A HUGE thank you to Darren and his team at Encore Audio Event Services! Their work on my wedding was absolutely stunning. From the start, Darren made me feel completely comfortable...
—I trusted him right away to create the perfect sound and lighting to match the energy and vibe I envisioned.
His passion and professionalism are unmatched. The lighting completely transformed the space, and the sound was flawless all night. Darren truly elevated the entire experience and gave us a celebration that felt magical.
If you’re looking for a team that delivers beyond expectations, look no further. I couldn’t recommend Encore Audio more highly!
Darren from Encore Audio came highly recommended by our wedding venue and he did not disappoint! He had a tailored proposal for our venue (Stonover Farm) so we could select what au...
dio and lighting services we would like, and we had pictures of the final product in the space so we could visualize it all. Darren went above and beyond for us, including adding a lighting fixture the week-of. The sound for our rehearsal dinner and ceremony was great, and we loved how he transformed Stonover Farm's event barn with our florist to make for a stunning wedding reception. We'd work with Darren again in a heartbeat!
Darren was the secret sauce we didn’t know we needed until he was there!! We were blown away by the way Darren transformed our dance floor and made our wedding feel immediately mor...
e welcoming, and intimate. He crushed the dance floor timing and was such a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend working with Darren to amplify your special event!

nnect our phones to play music when we wanted to do that, he ensured that the mic setup for all events would allow every guest to hear every word of the ceremony and speeches. Overall, he went above and beyond to make sure that everything was perfect - I would recommend him time and time again!

for our outdoor ceremony and barn reception. The team truly brought our vision to life and made it even more beautiful than we could have dreamed! We received a ton of compliments on the audio for our ceremony too! We had some guests attend who are music industry experts, and they shared that it was the best audio they've experienced at a wedding!
Darren, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It was an honor to work with you! And thanks for holding my hand through the process :)
My husband and I worked with Darren from Encore Audio for our November microwedding and had such a wonderful experience. I am a professional planner and have worked with Darren in...
that capacity – and my experience as a bride was just as wonderful. Darren provided audio (ceremony sound and audio for our playlists) and lighting for our wedding as well as helped us host our family and friends for a virtual ceremony via zoom. We had to reduce our wedding from 200+ to 20 due to the pandemic, and so it was important to us to be able to invite everyone there virtually as we held our ceremony. Darren was attentive to what we wanted and helped us problem solve how to best execute lighting and audio in our venue. The virtual ceremony turned out amazing – like our family and friends still say how incredible it was and the fact that it went off without a hitch. I can’t recommend Encore Audio enough and highly recommend working with them on your next event!
We used Encore Audio to provide string lighting in the tent at Hancock Shaker Village. Both Darren and Rebecca were very professional, reliable, and very easy to communicate with. ...
The company was able to answer all our questions through email (which is what we preferred) and we had zero issues with them. Did I mention the lighting design they did was amazing?! Awesome group of people to work with!
Darren was an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only was he easy to communicate with from the start, he worked with me to remain within my budget. He spent hours carefully sett...
ing up the lighting in our tent, even taking extra time to rearrange existing lighting to decrease risk of fire. The lighting came out absolutely beautiful and added an extra dimension to our tent. I can't thank Encore enough!
We used Encore Audio to provide string lighting in a tent that we’d rented for our wedding. They proved to be a very professional and reliable company to work with. All communicati...
ons were handled in a very prompt and friendly manner, Darren & Rebecca were able to answer all our questions, appropriately tend to our needs, and coordinate with our other providers. When unexpected issues arose, they went out of their way to go the extra length to help resolve them. Great group of people to work with!

so much care. On the day of, they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was a huge success. We recommend them without reservation, for Weddings or any event. Thank you Encore and Darren, you're the absolute best!

y last minute because we had changed our ceremony spot and everything turned out perfect. He even brought extra lighting to illuminate some darker areas on the property for the evening. Darren is wonderful and I would highly recommend him to anyone!
Darren put up beautiful bistro lighting for our wedding at Bloom Meadows in Williamstown, and it was absolutely magical!!!! He did the lighting outdoors around the patio where cock...
tails were held and inside for the reception. Both looked incredible!! His prices are very fair, and he even sent me a picture of the lighting installation at Bloom Meadows the day before our wedding!!

