My wedding gown was beautifully cared for. I was afraid of all grass stains. Joe and Tara provided me with peace of mind. I trusted in them and in return I had my beautiful dress back. I look forward to keeping my dress preserved for many years. The customer service was terrific. They met the timeline that was set to preserve my dress.

I did not have my dress cleaned or preserved until 6 years after my wedding. I never imagined that it would clean as well as Emerald did. Even the black frosting stain was removed. I only recommend Emerald Cleaners.

Emerald Cleaners did a fantastic job cleaning and preserving my dress. I had waited over a year to bring my dress in. It was incredibly wrinkled and the tulle on the bottom had set-in dirt and grass stains. I was so worried that waiting so long had permanently damaged it. I received back a beautifully clean dress that looked like the day I bought it. It was presented in a clean box completely sealed off from the elements and came with a muslin bag for extra storage protection. Joe explained everything done to preserve it and gave great storage tips. It will look like it does now for decades and decades! I got married almost 3 years ago and was procrastinating in getting my dress cleaned where is sat filthy in a laundry bag all that time! My plan was to sell my gown but I was pretty skeptical that Emerald Cleaners would get it to a condition where anyone would find acceptable. When I tell you the dress looked brand new is an understatement! The dress was pristine…it was returned to me in a beautiful muslin bag allowing the fabric to breathe and the bodice was nicely supported by a special hanger which contained a molded cup to preserve the shape. With this presentation, putting together pictures which I posted on a wedding dress site was super easy and my gown sold right away! Hands down, go to Emerald…they will take care of your dress regardless of it’s condition and make it brand new again :)

I found Emerald Cleaners on the Knot due to the great reviews, and I'm so glad that I went with them! The pickup and drop off of the gown made it a simple decision too, since getting to their store location wasn't the easiest for me. Tara was my main contact and she was always very attentive via text. I asked her to send me pictures of my cleaned gown before they put it in the preservation box, and they gladly obliged. I also had my blusher veil and cathedral veil cleaned and preserved (veils aren't preserved in the same type of box as the gown), and overall I was very happy with how the gown and veils looked. I highly recommend Emerald Cleaners!

After my wedding I brought my wedding dress to Emerald Cleaners. They were wonderful and took great care of my dress. After my sister's wedding I offered to take her dress with me to have it preserved. Again, I experience wonderful customer service and they did a wonderful job with her dress. Her wedding was on the beach, which meant her dress collected all sorts of stuff in the hem. They were able to treat the hem of her dress to get all the twigs and debris out of the bottom.

My experience with Emerald Cleaners in Boston was overall excellent this winter. The staff is very knowledgeable about the process of cleaning and preserving my gown and this was explained very clearly before and after I picked up my gown. Joe and his staff do a wonderful job of explaining the best way to store the box and also were generous and gave me a discount on their services. I knew from my first call to Emerald Cleaners that these ladies know what they are doing! They were so knowledgeable and really cared about your gown and the hand cleaning process that is done to clean and preserve your gown! I had my dress picked up from my office parking lot, sent in for cleaning and preserving, and then dropped back off at my office. It was so easy and convenient! My dress is in a nice box with a little window now and I know that one day if I take it out again it will be brand new!

Emerald has been my dry cleaning and tailor service for years, and I always knew I'd take my wedding gown there for alterations and cleaning. I couldn't have been happier with the alterations and the incredible price I paid... I was married in Italy in June 2015 and planned to have a reception 5 weeks after returning home. I knew I would need my dress cleaned once for the reception and again when I was ready to preserve it. Emerald Cleaners is NOT close to my home! I live in Peabody and knew it would be a trek but it was absolutely worth it! Other reviews gave me the confidence to use them and I am so glad I did. They were nice and friendly and did exactly what I asked. June is an extremely busy time of year but my dress was ready two days prior to my reception and looked perfect. I had a pair of lace shoes that had grass stains and black smudge on the heels from riding in an old car in Italy. They were not sure if they'd be able to get out the stains but assured me they would not charge me if they could not do it. The shoes were restored to almost 80% of their original look and I was able to wear them again for the reception. Emerald Cleaners even scheduled a pick up and drop off free of charge after the reception so I did not have to drive down there with the big dress and veil again. My gown and veil are now neatly and perfectly stored in a safe large box. Emerald Cleaners has excellent customer service and were one vendor that made the whole wedding process a little less stressful! Definitely recommend.

