If I had one piece of advice for newly engaged couples, it would be to hire a planner...and the Emily Ventura Design's team is hands-down the best choice! I knew a wedding planner was going to be essential to a successful wedding day, and I could not have been more lucky to have Emily throughout the process. As someone who works and travels a lot, but who also works in event planning, I know I needed someone who would allow me to be hands-on in the process but also able to step up to the plate when I was unable to, and Emily made that process seamless. Emily also put together the vendor dream team for our day and I have no doubt that the vendors she helped select made our day go as smoothly and perfectly as she did. I was so grateful that everything was just taken care of on our big day, and I got to enjoy and soak in the very best weekend with mine and my husbands favorite people. I had a great experience working with Emily! She was very calm and easy (and fun) to talk to. She anticipated a lot of things I hadn't thought of, and figured out a lot of the details that made my wedding go smoothly. What I appreciated more than anything else is that on the day of my wedding I didn't have to run anything-- I just went where I was told to go and focused on enjoying myself.

We hired Emily for the Full Service Planning and Design package to assist with our wedding in April 2022. Right out the gate she was exceedingly professional, and quickly helped us get organized and setup a game plan. For almost a full calendar year, Emily was there for every decision and to answer any question that we might throw at her. She attended every vendor meeting with us and was always prepared, knowledgeable, and supportive. It was a huge relief to have her along! Emily really took the time to get to know us and understand what our vision for the wedding would be. We struggled with making some hard decisions, and Emily wasn't ever afraid to offer her unbiased opinion to help support what our vision was. Although some of our visions were a little less traditional, Emily had absolutely no issue helping us to incorporate it into our wedding. Emily always had a few suggestions on hand for vendors that she works with frequently and felt would fit with our aesthetic. We are delighted to report that EVERY SINGLE ONE was phenomenal to work with. Not only that, it was clear that our entire vendor team worked well together which made everything run even smoother. For our actual wedding day, Emily was there and ready to take the lead. It was reassuring that someone was in charge, and we didn't have to burden a friend, family member, or ourselves with that responsibility. The day before and the day of we even had multiple curve balls thrown at us, which we passed along to Emily, and she handled them spectacularly. We truly didn't have to worry about a single thing as the entire team handled everything behind the scenes. Our wedding day went off without a hitch - we attribute that mostly to Emily's demeanor and preparation going into it. I hired Alyssa as a month-of coordinator and I can't imagine having gotten through everything without her! We had a number of check-in calls where she helped me fill in the blanks of things I hadn't thought about and reassured me that everything was going well. My work makes it challenging to take phone calls during the day so having her help in the last couple of weeks was invaluable. We ran into a couple snags as you'd expect for a wedding but she handled everything so well I didn't know anything was amiss. We were able to be completely immersed in our special day. I recommend everyone have a coordinator for their wedding day but you should especially hire Alyssa if you can!

Emily is excellent at her job! She's friendly and professional, detail-oriented and organized, prompt at replying to calls/texts/emails, and has great taste! I had a very intimate wedding and initially thought I would not need a planner, but so glad I got one because it alleviated a lot of potential stress. I had a vision of what I wanted my wedding to look like and she delivered! I'm so glad I worked with her and would recommend her 100%!

Hiring Emily as our wedding planner was the best decision we made. We were well into planning when COVID hit. I cannot imagine navigating everything that came along with being a COVID bride without her. When we made the decision to postpone, she quickly jumped into action and communicated and negotiated with all of our vendors — not to mention eased all my anxieties! We had quite a few conflicts that came up during planning due to various factors, and Emily was always there with us, giving us all and any support we needed. She is the absolute best to have on your side. Outside of being an amazing crisis manager for us, she recommended and coordinated all vendors — all of which were fantastic. She has such great connections and relationships in the wedding industry, that everyone was so glad to be working with her. When our wedding finally came (one year later than expected), everything went off without a hitch with Emily at the helm. When our videographer cancelled the day before the wedding due to COVID, she was on top of it and making calls to secure a replacement. When 25% of our guest list cancelled in the days leading up to wedding (because…COVID….), she helped me rework the table arrangements, flowers, and seating chart at least 7 times. The day before and day of wedding, Emily was on top of everything. She was so professional and had an answer for anything and everything. I never had to think about anything because Emily had already thought of it and taken care of it. On your wedding days is where it is evident that she is insanely good at what she does. I cannot imagine planning a wedding without Emily. Whether I had a late night panic about something wedding related or needed to dish on some hot Real Housewives gossip, Emily was there (and still is!!). Do yourself a favor and hire her! You will have the most amazing wedding with her at your side AND you get to hang out with an incredible person. Thank you, Emily forever and ever!!

