Ahhh I wanted to write a good post SO badly. I used their service for my wedding in 2009 (Hummer Limo) and it was not great - they went to the wrong location, and then were super l...
ate, church service was delayed, and the music didn't work. The owner felt horrible - even sent us a really nice gift and a card.
My best friend wanted to book Emperor in 2013 and I was very hesitant but they had the exact limo she wanted - I reached out to the company and they gave a refund because they said they still thought of our wedding and the mistakes that were made and felt horrible still. Everything went really really well for my friends wedding (except when the music started in the transportation it was super loud and literally hurt our ears until we figured out how to turn it down).
Low and behold - 2026 and our kids insisted we get a Hummer Limo. My first husband from 2009 had sadly passed, and I was marrying my "chapter two" and we were blending 6 kids ages 5-19. We wanted something really special so I decided it would be neat to use our original limo company since they had repeatedly apologized and my best friend had such a great experience. I purchased their services only a week before the wedding - so yes, I know it's last minute - but they never once said it was a problem. I stated I wanted the Hummer Limo and they never told me that it may not be available, or that I wasn't guaranteed the Hummer Limo. To our surprise - the Hummer Limo was NOT the limo that showed up. Also, to our surprise - I gave the exact location in the email, order form, the limo driver had our contact information - but they went to the wrong location. Luckily it was at least the correct town, so we weren't late but between that and the car being the wrong type, it was not a good start. In addition, we were not told how to turn on the entertainment - luckily we were at least told how to hook up the Bluetooth.
I drafted a reasonable but polite complaint - I was then told we could get a credit for a future service. I replied: "If you can please find the resources or information where you told me that we were not guaranteed the Hummer, that it is BYOB, that we need to insert a DVD to use the equipment, and that the GPS will only use the name of the location and not the address - than I would be happy to apologize for any complaints. However, if we were not given this information before July 19th, 2026 - we are requesting a refund." We never heard back again and this was July 30, 2026. We hired over a dozen vendors for our wedding - and sadly this was the only part of the wedding that was very disappointing.
I am writing this review to strongly warn anyone considering this company for an important event. What happened to us was not a simple mistake it was a complete breakdown of profe...
ssionalism, safety, and basic competence.
I booked a limousine for my daughter’s Sweet 16. I confirmed the reservation multiple times, made the purpose of the event clear, and emphasized that the passengers were teenagers. Despite all of that, the company sent a party bus with stripper poles a wildly inappropriate and unacceptable vehicle for a group of minors. This was a blatant breach of contract and a total disregard for the nature of the event.
The second vehicle they sent was leaking an unknown substance from the roof, dripping onto the seats and floor. Not only was this disgusting, it raised serious concerns about the safety and maintenance of their fleet. No reputable transportation company should ever send out a vehicle in that condition, let alone as a replacement for their first major failure.
Between the wrong vehicle, the inappropriate interior, and the leaking roof, this company demonstrated a shocking lack of care, oversight, and responsibility. These are not small issues these are the kinds of failures that ruin milestone events and put customers in uncomfortable, unsafe situations.
What made everything worse was their lack of urgency or accountability. A professional company would have apologized, taken ownership, and provided a real solution. Instead, we were left scrambling, embarrassed, and forced to adjust our plans on a day that should have been joyful and stress‑free.
If you are planning a wedding, prom, birthday, corporate event, or any occasion where reliability matters, I strongly recommend choosing a different company. They have shown they cannot be trusted to deliver what they promise, maintain their vehicles, or handle customer concerns with even basic professionalism.
Families deserve better. Events deserve better. Customers deserve better.
So disappointing as we had to contact them a week ahead to confirm our contract and asked to pay them then. They told us we needed to pay the driver when he came. The driver asked...