Emerald Cleaners did a great job with my wedding dress (from what I can see of it from the window in the box). Joe was great to work with - friendly, easy, and comforting when it comes to spending that much money! I struggled with doing it in the first place because it's a few hundred dollars on the assumption that the dress will be used again, which it might not - but Joe honored the discount that they were running during the week prior for me. It only took about 3 weeks. (I expected like 3 months!) I would highly recommend this company if you decide to drop the money on it!

The last thing I wanted to do after wedding planning was spend a lot of time researching dress cleaning/preservation, but I finally got around to doing some when I remembered the bottom of my dress was black... and I'd love it if my dress could be worn by a future daughter (or niece!) Emerald Cleaners was such a fantastic experience! I brought my couture wedding dress in because the store already had amazing reviews online. Joseph, the manager, did an amazing job explaining the entire process of cleaning and preserving to me. I really felt like I understood all of my options and the care and technique that goes into wedding dress preservation. I also gave them my shoes and my cathedral veil to clean. The cleaning took about a month but the results were fantastic. The dress was hand-washed and pressed and hung up an displayed so nicely. The veil was super neatly folded and wrapped and my shoes look brand new again! I was really worried about the extensive beading on my dress and whether it would be damaged by the cleaning but it wasn't at all! The entire staff was extremely helpful and clearly takes pride in their work. Joseph was extremely knowledgeable and was able to help me understand! I felt confident in my decision to work with Emerald and you should too! :)

I just picked up my dress from Emerald Cleaners and they did an amazing job. The bottom was filthy from walking through the sand and dragging on the floor and it looked brand new after they cleaned it. This was super important because I was selling my dress. It turned out that I had to pick up my dress and rush ship it to another bride. Joe (I think his name was), was so incredibly helpful and shared all he knew about shipping gowns. He packed the dress in two layers of plastic (one a heavy duty bag), told me how to fold it and even gave me a ton of tissue paper to put in the box all around it so it didn't move. I'm so happy he told me all of this because the guys at UPS really had no idea and wanted to fold it and fold it to save on shipping costs. It was more important to the bride that it got there in good condition rather than cheaply, so I really appreciate all the help. Thank you so much for a great job cleaning the dress and all the extra help!!

The bridal gown cleaning, restoration and preservation service is top-notch. Not only did they clean my dress, but small repairs like fixing my broken bustle were included as part of the deal. Joe was extremely thorough in his explanation of the process, and he took good care to address all of my concerns. The 4-star rating on service is not 5-stars because there were some delays in getting my dress back. I was quoted 4 weeks, but it took closer to 8 weeks. No one called me to let me know what was going on, and no one seemed to know when I called the shop. However, once Joe got back to me all fears were allayed. He even took pictures of all of the repairs for me so I could verify that the work had been done (since you can't see much of the dress once it's boxed). Overall I'd recommend Emerald Cleaners wedding dress preservation service to anyone interested in saving their dress for future use.

I found Emerald Cleaners by looking up reviews for wedding gown cleaning/preservation online. They did an amazing job and had such great customer service. Joe picked up and delivered my dress - he was very informative and ensured that my dress was in good hands. It is a family run business and you can tell they are very passionate about their work. He knew what he was talking about. The bottom of my dress had gotten very dirty from dancing and he assured me it was an easy fix for them. I also had a small blue heart cut out from one of my dad's shirt on my dress as my something blue - they even took the care to sew it on for me (I had used double sided tape :)) The dress was ready a few weeks later and it looks beautiful in its preservation box. I would highly recommend Emerald Cleaners to anyone who needs their wedding dress cleaned!

Do NOT go here for your gown preservation/cleaning OR to fix your veil. I went to The Knot thinking that they might be able to recommend a reputable dress perservation company and their number 1 was Emerald Cleaners. I called them up and had them pick up my beautiful gown and veil (borrowed from a friend). During my wedding, the intricate beading on the veil had some pulls in it and so I wanted to repair this before giving it back to my friend. When Emerald Cleaners finally dropped off my gown and veil, I was disgusted by what I saw. My dress had been carried vertically and so it had sunk in the packaging. It looked like it wasn't attached to anything inside the box. There were beads missing and lord knows what else went wrong with it - I could only see through the window on the box. The veil is a HUGE problem. They packaged up the veil in a small preservation box thinking that I would not open it. I opened it right away because I was not going to give it to my friend in the box. When I pulled the veil out of the box, I saw that instead of fixing the beading pulls, they just ripped the pulls off (three inches worth) and one pull wasn't even touched. It is obvious to me that they did not care at all about my precious garments. Currently, they are trying to find beading that matches the rest of the veil but they wouldn't have to do this if they didn't throw out the beading in the first place. Since E.C. has a guarantee, I sent both garments back so that they could be fixed. The woman told me that it would take 2 weeks. It has been three MONTHS and my friend now wants to have her veil back. I am mortified. DO NOT GO TO EMERALD CLEANERS. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED CASH AND SCREW UP EVERYTHING.