I'll admit I was skeptical on hiring a wedding planner, but am so glad we did! Emily took the stress out of the wedding planning process and made it fun. I really appreciated her responsiveness and attention to detail. She went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful wedding and I can't recommend her enough! Emily was a blessing during our wedding planning. My husband and I live in western Kentucky (closer to Bowling Green) but chose to get married in Louisville as it was more convenient for out-of-town guests. Because we don't live in Louisville, I didn't know where to start. Emily and her assistant Alyssa went above and beyond to make our day beautiful. The few hiccups we had, which weren't due to her planning, were easily resolved. I honestly don't know how couples plan a wedding without a wedding planner. I sent my ideas to Emily and she put together beautiful vision board which we worked from. The ease of planning was so simple as she would send me options for decor and what not and I would say "yes" or "no". The whole process couldn't have gone smoother, everyone was beyond impressed. Alyssa and Emily were amazing to work with! Alyssa was our day-of wedding coordindator. She was so easy to work with, listened to what our vision was, what we wanted, and made the entire wedding process from several months out to the day of so easy and seamless. I went to Emily and Alyssa for help specifically so that myself and my family did not have to stress over the little details on our wedding day. It was such a relaxing day where Alyssa handled everything from communicating with vendors weeks prior, finalizing details, executing all the details day of, and I'm sure so much more behind the scenes that I didn't even see! She was so nice and never made my husband and I feel "bossed around" by, but truly wanted us to enjoy our day. She also helped provide vendor recommendations throughout the planning process and lead me to the best vendor team I could have asked for! I would 1000% recommend using Emily Ventura Designs. My husband and I hired Emily for the month of coordination and she was amazing!! She helped us organized all of our vendors, contracts, timelines etc. and took so much stress out of planning for the day. She took the time to visit our venue and come to a food tasting with us even though it was 2+ hour drive and was incredibly kind and comforting in the process of planning. Emily and Alyssa were one of the best parts of our wedding! Emily took care of all of the little details that are such a big deal so we didn’t have to worry about them. She was always ready to answer any questions and was happy to give opinions when I really needed one. Not only did she help so much before and on the day of our wedding, but she helped us through postponing our wedding during Covid as well. With such a difficult decision that we were faced with, it was overwhelming to think of having to replan an entire new date with our vendors. She went above and beyond and communicated with all of our vendors to find a new date and ensured it’d still be exactly what we wanted. It also helps that she has very good taste! If you haven’t hired Emily.. go ahead and do so! I would have been lost throughout wedding planning without her! I have the hardest time making decisions and I trusted Emily to help me make those tough decisions. She helped me and my fiance bring our wedding vision to life ! She knows the best vendors to work with and has the best fresh ideas. We were originally supposed to have our wedding in 2020 and she made moving our entire wedding seem so simple. Wow! There aren't enough kind things I can say about our experience working with Emily. She was able to take an idea I had and create it into the dream wedding I had always wanted. We cannot give enough praise to Emily at Emily Ventura Designs. Emily is an absolute gem and is someone that, after this process, we consider to be a friend. PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT is the wedding planning phase of the year, and Emily has not missed a beat. We originally hired Emily as a month-of coordinator for our 250 person wedding in Indianapolis in June 2020. Then COVID hit, and our wedding planning was turned upside down. From the moment that we started to discuss the idea of postponing, not only was Emily there to support any planning decisions, but she was also our support system. Through daily phone calls and text messages, Emily was there to talk things out, brainstorm ideas, and act as an ear for our vent sessions. At the beginning of the pandemic, everything was unpredictable. Not only was our planning on a roller coaster ride, so were our emotions. From communicating with our venue, to helping us lock down a new florist in less than a week, Emily was there to help us through the process. We had settled on postponing to mid-October, as we were optimistic for what the future had in store. Then we decided to PIVOT again, and made the decision to plan an elopement with our parents and siblings in 10 days, postponing the larger wedding to September 2021. From the moment we made this decision, Emily was instrumental in pulling off the planning on such short notice. We were back to our daily phone calls and texts, as Emily wanted to ensure that she would make anything that we wanted for that day to happen. She was flexible, supportive, and even helped secure last-minute catering and tent rentals. Emily is an absolute gem, and is the planner that you need by your side throughout your wedding planning journey. Not only is Emily professional, organized, detail-oriented, and thoughtful, but she has all the ideas to help make your day special for you, your partner, and your guests.

