Emilie Duncan is the perfect wedding/event planner!! she was always available throughout the day and even in the evenings! If she wasn’t available at the moment I called her she got back to me immediately upon being free. I have to say the entire weekends events were perfect do to Emilie’s superior organizational skills!

Emilie is everything you could want in a wedding planner. When I first met her I was a quivering heap of nerves with no clue what to do next! She didn't even flinch at the prospect of my 400-person, Hindu-Christian 2-day ceremony. Emilie is a true professional with obvious experience and invaluable industry connections. And she is obviously not afraid of a challenge! She helped me to get organized, focused, and on schedule. Emilie worked well with all vendors, the venue's planners and even the overbearing in-laws! On the day of she was calm and collected, and anticipated/thwarted any potential mishaps before I even had a chance to find out about them. She truly made an otherwise terrifying experience rather enjoyable, and I can not thank her enough for the beautiful wedding that she helped us create!

Emilie is a miracle worker and we can’t thank her enough for everything that she did to make our wedding amazing. We chose Emilie’s “Wedding Month Coordination” service and also consulted with her early on in the process for suggestions and vendor recommendations. Her patience, planning knowledge and network of local vendors helped us make our dream wedding a reality. Even as a thunderstorm rolled through the night before our big day Emilie stayed calm and adjusted plans to make sure we still had our perfect wedding. On the day of the wedding she worked tirelessly to make sure that even the smallest detail was in order and stepped in to roles that were far above and beyond our expectations. Emilie is absolutely wonderful to work with! She helped me plan my wedding from start to finish and made it feel so effortless. She was very easily able to understand my visions/ideas and gave me suggestions when needed. By far the best thing about Emilie is her persona and calming demeanor. Planning a wedding is a huge undertaking. Especially if you live 4.5 hours away in NY and your children live, and choose to married in, Ohio! I first met Emilie Duncan in 2009. She was the wedding planner for my son's wedding and at that time, as mother of the groom, I was so impressed by her skills and delighted by her personality. It was a grand event and she made the production of it seem effortless. It exceeded all our expectations. Fast forward to 2015. The phone rang, and when I said hello I heard my daughter's breathless scream "Mom I'm engaged!" Once the excitement died down the very first priority was to call Emilie Duncan Event Planning. There was absolutely no question who we would entrust this major event to. My baby was getting married! Our choice of Emilie Duncan Event planning was validated so many times during the process, but never as much as three weeks before the big day. We had a crisis...a BIG ONE. Our church informed us we could not have the wedding there. The church had been hit by lightning and had structural damage! Could another Church be found during one of the busiest months for weddings? The domino effect of this was truly daunting. Even if we found a church there was our timeline for everything, plus notification to the guests of changes! Emilie dropped everything and immediately met my daughter to soothe and reassure her that all would be well. BOOM! In less than 36 hours we not only had a new church, but the time was to be the same! The location was just two blocks away and post cards were in the mail to notify guests of the change of marriage venue. What a save by Emilie! As a mother of the bride in a different state I could only attend one or two planning meetings. I can't emphasize enough how big the trust factor is in such an undertaking. I can say with 100% surety that Emilie, and her assistants at Emilie Duncan Event Planning handled everything at the highest level of service and with such a delightful personal touch. We gave Emilie our budget and from there she gave us outstanding choices in our price range for every aspect of the wedding. She created a time line for the entire decision making and followed up in her gentle positive way to make sure all things stayed on track. She tracked our budget and told us when we could spend and when we needed to make a different choice. Emilie has a wealth of knowledge for all stages of planning and her style is so classy! It is evident she is driven to produce YOUR vision of this all important day and she is joyfully passionate about doing so. My daughter had a great deal of fun with Emilie and loved their planning sessions. Emilie treated us like family and with that came such a great peace of mind! One week post wedding I am still marveling at how perfect our day went and I am teary eyed as I write this. We are still receiving compliments from family and friends and many have said it was the best wedding they ever attended. My daughter had that day that all little girls dream of. Thank You Emilie! Emilie exceeded every expectation we had for a wedding planner. My husband and I are from Ohio but don't live there anymore, so it was a huge help to have an advocate for us in Ohio who knows nearly every vendor we could have needed. Emilie would get a feel for what we liked and what we're looking for, then narrowed down an infinite list of vendors to only a few, then gave us the power to choose which we liked. Her help shaved so much time off of our decision making process and we ended up with the BEST vendors we could have asked for! Every single person she recommended gave incredible results and each of them gave so much praise to Emilie. It's truly telling how amazing she is based on how much all the vendors love her! Quote "she gave me every detail we need already--well of COURSE she did, it's Emilie!!" Emilie turned our vision into a reality. We literally had the perfect, stress-free (yes, stress-free) wedding and the process was so much fun! I will be recommending her to anyone I know in the central Ohio area who is getting married! To top it all off, Emilie actually married us! Our officiant was a friend who wasn't ordained, but Emilie IS, and she happily signed our paperwork for us. I'm so glad to call her a friend after this year of working with her!