sure everything was set up properly. When there was an issue with our lighting from the tent company, he stepped in and took care of it. Darren was very easy to work with and we are grateful to have had the chance to work with him.

r for us for our barn venue, among a variety of other things. Darren is creative, accommodating and thoughtful, and provided great ideas for our venue! He also provided speakers for a portion of our venue that were easy to use and worked well. I would definitely recommend Darren and Encore for both lighting and audio!
We worked with Darren, at Encore Audio, on every aspect of our wedding: he provided the mic and sound hook-up for our ceremony, speaker set-up for our cocktail hour, and lighting f...
or the dance floor. (He would have done reception sound as well, but our band brought its own sound engineers.) We can't speak highly enough about his professionalism, responsiveness, transparency re: pricing, and willingness to go the extra mile. The lights were a last-minute (within the month) add-on. Not only was Darren happy to take on that added responsibility, but he visited the venue with the site coordinator (a visit that he organized himself), purchased a new lighting system so that he'd be able to control light color, intensity, and movement wirelessly for us, and even sent us photos and videos of that new system in action. During the dancing, Darren controlled the lights so that they responded to the music, and the tone that that set (more mellow early on, more club-like later) played a huge role in making the night so fun. The mics, speakers, and sound hook-ups that he provided and set up were unobtrusive and worked perfectly, and we greatly appreciated his patience and thoroughness in explaining the technology. We're so happy to have found him!
Darren way exceeded not only our expectations, but what we had asked of him. He is very talented and professional, and all vendors in the area recommended him. I can see why. He no...
t only does an impeccable job, but more than anything, he really cares about the quality of his work and the event in general. He did everything he could to make our party a success, including a lot of things he really didn't have to. I can't say enough how grateful we are for all the effort and love he put into our Wedding, and could not even think of doing an event with anyone else but Darren and Encore Audio in the future. (By the way the DJ at our Wedding said the same). Thank you!
Darren O'Brien was on top of things. He created an open, helpful dialogue between my singer, pianist, me and himself. With Darren's conscientious attention to all sound issues, m...
y ceremony went off without a hitch. The guests heard everything. In the weeks leading up to the big day, told me not to worry about anything, that he would handle everything. And he did. When you have someone like Darren on your team, you breathe easy. I highly recommend Encore Audio.
We cannot endorse Encore Audio enough! Working with outside vendors can be a risk if they do not share your standards- but that is never the case with Darren and his staff! They ar...
e consistently a pleasure and a talent to work with. We recommend him to all of the couples we work with!
Darren did the sound for our ceremony and the three different incarnations of live music we had at our wedding at Sheep Hill in Williamstown. Of all the people involved in our wedd...
ing, Darren was easily the MVP. He was calm, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process and he proved to be an integral part of what made our wedding day the best day of our lives. The site presented some logistical challenges, including needing a battery powered PA on a windy hillside and setting up an 8-piece band in a tight space between two barns. Darren met with us at the site ahead of time and helped us brainstorm a Plan B in case of rain, he communicated with our coordinator and despite the challenge of pulling off live sound in 4 different locations over the course of the night, he really made it easy for us. The bottom line is that everything sounded amazing, I could not believe how good the band sounded and neither could our guests. We put a lot of effort into writing our vows and we hand-picked our own all-star group for the band, it was important to us that our guests could hear and feel what we had to say. Darren delivered and exceeded all of our expectations. It's clear that this is more than just a job to him, he's a consummate professional who has invested a great deal of time and resources into perfecting his craft. On top of all that, he's got a lot of heart and we felt the whole time that he wanted our wedding to be a success just as much as we did. What more could you ask for?
I hired Darren and Encore Audio to provide the audio for my daughter's outdoor wedding ceremony at Cricket Creek Farm in Williamstown. We had contacted several other companies, and...
his price was comparable to others. I chose Darren because he responded so quickly, was very professional, detailed and organized, and talked to me on the phone in addition to sending emails. He also sent photos of the microphones, speakers, etc. so we would know in advance what they look like (size ,etc.)
The audio was perfect the day of the wedding. I have been to some outdoor ceremonies where is was difficult to hear the music and vows, but we didn't have any such problems. Darren set up everything and was there through the entire ceremony, instead of sending someone else.