WOW! Emily was such a joy to work with. Her talent and connections in Indy and beyond are unmatched. She is talented, creative, direct, and flexible. As we transformed our pre-COVID ballroom reception into a brunch at our home she took everything in stride and kept our vision at the forefront of all planning. She had to frequently remind me to "not worry about that!" because she was taking care of absolutely everything. One of the reviews that led me to choose her as my wedding planner said "I wish I could have Emily with me at every major life event" and now I see why! Emily thinks of absolutely everything and then continues to go above and beyond. She knows the wedding industry inside and out, is prompt about timelines and deadlines, and took all the stress off me and my fiance while still keeping us informed and part of the process with all the fun stuff! Emily and her team have been truly amazing to work with. Total lifesavers! We were set to get married 9/26/20 with over 150 guests, but COVID had other plans. When we made the decision to postpone our large celebration and do a backyard wedding on our original date instead, Emily was with us 100%. She made the difficult (and sad at the time) decision so easy to act on and we went to work planning a more intimate elopement. Our backyard ceremony and dinner was BEYOND what I could have hoped for. Emily took our vague vision and brought it to life in such a beautiful way. It was honestly magical. On the day of, her associates Elena and Megan were there to help us. Despite not doing any sort of rehearsal the day before, the day went so smoothly and was completely stress free. Elena and Megan were such a pleasure to work with on the day and we could not have had better people around us. Prior to rescheduling, I was already SO thankful for Emily helping me plan a wedding in Indy while we were residing out of state. Emily and her support staff were superb from start to finish and were exemplary in all possible categories. I was referred to Emily from a friend, and after reviewing the contract, I could tell she and her business was very professional and well-priced to start. I was very underprepared and was getting married within a year when I started working with Emily. She remained patient, knowledgeable and supportive throughout the process. She provided great recommendations for vendors, site locations, and catering options. She continued to go above and beyond with punctual communication, check-ins, and [more than] several plan changes due to COVID-19 concerns. Hiring Emily as our wedding planner was hands down the best decision my husband and I made other than deciding to get married. As someone who has a type A personality and normally the planner of all things, I thought it would be really difficult to let someone else take the reins throughout the planning process, but Emily left me with absolutely no doubts. She took care of everything! From the very beginning, when we sat down at a local restaurant and told Emily our big ideas and her taking those details and making it reality, to the more in depth planning of vendors, timelines, food, desserts, songs, etc., and of course being the go to person on our big day, she was there every step of the way. Emily was the MVP of our wedding. I am in graduate school so I knew I wasn't going to have much time/energy to plan a wedding. I gave Emily my general ideas and she created the most beautiful wedding ever. She was 10 steps ahead of any problem that ever arose and was extremely sweet and professional in every situation. I cannot recommend her