests they aren't making more; and if you complain to them they will say "everybody had SOME food on their plate"
3) They will not offer drinks at dinner to the guests that are included on the menu in the contract and will say "the guests should have inquired for drinks"
4) The room was not set up until after many guests had arrived, there was a child's beauty pagent going on instead!
5) Justin (the sales manager) will follow you at the reception and hound you to "stay on his schedule"
6) They will get rid of your extra cake and party favors, as we had ensured much extra of both, and say "they ran out"
7) and the WORST problem is, if you have complaints or problems, Brookfield Suites managment team will A) Ignore you and not respond to phone calls, B) Deny they have a problem when you do get a hold of them AND C) Not make changes to their business.
Overall the staff at Brookfield Suites is less than to be desired. If Justin Bauman would have been there when we were initially looking at reception sites we NEVER would have booked our reception there. And for reference, we had NO problems with any other of our vendors, we were overly impressed with the rest!
Brookfield suites did an amazing job. From start to finish they went above and beyond our expectations.
From the beginning things were not going well. For our 5:00 to 6:00 cocktail and Hors D'Oeuvers hour in the Atrium, it took several requests to get the player piano turned on as per contract. Our sausage and cheese platter was forgotten until we hunted down Justin and reminded him. It arrived at 5:40, much smaller than we expected for $190.
Other platters were not refilled with bread dippers until we once again hunted down a server and asked.
Generally poor service was provided to our guests.
Dirty plates littered the Atrium, for lack of service personnel.
At the dinner itself, service was not only poor, but on our side of the hall, nearly non-existant.
Meal service was not only slow, but as the dinner lagged on, it became more and more humiliating and embarassing as time passed.
Service was so slow, Father of the Bride went into the kitchen and offered his services to serve meals, to get them moving.
Children at 2 tables were served meals a full 1/2 hour sooner than thier parents at the same table.
Some tables were being served cake while other tables had yet to be served thier meals.
The conversation at several tables was how "they felt sorry for those people who had not even been served dinner yet".
We had pork tenderloin that was served pink, red and bloody red with blood running into the mashed potatoes, in which case they had them take it back for our chicken dinner.
Brookfield Suites admitted that they always heat up the dinner plates before they serve dinner but not at our wedding, for some reason. Alot of our guests mentioned that there meal was cold.
Needless to say our guests did not get served water, coffee, milk or drinks in a timely manner, do to lack of servers.
The following Monday we had two meetings with Brookfield Suites, told them all of this and they even recorded our conversation and they never returned our calls. When the bride got back from her honeymoon they proceeded to call her along with guests from other tables.
They had tapes from the whole evening to go back and check to see how things went. (Which they would not let the parents view).
We now have called a lawyer, to see what is next.
The cocktails were in the atrium, a separate area from dinner.;The staff was a little unorganized, we went through 4 wedding coordinators.
I liked the atrium for the coctail hour. I also had a ton of decorations and the staff was wonderful to work with and they made all of my visions and dreams come true. They made me feel very comfortable and I had faith that they would pull it all off for me.;We used the on site baker and although the cake tasted good it looked really bad. For us it was ok - we were not that concerned about our cake and that is why we went with the on site baker - plus she was a lot cheaper. But if the presentation of your cake is a big deal to you - make sure to use someone else!
