As someone who plans for a living and enjoys it greatly, I was not thrilled when my venue required us to have a day of coordinator (at the minimum). I hated the idea of paying someone to do something I normally get paid to do. I know there are many of us who think we are great at planning, but let me tell you, having a coordinator/planner is lifechanging. I came across Engaged Events when I attended my friend's wedding. I observed Candice in action because she was also on the list of my venue's preferred vendors. Candice and her team were great, and my friend raved about their services, so I was sold. Candice was so kind and flexible to work with me when we postponed our wedding date. Although she was unavailable for my event, I worked with her associate, Jenn Wolf. Jenn was AMAZING. Let me elaborate. Since I already had most of my vendors booked and all the big things set, I opted for t he Final Details package. My first meeting with Jenn, I was impressed by all the small details she thought of, her thoughtfulness and knowledge, and professionalism. She captured all the action items and shared her organized "minutes" with us. She thought of critical minor details that didn't even cross my mind. I came to this meeting feeling anxious and stressed, and left feeling like a huge burden was lifted. Throughout the entire process, Jenn was working behind the scenes, coordinating timelines, working with my venue and vendors to obtain necessary documents/insurances, kept me in the loop as needed, I could go on forever. She was timely, clear and thorough in her communications. When it came to crunch time, Jenn was on top of it all. I was scrambling making last minute changes and Jenn rolled with the punches and kept my vendors informed. My wedding was perfection thanks to Jenn! We did not feel stressed at all. She kept us on track, helped round up people for various things (this was like herding cats), helped us get some bites when we snuck away to eat a little during cocktail hour, and the icing on the cake - they neatly packed up all our stuff and put it in our hotel room so we did not have to worry about any clean up at the end of the night. My bridesmaids said of all the weddings they've been in, this was the easiest, most chill, organized wedding they have been part of. I cannot recommend Engaged Events enough - you made an anxious, type A bride feel at ease. Hiring Engaged Events was so worth every penny; not having to worry about all the little things, being able to relax and enjoy your day is priceless.

From our first initial email conversation, Candice showed true professionalism. She completely understood our vision and assisted along the way. She provided guidance as we had planned a wedding during a pandemic (and she truly showed patience with my crazy ass). The day of our wedding, Candice went above and beyond. She made my WHOLE family feel comfortable, and checked on us throughout the day. She kept us on schedule and made sure to coordinate with all other vendors BEFORE big moments were going to happen. My husband and I got married this past November 2, 2019 at Rancho Las Lomas and we could not have done it without Engaged Events. Our coordinator, Jenn Wolf, went so far above and beyond to make our wedding the most flawless unforgettable wonderful day of our lives. From our first meeting, Jenn was super organized and on top of everything and emailed me updated drafts of our big day along the way (which I LOVED because I am big on organization and planning). She is so sweet and was happy to help answer all of my millions of questions. Everything went smoothly the day of. There was one glitch at the end of the night with our late night snack delivery (not in any way Jenn or Engaged Events fault, completely mine and my husbands) and Jenn amazingly offered to go pick it up for us. Thanks to her our guests had their late night snack and left the event SO happy. She is literally amazing and our friends and family are still talking about how unbelievable our big day was. Everyone has told us that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to and that the service and people who worked the event were so amazing and we have Jenn and all of her assistants to thank for that. I want to throw other parties just so I can use them again (vow renewal next year perhaps? Or too soon?). Cannot recommend Jenn and everyone else at Engaged Events enough! Making the decision to hire Candice as a full-service wedding planner was 100% my best decision of planning my wedding in August of 2019. As a physician marrying a lawyer (both starting at new practices!), I had no time (and no prior vision for when/where/how , etc.) for wedding planning. A friend's friend connected me to her-and I am so, so grateful for the connection. Candice helped us from the very beginning (even helping us with venue selection), and was professional, detailed, and positive throughout! Although she had never helped with a wedding at our venue in San Diego (Tom Ham's Lighthouse), you would never have known. The day of our wedding was absolutely flawless, and I can truly say I was able to focus on enjoying my time with my husband and friends and family without any stress thanks to the detailed day-of coordination orchestrated by Candice and her team. My husband and I are so grateful that we hired Candice as our wedding coordinator for our San Diego wedding in November. We did a lot of the planning ourselves, but we hired Engaged for their "Final Details" package, which made the last couple months of planning, our rehearsal and our big day run so smoothly.