my mom to venmo/zelle in the middle of the city and we could not get it to work at the account he provided. Chase bank would not let us authorize the payment. The driver was very rude and at his next stop as we were still trying to connect with the bank, he told the whole wedding party he wasn't leaving until he got paid. My SIL finally added the app again and got it to work. Heard one of the groomsmen even tipped him which was uncalled for due to his attitude. My mom wanted to call and give a credit card over the phone but he wouldn't let us. A bad experience on our wedding day!
Terrible, made us late for our wedding! Do not hire
DO NOT USE THEM! I wish I could give them 0 stars. I gave the driver the address to my pictures and he got lost for 45 minutes. I emailed them asking to refund me the extra hour I ...
paid for. They never responded and when I called they first said that there were 2 addresses to the location. Well I gave the address to the driver specifically and everyone else got there. The next excuse was that no one told the driver he was lost even though 4 members of my bridal party had it pulled up on their phone and showed him. Then the excuse was that I waited to complain when I emailed them the day I got home from my honeymoon. Sorry I didn’t want to be upset on my honeymoon about losing picture moments AND having to pay for an extra hour of photography. Their customer service was awful and when I asked to speak to the owner who made the decision I was told “you can try but he probably won’t talk to you”. Not to mention their 30 person bus was cramped for 18 people. DO NOT USE THEM!
We used the Emperor Party Bus 36 passenger for our wedding and they were excellent! It was extremely easy to communicate with them through calls or email. They were on time to all ...
of our stops and very professional! Highly recommend!
So, I'll begin with a horror story from last year where the party bus we hired from a different company did not show up on time leaving guests stranded and ubering to wedding cerem...
ony. It was a nightmare! So, with much trepidation I looked into transportation for this year. I found Emperor in Elk Grove Village. We arranged for the party bus to pick up in downtown Chicago and drive around the city for wedding photos. Not only did they show up, they showed up early and with a driver who was dressed professionally and was courteous, patient and helpful. He was attentive to the wedding party and did an outstanding job! We were thrilled and impressed. Our sincere thanks to everyone from Nancy in the office, to our driver Sabino. A job well done! Thank you all! :)
I've been looking for some quotes for my wedding which was suppose to happen in January but we pushed it back until June due to Covid and the quote I received from Emperor at the t...
ime for their 36 passenger party bus "Tiffany" Edition which is their biggest bus is down below. A couple months go by I decided to get quoted again because it's in the summer now and they switched the "Tiffany" from a 36 passenger to a 40 passenger, which cause a bigger price jump because of the capacity not because of the season. You can also see they switched the 34 passenger Venice to a 36 passenger bus which also increased the price. I didn't know party buses magically get bigger over time. So in reality you are paying for a 40 passenger party bus but getting a 36 passenger party bus while the difference being about $200-$300. If you ask me that is really shady business and basically a scam. I also went to their website to see if they even have a 40 passenger bus and first thing you see in bold lettering is "Tiffany 36 passenger party bus" and "Venice 34 passenger party bus" and I made sure to get the most recent one, you can see on the top left the date and time, I wouldn't be surprised if these scammers go on their website to try and change it . On top of all this I emailed them back asking what's with the change, no response. I decide to call them later and try to figure out why, they ended the call on me. I'm not one to post negative reviews but this is just awful and the people running this business are scammers and shady people. They can't own up to the fact they got caught scamming and I'm curious how many people they scammed out of more money than they actually need to spend. It's safe to say I will not choose them and go with anyone else besides them. If their quote process is like this then I can't even imagine what their service is actually like and it begs the question, did they buy all these reviews because no way they are 4.5 stars .
-The knot is not letting me post pictures, look at my google review for pictures.
Do not use this company! They did not show up for our wedding! They left our bridal party of 24 people with no transportation and ruined our day with barely even giving an apology!...