enough! She even packed special snacks for me for the wedding day because I have some allergies. All our bridal party loved her so much and called her "mom" throughout the wedding weekend. I have no idea how people plan a wedding, especially a destination wedding, without a wedding planner! My husband and I knew from the moment we got engaged that we would need a wedding planner. Emily Ventura Designs is hands down the best wedding planner in Indianapolis! If you are considering getting married locally OR having a destination wedding - PLEASE consider her! I had a destination wedding in Arizona on 1/4/2020 and Emily was a VITAL part of every piece of the wedding - from finding the venue to the moment my husband and I drove away after our send off! When we met Emily for the first time, my husband and I clicked with her immediately. She really just got us! She did not have a ton of experience with destination weddings but we did not let that scare us away and we are so happy we didn't because she was an absolute ROCKSTAR. She worked hard in order to ensure we had minimal stress and a near perfect wedding day. Even though there were some snafus, Emily handled them with ease. She is kind, supportive, organized, calm, reliable, responsible, and creative. She has an eye for design like no one else I've ever met! I am very particular and have higher standards than many people do but this was no problem for Emily at all as she builds a relationship with each couple throughout the planning journey and she learned quickly how to help me to the best of her ability. Some planners resemble a sales person and treat couple's as a business transaction. We met with two other wedding planners that were like this and it was unpleasant. Talking to Emily for the first time was like reconnecting with an old friend. She will make you feel comfortable and heard from the start which is how you will know that your wedding planning journey and your wedding day are in the best hands possible. She truly cares about her couples and her priority is always the couple's vision and happiness. She will never treat you like a business deal. I am so grateful for Emily and all that she did for us! We hired Emily Ventura Designs for our wedding on November 9, 2019 and it was one of the best decisions we made! We met with Emily and her associate, Elena, a few times before the wedding at a local coffee shop. She and Elena were completely professional but also made it a fun process! They both have so much invaluable knowledge about the wedding industry and how to keep everything running smoothly. They took care of so many little things beforehand, which was super helpful - who knew how detailed wedding planning was?? (Emily did - that's why she's amazing at her job!) The day-of ran smoothly and it was so nice to have someone making sure everyone was where they needed to be, and everything was in its place. We didn't have to have a parent or someone else trying to keep things organized, all of our guests were free to enjoy the event. It was so helpful to have someone who already knew and communicated with our other vendors, and Elena kept everyone on the same page. They also helped make sure all of our gifts were in the car at the end of the night. I cannot tell you how helpful it was to have them there, our parents were also VERY grateful to have them at the helm! If you're looking for a wedding coordinator, I cannot recommend Emily and her team highly enough. Not only are they all wonderful at their job, they are wonderful people to be around, which made everything more enjoyable!