We hired Emilie and her team for month of coordination and to ensure the day went smoothly. I did not want to be in charge on my wedding day. Emilie was the perfect person for this role! She immediately understood the style and atmosphere I wanted for the wedding and was 100% supportive. I really loved her attention to detail and organizational style. It was very similar to mine, so it put my mind at ease and made me feel less stress. She asked wonderful questions, many that I had not thought of before, to ensure she was completely prepared to run the show on the big day. Her presence was so appreciated and really allowed myself, my husband and our families to relax and enjoy the day versus worrying about small details. We LOVE Emilie! Our whole family does! She did a fantastic job planning our wedding and making it one of the best days ever. Emilie was one of the first vendors I contacted, and my husband and I are so happy we invested in EDEP for our wedding. Emilie was there to help with all the pre-wedding meetings and consultations, and helped direct us toward vendors within our budget and who would be a good fit for our wedding style. Not only was she a huge help before the wedding, with pulling my scattered ideas together to make our wedding vision a reality, but she and her interns handle the day-of coordination flawlessly. Working with Emilie Duncan Event Planning was one of the best parts of my wedding...seriously. Emilie did an exceptional job keeping us organized and on-track, all while being a supportive and thoughtful sounding board for ideas and planning. Our wedding day went off without a hitch, thanks to her and her staff and their attention to detail. She was able to help us execute our vision and made sure that all decisions we made were ones that stayed true to us and our goals. People often say that a process was enjoyable from the very beginning, in our case it's the truth, we planned on meeting three wedding planners with Emilie Duncan as our first. . . we never met the other two. Emilie was soooo great to work with and from the first meeting I knew that we would work well together! Top highlights: Incredibly organized. Emilie will keep you updated on timelines, when you should be finalizing your vendor choices, when things are due, no detail is left undone. Very tech savvy, she lives by her iPad =) which is great because she never misses a thing. Honest. There will be times you may need to go to things without your planner (you don't want to spend your hours, you have a different schedule, etc) she will let you know whether you can handle it and she will give you advice to take to the meeting. Additionally, during the planning process you will surprise yourself with how creative you start to become, but Emilie keeps you grounded. She will let you know related costs, reality of doing things (I wanted candles on a fourth floor balcony. . .very difficult), etc and not in a way to crush your spirit but to keep you aware of what's really possible and to help you think of similar things that you can do. Advice. Emilie really does a great job of stepping in or stepping back when needed. She always listens first to see what you have in mind (flowers, colors, design, etc) and when you are unsure, she's there to help you work through the options and decide what works for you. Support. This was huge for me. My mother lives out of the country and my husband was working full time, in the reserves and in grad school during the wedding process. Emilie was involved in everything with me and always there when I was feeling overwhelmed. Simply put, she kept me sane. Relax. Having Emilie's help the day of was one of the greatest parts. She will help to make sure everything is scheduled (deliveries, arrivals, setups) which is such a great relief, enjoy your day! Overall, she was just fantastic. We came to Emilie almost a year and a half before our wedding-we knew we wanted a planner and we knew we wanted to start planning right away, as I was going to start a new job and my husband was studying for the Bar Exam. We knew we wanted to hire Emilie the moment we left our initial meeting with her. She made us feel so at ease. Over the last year and a half, she helped us hire vendors, pick linens, select flowers, and a million other things. Whether we had a huge, pressing concern or a trivial question like "How many songs are in a prelude ?", Emilie was had the answer for us right away. I never felt like we were left in the dark-her communication was oustanding, and her expertise saved us countless hours and so much stress. As we got closer to the wedding, everyone I saw would ask if I was nervous, and I always had to say no- We felt so confident in Emilie and her team, there was no reason to be nervous. Our wedding day proved to be more beautiful than we ever imagined, and all our visions came to life that day thanks to Emilie and her team. The night went SO smoothly-it really was like a fairy tale, and I know it would not have been possible without Emilie and her team! We hired a spectacular planner at the beginning of this journey, and gained a friend along the way.

I am typically a very high stress, detail oriented person. However, when I met Emilie, all of my stress dissipated. She truly made our wedding so memorable and so perfect. From the beginning, every detail fell into place. All I had to do was mention my ideas and she helped bring them to fruition. Several members of the bridal party threw her some curve balls the day of the wedding (wanting to do a second rehearsal during photo time), but she handled it with grace and ease. Emilie is also not the type to make you feel belittled or blow you off when you discuss something. She is truly a valuable asset and well worth the investment.