Terrible customer service, unreliable, and unprofessional. I booked a party bus for my wedding through Avital Limousine who I have used in the past and really liked. Due to a compa...
ny split, my contract was transferred to Emperor Limo. When this occurred, I was assured by Emperor Limo that they use the same fleet as Avital and that I would receive the same vehicle and quality of service that I had originally booked. That however, was not the case. I paid for a party bus that would comfortably fit 30 passengers but the vehicle that Emperor provided did not even fit the 22 individuals that were with me. On top of that, the A/C on the bus did not work, there were holes in the ceiling, and there were no beverages in the coolers like we were guaranteed. The driver, Jose Morales, was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt instead of a pressed suit, did not get out to help any of us on the bus, and was extremely rude. When we arrived to our first stop, the driver would not let any of us off the bus until we paid him the full amount. I tried to explain to him that I did not have cash on me and that the payment was at the final destination but he refused let any of us go until we handed him money.
I called Emperor the next day to complain about the terrible service that we received and spoke with Nancy and the owner Max. Both refused to listen to my complaints and told me that all of my claims were not valid. After persistently making multiple calls, the owner finally offered us a $100 refund which is still not enough to compensate for all of the issues that we experienced. The worst part is that they require all payments in cash so that you cannot contest the charges. Save yourself the headache and disappointment and book with a different limo company.
Used this company this month for our wedding, they were over an hour late and we were late to our own wedding. The bus driver repeatedly told me he was on his way to pick us up and...
he drove almost 5 miles in the wrong direction claiming he was at the correct location. I would never ever recommend this company to anyone, especially for a wedding, look somewhere else before you call them! The worst!
I used this service for my wedding last month. Horrible experience and would strongly recommend to avoid for any important event. I requested a hummer limousine on the day of my we...
dding and instead, received one of their generic party buses. I was not informed of this significant change ahead of time. One of their employees called me the day before the wedding to confirm details of the itinerary, she confirmed that I would be getting the requested vehicle for tomorrow. I spoke with the owner regarding this mix-up. He told me that the requested vehicle "broke down" the day before, so they "upgraded" me to a party bus instead. Very convenient excuse. There was no mention of this when I spoke to their employee that day. Their contract mentions they can swap out vehicles in the event of a scheduling conflict or mechanical issues. Meaning, on the day of your wedding, you will actually have no idea on what vehicle will actually arrive. After spending a substantial amount of money, you would hope that any vendor or company would provide a notice or an update to any major changes agreed upon in the contract. That is common courtesy. This company does not practice this way, does not respect their clients, and are out to get your money. There are plenty of other companies in the Chicagoland area that provide the same service, and I would highly encourage others to look for a more reputable business. The number of negative reviews, particularly 1-star, for this company should deter others from ever using them.
Alison G., best service I’ve ever used! Their guarantee is to not be 15 minutes late and during a pandemic took us to where we wanted to take pictures. Even found a place for us to...
use a bathroom when we were driving around. Got us back perfectly on time too. Best service ever!
We booked Emperor for my bachelorette party & for our wedding.
For my bachelorette party, everything was amazing! We walked to the bus once, & the driver, Marvin, told us not to ...
do that - just call him & he will come to us. He helped us up, he decorated, he was awesome. I was so excited to use them on my wedding day because of the great service!
Now, my wedding day was 11/7. The driver showed up & we had to walk a block to the bus.. he said he couldn't pull down the drive (semi's and school busses do all of the time), he sat there while all of us ladies were getting into the bus (my mom had to ask him to help me, as I was clearly struggling with my dress), the air did not work (he said this time of year it doesn't?), after the ceremony, there was no red carpet, decorations, or champagne toast (as stated in our contract - weather permitting - uh it was freaking beautiful out). My mother also asked for ice - which for only weddings they are supposed to have - the driver goes "it's right there. You know I wasn't even supposed to have ice but I stopped and got it." And points to the cooler on the ground without moving. He wanted my mother to bend down to the ground in her dress to grab ice.
Before I came to right this review, I called and spoke with Nancy on Tuesday around 3pm (today is Saturday). She replied that she didn't know what to say about how terrible our experience was. She replied that he should have been able to fit down the driveway to pick us up because the driver has a CDL & was NOT new, and that she doesn't understand why none of the extras were done. The only thing she did say was that at this time of the year, the air is disconnected. If I knew that, I wouldn't have booked them for my wedding. Nancy told me that she would be contacting the driver & the owner & then would get right back to me. Still nothing.
I hate writing reviews like this, but I am so disgusted with how we were treated on our wedding day - I felt like more of a bride on the bachelorette day than my wedding day, and even more disgusted with how this is being handled.
I can not believe I am about to write this, but here goes. I booked quickly with this company and should have read reviews. During our photos before our wedding I got a text that t...
he driver would be ten minutes late, absolutely no problem with that. What I do have a problem with is that driver showing up to the wedding venue without my guests, he went to the wrong place first. When my soon to be husband and I go to talk to him he states no one told him he had to go to the hotel beforehand, first strike on the management. The driver then flies off to pick up our family and friends who are super concerned they are going to miss our wedding in 25 minutes, so we obviously decide to push it back until they all arrive. The driver gets to the hotel and boards our guests, starts to move then pulls over on the road and demands payment before he goes any further.... he states his boss is pressuring him to take cash before he moves on. Meanwhile my friends and family even more terrified that they are being held hostage start scrounging any cash they have and calling anyone who is already at the wedding venue. My maid of honor and groom are now on the phone telling him we are the ones with the cash and to get them there now so we can walk down the aisle. After ten minutes of arguing he moves the bus. At arrival he is still arguing with the groom and the wedding party. The driver who apologized a million times for he was just following his managers guidance, finally moved the bus and waited for us to have our ceremony then give him payment. As this was an outdoor wedding and we were losing daylight. He did wait the entire night and was friendly on the way home but management should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for putting their employees and customers in that position. After four days of not getting a response because the owner wasn’t in, I finally call after both Nancy and Ashley dodge my calls and guess who answer? The owner Max....he was so rude and couldn’t even manage an apology, he made excuses that somehow this was our fault. So unprofessional and after reading their reviews on Yelp and Google, it looks like we weren’t their only victims.
I have booked with Emperor several times before booking a party bus with them for the big day.

