My daughters wedding reception was in the Oliver Ballroom. Lori Jaczesko and her staff were great. They went beyond our expectations. The food was delicious, the ballroom was beautiful and the staff was very courteous and professional. Both sides of the family are from out of town so it was so convenient for us to have the reception in a hotel. We were very happy with everything regarding the reception. Also, the guys unloading and reloading all our centerpieces and decorations into our cars were very helpful and friendly.

We had our wedding here on 3.23.24. I have nothing but good things to say. All of our guests cannot stop talking about how amazing our wedding was. The hospitality, food, bartenders, everything you could think of was so seamless. Our day of coordinator, Lori, who works for embassy was so helpful throughout the entire process. We are so grateful our day turned out so special and we wouldn’t have done it without her. The embassy should take pride in their weddings because ours truly was one to remember. Highly recommend.

Lori and her team are amazing! They are responsive, organized, prompt, and highly accommodating…space was absolutely perfect for our guest count (135). Can’t imagine our wedding being anywhere else!

Truly the most perfect place in downtown Pittsburgh to have a wedding! We got married there October 2023 and from the start of planning on, Lori and her team went above and beyond to help us plan the perfect day. Would recommend this venue to anyone wanting a classy downtown venue with touches of historic vibes as the building itself is gorgeous. Food was also amazing (and served fresh and hot). Such a perfect day!!

When we toured the venue and met with Lori we immediately knew that we wanted to have our reception here. It was a beautiful blend of new and old quintessential Pittsburgh. From signing the contract, to the many emails and calls through the planning process, to the day of, Lori and the whole Embassy team were great to work with. We had so many guests comment on the event staff and how wonderful they were the entire evening. Not only was the event team great, but the hotel staff (front desk, dining/bar, valet, bellhop, and housekeeping) were great as well and made for a wonderful, well rounded experience.

We had my daughter's wedding at the Embassy Suites on May 13, 2023, and it was AMAZING. They had had a 250-person prom the night before, so Saturday morning things looked a little rough... but within a few hours they had addressed our concerns (and were very receptive and professional) and everything went off without a hitch. From Friday night's check-in and giving out our pre-made guest bags to our out of town guests, to the wonderfully friendly Gastropub bar staff later assisting us with entertaining our guests! Then Saturday, They cleaned up the prom mess (can you say glitter!!) and let us fully enjoy our day, we rented an additional conference room as our ladies get ready room - it worked out great!! We (7 bridesmaids, bride and 2 Moms plus 4 professionals) had plenty of room to relax, get ready and we moms could answer any questions for the reception room set-up down the hall, that came up. All of the support staff were so friendly and seemed just as excited for our big day as we were! Lori the event coordinator and her assistant Rebecca had everything under control, the cocktail hour was set up as we wanted, our cookie table crew was able to come in and set up and the florist came in and set up the reception area as well (the florist is wonderful and was through the venue - One Happy Flower Shop - amazing flowers that still look great 5 days later!). After the ceremony at the church, they had a private cocktail area for the bridal party which was great and very appreciated! The regular cocktail area is a big "L" and was enough room for the 165 guest to mingle, get drinks from the 2 bars and gets snacks while warm appetizers were serviced by roaming servers. Then Lori got everyone into the reception and the bridal party came in and was announced by the DJ. The room was just the right size for a wedding of 165. I wouldn't recommend over 175 in the big ballroom. You had room to move about, but it was full. Dinner was served and it was amazing! The potato soup was really one of the best I've ever had. The steak melted in your mouth, very tender and full of flavor. My daughter loved the veggie option. I was told the chicken was "OK". The cake was provided by the venue, the couple had chosen a chocolate and vanilla with a raspberry filling - it was excellent. They cleared the tables, and the rest of the night was a filled dance floor and amazing memories! The waitstaff asked you often if you needed anything, even after dinner. The 2 bars remained open until 10:30 and the bartenders were so efficient, and the drinks were good, not watered down! I would recommend the Embassy Suites to anyone looking for a wedding venue. My daughter picked them for the all-inclusive cost, room, catering, florist, cake. The facilities are very well maintained, and the staff go above and beyond to meet your needs. From the valet parking to the event coordinator, they take care of you!

The space was absolutely gorgeous with very minimal added decor. The team was amazing at communicating and bringing our vision to life. Lori, Rebecca & Eric were always quick to communicate and accommodate any requests we had. Every staff member we encountered from housekeeping, front desk, and even the valet provided exceptional customer service. The ease of having a space to have both our ceremony and reception in one place was wonderful, on top of accommodations for our guests. When they arrived for the weekend, they simply parked and could walk to explore downtown. The views from the hotel rooms were beautiful as well. I could go on for days, but simply put, I could not recommend this space or team more!