I took my wedding dress to Emerald Cleaners to be cleaned and preserved and would do it again in a heartbeat. (I called them more than ten months after I actually WORE the dress...) They were prompt, communicative, thorough and they have great customer service. They even pick up and deliver your dress to your door! The price was worth it and I felt very comfortable working with them. You can't go wrong.

I couldn't be happier with Emerald Cleaners. I had a huge, huge problem - red wine stain on my wedding dress!! Yes, someone spilled red wine on my during the reception....luckily after all the pictures. It was down my entire dress. Joe at Emerald was fantastic from the start. I give Emerald Cleaners my highest recommendation. I received quotes from several dress cleaners and Emerald was by far the most competitively priced. Also, the sales associate was kind of enough to offer me discounts that had expired the previous week and didn't try to up-sell me on any services that I didn't need. The will pick up and deliver to your home, which is a HUGE help if you had a ballroom dress like I did. My dress came back looking great and nicely displayed through the clear plastic front of the box. Lastly, everyone I deal with at Emerald was incredibly nice and helpful. I give them the highest marks for customer service!

I gave them a call and talked to Joe, he explained that they cleaned the wedding dresses by hand and they had a life time guarantee and would preserve it very nicely in a box and it would be safe from the elements. When the dress was finished they hand delivered it to our house. The dress looked amazing. Joe did exactly what he said they would do. Emerald Cleaners is the best cleaners I have ever used. I have my whole family going to them now and they will deliver your clothes for free to your house. In an era where customer service seems to be on the decline, Emerald Cleaners is a ray of sunshine. Yes, that sounds cheesy. But seriously, their customer service is just top notch. I got married in August 2013 and they cleaned and preserved my dress and my husband's tuxedo. Communication was timely and efficient; they picked up my dress (which felt like it weighed a ton) from our house and dropped everything off. Amazing - saved me a ton of time and the hassle of getting it in and out of my car.

As we celebrated our anniversary, my hubby and I discussed our Day and what was great about it and what might have been better. So, the top 10 items that were great... 1) It's over, we're still in love and are happy we did it. We discussed eloping but chose not to for various reasons. 2) The caterer was great, lot's of comments from our family and friends that we pulled off a vegetarian meal with all the plates licked clean. -Guru in Somerville. 3) Friends did our flowers, low cost and couldn't have been nicer. 4) Band, we had great music, our friends from Berkley played until we got thrown out 5) Emerald cleaners, we spent to much money on my dress -thanks again mom - and wanted to preserve it for memories. My sister had used Emerald a few years back and said the service was great and she's really happy she had the dress preserved. These guys picked up the dress and delivered it when they said they would and at a time that was convenient for us, in the early evening.

One of the easiest services was Emerald cleaners to preserve and protect my wedding dress. I am hoping my daughter will use the same dress, just a romantic concept I've always had. I wanted to use my moms but it was never preserved and therefore not able too. :-( . Emerald called to arrange a convenient time to pick up my dress, again, delivered at a convenient time that we were home and delivered it with a thank you bottle of wine. They made it easy and we're talking about pulling it out on our anniversary to admire. Joe is saving his bow tie, as he jokes maybe our son will wear it on his wedding day. I got my wedding dress pressed before the wedding and then cleaned and preserved after the wedding by Emerald Cleaners. On both occasions the dress was perfect. Their service was better than perfect though - they came to pick up and drop off my dress both times, working completely around my schedule and even expediting my dress because of time constraints. Everyone I worked with so nice...I can't recommend Emerald Cleaners enough.

