Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Easy and timely communication, beautiful venue, recently remodeled & looks incredible. They made our wedding reception perfect, we had no issues, no regrets, and got endless compliments on the venue, as well as the wedding dinner. I wouldn't have changed a thing!
We Had my daughters wedding at the Embassy suites Downtown in August. All of the family were from out of town so it was a great location, even those of us who lived in Omaha stayed the weekend. All of our guest said the location was perfect. Kim Oppenheim was wonderful to work with. She was quick to answer all our questions and help with all the last minute needs. We had the wedding cocktail hour and reception all at the hotel. Meeting up with everyone staying at the hotel was so easy and the made to order breakfast was fantastic. The block room rate was very affordable and the all suite rooms were great. They could use a little decor updating but everyone was very comfortable. I highly recommend them!
We had a block of rooms at Embassy Suites for the out-of-town guests for our daughter's wedding. The hotel is beautiful. It was convenient. The guests enjoyed the atrium area to congregate. The breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They even called us when someone found my daughter's wedding ring in the parking lot!
The only negatives we encountered, were that it was very stressful reserving and guaranteeing the hotel rooms so far in advance, not knowing if the hotel would be full, or if we would have to pay for the hotel rooms, if anyone cancelled. We also thought they should have offered free parking, since we had so many rooms reserved.
We were glad that we chose that hotel.
We had an amazing experience working with the Embassy Suites. Jackie was fantastic. She was always upfont, honest, quick in response and accomodating to all our requests. We were particularly happy with their flexibility in adding to our room block multiple times on an extremely busy weekend (Memorial Day). The hotel is very affordable for the value which includes all-suite accomodations, breakfast, daily happy hour, pool, gym, parking and shuttle pick-up/drop-off service. The hotel is perfectly located between the Heartland Park of America, The Old Market Downtown and The Durham Museum (our wedding and reception location). We even worked out reserved seating for day after breakfast..in a semi private space..which saved us lots of money!!!
Our guests couldn't stop raving about the hotel's amenities and the ease of meeting friends and family in the atrium area. We had 100 guests staying there and barely anyone rented a car..because you didn't need it. They pick you up from the airport....they take you downtown, the botanical gardens, the Zoo or the Ballpark..all for free. But there is plenty to do in within walking distance to keep you busy for many days. Couldn't have asked for a better experience from start to finish for us or our guests. If you are considering the Embassy...do yourself a favor and Book a room block...you won't regret it!
Location, Location, Location
We have stayed at the Embassy Suites and numerous Hilton brands for business and pleasure travels. When we started planning our wedding Durell and I had family and friends coming in from out of town to attend our wedding. Embassy Suite was our first choice for our event as it was centrally located in the Old Market district, just ten minutes from the airport, good entertainment, food and a block from our wedding venue.
We contacted Embassy Suites in Omaha, NE Old Market area. We know the brand is exactly what we would expect in a hotel in total value and offerings (manager reception, breakfast buffet, and shuttle service airport/around town). Our initial contact with the service center to book our block of room, we shared with our consultant of our need for the room she made us feel relaxed and knew she was handling the details to ensure our guest while in Omaha had a great time in and out of the hotel during our event.
We used Embassy Suites for the hotel for our wedding block. They were very professional and helpful. Everyone was very helpful the days leading up to the wedding. Their breakfast and happy hour every night is always fantastic.
Fantastic location and service! We hosted our wedding guest block at the Old Market Embassy Suites. The event staff kept me updated all the way up to the wedding date and helped deliver a favor bag to each wedding guest as they arrived with no issues. We even had a couple extra things that needed to be delivered to specific guests and the front desk took care of everything perfectly. Scheduling the guest shuttle service was simple and the shuttle always arrived on-time. I highly recommend this hotel for any guest block in the Old Market area.
It was such a pleasure to work w/Lindsay Jacobson in scheduling our stay for our Wedding in Omaha. We had the best service and accommodations. The staff was so pleasant to all our family and friends. I wouldn't stay at any other hotel when I book rooms for Omaha.
We used the Downtown Embassy Suites as headquarters for our daughter's Labor Day Weekend wedding. We reserved more than 30 rooms with guests arriving at all hours even several days before the event. The Desk made sure all received the gift bags we provided. The staff was terrific start to finish. The comfortable shuttle made several trips to ferry guests to the church and back . Many also used it for transportation to the zoo, Joslin, and the airport. Our guests raved about the wonderful breakfast buffet with made to order omelets. The pretty atrium became a gathering spot for those wanting to play cards or just visit. The staff was friendly and helpful to us and our guests. We really appreciated the flexibility of management as we had to increase our block several times. We could not be happier with Embassy.