Having our wedding at the Embassy Suites was one of the best choices we made throughout the planning process. We looked at a lot of venues, because we were trying to find something that felt beautiful and classy but also wouldn't totally break the bank. The Embassy Suites gave us the best of both worlds. The original art deco lobby on the ground floor made for AMAZING photos, the ballrooms were very nice and well-appointed, and the hotel was able to flexibly work within our budget and give us a good deal. Lori, the on-site coordinator, was also super nice, professional, and great to work with. We didn't have a professional wedding planner, but it didn't feel like we needed one, with her on the job; she managed to keep track of all the little details, and everything went off without a hitch. While the food at the reception was just what I would consider average, I don't think anyone was unhappy with it, and it was fairly decent for the price. (Sure, we could have shelled out a lot more for a high-end caterer, but having incredible food wasn't one of our top priorities.) The Embassy Suites was the best combination of value, location, convenience (offering an all-in-one package) and service. Oh, and every guest gets a suite, for a price no higher than a regular hotel room! How cool is that? So convenient for families or groups coming in from out of town! Would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a wedding in Pittsburgh.

We had the rehearsal dinner, room blocks, and late night eats after the wedding that was at a different venue nearby. Lori was such a joy to work with, always with a quick response for all emails and calls.

Perfect location for us, great venue with simple flow from ceremony to reception. Lori was an extremely attentive event planner for us, and helped her team execute everything as requested. The food was great and the location provided plenty of rooms and parking for our guests.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Embassy Suites this August and we had THE BEST experience working with the hotel and their team. We worked closely with Lori who was wonderful - very organized, attentive, and compassionate. She was one of the reasons who chose to have our wedding reception there because you can tell Lori and her team truly care and want your event to be perfect! We loved how the wedding package included a Bethel Bakery wedding cake and floral arrangements too. We are so thankful to the Embassy Suites team for making the wedding planning process so incredibly seamless and our wedding weekend so special. I truly feel like Embassy Suites is a hidden gem in Pittsburgh for a downtown wedding!!

Lori and the entire Embassy team was so great. My husband and I got engaged in mid June 2022 and decided not to wait to get married, so we started looking for places that could accommodate for Labor Day weekend 2022 wedding (2 months to plan). Lori was so great and re-assuring that they could work with our short timeline. Not only did we have a short engagement, we also had a international wedding of 170 guests. Everything was great and beyond our expectations. We definitely felt like we got our money’s worth having a downtown Pittsburgh wedding at the Embassy. Their packages included many things (cake, centerpieces, and nice looking chairs) that other places up charge. We loved the experience!

We had a great experience here. They truly provide you with everything you need for the reception and ceremony. The food is amazing, and we loved that we could have our ceremony/reception and guest accommodations all in one place. We worked with Lori and a bit with Kimmie. They were both very helpful and made everything easy. On our wedding day, I sent Lori a list of everything I wanted to be finished, details like reception tables and cookie table, and it was done! However, we had approximately 130 guests and I would not have wanted any more guests. They allow you up to 200 for the venue but I feel it would have felt tight in the room if we had any more than 130. You also cannot change your guest count more than 10 business days prior. We had multiple cancelations due to COVID-19 and did not receive a refund or the meals on our wedding day, due to food safety restrictions. I am sure this is standard at most places, I am just noting it.

Choosing the Embassy Suites for our wedding was one of the best choices we made during our whole process. Their staff was amazing and went out of their way at every turn. We were so lucky to have Lori and Kim leading us and working with us to make our day as special as it was. Any question we had or problem that arose they would always be right there working with us until we were satisfied. They truly had endless patience and were wonderful in catering to our every need. The food was fantastic as well. The beef Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the pasta was wonderful. They had more then enough room for our cookie table to allow us to decorate it the best way we saw fit. The venue itself was beautifully decorated and laid out with lots of love and care. We would like to thank all the hard working staff at the Embassy Suites Downtown Pittsburgh for making our wedding as special as it was. I 100% highly recommend this venue for any couple looking to make their wedding day as special as possible

I had my wedding at the Embassy and have been hearing nothing but rave reviews since! Everyone complimented the centerpieces, food, etc. Lori worked tirelessly to ensure that I did not have to stress about anything. She is very accommodating and genuinely wants you to have a good night. Their package is inclusive (centerpieces, cake, etc) which means less work for you! I honestly can’t recommend it enough.

