derful! We draped one wall with colored fabric and had some interesting shades of light on that. We did custom lighting (vintage lights) over the dance floor, which truly impressed the guests. We just did a simple photobooth and everyone loved the props and humorous pics. They made a scrapbook as guests were doing the pics so the could also sign the scrapbook with the picture. Zach custom-designed the photobooth template so it matched perfectly with our color scheme and wedding theme. He did a terrific job at getting the audience involved. I told him specifically early on that I didn’t think many of my guests would dance, except perhaps the children. I was wrong—all of my guests were dancing, including my 92 year-old grandmother with her walker and my 94 year-old great aunt, and 89 year-old niece. Pretty impressive for them as well as for the DJ!

or! He was great keeping the wedding flowing and can really get the vibe of the guest! If you do not use him you are missing out!

was not a moment when the dance floor was empty. They also provided the photobooth and did such a great job keeping everything together. I just want to thank them again for making our day so perfect. We were recommend them fom our venue and we would be sure to recommend them to anyone who wants to make sure their guests have the BEST time.

all that they went out of their way for the us to make sure the timing of the evening was just right and just the way we wanted. No ordinary DJ does that! ch was the exact experience my husband and I were trying to create. Our friends and family kept coming up to use saying it was the best time they had ever experienced at a wedding. I did NOT want traditional wedding music--no September, YMCA, Group Dances etc. as I knew most of my guests would not either…I wanted the music to stay current, fresh, and fun with a few solid throwbacks..he executed them solidly. He definitely fulfilled our needs. He is a great entertainer! Highly recommended.

ur booth but the month before we went to a friends wedding who had DIY'd her booth and it was a flop, so we last minute called and crossed our fingers to see if Duet was open since w3e had experienced them at a friends reception a few months earlier and YES! It was a success, everyone had fun and it saved me from having to MAKE 150 party favors that I knew guests might or might not even WANT! MAKE THE CALL!

t we were looking for in not finding "just a DJ"...Zach was our DJ and what a great choice he was! He was awesome. He got the all of our guests dancing...and I mean dancing until the last song and he didn't play any of the "typical" wedding songs you hear at every single wedding which was awesome. I do not think they dance floor was every empty and everyone said it was an amazing party and how thankful they were we invited them(bonus!). Zach was very flexible in the meeting times at his office and he even came to our venue, it was such a great change from a few other "DJ" companies who really just called us over and over and tried really hard to just get us to book over the phone...He was very respectful to us, our parents the bridal party and guests. We are so happy with our choice and would highly recommend Zach and his company!

t was an amazing success! Jesse, our DJ, was great! We sat down with Jesse a few months before our wedding. He listened carefully to our ideas and patiently answered any questions we had. All the discussion helped put me at ease, and there was honestly nothing to be worried about because our reception was a blast. There was an online planning tool that was suggested, I wasn't too impressed with the site, but it was helpful for thinking through the reception timeline and special music. Jesse kept the dance floor packed from the first open dance until the last, even while the groom and I snuck out for sunset pictures. He took my demands seriously, played all our "must play" songs and was energetic without being cheesy. During dinner I had requested mostly Frank Sinatra type music, and a few songs into our salad course "Just the Two of Us" began to play. My husband and I quietly asked our wedding coordinator to remind Jesse of our preferences and after that we had no other mistakes! He was so easy to work with and did a great job of being the emcee without taking over the mic. I would highly recommend Jesse from DJ Express. He was on time and very professional. DJ Express can be very busy, and is a small company so be patient with communication. Also, request to meet your DJ before hand, since there are several that work for them and often times they go by different names depending on who you talk to. I was confused at first, but once I met Jesse, I was not longer worried. I would also recommend doing the Photo Booth! It was worth such a nominal fee. They provided a photo album, and included a second copy of all the photos taken in the booth along with messages from our guests. It was a wonderful keepsake from our wedding.

couple issues with the flow of events compared to what my guests were ready to do, but I think most of this came from our lack of meetings and the last minute absentee of his helper. I think the price reflected exactly what we got. He gave us discounts to match other vendor's prices for a Friday, and threw in a couple features for free. Overall, the wedding went off well, and I never had to worry about him not having the songs we requested, so overall it wasn't a bad job at all.