Jenna was our coordinator 2 months out from our wedding all the way through our big day. Leaving our first meeting with her, I was so overwhelmed with the little details she was asking about that I never would have thought of. I was thankful to have her to give us advice, tell us what's typical, and help us iron out the details. My husband said hiring Jenna and Engaged Events was THE BEST money we spent for our wedding. Having someone experienced with weddings to help make decisions and make our wedding day run smoothly was everything. I didn't really even have to think on our wedding day because Jenna and her assistants took care of everything and guided us through the days events. She even paid and tipped our vendors for us on the day of. I got to just relax and enjoy our special day. Jenna executed every detail of our wedding and coordinated with all of our vendors (who wants to deal with all the logistics in the week leading up to their wedding?!). When you spend all that money on a wedding, you need to hire a coordinator, even if its just for the last 2 months, like we did - that way they can beautifully execute all of the things that you picked out and chose for your wedding. You shouldn't have to worry about timeline, the order of events, vendors showing up with the right things, and timing/lining up your bridal party correctly to walk down the aisle. This was my first (and hopefully only) time getting married so how was I supposed to know everything to do!? Jenna was amazing and helpful with all of that. She is super responsive and a wonderful communicator. She walked us through every step of the way. Jenna directed our family and bridal party like a champion during our rehearsal, even down to the placement of their hands. Hire Engaged Events for your big day. They are amazing and inexpensive. Jenna at Engaged Events is the BEST decision you will make when wedding planning. I had no clue what type of wedding I wanted, nor did I understand anything about the planning process. She asks all the right questions to get to know you, figure out your vision, and is involved as much or as little as you want her to be in the decision making process. We told her the city we wanted to get married in during our first meeting & shortly thereafter she booked 3 site visits for us to do in 1 day. The 2nd venue we saw was EXACTLY what we wanted & we booked immediately. She just GETS it. She's the most organized person I know, stays in constant communication, gives you a road-map from day of engagement to wedding day that's easy to follow, but also gives you time to make those decisions so you don't feel pressured or stressed. She does everything in her power to take as much off of your plate as possible and ease your stress. She becomes your friend, your advocate, tells it to you straight, and by the end of wedding planning she could literally predict how I would respond to certain situations - she really knew me and my husband like the back of her hand. I wouldn't even know if there were any hiccups on my wedding day because she was so on top of every single detail, it was amazing. I can't recommend her and the Engaged Events team enough!!

Candice from Engaged Events helped us plan our 130 person wedding in Palos Verdes, CA. My husband and I are both attorneys, so fitting in time for wedding planning was a challenge. Candice provided us with a comprehensive checklist of every action item we needed to complete, kept us on track, and was very flexible in accommodating meetings in the limited amount of time we had for vendors. I am not a creative person, and Candice was able to put together my vision for a wedding with minimal input from me (other than some pinterest boards). Even my husband - the cost-conscious one :) - agreed that everything, including the flowers, chairs, tables, turned out perfectly. Candice was great, and we couldn't have done it without her.