I can not praise the entire staff at Embassy Suites enough. If you are traveling to Pittsburgh do yourself a favor and stay at the downtown location! Make your life easy if you are planning an event. As a wedding planner myself, it was so nice to have Lori J and Erik take care of every detail including multiple changes and dealing with multiple family members. Bless their hearts. Our event went off without a hitch and with many happy Hitchcocks!

Having our wedding at the embassy suites was the best decision ever! Lori was excellent to work with! Everyone complimented on the food it was fresh and hot. The chef is very accommodating we had several special plates and none of them were wrong! The servers and bartenders are very hardworking and attentive. Wonderful venue!

Had our wedding here on 12/4/21. Everything was flawless! The catering was phenomenal and all of my guests LOVED the food. Even my picky chef of a sister loved it. We also had a lot of out of town guests, and the rooms were fantastic. I think we had a few people fall in love with Pittsburgh while staying here. Every room has an excellent view. Lori, the event coordinator, is a true angel on earth (Kimmie is great too but Lori handled most of my wedding). We had a last minute emergency (officiant got Covid) and she immediately had a list of solutions. She put in SO MUCH work day of too. Lori made everything so easy for me and was never annoyed by my questions, updates, etc. The whole Embassy team did everything. I didn't have to lift a finger and everything was gorgeous. The building/hotel has BEAUTIFUL places in it for photos as well. The place looks like it was transferred directly out of the 1920s. Your photographer will have so much to work with. If you want an elegant hotel wedding with as little stress as possible, this is the place for you. My wedding here was perfect, elegant, and shockingly affordable. 400000/10 definitely recommend.

We chose this venue because we loved the style, the location, and the amenities it offered. Our wedding coordinator, Lori, was very helpful. I must've sent her a million emails in the months leading up to the wedding, and she responded to all of them in a timely manner. She was a key part in our wedding day running smoothly. The hotel was beautiful on the big day. Everyone commented on how nice and elegant the venue looked. The majority of our guests were happy with their meals (beef, chicken, or vegan dishes). We wanted to bring in outside food for late night snacks, but you must only use the venue's food selections. We knew that our guests would want to continue the party after, so the bar in the lobby (Ollie's) was kept open later for us. The hiccups we experienced were minor, and could have been a result of low staff due to Covid-19. Overall, we were very happy, and we would HIGHLY recommend a wedding at Embassy Suites!!!!

The Embassy Suites went above and beyond for our wedding. It all started when we were trying to make accommodations in order to accommodate our originally guest list and Kimmie was willing to to anything to make that happen. But then me and my husband made the choice to have a 25 person wedding and reception and Kimmie again made sure that it was absolutely beautiful. Whenever we got to the reception we were warmly greated by Eric and his team. He and his team made sure everyone had food and something to drink all night long. I couldn't recommend the Embassy suites more to anyone who is in need of a wedding venue. They went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect.

Everything about our wedding day was perfect! The entire Embassy Suites team was exceptional and the entire planning process was so easy. The weekend of our big event everyone kept me calm and assured me all details would be perfect. They didn’t lie! Everything turned out fantastic and our guests are still raving about how great the food was, how beautiful the venue was, and how wonderful their accommodations were. When choosing a venue I very rarely heard people using this location and couldn’t figure out why. The setup was great, the building has so much great Pittsburgh character and the wedding packages were very competitive in comparison to other downtown options. We loved everything about our special day and are so glad we had the privilege of working with the entire team at Embassy Suites Pittsburgh Downtown.

Our wedding was September 28th at the Embassy Suites, and wow it was even better than we could have imagined. We began the planning process in October/November and through that entire 10 month process Nicole Cooper, the event coordinator, was so helpful and patient with us! We had many, many meetings with her to see the space again, talk through ideas and timelines, and she was all for it every time. The food and beverage coordinator Eric also hit it out of the park with his expertise and patience as well. The whole team was very accommodating from special requests with alcohol and food. He made sure we had exactly what we wanted for our big day! Not only was the service exceptional, but the venue space is gorgeous! I was so drawn to it initially because of it’s clean and simple lines, it’s modern, but doesn’t take away from your wedding decor or theme. I have received so many compliments since the wedding to tell me how beautiful the reception space was! I would 100% recommend the Embassy Suites in Pittsburgh to anyone I know who is planning a wedding!! Thank you again for everything Nicole and Eric!

Our time with this venue was great! Everything went very smoothely, I would definitely recommend them. If I could have my wedding over, I would choose them again!