idal party and I.
The bus currently can not have ice available for us due to covid but they still made us aware so that we can prepare accordingly.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning any event in the area.
The planning and coordinating was beyond easy! The special touches with champagne, beer, carpet entrance, and unlimited stops, is what really sets this company apart from the rest!...
The bus was spacious enough for a bridal party of 14, for dancing and celebrating! The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of some day of mishaps. A suggestion is to get a secondary number to contact in case the bride is not responding. It was a little added frustration to the morning and we were a bit behind schedule due these mishaps, but at the end of the day things went well.
Definitely recommend, would use again in a heartbeat. Huge selection of party busses. We used one for our wedding in November 2019 and couldn't have been happier with the entire pr...

Emperor Limousine was amazing in every regard! From figuring out where to park when our "Moving Tow Signs" did not get neighbors to move their cars; to cleaning up water puddles on...
the floor of the limo for us (it was raining and one of the soft coolers started leaking - this resulted in some of the BM's dresses getting soaked) and keeping the floor dry for the remainder of the ride; to getting us to all of our photo destinations safe and sound (and figuring out parking at ALL of the Chicago Landmarks we went to); to rolling out the just married sign, red carpet and champagne at our Venue for a photo op! They were on time, very polite and professional. The limo bus was clean, in working order (fireplace, temperature, tv and audio), comfy and a fun time all around. Our bridal party was in awe of how nice it was and we all had such a fun time! We are so happy we went with this company and we highly recommend them for future services!

he was very kind and answered all of our questions. They even let us come in and see the whole fleet to personally pick our bus. Their party buses are amazing, clean, and updated. The wedding party had an absolute blast in the bus. The service could not have been better. The one very minor criticism, is they provided *red* champagne for our wedding package, which I couldn't enjoy because I was in a bumpy bus in a white dress. The driver the day of was professional, kind, dressed for the occasion, and a great driver navigating downtown Chicago with many stops. He helped me in and out of the bus at every stop, and was great even with our last minute changes. The bus was on time and prepared for our wedding. We will definitely be using them again!

quickly figured out how to navigate the park where we took pictures because the location was hard to find. Great sound system, clean bus, #13 dream was top notch.
You can’t beat the price! I also love that they stock the bar with drinks and I love that they have the red carpet out for your first toast as Mr. and Mrs!
The bus was very early and ready for the passengers. Our driver was Martin and he was AMAZING. The bus was clean and stocked. We had a wonderful time. Everything went perfectly.

He was so polite and accommodating! He went above and beyond his responsibilities. The limo inside and outside looked amazing and was very clean! We had so much fun and everybody loved it ! They also provided plenty of drinks for our group! Will recommend to everyone and use them for all future events!

They had a good system so we could play our own music also (I've had a bus before where all we had was the radio). I would definitely choose this company again for an event!

As a type-A bride, it was really re-assuring to have them double and triple check. Frank, our driver, was really timely and super accommodating on the day of the wedding. He was really nice even as our pictures were taking longer than expected and traffic was more than expected. It was so fun and definitely a great deal! Thanks Emperor Limousine!

but the bus driver kept his composure the whole entire time! He got us to our destination safely and got the bus fixed afterwards instead of making a scene about it. They are very affordable and the busses look AWESOME!! The staff at the office are so nice and respond to emails almost immediately as well!
Driver showed up early, we had to change our route with pick up and drop off's due to weather. Jesus was accomodating and very nice, and a great driver. Thank you!
My fiance and I visited Emperor this past Saturday morning. Maggie and the team went above and beyond to help us out! We were able to tour all of the limos and buses, and we found ...
one that we love and booked it for our wedding in August 2017.
I love that although we have to pay a minimum 5 hours, we do get unlimited stops. Since we're doing a first look before the ceremony, they will be helping get our bridal party to and from the first look places before we head to the chapel.
We're very much looking forward to working with them!
Emperor had a bunch of limos and buses to choose from. Before signing a contract, I was escorted on about 12 different buses to look at a variety of their options.

er. The booking process was easy, they were able to match a competitors price and kept in great communication throughout. I had a contract right away and they called to make sure we were clear on the schedule before the wedding day. The bus was on time (early even) and the driver was very nice and set up our red carpet beautifully. Plus now we have so many cool pictures of our wedding party having fun on the bus!

ommend Emperor!
I cannot say enough how glad I am with choosing Emperor limousine for my wedding day transportation. Everything was easy from beginning to end. The booking process was very easy. ...
We were able to view the inside of all of the vehicles before selecting our bus. Their price was one of the lowest that I found for all day service however they also provided a referral discount and threw in a bottle of champagne. The limo bus that we selected was a newer vehicle and was just breathtakingly clean and modern. The video and radio equipment paired with our Bluetooth and worked wonderfully. Our driver was prompt for all pickups - kind, polite, and safe. We had so much fun inside that bus and made memories I will never forget!