I had my wedding and reception at Embassy.
Pros:the venue decorates for you and takes down all decorations for you at the end of the evening so you don't have to worry about it. All you have to do is show up, party, and leave which is great.
-You get a complimentary room the night of your wedding with treats for the wedding night.
-Adrianne(our coordinator) was great and thought of little details I hadn't thought about.
If you guests stay at the hotel there is a shuttle that will take them anywhere they would like within 3 miles.
Cons:there was a mix up with the chair covers. I wasn't told at any point that we would need to pay a separate vendor for the chair covers until 2 days before the wedding so I opted out of having them which, well, sucked. For the amount we paid, well, let's just say we definitely thought they were included. I even asked my parents who went to the wedding meetings we had at the hotel with me if they remember hearing this and both were shocked. When I brought it up with the hotel I was told "I'm sorry you feel that way" and said I had been told. No I wasn't.
-In hindsight, the amount we paid was pretty huge for what we got. It took care of the food, set up and take down and the ceremony room and reception until midnight. Idk I could be wrong. I think we could have made out much cheaper somewhere else.
All in all it was good. The groom and I had fun and so did our guests which was the point at the end of the day. I would recommend shopping around more than I did. I pretty much picked the first thing that looked nice because I was afraid venues would book real fast.
We just held our wedding at Embassy on July 25, 2015. Adrianne was amazing to work with from start to finish. She is on top of every detail and remembers everything you tell her. We dropped off our centerpiece supplies and decor the Monday before the wedding and she and her staff set up everything for us. Everyone there is so helpful and nice and it's a beautiful location as well. The food was amazing as well. Can't say enough good things. It is fairly expensive, but worth the money.
Staying at the Embassy was the only stress we had on our wedding day. They charged the bride (me) wrongly for hotel block that was for m wedding day. I spent over an hour of my time waiting for them to sort out pricing errors. This took away from time getting ready and with friends and family. It also led to the concern that other people may have been charged incorrectly as well. We also had a scare with out ring bearer who is highly allergic to peanuts. They had them out at the bar area, and even though we kept him away, he picked one off the floor and put it in his mouth. Luckily, he was being carefully watched and it was swiped out, but he was on benedyl and not feeling well the whole day of the wedding. I sent an email expressing my concerns following the stay and received no response. I would not recommend this hotel to a wedding block or family.
Embassy Suite – Downtown was a great place to have a wedding reception. Our guests were able to park their cars and the hotel did everything else. I loved the convenient shuttle service because it took our guests to our ceremony and promptly brought them back.
I was not there but I heard the cocktail hour was amazing and all the food was delicious. When it was time for us to eat dinner, everyone was quickly served and it is no easy task grilling over 100 filets. We had an open bar so we decided to do a “signature drink” that fit in with our theme. I had one and it was delicious.
Adrianne was very helpful and patient throughout the process. My husband and I called her often and she handled the work effortlessly. Of the decorations that I brought, I took pictures so Adrianne knew what I wanted and everything looked exactly how I wanted it. I would agree with the previous review, she made everything go so smoothly.
The only thing I was a little bothered by was the receptionists. I am not sure if they were trying to “one over” my guests but they told our guests we were out of rooms on our block. This happened about 15 times and I know for a fact we were not out of rooms. This is the only dissatisfaction we had with Embassy Suites - Downtown but other than that everything was great!
We just recently had our reception at the Embassy Suites in the Old Market, and we were extremely impressed.
To begin with, the location is perfect. It is great for out of town guests with all of the close by bars and restaurants. It also has a shuttle which picks everyone up and the airport and will take you anywhere within 3 miles.
Embassy offers multiple wedding packages, which makes everything very simple. Ours included cocktail hour, dinner, open bar, and table centerpieces. The food was absolutely delicious, I did not expect this quality from a hotel venue.
The wedding coordinator there (Adrianne) is also fabulous. She helped with everything and made the night flawless. She is so detail oriented, and thought of things that didn't even cross my mind. She made everything go so smoothly.
Overall, loved having my reception here and would highly recommend it to anyone considering. You cannot beat the location or value.