Emily is by far the BEST wedding planner you could ever dream of. She is so dedicated, creative, passionate, and an absolute joy to work with. I am not good with design or being organized, and Emily managed to create the wedding of my dreams while also making the entire process completely stress free. I can't tell you how many times my husband and I would look at each other and say "Emily is an absolute God send" during the entire planning process. Hiring Emily was the single-best decision my wife and I made throughout the entire wedding planning process. She brought our dream wedding to life, and worked within the budget that we had in mind. Where she perhaps shines brightest is during Day Of coordination. In our case, she took care of handling all vendor organization for both set up and tear down, put the finishing touches on the venue itself, had a strict timeline for the entire event, and left my wife and I feeling worry-free for the entire day. There are not enough words to express my gratitude for Emily and her amazing work. I called Emily before my husband and I had publicly announced our engagement nervous that we wouldn't be able to plan a wedding in time for a family member with a terminal illness to attend. Emily emailed me within minutes of filling out her form and then we had a call an hour later for nearly an hour. From that first call, she made me feel so comfortable and that I could trust her and her recommendations as I was in Boston for all of the wedding planning. She helped bring our vision to life, budget around the things that were most important to my husband and I and those that were not. I could not recommend Emily and her amazing services enough!

Working with Emily was a wonderful experience. She was always very nice and personable. She would gladly listen to my vision and offer creative ideas on how to achieve it! Finally, on the actual wedding day, I was able to have fun with my husband, friends, and family without having to worry about every little detail that day. Emily was simply the best! From the beginning she saved us from all the stress a wedding typically causes and made the entire wedding planning enjoyable and fun (as a wedding should be)! What can I say about Emily... so many things. From the very beginning she made this process extremely comfortable and stress free for my husband and I. She made sure that we were always on top of our checklist but still making the entire journey fun and full of love. Emily was easily the best money spent for our wedding. We shopped spring for the right wedding planner and nobody fit the bill untold we met Emily. When we first sat down with her she was so personable, relaxed, witty and truly wanted to get to know us. Emily spends time to get to know who you are and truly cares about her clients. Aside from that, she has amazing taste and makes your vision truly come to life. We had so much fun throughout the planning process and Emily literally made it stress free. We had an extremely big wrench put in our planning when we found out that there was a large convention in town the weekend of our wedding and every hotel room was booked downtown. We found this out after we have signed all of our vendor contracts. This caused a lot of stress but within 48 hours Emily had contacted all of our vendors, explained the situation, found alternative dates, and ensured we did not have to pay another dime in deposits. If we didn’t have Emily, we would have had to repay multiple deposits due to the date switch. The day of, Emily made sure everything ran smoothly and allowed us to have the time of our lives. We could not have been happier with Emily throughout the planning process. She is not just a planner, but an experience creator. Emily is THE best and if you are considering a planner, make sure it’s her. If you’re on the fence about a planner, trust me, it is worth it and Emily is your girl!

Where do I even begin? Working with Emily on our wedding was an absolute dream. As someone who is a procrastinator and overwhelmed by constant decision making, I found the perfect fit in Emily. We met with her very shortly after we were engaged, and Emily got to work on finding us the perfect venue before we even signed the contract. Can I give Emily any more that 5 stars? I booked Emily about a third of the way through my 18 month engagement. I knew that I was a type A, but didn't want to have to be that on my wedding day. I booked her for coordination services as I was okay doing most of the heavy lifting myself. Emily was professional, polite, and amazing through the whole time. Even though I technically booked month/day of services, when I had questions here and there she was there for me! She was available for text/call/email and always got back in a timely manner, something that helps during this stressful process. She took care of everything that I needed and then some on the day of. We ordered these bubbles that came all individually wrapped... it was a nightmare, but Emily and her assistant took them without question and unwrapped every single one. She was comic relief and a venting board when I needed it. I wish that I had her around for every major event in my life. Don't take a chance on the biggest day of your life... book Emily!

I am so glad I hired Emily for our wedding! I was super busy with school when I first got engaged, and I really felt like I needed help planning. There are too many amazing things to say about Emily that I don’t even know where to begin! Emily was one of our first vendors and it was one of our best planning decisions! She helped us find most of our other vendors from recommendations and they were all perfect for our day. Since we live out of state, Emily was super flexible with our communication and checked in regularly to make sure we were progressing. The few weeks before Emily coordinated with all our vendors and kept us in line with last minute details. On the day of, she was amazing (as well as her assistant)! I mean who pulls off an event painter, cake bake cake, matching invites to grooms bow ties and peonies in August - she does! She allows you to be as hands on or hands off as you wanted to be. We were unfortunately given some tough life situations during our wedding process but Emily continued on and made sure everything was perfect. We definitely allowed Emily to put her design skills to work - and let’s just say she killed it. I can’t say enough nice things about Emily she is truly wonderful and worth every dollar and then some. Not to mention the fact she saved us thousands!! We didn’t worry about a thing on our wedding day she truly handled everything with ease. I want to plan another wedding (if my husband allowed) just to have the opportunity to continue working with Emily. She is more than amazing in our book and I’m not an easy cookie! I cannot say enough amazing things about Emily. Truly it was the best gift I could have given myself. I had 0 stress the day of my wedding- things just seemed to happen!