Not only did Jenna hit the ball out of the park with the day of wedding coordination & planning - but she also put together an amazing beach party & rehearsal brunch the day before our wedding. There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed working with Jenna to plan our DREAM wedding! Our wedding turned out to be more than we could have ever possibly imagined. I can honestly say that the best decision we made in our wedding planning process was hiring Candice. Hands down, we could not have done our wonderful day at the Richard Nixon Library without her. While I almost went with another coordinator that my friend recommended from his wedding, the thing that drew me to Engaged Events and Candice was that she had so much previous experience with the Nixon Library. I didn't want another coordinator to try to figure out the Nixon Library (which is a government building, after all) for the first time at our wedding. Candice's experience with the Nixon Library was truly evident as we got closer to the wedding and I found out that even the security guards at the Nixon Library know her by name. Heck, she even knew the loading schedule by heart and which gates would be open and which wouldn't be during the morning of our wedding. Another thing that I liked was that Candice only does one wedding per week, so she doesn't overload herself by taking on too much. Candice has a true attention to detail and prepared things for the wedding that neither of us had even thought about. She truly made us feel at ease throughout the entire process. I can't say enough good things about her. The two assistants she brought with her to the wedding were also great, and my wife really appreciated their help with the details (like bustling her dress). She always kept us up to date on what's happening and what's next during wedding day and handled last minute changes like a champ (such as guests showing up at our wedding that we weren't expecting). She was always so relaxed and kept us relaxed as a result. After the wedding, Candice emailed us a super detailed recap of the day that included the actual timeline and how close we were able to stick to schedule. I'm super confident that Candice will be the best decision you'll make for your wedding.

I met Candice 4 years ago when she did my MOH's wedding. I loved her that day, her professionalism and great personality was amazing! Jenna was FANTASTIC! Not only was she professional, timely with emails and incredibly organized but she went above and beyond to make sure our special day was absolutely perfect! She handled the coordination of all our vendors, created the timeline and made sure everyone was on the same page so everything came off seamlessly. Beyond that she was supportive, kind and both she and her assistants made sure that we and our families had everything we needed on the day of so we could just relax and enjoy ourselves!

I knew from our first meeting that Candice was going to be great. We met with 3 different coordinators and Candice really stood out! She is super personable, friendly, helpful and very organized. We hired Candice for semi-full coordination and it was the best money we've spent! She replies to emails/texts/phone calls almost immediately and is always very helpful and gives couples a few options in order to make the best decision. Engaged couples-- believe it when they say HIRE A COORDINATOR (and no need to look further!) for your wedding. Its so true they say your wedding will go by in a blink of an eye so enjoy every second. I even misplaced my garter at the last minute and started to semi panic when Candice whipped out an extra one she just so happened to have! She literally thinks of everything!!! Candice was the first vendor we hired after our venue. She was absolutely amazing to work with. She asked questions I hadn't even thought about, gave great advice, and shared fabulous suggestions. She was super organized, always remembering what we spoke about last or what details were still up in the air for me. Provided a list of vendors to possibly work with. Every vendor we spoke with only had great things to say about her. Her communication was great, always replied promptly. Meetings with her were always on time and on our schedule. My husband always felt at ease talking to her. He's really shy but felt he was able to voice his opinion/idea. Our rehearsal ran so smooth. Our wedding party had an opportunity to meet her and she gave every helpful detail. The day of the wedding, she always had her cheerful game face on. We kept on track of the schedule she made for us, even squeezed in a couple of things so we didn't have to keep our videographer extra time. (Super helpful!) Her team was truly wonderful, as well! My in-laws were very impressed with her assistants who politely grabbed their car keys and loaded up our gifts and cards. I can't say enough amazing things about Candice. I was never bothered with anything or anyone... she did it all! An absolutely fabulous person!

Candice was far and away, aside from choosing my groom, the best decision we made!! She is the consummate professional; she is organized, efficient, polite but assertive when needed, caring, supportive, creative. Now that the wedding is over, I'm sad that I won't be working with her on a regular basis. Going in to this planning process, I had no idea about weddings or what I really wanted. Candice did a great job taking my loose ideas and narrowing and fine tuning them with her years of experience and expertise. She would select 2 or 3 of the best vendors in my budget range for me to meet with, rather than having to meet with too many. She also will be honest with you when an idea won't really work or when a vendor isn't the best option. I really valued this trait because I didn't just want a "yes-woman" who would do whatever I said, I wanted her input and valued her opinion to make sure I didn't do anything stupid or tacky. She stayed on top of each of our amazing vendors so that nothing was dropped. She made sure that we got the wedding of our dreams and that it went off without a hitch. I wasn't even nervous the day of because I knew she would take care of every detail. Thanks for an AMAZING day!