It was great to work with Emerald Cleaners and Joe! They explained the entire process to preserve my wedding gown ahead of time and their price was extremely reasonable. Also, the fact that they come to your house to pick & deliver the dress up is a HUGE plus. The dress was ready when promissed and delivered in a beautiful box. Joe also went through the exact details on how to store the box to make sure that my wedding gown is preserved for the years to come. To top it all off... I recently had my wedding dress cleaned and preserved by Emerald Cleaners and was blown away by their customer service, professionalism and how they went above and beyond to not only make the process easy for me but to make me feel comfortable using them. I was extremely nervous to just hand over my wedding dress to strangers in hopes that I would a. see it again and b. it wouldn't be ruined! I read all the great reviews and gave it a shot. They made the process extremely easy by picking up and dropping off my dress, they were extremely friendly and professional and explained the entire process in detail and provided all the paper work. When my dress was dropped off it looked beautiful and they storage box is convenient and I can oggle over my dress any time I want. They are completely trust worthy and do a great job! I'm very happy with not only my decision to use Emerald, but to get my dress preserved. Yes its an extra couple hundred dollars after spending what felt like a small fortune on all the other wedding expenses, but I think it will be worth it in the long run when years from now my dress is like brand new.

Easiest thing I did for our wedding. About a week after we got home from our wedding I received a post card in the mail from Emerald Cleaners. I had gone to a wedding shown several months prior and that is how they got my contact information. Over the phone they answered all my questions and we navigated their website together so I could feel confident about my dress cleaning. I feel really happy about my decision to preserve my dress. Maybe someday my daughter will want some part of it and she will have the option. My mother and her mother did not have the same option and their dresses didn't survive their daughters as well as I think mine will.

They were so amazing! I submitted an online request and was contacted by joe the next day. He's a great guy very personable and honest. He explained everything to me and when he came to pick up my dress, we inspected the gown together! My gown was perfect when returned and he even brought my dog the cutest toy!

Emerald Cleaners is THE place to bring your wedding dress! They really understand how important a dress is to a bride (even after the event). Everyone is extremely courteous, professional, and friendly. You don't even have to leave your house to get it done. Joe was right on time for pick up and drop off and even took extra precautions in transporting the dress on a rainy day. I would recommend Emerald Cleaners to anybody looking to have there gown cleaned/preserved. If you have any doubts just give them a call you'll know after speaking with them that your dress is in good hands. Oh...the best part is that you can still see your dress after it's preserved!

this review is long overdue! Emerald cleaners did an excellant job cleaning my daughters wedding dress after her outdoor wedding during Hurricane Irene. The bottom of her gorgeous dress (layers of delicate laces) was black due to all the chemicals used to keep the lawns at the Elm Bank green. Because of the hurricane, the wedding couple were to do a reshoot to get some outdoor wedding pictures , my job was to get the wedding dress back to its original shape while the wedding couple was on their honeymoom. I found Joe from Emerald cleaners after searching the internet and shot him an email at 9:30 at nite and went to bed. Little did I know but, he responded immediately and assured me that he could get the dress cleaned. He came picked it up the next day and had it back to me within three weeks looking like I just picked it up from the bridal shop! I couldn't believe how beautiful it looked again and the photo reshoot was perfect! I highly recommend Emerald Cleaners.

Emerald did a great job cleaning and preserving my dress. The dress looks good as new and the customer service (thanks Joe!) was fantastic. The pick up and drop off was super convenient. Joe even remembered I had 2 dogs when he dropped off my dress and had treats ready for them when I answered the door.

Joy did an amazing job on the alterations for my wedding dress and all 5 of my bridesmaid's dresses. My wedding dress was from Barcelona, Spain and weighed 32 pounds! It was a very elaborate dress and need a lot of alterations. She exceeded my expectations, it came out beautiful!

The best cleaners and they do it all. I was lucky to win a $100 off the cleaning of my dress but after the service I received I would of chose them even if I didn't. The came and picked up my dress, head piece from my mother house and explained everything that they were going to do and then delivered to my new house. I have told several friends who are getting married to go through them.

These people know their stuff. Joe was awesome, came and picked up my dress, told some good stories about worst case scenarios they've seen with wedding dresses and how they've restored everything, never a problem. Love that. I knew my dress was in good hands. It was great that they came to my apartment, picked up the dress, and two weeks later dropped it off again. And... it looks fabulous! Just like the day I purchased it. They fixed the lace exterior without problem (there were a few small tears from busting moves on the dance floor) and removed all the dirt from the hemline --- always good to know when you plan on having a country wedding outdoors. Definitely would recommend them to anyone!

I meet Emrald cleaners at a bridal show. After asking a million questions i decided to place my info in a box labeled 2nd place. I recieved a letter in the mail about a week later stating that i won a significant discount off of the preservation package. I got married in May 2011 and called them a few months later. I was nervous to have someone come and pick up my special gown but i knew it was in great hands. I then recieved a phone call about a month later saying it was all set and then it was dropped off to me at my work! The dress looked amazing. I had my veil preserved too.
