We had to reduce our wedding from 200+ to 20 due to the pandemic, and so it was important to us to be able to invite everyone there virtually as we held our ceremony. Darren was attentive to what we wanted and helped us problem solve how to best execute lighting and audio in our venue. The virtual ceremony turned out amazing – like our family and friends still say how incredible it was and the fact that it went off without a hitch. We can't speak highly enough about his professionalism, responsiveness, transparency re: pricing, and willingness to go the extra mile. The lights were a last-minute (within the month) add-on. Not only was Darren happy to take on that added responsibility, but he visited the venue with the site coordinator (a visit that he organized himself), purchased a new lighting system so that he'd be able to control light color, intensity, and movement wirelessly for us, and even sent us photos and videos of that new system in action. During the dancing, Darren controlled the lights so that they responded to the music, and the tone that that set (more mellow early on, more club-like later) played a huge role in making the night so fun. The mics, speakers, and sound hook-ups that he provided and set up were unobtrusive and worked perfectly, and we greatly appreciated his patience and thoroughness in explaining the technology. We're so happy to have found him!

ing, Darren was easily the MVP. He was calm, professional, and responsive throughout the entire process and he proved to be an integral part of what made our wedding day the best day of our lives. The site presented some logistical challenges, including needing a battery powered PA on a windy hillside and setting up an 8-piece band in a tight space between two barns. Darren met with us at the site ahead of time and helped us brainstorm a Plan B in case of rain, he communicated with our coordinator and despite the challenge of pulling off live sound in 4 different locations over the course of the night, he really made it easy for us. The bottom line is that everything sounded amazing, I could not believe how good the band sounded and neither could our guests. We put a lot of effort into writing our vows and we hand-picked our own all-star group for the band, it was important to us that our guests could hear and feel what we had to say. Darren delivered and exceeded all of our expectations. It's clear that this is more than just a job to him, he's a consummate professional who has invested a great deal of time and resources into perfecting his craft. On top of all that, he's got a lot of heart and we felt the whole time that he wanted our wedding to be a success just as much as we did. What more could you ask for?

The audio was perfect the day of the wedding. I have been to some outdoor ceremonies where is was difficult to hear the music and vows, but we didn't have any such problems. Darren set up everything and was there through the entire ceremony, instead of sending someone else.

However, once I met Darren and realized that he would be handling all of the technology arrangements, I was relieved. Darren attended all of our venue walkthroughs in order to develop a complete set up plan for every space. On wedding day, he took a short load in time and a complicated set up and made everything work. He even took the lead with the MC, training him on the use of the equipment and prepping him for his job. In addition to all of the sound technology, Darren provided dramatic lighting that really brought the event design to life. Darren had a tough job but he and his team did it with professionalism and total competence. I highly recommend Encore and can't wait to work with them again in the future.

re the big moment it started to pour rain. We had to move the ceremony to a different location and Darren did a great job moving and connecting everything in an express time. The reception was challenging one too as the water started to pour into the tent. He did an excellent job securing everything and making sure the whole event went without any hiccups .
The second event we worked together was at the farm in the middle of nowhere in the hottest day of the summer. He installed his beautiful bistro lights right in between and above tables. I spoke with Darren, who quickly gave me a quote and equipment recommendations. The price point was right in line with what I expected and the equipment was top of the line. High quality directional microphones and a silent generator were included along with the speakers. Darren was very responsive, which is huge when planning a wedding. He worked with me to ensure our play list and sound cues were backed up 3x (in case of unexpected circumstances). He was also there the day of, tweaking the sound wirelessly through an Ipad to ensure everyone could hear. It was a pleasure working with Darren and Encore Audio.