ance) and I agreed that this was a big priority. We also agreed that we would NOT be the couple that did the dreaded IPOD WEDDING! (YIKES!!) so our search was on! We met a few companies at a wedding show, one was SUPER annoying and kept calling and bugging us to book with them for a "wedding show special" well months later when we thought about using them that SAME wedding show special was still around (hahahaha) so ladies, when you hear "wedding show special" or "book now special" it means, hey we raised our rates when you called and now are going to suck you in with a lower price to get you to book now.... Anyway! We had an amazing photographer who asked who our DJ was, when we told her that we were still looking she said "Call this guy"(Zach Downing)...we were both in school so when we were back during summer break we setup a meeting with him. THE MEETING! When I think "meeting" I think conference room, sales pitches and boring" well we met Zach at his Tulsa office (which is FREAKING AWESOME) its very Ikea, modern and comfortable! We actually got to sip a glass of champange and have a beer as we laughed, talked, told wedding horror stories as he listened to us! I think he could tell we were really scared to get a bad DJ and after that meeting we knew we found our DJ!.... THE PARTY! So the party was awesome..I wish I could think of another word to decribe it but ya...it rocked...my family, friends, even our catering company staff people were dancing! I love my photos, love the memories, I didn't have to worry about cheesy songs or skits, Zach made the night with elegance, flow, an awesome mix of music (he has this way of mixing music that is just ...ya very cool! So if you are looking for a DJ there are A TON of them all over Tulsa, Oklahoma whereever you are, but if you want a DJ, Emcee and someone who won't embarass you CALL ZACH, Meet with him and invest in this part of the reception, I know its easy to fall into the low price trap but move some money around, take it from a real bride..this is one thing you WANT to double up your budget on!!!!

If you hire another DJ you might have fun, but with Zach everyone will enjoy the night, remember how much fun it was and also talk about it(as our guests still are!)...

ns were. We had been to some weddings over the last year and saw some really "cheesy" DJ's who threw out all the typical "DJ" craziness to try to get people to "dance". When the first thing he said was "I am not a cheesy DJ" we were pretty much hooked! During the planning he helped us think about things that really, I think made the party. From the placement of the dancefloor in relation to the guests, to where we would come in from in order to help the photographer get the best photos as well as the guests be able to see us the best, to the unique and never before heard at a party music! (the music was AWESOME)...he truly was worth the price AND MORE! If you are looking for music, a DJ there are a TON of cookie cutter DJ's as we had seen at other weddings who did an "okay job" and people danced but what we wanted was A PARTY..no wait THE PARTY and that is what we got. His mix of music for all ages and not just regular music, his remixes were AWESOME not crazy but just right to keep the party going, our photographer even got on the dance floor and broke it down! In the end, you can have a party or you can have a ONCE IN A LIFETIME PARTY! We invested heavily in Zach and he did not dissappoint, I would ask him to help no questions asked if I had to do it all over again and pay him DOUBLE what he charged us! My one suggestion if you are engaged DO NOT ASSUME ALL "DJ's" ARE THE SAME! They are NOT...just like your cake, sample who you will be working with, meet with them, that was the one biggest decision that we made was to invest our time with Zach before we booked and are so glad we did.

We knew from the start that we wanted a DJ who would play good music and play it well, not come in with flashing lights, yelling for our guests to get out of their seats. He said it best- he's a DJ that MCs, not an MC who DJs. Zach exceeded our expectations. Our dance floor was packed the entire night. I loved that he was discreet and we didn't have to answer any questions, think about whats next etc, he took care of it all. He was responsive and accommodating whenever we needed to set up a meeting or just ask a question. I really cannot say enough good words about Zach and am happy to say that we are now friends! I would 100% use Zach Downing Entertainment again and will absolutely recommend them to others!! If you go another direction THINK about the BIG picture, this guy is so much more than JUST A DJ!!

ell, I have to tell you that Zach went above and beyond to make sure we had an AMAZING night with absolutely NO FLAWS! Throughout our extensive planning sessions we were able to craft the perfect evening out of lots of complicated details. Seeing as my ceremony and reception were spaced out across basically 3 different large areas it was a chore keeping the party going and the dance floor hopping. It turned out better than I expected ad I think that was due to zach's ability to mold gthe room to what I wanted through busic choices and big event timing (cake cutting, food line open, bouquet toss, etc.). The reason we chose Zach was because of his Emcee capabilities. You can tell when you talk to him in person that he has experience in front of crowds and is comfortable in a speaking capacity. Not only that, but he has this ability to judge a crowd and see what will keep the night smooth. My wedding was wonderful and I owe a large part of that to how smooth and seamless the whole evening went and a big part of that was because of Zach Downing. THANK YOU!!!