He was very punctual, friendly, and easy to work with, and I wholeheartedly recommend Darren and Encore Audio.
Darren did all of the audio for our wedding and welcome dinner/reception. He was a great partner throughout the whole process. We had multiple phone calls leading up to the day and...
he always made time to answer any questions we had. He also arrived early the day before the wedding to walk us through all the different equipment that was going to be used. We had to make a last minute change from an outdoor to indoor ceremony due to weather and Darren was extremely helpful in making this feel like a seamless process.
His partner Chris was our DJ and also did a fabulous job. Like the other reviews, we can't say enough positive things! We would definitely recommend Darren and Encore Audio for any event.
Darren did all the sound and lighting for our wedding at Mass MoCA. I can not say enough good things about him and his company. He met with us several times and started to become m...
ore of a friend than a vendor! The attention to detail was amazing and he took our ideas and built upon them to put together something great. We had not worries at all that the sound and lighting would be perfect in all the museum spaces we used and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend Darren to anyone!
As a professional wedding planner, I know a great vendor when I work with one. I recently had the pleasure of working with Darren on a wedding at MassMOCA. The clients were set o...
n having 100% control of their music and thus wanted to use an itunes playlist and MC instead of a professional DJ. I admit, I had my concerns. However, once I met Darren and realized that he would be handling all of the technology arrangements, I was relieved. Darren attended all of our venue walkthroughs in order to develop a complete set up plan for every space. On wedding day, he took a short load in time and a complicated set up and made everything work. He even took the lead with the MC, training him on the use of the equipment and prepping him for his job. In addition to all of the sound technology, Darren provided dramatic lighting that really brought the event design to life. Darren had a tough job but he and his team did it with professionalism and total competence. I highly recommend Encore and can't wait to work with them again in the future.
There are not enough positive things to say about Darren and his bandmates!! My husband and I were looking for a band to perform at our outdoor wedding in October 2015 and when we ...
heard Darren and Matt's acoustic music we loved their sound. We were not looking for a typical "wedding band" but rather a band that would play music that both my husband and I listen to, along with all of the guests. They were amazing! Darren and Matt performed during our ceremony and during cocktail hour and then two other band members joined for the reception. They even took the time to learn my husband and I's first dance song and it was beautiful. Darren was easy to get in contact with and even met with us a couple of times prior to the wedding to go over details. The way all the sound was set up was perfect. Highly, highly recommend!!
I have worked with Darren on two events and both of them were not the easiest one. The first one was at the wedding where he amplified the ceremony at the lake but two minutes befo...
re the big moment it started to pour rain. We had to move the ceremony to a different location and Darren did a great job moving and connecting everything in an express time. The reception was challenging one too as the water started to pour into the tent. He did an excellent job securing everything and making sure the whole event went without any hiccups .
The second event we worked together was at the farm in the middle of nowhere in the hottest day of the summer. He installed his beautiful bistro lights right in between and above tables. The end product was truly beautiful! That outdoor lighting made our event truly magical and special. Everyone admired the installation of the lights.
Darren is very professional and detailed oriented. I would highly recommend him!
We had an outdoor wedding and naturally, needed some sort of audio set up for our guests to hear the ceremony. I found Encore Audio online and emailed them immediately for a quote....
I spoke with Darren, who quickly gave me a quote and equipment recommendations. The price point was right in line with what I expected and the equipment was top of the line. High quality directional microphones and a silent generator were included along with the speakers. Darren was very responsive, which is huge when planning a wedding. He worked with me to ensure our play list and sound cues were backed up 3x (in case of unexpected circumstances). He was also there the day of, tweaking the sound wirelessly through an Ipad to ensure everyone could hear. It was a pleasure working with Darren and Encore Audio.
Audio was perfect, especially during the ceremony - it seems as though there are always issues with the audio at wedding ceremonies I go to, but Encore Audio's hard work and great ...
equipment made my ceremony flawless. The best audio service in the Berkshires/Hudson valley by far.