The embassy suites was the perfect venue for our downtown wedding we wanted. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all there. It flowed perfectly throughout the night. The staff was absolutely incredible. Nicole our coordinator answered every email and call promptly. We also had a lot of out of town guests for our wedding since I’m not from Pittsburgh and it was centrally located for everyone to see a lot of areas within the city. Our wedding ended up being around 90 people which was the perfect size for venue. The food was absolutely amazing and we also got a lot of value for our money. I HIGHLH recommend having your wedding at this venue. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat there.

We just had our wedding at the Embassy Suites Downtown July 28. It was a great venue! We were able to have ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one place. We had our ceremony in the junior ballroom and reception in the larger room. The food was exceptional. I think the ideal guest count size is probably between 100-125. Anymore and the ballroom would be kind of cramped. If you are going to be having a lot of out of town guests this is a great venue. It is within walking distance of so many great Pittsburgh sites (Market Square, Strip District, Station Square) and not far from public transit. We worked with Kimmie mainly, but Olivia helped us too. The complementary cocktail hour for all hotel guests is a great way to hang out with your guests for no cost and then go out after. We did outdoor pictures at Mellon Square which is right across the street. Great venue and well worth it.

Do NOT have your wedding here! Mine was booked since Jan 2017. In August 2017, I upgraded to a larger room. I asked the wedding coordinator to send me an updated contract. She said that I didn’t need one, as she would take care of it. Two days later, the manager emailed me that the wedding coordinator resigned. The manager stated his acknowledgment of the upgrade to the larger room and to call him if I had questions. I emailed him back immediately and asked for an updated contract. No response. I emailed him back 2 weeks after. No response. I called him and let voicemails. No response. I received an email from the new wedding coordinator. I assumed she was updated with the changes in my rooms since my conversations with her highlighted the changes. In Jan 2018, I found out that the Embassy Suites double booked my wedding. They offered to move our dance floor into the hallway or to move the entire reception (140 people) to the hotel restaurant. Embassy Suites was extremely unprofessional and unreasonable that I had to get a lawyer involved. The matter was upgraded to Carol the GM, who didn’t seem to have any knowledge of was going on nor the compassion to help us. I had to switch venues with limited availability and budget. During negotiation, Carol kept switching the cost of my wedding. Making it very unclear what the actual cost would be. All the sudden my wedding would cost $18,000 minimum and the complimentary ceremony would now be at least $1,000. My originally budgeted $10,000 wedding would be close to $24,000. You can imagine the frustration and heartbreak we were experiencing. If you already booked here, please reach out to make sure they didn’t double book your wedding or start adding additional fees.

From start to finish, our wedding weekend events were perfect! Even though we started planning with Shawniece over a year ago, she never tired of our constant requests, questions, and emails. Every time we met, she welcomed us with a smile and a willingness make sure our visions became reality. There was comfort in knowing we could also count on her for the details that were unknown or new to us. When THE weekend finally came, valet service helped cart in the many boxes we needed to decorate for the weekend events and people were always there to clean up after us. If we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. The Welcome Reception and Wedding were truly amazing events! Shawniece (and all staff) went above and beyond setting up and serving us and our guests. She has that unique ability to connect with people while overseeing every little detail. We were free to enjoy the romantic upscale ambiance, delicious food, and impeccable service. This staff knows what they are doing and how to please! Regarding cost: We paid $99.00 plus tax and service charge per person for the wedding. For the welcome reception, they customized their restaurant and catering menus for us. They also provided a sangria bar at a very reasonable cost per person. It was held in Ollie's on the 25th floor. Words cannot express our appreciation! Can't imagine any place better! Thank you, from the mother of the bride.

Our experience with the Embassy Suites was fantastic! We booked the room for our wedding reception before it was even finished so we took a leap of faith and they really followed through. Shawniece was so helpful and was always there to answer my many questions. She never made me feel like I was bothering her or asking too many questions (which I'm sure I did:). Everyone I encountered at the Embassy was very kind and helpful! The venue itself is gorgeous. The Henry Oliver building has such a beautiful grand entrance with marble floors and rows of elevators. One thing I loved about the reception area was that the guests had their own space to mingle before they went into the dinner area, and they had a great view of the Mellon Square. The decor of the rooms are great, they are far above normal hotel decorations. Also, their food was exceptional! We choose salmon and steak and they were delicious. I was worried that the food would be less than great because they are making it for so many people, but they really did a great job. The only problems we encountered were the valet parking and coffee. The valet parking was really overloaded when we arrived and guests had to wait a really long time to get their cars back. Coffee was supposed to be served or set out at some point during the reception but it wasn't. By the time they actually had coffee people were leaving. Overall, I loved how everything turned out at the Embassy, they did a great job. We really enjoyed our reception.
